GTRSH Chapter 35

Dodge

For Yu Xinche, peeling shrimps was actually something he did often.

Crayfish was a must-eat in Jiangcheng in summer. It was not very convenient to eat with gloves, but without gloves, your hands would always be greasy after peeling the shells and eating, and would also be stained with the smell of garlic or sesame.

When he went out to eat with his roommates, he usually ate other side dishes first. Once he decided to eat shrimp, he would eat all at once until he was satisfied, then wash his hands and pick up his chopsticks to eat something else.

If someone wanted to eat again after washing their hands and shouts “Dad”, those who were still eating shrimp would help peel a few more for their son.

Although He Ci didn’t call him dad, he was Yu Xinche’s AD.

As yu Xinche took care of his AD more and more in the game, it gradually formed a muscle memory and developed into a subconscious habit.

Seeing that He Ci’s hand was uncomfortable, his helping instinct kicked in and he helped peel a shrimp.

Yu Xinche thought this was a trivial matter, but He Ci didn’t seem to think so.

The look He Ci gave Yu Xinche was straightforward, with undisguised surprise.

His expression was also a little stiff.

Maybe He Ci didn’t know how to react, so he just stared at yu Xinche in silence.

Yu Xinche felt a little flustered when being looked at like this. He looked away and explained, “No need to thank me. I was just trying to control my teammates.”

He Ci’s shoulders relaxed slightly when he heard this: “If I eat it, won’t that mean you’re controlling me?”

Yu Xinche nodded very honestly and admitted confidently, “Yes.”

He Ci thought for a moment and ate the shrimp: “Congratulations, you’ve got me under your control.”

Yu Xinche smiled, held up five fingers to him, and said in a somewhat pretentious manner: “It’s a piece of cake.”

“Awesome.” He Ci also smiled.

Not many people heard their conversation. After the waiter served a batch of seafood, a live king crab was brought into the private room and said that this was what they were waiting for and they could take a photo as a souvenir.

Including its claws, the crab was bigger than a computer monitor. Everyone got up from their seats and gathered around to take lots of pictures.

He Ci had seen this a lot and didn’t take it seriously, and Yu Xinche didn’t want to join in the fun.

So they sat there as steady as a rock without moving.

After taking pictures, everyone came back to continue eating.

Yu Xinche continued the previous topic: “Still eating?”

He Ci was stunned again after hearing this, but this time he quickly responded: “If I told you that I still want to eat it, you will continue to peel it? You are so considerate.”

Yu Xinche originally wanted to say “yes”, but he swallowed the words back when they came to his lips.

It would have been better if He Ci hadn’t asked. Once He Ci asked, Yu Xinche felt that he was indeed too considerate.

Just now, it was just the two of them, so he thought it was okay. But now there were so many people…

Just by imagining the scene of everyone seeing him helping He Ci peel shrimps, his face seemed to start to heat up.

Yu Xinche didn’t answer and He Ci didn’t force him, saying, “Don’t worry about me, just eat. I’m just resting my wrist, it’s not that I can’t move it.”

Yu Xinche found himself actually relieved: “Yeah.”

After dinner, they went to the stadium to take some tourist photos, and got up early the next day to take a flight back to Jiangcheng.

It was almost one o’clock in the afternoon when the plane landed. They had some fast food at the airport and then got on the bus sent by the base.

The bus was very spacious, and usually the five of them would sit in two seats each. But today there were other staff members on the bus, so Yu Xinche sat in the same row as He Ci.

The bus itself was a very hypnotic means of transportation, and with the buff of the biological clock, Yu Xinche fell asleep quickly.

His head swayed with the bumps of the car, and after being awakened once, Yu Xinche changed his position and leaned his head against the car window. However, this was even more uncomfortable, as the vibrations from the car’s operation were transmitted through the window, making him want to vomit.

In a daze, he sat up again, tilted his neck and fell asleep again.

When he woke up again, the car had stopped and we had just arrived at the base.

Yu Xinche heard footsteps nearby, probably someone was about to get off the bus.

He didn’t move, but slowly opened his eyes and took three seconds to slowly wake himself up.

Uh, why does it feel like his head was resting on something?

He quickly raised his head and found He Ci still sitting beside him.

Seeing that Yu Xinche was up, He Ci raised his hands and grabbed his shoulders to stretch them.

Yu Xinche was stunned: “Have I… been sleeping like this all the way?”

After asking, Yu Xinche realized that this question was a bit stupid. Whether it was for a whole day or just one minute, the behavior had already happened. The length of time was not important. The fact that he was leaning on He Ci to sleep in a somewhat offensive way was the point.

He Ci said “hmm” lightly: “It’s a small matter, just leave when you wake up.”

Then, without waiting for Yu Xinche to say anything, he stood up and got out of the car alone.

Yu Xinche also followed him, looking at He Ci’s back and feeling confused.

He Ci was not the type to get angry about something like this, but his reaction just now was indeed a little cold. Yu Xinche was ready to listen to his teasing, but he just ended the conversation lightly.

Maybe he was too tired from flying?

Or did he receive some news in the car and need to deal with it urgently?

Yu Xinche couldn’t figure it out, so he stopped thinking about it.

He doesn’t like to waste his time on overthinking things. Just like in school where he would put aside the questions he didn’t know how to answer, he would file and put aside the things he didn’t know how to handle.

He still had practice in the afternoon, and he couldn’t let such trivial matters affect his state.

There was no training match scheduled for today. The long journey made everyone tired, so the coaching staff just asked everyone to play some ranked games today to keep their hands in shape.

After that, the coach scheduled training matches with SUG for two consecutive afternoons, which was the team that competed with the five million bid for him against He Ci at the draft.

Yu Xinche originally thought that the bottom lane opponent would be Tang Xi and his Paw Patrol’s AD Ke Yiqi, but when he got the training match roster, he found out that the AD was another veteran player Death.

He asked his teammates and found out that SUG had bought another strong AD during the transfer period.

Between the experienced professional players and the inexperienced newcomers in training, SUG naturally let Death be the starter and Ke Yiqi had to become a substitute.

When SUG’s roster was first released, a small number of fans who were training camp came to the official comment section to condemn it, saying that the club was wasting time on newcomers.

But after that, Tang Xi and Death played two games, and their bottom lane treated the opponent like an easy dish served to them every time.

Strength speaks for itself in e-sports , and those who condemned it previously cannot find a suitable entry point and gradually disappeared.

No one had posted in the Paw Patrol group since the training ended. Yu Xinche himself doesn’t often visit the forum, and He Ci asked him to read it less, so he didn’t find out about this until now.

The training match was about to begin. Yu Xinche suppressed his anxiety and forced himself to get into the right state.

The bottom lane teams of both teams were composed of an experienced AD and a rookie support, and their strength was comparable to them. If you had to calculate, Tang Xi joined the team a few days earlier than Yu Xinche and had an extra week to get used to his partner.

In the first game, He Ci chose [Lightning], a mage hero who mostly played in the middle and top lanes. But in the recent game version, bottom lane attack speed Lightning had emerged, and some people also chose it to play the bottom lane, which worked wonders.

TZ followed the trend and tried the hero’s effect in training matches.

Yu Xinche chose Swamp as He Ci’s partner. In this game, he went for a semi-tank style, and the swamp gas from his second skill could help the team make up for some physical damage.

He played the Swamp quite well, and was not inferior to Tang Xi’s signature hero [Rainbow] in this situation.

The two sides fought back and forth in the bottom lane, and finally Yu Xinche’s ball of mud fixed the opponent’s AD’s [Rain] at a very tricky angle.

Rain had no life-saving skills and was quickly killed by He Ci.

TZ was very good at snowballing. After He Ci seized this advantage, he did not give the opponent a chance to breathe. He called Xiao Ou to kill two waves in the bottom lane.

The first game was won with a crushing momentum.

The two sides were tied in the second game. After playing for nearly fifty minutes, SUG scored a goal by stealing the home base.

In the third game, Xiao Ou performed well and controlled most of the map resources. He also continued to suppress the bottom lane group. This game seemed calm and there were not many kills, but under the calm command of TZ’s double C, they won with perfect operational ideas.

They won 2:1. After the game, Yu Xinche didn’t had time to be happy about his victory. He immediately picked up his phone and wanted to send a message to Ke Yiqi to ask him how he was.

But when he opened the chat room for two people, he hesitated. His fingers hovered over the keyboard for a long time without typing a single word.

As members of the bottom lane group of the first training team, Ke Yiqi didn’t even get to play in the training match, while Yu Xinche won the MVP in the debut match.

He felt sad for his friend from the bottom of his heart, but since he had not experienced it, he could not truly empathize with him.

No matter how nice the consolation sounds, If Yu Xinche says it, it would be like talking from a pedestal, and might even embarrass the other person.

This might be the reason why Ke Yiqi didn’t talk to him.

Yu Xinche tightened his grip on the phone, feeling mixed emotions for a moment.

“Let’s go and review the game.” He Ci reminded.

“Coming.” He closed the dialog box and went to the review room with his teammates.

Unless there was an emergency, they would review the game on the spot after the training match.

The coach was still watching the replay, so they went in to rest and wait.

He Ci and Kong Zhiyi were still the same, occupying a single sofa each as soon as they entered the room. Kong Zhiyi was very close to the water dispenser, so he raised his hand to get himself a glass of water.

He Ci was busy looking at his phone. After sending the message, he looked up and found Yu Xinche staring at the floor in a daze.

Yu Xinche’s mouth was pouting, and if there were animal ears on his head, they would definitely be drooping.

He Ci called out to him, “Why are you looking so sullen? Didn’t you win?”

Yu Xinche shook his head, not wanting to say anything.

“Is there any need to ask that?” Xiao Ou sat next to Yu Xinche, “You’re worried about your training teammate, aren’t you?”

Yu Xinche: “En.”

He Ci shook his phone and said, “Death only signed for half a year, your friend still has a chance.”

Yu Xinche raised his head, his eyes widened and sparkled: “Really? How did you know?”

“I asked a friend.” He Ci paused and cleared his throat. “Your friend was brought to the review meeting so he is not being hidden. If he cooperates well with Tang Xi, he should be able to play.”

He Ci’s voice was noticeably low, and Yu Xinche stood up and poured him a glass of water.

He Ci took it and drank two sips, and his throat felt much better.

The others could also see that Yu Xinche was in a bad mood. Xiao Ou looked at the other two and said, “Tsk, why didn’t you pour me some water? Did I play badly just now, Xiao Che?”

“Ah, I’ll pour it now.” Yu Xinche didn’t mind and went to get another glass.

He Ci felt that Xiao Ou was just looking for trouble, so he glanced at him and said, “You’ve been lying down for a while, and you still want your teammates to pour you water?”

Xiao Ou: “It can only be poured for you, not for us, right?”

CONTROL: “He helps you pour water, and you help him quarrel. It seems that what the fans said is not wrong.”

He Ci knew from their attitude that they were not holding back, but Yu Xinche had just arrived and had not yet fully understood the temperaments of the three of them.

He replied bluntly: “What are you saying?”

BURN immediately responded: “Even I ship the two of you a little.”

Yu Xinche’s hand shook and the water almost spilled.
