IMPGS Chapter 85

IMPGS Chapter 85

Luo Jingshu never expected that Xiao Cheng truly thought this way, and he was almost furious to death by Xiao Cheng’s words.

If you asked what Luo Jingshu was most looking forward to after what happened last night, it was undoubtedly reconciling with Xiao Cheng.

Regardless of whether last night’s events were entirely voluntary on Xiao Cheng’s part, what was done was done. After all the back-and-forth between them, Luo Jingshu had assumed last night’s events would mark a turning point.

Before falling asleep holding Xiao Cheng last night, he had even imagined in his mind the conversations that might take place this morning.

Never in his wildest dreams did he expect that Xiao Cheng wouldn’t even give him the chance.

Luo Jingshu couldn’t just let it go and quickly followed him to the door.

“I’m a completely pure and innocent young man. I’ve given you everything, and you still plan to shirk responsibility?” Luo Jingshu said while casually lifting his shirt, gesturing for Xiao Cheng to take a look.

Xiao Cheng glanced down and saw a certain puppy revealing his abs.

The firm and toned abdomen still bore a few red scratch marks. Given their placement, it was hard not to overthink.

Xiao Cheng had just barely managed to suppress the lingering heat of last night’s intense and ambiguous scenes, but the evidence on Luo Jingshu’s body shattered his resolve instantly.

His waist and legs began to ache again as his body, which had tasted indulgence, recalled the sensations from the night before. Heat rose to his face, and his cheeks flushed completely red.

“Do you have any shame?” Xiao Cheng scolded in a low voice, his tone biting with suppressed anger.

The marks on his own body were even more numerous. While showering earlier, he had taken a look in the mirror and silently cursed Luo Jingshu several times.

Calling him a dog wasn’t wrong—he really did bite recklessly when excited.

Luo Jingshu let out a couple of hums in response.

Now that he had successfully gotten his prey, Luo Jingshu grew even bolder. He had no qualms about speaking his mind in front of Xiao Cheng.

“If I had any shame, would I still be standing here right now?”

Xiao Cheng rolled his eyes at him. “Stay in the room for now. My uncle and the others are here too.”

Luo Jingshu muttered something under his breath, his tone full of grievance.

For once, Xiao Cheng felt a tinge of awkwardness. He turned back to pat Luo Jingshu on the head, but his hand froze midair.

It was simply too painful to move his arm.

Giving up the idea of patting Luo Jingshu’s head, Xiao Cheng instead reached out to pat his shoulder.

Unexpectedly, before he could pull his hand back, Luo Jingshu lowered his head, nuzzling it into Xiao Cheng’s palm.

The warmth and softness of his hair, fluffy to the touch, really felt like petting a puppy.

Xiao Cheng’s anger dissipated as he watched, and he couldn’t help but chuckle.

He seemed to forget that Luo Jingshu had used this same act of feigned obedience and vulnerability last night to soften his heart and gain his concessions.

“Alright, today isn’t convenient. Let’s wait for next time.”

Next time, he would formally introduce Luo Jingshu to his family.

Thinking of that scene, a trace of amusement flickered in Xiao Cheng’s eyes as his hand gently ruffled Luo Jingshu’s hair again.

Having gotten the answer he wanted, Luo Jingshu let out a quiet sigh of relief.

“Alright, I’ll listen to you, Brother Cheng.”

Now he suddenly became obedient, as if the persistent and unyielding person from earlier wasn’t him at all.

Xiao Cheng told him to wait in the room and opened the door slightly, poking his head out to look both ways.

Luo Jingshu watched his back and couldn’t help but find the sight amusing.

Brother Cheng is way too cute.

Unaware of the scrutinizing gaze from behind, Xiao Cheng confirmed the hallway was clear and finally let out a sigh of relief. He widened the gap in the door and slipped outside.

“Wait here for me a while. I’ll message you when I’m ready.”

Luo Jingshu stifled a laugh. “Alright, but don’t keep me waiting too long, Brother Cheng.”

Xiao Cheng agreed.

After the door closed, Luo Jingshu’s smile faded, replaced by an icy coldness in his expression.

He glanced at his phone, where a message awaited him: [Everything is ready.]

Luo Jingshu let out a soundless chuckle and muttered something under his breath.

Unfortunately, its intended recipient wasn’t there to hear it.

As Xiao Cheng went downstairs, a twinge of discomfort caused his deliberately neutral expression to almost falter.

His face briefly twisted in pain before quickly regaining a composed, indifferent look.

No one can find out.

Downstairs on the couch, someone was sitting. Xiao Cheng squinted slightly, and the person turned to look at him.

“Brother!” Xiao Ziyue quickly got up, rushing to his side and wrapping her arms around his waist.

“You scared me to death!”

No matter how much she knocked on his door last night, Xiao Cheng hadn’t responded. Xiao Ziyue had been so worried she cried.

If not for Luo Jingshu being there, she wouldn’t have known what to do.

“I’m fine.” Xiao Cheng drew in a sharp breath, his sore waist nearly giving out. However, not wanting his sister to notice, he forced a relaxed demeanor.

“Sorry for worrying you.” He patted her back lightly, holding her in a loose embrace.

Thankfully, Xiao Ziyue had been there last night. Without her, he truly would have been in trouble.

“You…” Xiao Ziyue hesitated before lowering her voice. “What exactly happened last night?”

She had been holding back her curiosity but couldn’t resist any longer.

Xiao Cheng knew Xiao Ziyue had probably guessed something. After all, she wasn’t a child anymore and understood a lot more than he gave her credit for.

“Are the others not around?”
He didn’t answer her question immediately, instead glancing around the room.

“They’re not. Mom, Dad, Uncle, and Aunt all went out,” Xiao Ziyue replied, carefully observing her brother’s expression. “As for Xiao Yixi and Xiao Yinan, they wanted to stay, but Mom called them away.”

Earlier that morning, during breakfast, Feng Yi had asked why Xiao Cheng hadn’t come down yet. Xiao Yinan had quickly explained that he and Xiao Yixi had played games with Xiao Cheng late into the night, so he was likely too tired.

The atmosphere at the breakfast table had been particularly odd. Xiao Ziyue had noted the twins’ expressions—both seemed rather unhappy.

It undoubtedly had something to do with what had happened last night.

Xiao Ziyue hadn’t dared to pry earlier, but now, with just the two of them, she finally asked her brother about it.

“Thank you,” Xiao Cheng said sincerely, expressing his gratitude.

He didn’t know how to explain everything clearly to her. The whole situation felt far too unbelievable to articulate.

But Xiao Ziyue wasn’t an outsider, so Xiao Cheng gave her a brief explanation, sharing the critical points while omitting some details.

When Xiao Ziyue finally pieced it together, her eyes widened in shock, and she struggled to find her voice.

Her reaction was surprisingly calm, which allowed Xiao Cheng to breathe a little easier. He massaged his temples wearily and said, “That’s basically it.”

Now she understood why her brother hadn’t wanted her to involve Xiao Yu last night. This kind of situation wasn’t something their parents could know about.

But Xiao Ziyue’s expression soon turned furious. “But, Brother! They bullied you like this—are you really going to let it slide?”

If the twins merely liked Xiao Cheng, that would be one thing. While she didn’t approve, she wouldn’t outright oppose it.

But what did they do?

Thinking about Xiao Cheng’s weak voice from the night before and his refusal to open the door, she couldn’t remain calm.

Even if she hadn’t witnessed it directly, Xiao Ziyue could imagine it. She’d heard enough warnings from their parents about being cautious around others.

Xiao Ziyue understood much more than Xiao Cheng thought.

“I’ll take care of it,” Xiao Cheng assured her. “Don’t get involved.”

Reluctantly, Xiao Ziyue nodded, though her face still showed her anger.

Xiao Cheng changed the subject. “Why didn’t you go with them?”

“I was waiting for you,” Xiao Ziyue said, glancing at the staircase. Her gaze turned sly. “Are you not going to let a certain someone come downstairs?”

Xiao Cheng froze, momentarily forgetting that Luo Jingshu was still upstairs. His expression turned awkward, and a faint blush crept up his cheeks.

“What certain someone? He has a name,” Xiao Cheng muttered.

Xiao Ziyue grinned mischievously. “Already standing up for him, huh?”

Xiao Cheng ignored her and sent Luo Jingshu a message, telling him to come down.

Now that the house was empty, it was the perfect time to send him on his way.

Before long, Luo Jingshu appeared at the top of the stairs. Thinking the house was empty, he whined as he descended, “I thought you forgot about me.”

The way he said it was so pitiful, like someone lamenting a broken heart after being played by a jerk.

Xiao Cheng coughed lightly, signaling that someone else was present.

Luo Jingshu immediately noticed Xiao Ziyue. He paused briefly before approaching with a natural expression. “Good morning, little sister.”

Xiao Cheng wanted to correct him—who’s your little sister? But Xiao Ziyue beat him to it.

“Good morning, sister-in-law!” she teased with a cheerful grin.

The air fell silent. Xiao Ziyue noticed the awkward expressions on their faces and realized her mistake. Considering Luo Jingshu was a guy, he might not like being called “sister-in-law.”

Just as she was about to change her phrasing, Luo Jingshu smiled brightly. “I like that title. Remember it—I’m your one and only sister-in-law.”

He emphasized the words ‘one and only.’

Whether man or woman, no one else was allowed to take his place.

Xiao Cheng felt his temples throb as if a vein might burst. Did Luo Jingshu even know the meaning of shame?

Xiao Ziyue covered her mouth, trying to suppress her laughter. Oddly, she felt Luo Jingshu suited her brother well.

So this was his type.

“All right, enough. You can leave now,” Xiao Cheng said, pushing Luo Jingshu toward the door.

“You’re just kicking me out after I worked so hard all night? I didn’t even get a drink of water,” Luo Jingshu complained with an aggrieved expression.

Xiao Cheng noticed his sister’s astonished expression from the corner of his eye. Feeling embarrassed and awkward, he snapped, “What nonsense are you spouting?”

Luo Jingshu didn’t back down. “You can call me out on other lies, but not this one!”

This was a matter of a man’s dignity—he wouldn’t back down.

Xiao Cheng wanted to kick him, and he actually did.

“Get lost already!”

Though Xiao Cheng tried to maintain composure, Luo Jingshu clearly wasn’t bothered by anything, not even in front of Xiao Ziyue.

While Xiao Cheng might have thought no one understood, his sister could see the dynamics between them clearly.

Having observed how Luo Jingshu behaved when he got “beaten” and didn’t flinch, she finally felt reassured.

She’d seen her brother miserable after their breakup and never trusted Luo Jingshu fully.

But now, seeing how Xiao Cheng held the upper hand, she felt relieved.

At least her brother wouldn’t be on the losing side anymore.

After sending Luo Jingshu out, Xiao Cheng noticed how reluctant he was to leave. Every few steps, he would look back, clearly stalling for time.

When Luo Jingshu finally got in his car, Xiao Cheng realized something serious.

The car parked in the driveway was glaring proof someone had stayed over last night.

If his family saw it, wouldn’t it be obvious someone had been here?

All his efforts to keep things discreet were utterly pointless.

Xiao Cheng felt an intense urge to cover his face. Just imagining his family’s reaction to the random car in the garage gave him a headache.

“By the way, the matter you asked me to handle is already done,” Luo Jingshu said, lowering his car window to look at Xiao Cheng.

Xiao Cheng froze for a moment before recalling what he’d asked Luo Jingshu to do earlier—deal with the twins.

That man certainly worked fast.

“Was it necessary to rush? I might not have time until tonight.”

Luo Jingshu’s eyes gleamed with amusement as he stared at him. “What’s keeping you busy?”

He had only asked casually, but Xiao Cheng’s answer nearly made him explode with anger.

“Oh, Senior Xie asked to see me about something.”

Xiao Cheng tilted his head slightly, his lips curving into a deliberate smirk.

“He said he has a New Year’s gift for me.”

Senior Xie.

The smile on Luo Jingshu’s face froze.

Oh, it could only be Xie Zhao, that conniving bastard!
