Ah Sui had just politely declined the waiter’s offer to enter the dessert shop a moment ago, yet the next second, he slapped himself in the face by sitting in someone else’s private room. On his right sat Blairand, and across from him sat a golden-haired military female whose age was hard to determine. His eyes were a bright green, and his features faintly resembled Blairand’s, though more mature.
The atmosphere at the dining table was extremely awkward, with no one daring to speak first.
Blairand’s male father might have blue eyes.
Ah Sui observed carefully for a long while before coming to this conclusion. He lowered his head in silence, never expecting that the zerg he had seen sitting in the sports car earlier was actually Blairand’s female father. His luck really was terrible—on the very first day out, he had already run into a stroke of bad luck.
What should he do?
As Ah Sui was silently struggling with his thoughts, Chief Harrington was also observing the unfamiliar male zerg in front of him, his sharp eyes never letting up since the moment he entered.
The roots of his hair were darkened, clearly dyed; his eyes were light blue, and the traces of contact lenses were quite obvious. His face, however, was decent—no signs of plastic surgery—and he perfectly matched the picky aesthetic of southern female zergs.
Disguised and with a suspicious identity, his face unfamiliar—he wasn’t from the Imperial Capital’s noble circles.
In just a brief glance, Chief Harrington had already noticed many suspicious details. However, out of respect for the male zerg, he didn’t rush to ask any questions. Instead, he shifted his gaze to Blairand beside him and deliberately asked, “Blairand, who might this gentleman be…?”
Upon hearing this, Blairand’s heart tightened. He hadn’t yet figured out how to introduce Ah Sui. The Imperial Capital was a place that placed great importance on status, and if Chief Harrington found out that Ah Sui was a fugitive, things would likely escalate into a big mess.
Just as Blairand was preparing to come up with some excuse to get through the situation, Ah Sui suddenly spoke up on his own, politely introducing himself, “Hello, Uncle. My name is Ah Sui.”
The vast majority of male zergs in the Imperial Capital would not be so polite. Ah Sui, with his posture upright and proper, caused Chief Harrington to pause for a moment. He quickly recovered, nodding slightly, and smiled as he said, “Your Excellency, you’re too kind. My name is Harrington; you may address me by my name.”
Although Ah Sui had grown up in a village, the rules of respect for elders were strictly observed there, so he naturally wouldn’t commit the impolite act of addressing an elder by their first name. “You are the elder; it’s only proper,” he replied.
Blairand gently tugged at Ah Sui’s sleeve under the table, signaling for him to stay silent. Chief Harrington was best at analyzing information, and Ah Sui wasn’t particularly sharp. It would be troublesome if he accidentally let something slip and gave away too much.
Ah Sui didn’t quite understand but obediently closed his mouth.
Blairand just wanted to quickly get Chief Harrington out of the way, so he seriously spoke up to break the silence: “Didn’t you say you’d be returning to the Imperial Capital at the end of the year for your official report? Why did you suddenly come from the south today?”
Chief Harrington glanced at Blairand indifferently. “I heard from General Saphir that you were captured when clearing out interstellar pirates in the outskirts, and after returning, you took sick leave due to your mental energy being agitated. Naturally, I had to come check on you. I had originally planned to go to the palace to meet with the Zerg Emperor, but I didn’t expect to run into you on the side of the road.”
Chief Harrington still found it hard to believe as he recalled the scene he had witnessed on the roadside earlier. Blairand had always been proper and well-mannered—how could he be hugging a male zerg so openly in front of everyone?
Blairand lowered his gaze and said, “It’s just some small issues. Thank you for your concern. But it’s getting late, and if you’re going to meet the Zerg Emperor, it would be better to set off sooner.”
Chief Harrington pretended not to notice the hint of urging him to leave in Blairand’s words. “No rush. This is the first time I’ve met this gentleman. Out of courtesy, I should treat him to a meal. The Zerg Emperor is still in a meeting, so it shouldn’t be over too soon.”
He had already guessed the relationship between Blairand and Ah Sui, but he didn’t expose it. After speaking, he raised his hand to call the waiter and ordered a few dishes, subtly probing for information about Ah Sui’s identity.
Chief Harrington smiled warmly and kindly. “You seem a bit unfamiliar. I don’t believe we’ve met before. Are you also from the Imperial Capital’s starfolk?”
Ah Sui shook his head and explained, “I’ve only been in the Imperial Capital for a couple of days. I didn’t live here before.”
Chief Harrington asked, “May I ask your surname?”
Ah Sui replied, “My surname is Wen.”
Chief Harrington paused, then asked, “So you…?”
Seeing that Chief Harrington was asking more and more questions, Blairand spoke up to interrupt. “Ah Sui used to live in Tiris, and his family is in the tourism business. He came here this time to explore the tourism prospects of the Imperial Capital. He doesn’t go out much, so please don’t frighten him.”
Blairand had once heard Ah Sui mention that he was accidentally captured by interstellar pirates while traveling, so he casually fabricated an identity for him. Although Ah Sui looked so naive, he didn’t seem like the type to be involved in business dealings at all.
Chief Harrington chuckled and, recognizing the cue, fell silent.
As they spoke, the waiter had already brought over drinks and pastries. Ah Sui, sitting at the outer edge, noticed the waiter struggling a bit and proactively reached out to help. He placed one of the cakes in front of Chief Harrington, then in front of Blairand, and finally kept one for himself. His thoughtful and considerate actions were a sharp contrast to the male zergs of the Imperial Capital.
When Ah Sui ate, he wasn’t as formal and disciplined as a noble. If he found something delicious, he would directly cut a piece from his plate and pass it to Blairand, quietly signaling for him to try it. Blairand didn’t mind and ate it without changing his expression, which made Chief Harrington start to suspect that his own zerg offspring’s previous obsession with cleanliness might have been fake.
The meal felt somewhat bland and tasteless. Chief Harrington, with his sharp eyes, noticed the zerg markings on the back of Blairand’s neck had changed color. His expression darkened for a moment, but he refrained from reacting due to the occasion. Ah Sui, on the other hand, was sweet-tongued, constantly calling him “Uncle” in a gentle and respectful manner, acting obedient and understanding, which made it difficult for anyone to be angry with him.
Chief Harrington’s sour expression unconsciously softened a little.
In the southern regions, 99% of female zergs are obsessed with appearances. They have no other interests, only a love for beautiful things. Ah Sui had a delicate, fair complexion and a tall figure. What was even rarer was his good character and polite manners, making him an existence in the Imperial Capital that was hard to come by.
If a male zerg like this were with Blairand, Chief Harrington wouldn’t have any objections. However, Ah Sui’s identity was suspicious, and he wasn’t from a noble background, which inevitably made Harrington feel uneasy and hesitant.
Ah Sui didn’t know what was on Chief Harrington’s mind. He carefully hid his identity as an interstellar pirate, intending to leave a good impression on Blairand’s female father. After finishing the meal, he even accompanied the chief to stroll around a nearby shopping mall, carrying the bags, chatting, and flattering him, making the chief smile from ear to ear. Blairand quietly followed beside them, making him seem more like a passerby.
“Your Excellency, thank you for your company. It’s getting late, and I should head to the palace to meet with the Zerg Emperor.”
Seeing that it was getting late, Chief Harrington, understanding the situation, took his leave. After speaking, he patted Ah Sui’s shoulder, then glanced at the unusually quiet Blairand standing nearby. He couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. This zerg offspring had never been close to him, and even as he grew older, he always wore a heavy, pensive expression. He couldn’t help wondering what had happened during the six months they hadn’t seen each other. “Blairand, I have matters to attend to, so I’ll be leaving. If you have time in the next couple of days, remember to come find me.”
Blairand nodded, knowing that the other was asking about Ah Sui. “Yes, female father.”
Ah Sui smiled, looking so pleasant that it lifted one’s spirits. “Uncle, take care.”
What a charming little male zerg.
Chief Harrington smiled, then turned and got into the sports car parked by the side of the road. After closing the car door, he instructed the driver, “Let’s go, to the palace.”
As he spoke, he lowered his head and opened his palm. Lying quietly there was a light brown hair, which he had secretly taken from Ah Sui when he wasn’t paying attention.
Chief Harrington didn’t understand why Ah Sui had disguised himself and changed his appearance. He scratched at the hair dye with his nails and wiped it repeatedly with a handkerchief. Gradually, the light brown hair revealed its original color, gleaming with an obsidian-like sheen in the air.
“Hmm?”
Chief Harrington furrowed his brows in surprise. He never would have expected Ah Sui to have black hair.
…
“My female father used to be in charge of the intelligence agency. Once he returns, he will definitely do everything he can to investigate your identity. We won’t be able to keep this secret for long before we’re found out.”
After Chief Harrington left, Blairand seemed somewhat distracted. He remembered how Ah Sui had foolishly followed beside his female father and chatted earlier, and couldn’t help but sigh. “You shouldn’t have talked to him for so long. The more you say, the more he’ll figure out… He even took a strand of your hair earlier.”
Ah Sui was immediately startled upon hearing this and subconsciously touched his hair. “Huh? Why didn’t you stop him?”
Blairand replied, “It’s impossible to hide it from him. He’ll find out sooner or later. I’ll go see him in a couple of days. Don’t worry, everything will be fine.”
After speaking, Blairand raised his hand to straighten Ah Sui’s collar, which had been tousled by the wind. He then glanced at the time and realized that they were already more than three hours late for the blood test appointment at the hospital. “Let’s go, I’ll take you to the hospital for a blood test and see if there’s still time.”
They had lunch in the afternoon and spent quite a bit of time at the mall, so by the time they arrived at the hospital, it was almost time to close. Blairand used a special channel to get Ah Sui an expedited appointment, and they had to wait in line for quite a while before it was their turn.
After the nurse finished drawing blood and gave a simple treatment to the injection site, he spoke in a sweet, delicate voice: “Your Excellency, it’s already late today, so your blood test results won’t be ready until tomorrow. Please remember to come back and pick them up~”
Ah Sui pretended not to notice the nurse’s flirtatious glance, thanked him, and left the room with Blairand. He was too focused on looking at the wound left by the blood draw on his hand, and just as they reached the corner, a dark figure suddenly rushed toward them, almost colliding head-on.
Ah Sui had practiced martial arts, so when he saw the figure coming, he quickly dodged with agility. The zerg on the other side, however, wasn’t so lucky. With a loud thud, it fell to the ground in a rather embarrassing position.
“Ow! My chin!”
The zerg that fell to the ground was a red-haired male, clearly someone who wasn’t about to let things slide. He gritted his teeth and got up from the floor, glaring at Ah Sui, who was standing steadily nearby. His anger flared up immediately. “Why did you dodge?! You made me fall flat on my face!”
Ah Sui thought to himself, Would you rather I stood still and let you crash into me? “You had it coming.”
Ah Sui usually didn’t curse, but when he spoke, he had a way of making people want to explode.
The red-haired male let out a scoff, ready to roll up his sleeves and argue further. However, just then, Blairand stepped forward and blocked Ah Sui, subtly furrowing his brows. “Your Excellency, if you’re injured, you can go to the nearby clinic for an examination. I’ll cover the costs. This is a public place, and I don’t think it’s appropriate to argue here.”
The rules of Salaranfa were biased toward males. If the other zerg really got into an argument with Ah Sui, it would likely attract the military patrols. Blairand didn’t want to stir up trouble, so he decided to spend a little money to avoid complications.
The red-haired male, however, sneered and said, “Who cares about your money!”
The red-haired male was clearly irritated. He wasn’t going to waste time with two of them by himself. With a gruff mutter of “Move aside, move aside,” he turned and walked downstairs.
Blairand still felt like the male zerg looked familiar, but he couldn’t place where he had seen him before. Just as he furrowed his brows, lost in thought, a handsome face suddenly appeared in front of him. Ah Sui, pointing at his eyes with a pitiful expression, said, “My eyes hurt so much.”
One of his eyes had already turned black, and it seemed like the contact lens had fallen off somewhere.
Blairand snapped back to reality, cupping Ah Sui’s face and taking a look. “It’s probably the lens. Don’t move, I’ll help you change it.”
Ah Sui’s eyes were a bit sensitive, and it was hard to adjust to wearing contact lenses for the first time. Blairand carried a spare pair with him. Seeing that the hallway was relatively empty, he used tweezers to help Ah Sui replace them. “Does it feel better now?”
Ah Sui blinked hard a couple of times. “It’s better now.”
Blairand noticed Ah Sui’s beautiful eyes and leaned in to kiss him. Only then did he take Ah Sui’s hand and head downstairs. However, when they reached the stairs, they found the troublesome red-haired male zerg from earlier standing there, staring at them. As soon as Blairand noticed, the red-haired zerg hurriedly looked away and ran off in a panic.
Blairand’s expression changed slightly, unsure whether the other had seen Ah Sui’s real eye color. He quickly grabbed Ah Sui’s hand and urged him to follow quickly. In Salaranfa, it was rare to see a male zerg with black hair and eyes, and with the military recently posting wanted notices, if that male zerg had noticed something and reported it, Ah Sui’s identity would be exposed in no time.
Blairand worked in intelligence analysis, and with Ah Sui’s light agility skills, by the time they reached the ground floor, they spotted the red-haired male zerg. However, the other zerg simply boarded a nearby aircraft and left, without lingering outside.
Blairand’s own aircraft was also parked nearby. He silently noted down the vehicle’s registration number and said to Ah Sui, “Let’s go, we’ll follow him and see where he’s heading.”
Blairand didn’t like leaving any potential risks unaddressed. Whether the other zerg had seen something he shouldn’t have or not, he wanted to clarify the identity first. To his surprise, as he and Ah Sui followed behind, they saw that the red-haired male zerg had parked his flying vehicle right in front of their building, then…
He walked straight into the building across the street.
Blairand lightly tapped the control panel with his fingertips, then suddenly remembered something: “He should be Lord Johnny, the younger brother of the Eighth Prince’s male lord.”
This situation inevitably made him feel a bit troubled. If it were an ordinary male zerg, Blairand had plenty of ways to make them keep quiet, but Johnny, being of royal blood, was a different matter. Threats and temptations might not even work on him.
Blairand waited quietly at the door for a moment longer. When night had fallen and he still hadn’t seen Johnny come out, he thought that the other might be staying the night. He then turned to Ah Sui and said, “Let’s go, we’ll head home first.”
Ah Sui, already feeling uncomfortable from sitting too long, immediately got off the flying vehicle and started walking toward their home. Blairand followed at a slow pace, watching Ah Sui’s figure, seemingly lost in thought. After a moment, he finally caught up.
The moon was bright, and the stars were few, with a cool breeze gently blowing.
Blairand suddenly recalled something Ah Sui had said earlier that day, and in the stillness of the night, he quietly asked, “Ah Sui, will you really marry only me in the future?”
Ah Sui paused mid-step.

Surprised that the Zerg was Johnny. Does this mean A Sui and his Grandpa San will be neighbors from now on?
