Xiao Cheng thought that being drugged was the most unbearable thing, but the twins always found ways to show him just how naive his thoughts were.
Listening to the two of them argue about who would go first was a form of torture for Xiao Cheng.
If he could, he really wanted to beat the two little bastards up.
Xiao Yinan was particularly stubborn on this issue. He usually didn’t talk much, but he surprisingly had a strong ability to argue, leaving Xiao Yixi completely at a loss for words.
As the silence stretched on, Xiao Yixi glanced at the clock hanging nearby; they had already wasted ten minutes.
He finally relented.
“Fine, I’ll let you have the first time.”
His words were reluctant, and it was clear he didn’t mean it sincerely.
Xiao Yinan let out a sigh of relief; he was genuinely afraid that Xiao Yixi would be unyielding.
No one knew his brother’s personality better than he did. If Xiao Yixi really didn’t back down, neither of them would get anything tonight.
Both of them were equally stubborn, so one of them had to give in.
After they reached an agreement, the two of them finally leaned in closer, staring at Xiao Cheng’s flushed, sweaty face for a moment.
“Sorry, Brother Cheng, for making you wait so long.”
Xiao Cheng scoffed internally, his half-closed eyes glistening with tears, making them look wet and red.
He couldn’t speak, only tilting his head away to avoid looking at their faces.
Xiao Yinan held one of his arms down and reached to unbutton Xiao Cheng’s pajamas.
Xiao Cheng pressed his lips tightly together, seemingly unresponsive to Xiao Yinan’s actions. But when Xiao Yinan unbuttoned two of them and continued to the next, Xiao Cheng couldn’t help but curse softly, “Get lost.”
Xiao Yinan paused his movements, pulling the already open collar even wider. Xiao Cheng’s pale skin seemed to glow under the light, every inch aligning with Xiao Yinan’s aesthetic.
He examined Xiao Cheng like a fine piece of art, taking in his current appearance.
“Brother Cheng, you look really beautiful.” Xiao Yinan struggled to find the right words to describe this scene.
He placed his hand over his heart, feeling it beat rapidly beneath his palm—this was the best proof.
Xiao Yinan took a deep breath and reached toward Xiao Cheng’s body.
Xiao Cheng furrowed his brows, his legs tensing up. If Xiao Yinan dared to come any closer, he would kick him away with all his might.
Just as Xiao Yinan’s hand was about to touch Xiao Cheng, a sudden knock sounded at the door.
Xiao Yixi and Xiao Yinan exchanged quick glances before turning to look at the door.
Who could be looking for Xiao Cheng at this hour?
Xiao Yinan glanced back at Xiao Cheng, who was sweating profusely. No matter who it was, they couldn’t let that person see Xiao Cheng like this.
He signaled to Xiao Yixi to keep an eye on Xiao Cheng while he jumped out of bed, barefoot, and walked to the door, pressing his ear against it to listen closely to the sounds outside.
The knocking came again, and at the same time, Xiao Yinan finally heard the voice of the person outside.
“Cheng Cheng, are you asleep?”
It was He An.
Xiao Yinan’s expression darkened. He turned back to Xiao Yixi and shook his head slightly.
What was He An doing here so late at night?
The two brothers remained silent, listening to the sounds outside.
After knocking several times without receiving a response, He An called out again.
“Yinan, are you in Cheng Cheng’s room?”
Xiao Yinan furrowed his brows, his gaze suddenly landing on Xiao Cheng, and his expression shifted to one of understanding.
When he entered earlier, Brother Chenghad indeed been holding his phone; it was possible he had done something at that time.
If He An was indeed called by Xiao Cheng, then they couldn’t just ignore her tonight. He An would definitely want to come in and see the situation for herself before leaving.
Xiao Yinan quickly made a decision in his mind. He ran back to the bed, whispering to Xiao Yixi, “We need to move Brother Cheng to the bathroom.”
The two of them supported Xiao Cheng’s shoulders, helping him to the bathroom, and then quickly turned on the shower.
The sound of rushing water echoed in the bathroom, and the twins let out a sigh of relief as they stepped out, closing the bathroom door behind them.
They straightened their clothes and tidied up the bed before finally opening the door.
He An had been knocking for a long time, filled with worry. When she saw the door open, her expression was momentarily stunned.
“Yixi, Yinan, you really are in Cheng Cheng’s room.”
He An took in the twins’ appearance, noticing that they didn’t have any visible injuries and their clothes were neat, indicating that they hadn’t been fighting inside.
She had been worried that Xiao Cheng might have had a confrontation with the twins.
Earlier, Xiao Ziyue had suddenly knocked on her door, saying that the twins had entered Xiao Cheng’s room and hadn’t come out for a long time, urging her to check on him.
Xiao Cheng had sent a message to Xiao Ziyue earlier, telling her that if the twins hadn’t come out after twenty minutes, she should knock on his door.
Xiao Ziyue, fearing that the twins might be up to no good, had asked He An to go check on them.
The twins could ignore her words, but they couldn’t just keep He An out of the room.
It turned out that her decision was the right one.
If it had been Xiao Ziyue knocking, the twins might have easily brushed her off with a few words.
He An carefully observed the two of them and suddenly noticed that Xiao Yixi’s sleeve was wet.
She tilted her head to look inside, “Where’s Cheng Cheng?”
Xiao Yinan’s heart raced, but he didn’t show any signs of nervousness on his face.
“Brother Chengis in the bathroom taking a shower.”
Xiao Yixi also smiled and explained, “We came to find Brother Cheng to play some games, and after finishing a round, he went to take a shower.”
He An felt a strange sensation as she listened to this explanation.
How did Xiao Yixi’s sleeve get wet?
After thinking for a moment, she smiled at the twins, “Aunt An has something to discuss with you. Since Cheng Cheng is in the shower, let’s go downstairs to talk.”
The twins exchanged glances; He An must have sensed something, and it seemed they wouldn’t be able to get what they wanted tonight.
If they missed this opportunity, who knew when they would have another chance.
Xiao Yinan wanted to say something, but He An smiled and took his hand, “Xiao Nan, you and Cheng Cheng have a good relationship. Aunt An is also at ease. If you feel wronged, you must tell me.”
Xiao Yinan’s heart skipped a beat, “Aunt An, don’t worry. We’re all fine, and we haven’t been wronged.”
The one who was truly wronged was Xiao Cheng.
He An smiled in satisfaction and then reached for Xiao Yixi’s hand. As if just noticing, she pointed at Xiao Yixi’s wet sleeve and asked, “What happened here?”
Xiao Yixi’s heart raced; it must have gotten wet in the bathroom earlier.
“I accidentally knocked over my water cup while drinking.”
“Did it burn you?” He An asked with concern. “Why didn’t Cheng Cheng say anything about getting a hairdryer to dry you off?”
She tilted her head to look into the room, as if wanting to go inside.
Xiao Yinan took a deep breath; there was no other choice but to persuade He An to leave. They couldn’t let her get close to the bathroom.
If she discovered what was happening, they would likely be forced to leave the country tonight.
“Aunt An, how about I take Yixi back to change clothes? Didn’t you say you wanted to talk to us?”
He gently held He An’s shoulder, acting cute, “Come on, let’s go.”
He An discreetly glanced toward the bathroom, “Alright, I’ll listen to you. I’ll come back to find Cheng Cheng later.”
The twins’ moods sank; it seemed they had to keep He An occupied and prevent her from looking for Xiao Cheng again.
They coaxed He An downstairs, and Xiao Yixi had initially wanted to use the excuse of changing clothes to stay behind, but he didn’t know if He An had seen through his intentions, insisting on waiting for him outside.
Reluctantly, he could only change his clothes and follow He An and Xiao Yinan downstairs, their figures quickly disappearing at the staircase.
A few minutes later, the door to one of the rooms suddenly opened, and Xiao Ziyue peeked out.
She looked around and, after gently closing her door, hurried to Xiao Cheng’s bedroom.
The door was unlocked.
Earlier, in front of He An, the twins had panicked and couldn’t do anything, quickly closing the door behind them before following her downstairs.
Xiao Ziyue didn’t knock; she was afraid her brother wouldn’t hear her and didn’t want to disturb the others downstairs. She quietly turned the doorknob and slipped inside.
Xiao Cheng wasn’t in the room. Xiao Ziyue looked around and heard the sound of water running from the bathroom.
It seemed Xiao Cheng was taking a shower.
Xiao Ziyue let out a sigh of relief.
Xiao Cheng had only sent her a message earlier without explaining why, and she had been extremely anxious, fearing something had happened.
She initially planned to turn around and leave, but after thinking it over, she quickly walked to the bathroom door and knocked.
“Brother? Are you in there?”
There was no response from inside the bathroom. Xiao Ziyue leaned in closer, listening to the sounds inside, “Brother?”
Although they were siblings, there was still a difference between genders, and no matter how anxious she was, Xiao Ziyue couldn’t just push the door open.
She knocked several times, thinking that even if the person inside was focused, he should have noticed her by now, but Xiao Cheng still didn’t answer.
Xiao Ziyue finally sensed that something was off.
“Brother!”
Her voice grew louder, and her knocking became more urgent.
Finally, she heard what seemed to be her brother’s voice from inside.
Then, suddenly, there was a loud crash, as if something had been knocked over.
Xiao Ziyue jumped in surprise, “Brother, what are you doing in there? Are you okay?”
Xiao Cheng seemed to mumble something indistinctly, and Xiao Ziyue couldn’t make out the words. She felt a surge of anxiety, unsure of what to do.
She couldn’t just push the door open; what if her brother wasn’t dressed?
She decided she needed help. Just as she turned to find Xiao Yu, Xiao Cheng’s voice came from the bathroom again.
“Ziyue?”
His tone was hurried and heavy, and even though she couldn’t see him, she could tell something was wrong.
“Are you feeling unwell?” she asked, her heart racing. “Should I call Dad to come check on you?”
Xiao Cheng shook his head, though she couldn’t see it. “No need…”
“Who should I contact?” she pressed, leaning closer to the door, straining to hear.
“Luo, Luo Jingshu.”
Xiao Cheng’s voice was labored, and he paused for a moment before continuing, “Don’t let anyone else know.”
“Go downstairs and meet him,” he instructed, his voice barely above a whisper.
