ATISIUP Chapter 61

With that, the guide left promptly, leaving them to settle into their dorms.

Female dormitory 8-1.

“Wow, this living environment is amazing!”

A young-looking woman exclaimed in awe.

This opened the floodgates, and the previously silent group began chatting enthusiastically.

“The living conditions here are really good. I’ve worked so many jobs, and only the one for the wealthy on Rich Star could compare.”

“And look at this dorm—it even has such a large floor-to-ceiling window. I’ve only ever lived in basements before.”

“Look at the things they’ve provided for us. The bedding is so soft and silky. It feels like one of those high-end materials I encountered when I worked at a textile factory.”

A woman arranging her bed commented.

Zhou Ling, who was also in this dorm, chimed in after hearing this.

“That’s not all. Look at our dorm’s furniture—the beds, desks, and cabinets. They’re from the same brand as the furniture I saw while working as a babysitter. It’s a brand known for natural, pollution-free materials and is quite pricey. Even my employer back then only bought it for their children’s rooms.”

After much discussion, everyone finally came to one conclusion: this company must be extremely wealthy.

But in reality, the actual head, Comrade Lin Huanyan, though not poor, isn’t really associated with being rich at the moment.

The truly wealthy ones are the other shareholders. The massive building complex was built by the Imperial Government, the expensive laboratory equipment was provided by the Imperial Research Institute, the routes and logistics are handled by the Tianyu Star Pirate Group, and the online stores and advertising are sponsored by the Kara family.

The Imperial Government, one of the two superpowers, has already invested hundreds of billions into constructing the buildings, so naturally, they didn’t skimp on interior furnishings—they chose items that look decent enough.

Male Employee Dormitory 30-1

Po Li and Gan Xia chose a dorm room. Besides them, there were two others: a very young guy, only in his 20s, and an 80-year-old man who, given the average interstellar lifespan of 200 years, was still in his prime. Ironically, the three of them were relatively young in comparison, especially the 20-something—he was almost too young.

After exchanging greetings, everyone started settling into their beds.

Po Li, who had a mild case of OCD, began organizing his belongings according to his usual habits.

While the others hadn’t even begun unpacking, Po Li had already opened his bag and started placing his things in the cabinet.

“Ah, I finally remembered what it is!”

Gan Xia, who was making his bed, suddenly shouted.

The exclamation startled Po Li, and he almost dropped the cup he was holding.

The sudden outburst didn’t just frighten Po Li; it also caught the attention of the other two, who looked over as well.

“What did you remember?”

“That interstellar ecological company, Wanwu Sheng Interstellar Ecology Company, which you asked me about before we got off the spaceship—I knew it sounded familiar, but I couldn’t figure out why. Just now, I finally remembered.”

The other two chimed in:

“Wanwu Sheng Interstellar Ecology Company? Isn’t that the name on the tallest building outside?”

“Isn’t that the name of our company?”

“Then tell us—where have you heard of it?”

All three of them looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue. Everyone was curious about the company they worked for, but the recruitment process had been highly secretive. They didn’t even know the company name until they were hired.

Seeing everyone’s attention focused on him, Gan Xia straightened up slightly, feeling a bit excited, similar to the thrill of sharing “insider news” with Po Li earlier—but now with a bigger audience.

“Wanwu Sheng Interstellar Ecology Company. You’ve never heard of it, right? It’s not one of those well-known, old interstellar companies. I only came across it by chance on the star network.”

“It was in a science popularization post listing companies with deep backgrounds. Our company was among them. Reportedly, the major shareholders include the Imperial Government, the Imperial Research Institute, the Kara family, the Tianyu Group, and a mysterious entity called the Black Hole Laboratory—I’ve never heard of that one, but it’s supposedly the largest shareholder.”

“So, our company is really powerful, huh? But what exactly does it do?”

“Probably something related to plants and animals? Didn’t they ask us questions about that on the written test?”

“I think so, too.”

Everyone felt excited, eagerly anticipating the work ahead.

However, after two days in the dorm without any assigned tasks, someone couldn’t help but ask:

“What’s going on? Why haven’t we started working yet?”

“It seems we’re waiting for everyone to arrive. Some employees are still on their way due to the long travel distances.”

Finally, on the third afternoon, after all 3,000 employees had arrived, the company announced a meeting.

Po Li and the others followed the crowd to a dome-shaped building. It was an enormous auditorium, and even with so many employees present, they only filled a small section.

Lin Huanyan waited nervously in a backstage room, listening to the leadership announce various company rules and disciplinary policies.

The process unfolded step by step until, finally:

“Now, let’s welcome Professor Lin Huanyan, the highest-ranking official of Wanwu Sheng Interstellar Ecology Company, to address everyone.”

Lin Huanyan took a deep breath and slowly walked toward the stage.

She had never imagined herself reaching this point—a seemingly ordinary, socially anxious girl now standing as the head of a major company, addressing thousands of employees.

Her achievements were undoubtedly due to her unique abilities and knowledge from Earth, but they were also inseparable from her relentless efforts to move forward.

This was only the beginning, and she firmly believed that under her leadership, Wanwu Sheng Interstellar Ecology Company would one day become a world-famous supercompany.

Standing on the stage, Lin Huanyan gazed at the dense crowd of employees below. The sight was truly nerve-wracking.

Though still nervous, she didn’t let it hinder her speech.

“Hello, everyone. You have gone through a rigorous selection process to join Wanwu Sheng Interstellar Ecological Company. While you know the company is powerful, you probably still don’t know what exactly we do, right?”

“I’ll give you a chance to guess what our company does. Anyone who guesses correctly will receive a mysterious prize. Who wants to give it a try?”

“Okay, you there. Please stand and answer.”

Lin Huanyan called on a woman sitting in the front row who had enthusiastically raised her hand.
