Wen Xia had thought this night would be as restless as the previous one, but to his surprise, he actually slept soundly until morning.
He was woken up by his alarm.
Because the shooting schedule had fallen behind, Nana had mentioned in the group chat yesterday that everyone needed to gather earlier today.
When he woke up, he thought he was still dreaming—because would Lin Fengqi really be holding him like this in a dream?
Wen Xia was a bit dazed.
Before even opening his eyes, he could feel an arm wrapped around his waist and something soft and ticklish brushing against his chin. When he opened his eyes, he found his face almost buried in a mess of soft, black hair.
Wen Xia blinked in surprise and leaned back a little, only to discover that Lin Fengqi was actually hugging him.
Lin Fengqi’s head was nestled against his collarbone, warm breaths brushing over his skin, and his arms were securely wrapped around Wen Xia’s waist as if he were holding a stuffed toy.
He was sleeping deeply, undisturbed even by the blaring alarm clock.
Wen Xia stayed in that position for a while, stunned, until the alarm clock finally stopped on its own. He carefully turned over to reach his phone and switched off the alarm that was set to go off again in ten minutes.
Then, gently, he lifted Lin Fengqi’s arm off his waist and got out of bed.
Even after all that, Lin Fengqi still hadn’t woken up.
Wen Xia steadied his heartbeat and couldn’t help but squat by the bed for a moment, watching him sleep.
Lin Fengqi’s sharp, cold features looked much softer now, with all their usual intensity reduced, making him seem much more approachable, even gentle and peaceful.
His eyelashes were so thick.
And wow, that nose bridge was seriously impressive.
And his lips—they looked really kissable.
Maybe it was because he had just woken up and wasn’t thinking clearly, but Wen Xia found himself staring at Lin Fengqi’s sleeping face for a good few minutes. After all, he had never had the chance to observe Lin Fengqi so closely while he was asleep.
Back in high school, he often saw students falling asleep at their desks during the ten-minute breaks between classes. Wen Xia himself had done it countless times, especially during the stress-filled days of senior year, when everyone was exhausted and needed every spare minute to catch some sleep. But Lin Fengqi—Wen Xia had never seen him nap during a break, not even once.
How could someone have so much energy?
That question had baffled Wen Xia all the way until graduation.
After he had stared enough and was fully awake, Wen Xia rubbed his face and went to wash up.
However, as soon as he stepped into the bathroom, Lin Fengqi opened his eyes. He blinked blankly for a moment before flipping over and hugging his pillow tightly, burying his face in it.
The room was still dim, with the morning light barely filtering through the curtains. In the faint light, it was hard to see how red his ears and neck had turned.

And hugged him so tightly! So intimately!
But he hadn’t been in that position when he closed his eyes last night!
Lin Fengqi lifted his face and let out a heavy sigh. Then, as if realizing something, he buried his flushed face in his hands, lying flat on the bed.

There was the scent of his body wash and the natural fragrance of his clothes.

Lin Fengqi paused for a moment, then continued, “But if you’re not willing… then whatever you want me to do, I’ll do it.”
Wen Xia was stunned.
He was so shocked that he was momentarily speechless, and after Lin Fengqi finished speaking, he remained silent, waiting for a response.

Feeling somewhat frustrated, Wen Xia silently and sullenly changed his clothes, hearing the person in the bathroom sneeze a couple of times. After taking his medication, he asked Lin Fengqi when he came out of the bathroom, “Are you catching a cold too?”
Lin Fengqi replied, “No.”
“Then why do you keep sneezing?” Wen Xia asked.
“Just an itchy nose.”
Wen Xia hummed, “Oh, I also had an itchy nose before my fever started yesterday.”
Lin Fengqi: “…”
Lin Fengqi chose to ignore this, seeming to be firmly convinced of his strong immunity. He walked past Wen Xia and picked up the suit jacket he had worn yesterday from the sofa.
Wen Xia said, “You’re going to wear that? Isn’t it too formal? You’re coming with me to the shoot, right?”
Lin Fengqi nodded.
His luggage was still pitifully stored at the airport, and he had arranged for it to be delivered in the morning, but it hadn’t arrived yet. The clothes he was wearing now were still the ones Wen Xia had lent him yesterday.

So Wen Xia pulled out a pair of shoes from his suitcase for him. Luckily, their shoe sizes were close enough.
Lin Fengqi was a bit stunned. As he changed his shoes, he couldn’t help but glance at Wen Xia’s suitcase.

Actually, Wen Xia had brought both clothes and shoes in case the outfits prepared by the shooting team didn’t suit him. Sometimes he trusted his own fashion sense more.

The two left the room together and ran into Gui Qu Lai and a few other streamers staying on the same floor. The group’s gaze swept over their faces, showing no big reactions.

Wen Xia turned back to Gui Qu Lai and said, “We’ll take a walk around and see if there’s anything good to eat nearby.”
Gui Qu Lai wasn’t surprised and completely understood their desire for some couple time, “Got it.”
The two parted ways with the others at the hotel entrance. With half an hour left before the meeting time Nana had mentioned, they couldn’t go too far.
“Where’s that wonton shop?” Wen Xia asked Lin Fengqi, “The one you got food from yesterday.”
Lin Fengqi led him to the wonton shop, located about three hundred meters from the hotel. Compared to the more modern-looking shops around it, this one looked a bit outdated, standing out like a sore thumb.
They walked in, and the owner actually recognized Lin Fengqi, “Hey, you’re the young man who bought wonton noodles here yesterday, right?”
Lin Fengqi nodded.
“What can I get you today?”
Lin Fengqi looked at Wen Xia, who said, “Same as yesterday, I guess.”
So he turned back to the owner, “Two medium wonton noodles, to eat here.”
“Alright, take a seat.”
The shop was pretty crowded, but a table had just opened up as a group finished eating and left. The owner cleaned it up and called them over to sit.
They sat across from each other, and the wonton noodles were ready in no time.
“Two wonton noodles,” the owner announced with a cheerful cadence, “Enjoy your meal—”
The steaming hot wonton noodles were served. Wen Xia twirled some noodles around his chopsticks and watched Lin Fengqi add a bit of chili to his soup. He couldn’t help but say, “Eating spicy food with a cold—careful you don’t end up with a sore throat like I did.”
Lin Fengqi said, “I won’t.”
Still convinced he hadn’t caught Wen Xia’s cold.
Wen Xia didn’t say anything more. But as Lin Fengqi was about to take a sip of the soup, he suddenly said, “By the way, you mentioned earlier that you’d do whatever I asked—does that offer stand indefinitely?”
Lin Fengqi paused, slowly setting down his spoon, his expression growing serious again, “Yes.”
He gripped his chopsticks tightly, feeling a bit nervous. Since he had come out of the bathroom after washing up, neither of them had brought up the incident again, as if they had some unspoken agreement to let it go. Wen Xia didn’t mention it, so he didn’t either.
Even though he didn’t think they had gone all the way—after all, there was no evidence—he still wasn’t sure if he had done something short of that.
Wen Xia had said he hadn’t done anything, but Lin Fengqi believed Wen Xia was being kind and not holding it against him—Wen Xia had always been like that.
But he couldn’t just let it go.
He had done something Wen Xia didn’t like, so he had to take responsibility.
Wen Xia asked in a calm voice, “You mentioned taking responsibility earlier—how do you plan to do that?”
Lin Fengqi froze.
Wen Xia continued, “Usually, in situations like this, ‘taking responsibility’ means getting married, right? But we’re already married, so what else do you have in mind?” He looked at Lin Fengqi with curiosity.
“…” Lin Fengqi remained silent. The steam from his bowl of soup rose up, and he lowered his gaze slightly. When he looked up again, his eyes were filled with a determined resolve, and he boldly declared with a hint of selfishness, “No divorce.”
