IMPGS Chapter 80

IMPGS Chapter 80

The atmosphere in the room suddenly became awkward as the three of them exchanged glances without speaking.

After a moment, it was Xiao Cheng who couldn’t stand the silence anymore. He walked a few steps and sat down at the foot of the bed.

This gesture seemed to signal the twins to relax, and they each found a spot to sit.

Xiao Yixi had originally wanted to sit next to Xiao Cheng, but seeing the expression on his face, he hesitated for a moment and chose to sit beside his brother instead.

Xiao Cheng’s face didn’t seem too good.

Xiao Cheng thought about how to start the conversation, but it seemed like everything he was about to say would be something the twins didn’t want to hear.

After a brief silence, Xiao Cheng decided to change the topic. “Did you two come here for something?”

Xiao Yinan had already asked a few questions but hadn’t explained the purpose of his visit. Xiao Cheng didn’t completely trust the twins and feared they were up to something.

“Are you really worried?” Xiao Yinan’s expression was not pleasant, and Xiao Yixi tugged at his sleeve, but Xiao Yinan pretended not to notice.

From the moment they entered, Xiao Yixi had felt that the atmosphere between the two was strange. Now, he was sure his brother seemed to be really upset. Did Xiao Cheng say something earlier?

“What is there to worry about?” Xiao Cheng couldn’t admit that he was scared by two underage cousins. It would be embarrassing to say that out loud.

But, on the other hand, these two were not like regular minors. They were bolder than many adults.

“Did something happen just now?” Xiao Yixi asked anxiously.

Xiao Yinan and Xiao Cheng had been talking in an odd way, and neither of them was willing to tell him what happened. Xiao Yixi, who was curious by nature, wanted to know more the more they avoided telling him.

“Nothing happened. But you, what were you doing sneaking around at the door just now?” Xiao Cheng sized them up, and in his mind, he had an idea of what was going on.

Although Xiao Yinan refused to explain, Xiao Cheng could tell by observing Xiao Yixi’s reaction.

Just like how Xiao Cheng wanted a chance to talk to them, the twins probably wanted to ask him something too.

“I was just curious about what you were talking about.” Xiao Yixi said, feeling awkward about the earlier scene.

Xiao Yinan, having accepted the situation, finally let out a breath and his expression became calm.

“Are you sure you want to be with Luo Jingshu?”

Before Xiao Cheng could answer, Xiao Yixi, who had been sitting by, suddenly shouted, “What?! You and that Luo person are getting back together?”

Xiao Cheng rubbed his forehead, realizing that he often did this gesture when he was with the twins.

These two never gave him a moment of peace.

“I’m not getting back together with him.”

“But it’s just a matter of time, right?” Xiao Yinan pressed on, his tone sharp, trying to get an answer from Xiao Cheng.

Both of their identical eyes were fixed on Xiao Cheng, urging him silently.

Xiao Cheng didn’t directly answer the question. He cleared his throat instead. “That’s none of your business.”

“You always say it’s none of our business, but you never considered being with us, right?” Xiao Yinan’s eyes started to turn red, and his voice wavered with emotion.

He rarely cried in front of Xiao Cheng, and this sudden display of vulnerability caught Xiao Cheng off guard, leaving him unsure of how to respond.

Xiao Yixi was also stunned.

In the past, he would have immediately pulled on Xiao Cheng’s arm to ask nonstop, but now, he only furrowed his brow and softly asked, “Cheng-ge, is it really like that?”

This time, Xiao Cheng didn’t avoid the question and nodded in agreement. “Yes.”

This was one of the few times Xiao Cheng had firmly rejected the twins, and he thought they would start arguing, but to his surprise, they didn’t say anything.

Xiao Cheng watched as their eyes reddened in front of him. Even though they had the same face, their tears looked different. Xiao Yinan silently shed tears, while Xiao Yixi quietly sniffed.

Xiao Cheng wasn’t good at comforting people. He had already used up his little patience and tenderness on Luo Jingshu.

When he was resolute, even Luo Jingshu didn’t get any better treatment, let alone the twins.

Xiao Cheng didn’t try to comfort them. He just silently watched for a while and then quietly said, “I told you from the beginning.”

“Is it just because of our blood relation?” Xiao Yixi wiped away a tear.

He didn’t want to cry like this in front of Xiao Cheng, but as soon as he thought about Xiao Cheng’s cold demeanor, he couldn’t help but feel wronged.

“It’s not just because of that.”

Xiao Cheng was determined to make things clear. Fortunately, the twins weren’t too emotionally intense, so they were still able to listen to him.

“Yixi, Yinan, I don’t know why you two like me, maybe it’s just because of that childhood joke.”

“I can understand. People’s feelings are uncontrollable.”

Xiao Cheng sighed, “But matters of the heart can never be forced.”

“I don’t have those feelings for you, whether you’re my cousins or not, my answer would be the same.”

He had already fallen for Luo Jingshu, and aside from him, he didn’t want anyone else.

“We were never meant to be.”

Xiao Yixi opened his mouth, as if to say something, but the words caught in his throat. He could only stare at Xiao Cheng with red eyes, not blinking.

In the end, it all came down to not liking him.

Xiao Yixi had never felt this jealous before. He even thought to himself, how wonderful it would be if he could become Luo Jingshu.

Why on earth did Brother Cheng like that heartless little pretty boy?

“You like Luo Jingshu so much, but do you really know what kind of person he is?”

Xiao Yinan’s breath was disordered, his eyes fixed on Xiao Cheng’s face. “He’s not as innocent as you think.”

He always felt that Xiao Cheng had been deceived by Luo Jingshu.

If it weren’t for Luo Jingshu, would Brother Cheng accept them?

Xiao Yinan clenched his fists, a surge of intense hatred rising in his heart.

He wanted Luo Jingshu to disappear.

Forever disappear.

Xiao Cheng didn’t know what they were thinking, but just by looking at the twins’ expressions, it was obvious what they were feeling.

Xiao Cheng furrowed his brows. “I know he’s not a good person, but I like him, so I can accept all of his dark sides.”

He knew Luo Jingshu was bad, but as long as the other person didn’t break the law, he could forgive whatever else he did.

Just like raising a puppy, even if it misbehaves, it can only be taught slowly.

Here it comes again.

Xiao Yinan couldn’t put into words how he felt. Brother Cheng was thinking about Luo Jingshu again, wasn’t he?

“Do you really like him that much?”

But Luo Jingshu didn’t deserve it.

Why didn’t Brother Cheng want to share a little bit of that love with them?

“Where did we go wrong?”

Was it that they didn’t love Brother Cheng enough?

Xiao Yinan couldn’t believe it.

Luo Jingshu had even hurt Xiao Cheng, yet Xiao Cheng still chose to forgive him.

But they hadn’t done anything wrong, yet Xiao Cheng still wouldn’t give them a chance.

The clearer Xiao Cheng’s feelings for Luo Jingshu became, the more jealous Xiao Yinan grew.

There was a strange telepathic connection between the twins, and at this moment, their thoughts were the same.

If only Luo Jingshu would disappear.

Xiao Cheng hadn’t planned to bring this up so quickly, but since Xiao Yinan had mentioned it, he took the opportunity to address it.

“You haven’t done anything wrong to me, but you’ve made mistakes.”

The twins showed confused expressions, unsure of what he meant.

Xiao Cheng glanced at the door, lowering his voice as he spoke. “What have you been doing abroad?”

Xiao Yixi hadn’t reacted yet, likely thinking that Xiao Cheng would never know about that incident. But Xiao Yinan suddenly understood, his face filled with shock and anger.

Luo Jingshu had promised them he wouldn’t tell Xiao Cheng.

How dare he!

“I know that in some countries, such behavior is legal, but it’s not in China, and I can’t accept it.”

At this point, Xiao Yixi finally understood.

His face paled a little, his expression panicked as he looked at Xiao Cheng. “Brother Cheng, we…”

He wanted to explain that it was just curiosity, and after trying it once, he never did it again.

But Xiao Cheng interrupted him. “You’re young, you come from good families, of course you can turn your curiosity into action.”

“But you should also understand that some things are lines that can’t be crossed.”

His uncle probably wanted Xiao Cheng to say the same thing. It might not have been related to drugs, but it was still about teaching the twins what to do and what not to do.

Xiao Cheng spoke as though he were an exasperated father.

He kept talking, breaking down the reasoning for the twins.

The twins, who usually didn’t like to hear such preachy words, now felt dejected, not daring to explain themselves.

Xiao Cheng spoke until his mouth was dry, and Xiao Yinan handed him a cup of water. Xiao Cheng instinctively took a few sips to soothe his throat.

“Did you really understand what I said?”

The twins nodded. “We understand.”

Xiao Cheng wasn’t their parent. He could only offer reminders, but couldn’t be too harsh.

He thought to himself, if it were his own child who had made such a mistake, he’d break their legs.

But then again, he would probably never have children.

“Good, you understand. Now, go back.”

Xiao Cheng hesitated for a moment but couldn’t help but add, “There’s no possibility between us, don’t waste your thoughts on me.”

“I don’t want us to even be cousins.”

Xiao Cheng had never spoken such harsh words to them before, and the twins looked at him with pitiful, aggrieved expressions. “We know.”

Xiao Cheng sighed in relief, but felt like things were too simple.

Were the twins really that easy to talk to?

He shook his head, the doubt still lingering in his mind, when suddenly, he felt a wave of dizziness, and the surroundings started to blur.

Xiao Cheng had drunk some alcohol in the evening, and he had felt unwell before, but it wasn’t severe enough to make him feel like this.

He furrowed his brow, scanning his surroundings. His gaze fell on the cup he had set down earlier, and he suddenly widened his eyes in disbelief, looking at Xiao Yinan.

Xiao Yinan closed his eyes for a moment. “I didn’t want to do this.”

It all depended on whether Xiao Cheng had pushed him too far.

“You…” Xiao Cheng tried to steady himself by pushing his hands against the bed, struggling to keep his balance. “Where did you hide it?”

He had clearly seen Xiao Yinan didn’t bring anything with him.

When had Xiao Yinan made his move?

But this question didn’t matter anymore.

Xiao Cheng breathed heavily, his heart racing at an abnormal pace.

He tried to stand up, but his limbs felt weak, and before he could take two steps forward, his knees buckled, and he collapsed heavily back onto the bed.

The fall made Xiao Cheng dizzy, and it took him a while to regain his senses.

His vision was blurry, and the heat in his body intensified, like a fire was burning inside him.

If he looked in the mirror now, he would probably see his face flushed red, even his earlobes looking as if they had been dipped in blood. His eyes were glazed over, and he exuded an unfamiliar sense of sensuality.

Xiao Cheng tried to bend his fingers, trembling slightly before quickly relaxing them.

He couldn’t summon any strength.

Xiao Cheng couldn’t even hear anything around him; all he could hear was his frantic heartbeat, growing louder, making him afraid.

In the sound of his heartbeat, even a second felt like an eternity.

Xiao Cheng breathed heavily, feeling as though someone was standing beside him. He bit down on the soft flesh of his mouth, using the pain to briefly clear his mind.

“Get… out!”

After that one command, Xiao Cheng lost all strength again.

In his confusion and helplessness, a surge of intense hatred suddenly rose in his heart.

If the twins dared to do anything to him, even if it meant ruining everything, he wouldn’t let them off the hook.

A hand brushed his cheek, and Xiao Cheng grimaced in disgust, trying to turn his head away from the touch.

Xiao Yinan gripped his chin, forcing him to look at him. “I didn’t want to do this, but Brother Cheng, you left me no choice.”

Xiao Yixi stood silently beside them, watching his brother touch Xiao Cheng’s face with a strange expression.

When Xiao Yinan’s fingers landed on Xiao Cheng’s lips, Xiao Yixi couldn’t hold back any longer.

“Are you really going to do this?”

They had prepared everything long ago, but the two brothers had hesitated for a long time, not sure whether to use it on Xiao Cheng.

If Xiao Cheng hadn’t suddenly collapsed, Xiao Yixi wouldn’t have known that Xiao Yinan had already used it.

“Weren’t we supposed to… wait?”

Xiao Yinan cut him off. “Wait?”

“Until when?”

His face twisted with hatred, his voice cold and damp. “Until Brother Cheng sends you an invitation to the wedding?”

Xiao Yixi fell silent.

He stared at Xiao Cheng’s sweaty face, and a wave of desire surged in his heart.

Xiao Yinan knew exactly what he was thinking, and couldn’t help but laugh mockingly.

“Brother Cheng won’t ever like us.”

“If we don’t do this, we won’t get anything.”

Xiao Yixi was persuaded. He hadn’t really objected in the first place.

Rather than disagreeing, he was just bothered by Xiao Yinan keeping it from him.

Xiao Yinan pressed hard on Xiao Cheng’s lips, right on the injury, showing how deeply he hated Luo Jingshu.

He had wanted to do this as soon as Xiao Cheng had come to him with the wound earlier.

“Not only did you betray me, you even brought that bastard in front of me.” Xiao Yinan roughly rubbed the wound on Xiao Cheng’s lip.

The wound reopened, blood staining his fingers.

Xiao Cheng, still in a daze, could feel the pain as the wound tore again.

Tears welled up in his eyes, his handsome face showing a hint of fragility and vulnerability.

“Get out…”
