Wu Chun couldn’t find Xu Shi Yao.
Ever since they became a pair of soulmates in this world, they had been living freely, going wherever their hearts desired. During one aimless stroll, they stumbled upon this high school.
Xu Shi Yao was taken aback at that moment, staring blankly at the magnificent school gate.
“What’s wrong?” Wu Chun asked him.
“Feels familiar.”
Wu Chun glanced at the brand new school gate, noticing a few elderly men sitting under the phoenix tree, fanning themselves and chatting.
“This school is quite impressive; they must have spent a lot of money on it.”
“Isn’t that right? The cutoff score for the high school entrance exam is really high this year. Which school did this one merge with again?”
Hearing this, Wu Chun pulled Xu Shi Yao closer to the entrance, and at the school’s information board, he saw a familiar name.
“Xu Shi Yao.” Wu Chun immediately pointed it out to Xu Shi Yao. “Look, isn’t this your previous high school?”
Xu Shi Yao remained silent.
But Wu Chun could see the gentle light in his eyes as they fell upon that name, which had already become part of history.
“Let’s go inside and take a look.”
Being soulmates had its perks; while the security guard was strictly checking for unauthorized personnel, Wu Chun confidently pulled Xu Shi Yao in, even making a face at the guard.

Wu Chun stood in the middle of the path. It was just the right time for classes to end; he could see heads bobbing one after another. He retraced his steps along the path they had come and finally found Xu Shi Yao crowd-surfing in the middle of a throng.
Wu Chun squeezed in effortlessly. Just as he was about to ask what Xu Shi Yao was doing standing there, he spotted a poster on the board showing a picture of Xu Shi Yao in high school uniform.

Xu Shi Yao reached out to take Wu Chun’s hand. “Let’s go.”
They squeezed out of the crowd while discussions continued behind them.
“Do you think this senior is so handsome? Did he have a girlfriend back then?”
“I heard he didn’t. He was the type who devoted himself to studies. If he had a girlfriend, she must have been heartbroken.”
Suddenly, Wu Chun stood on tiptoes and lightly kissed Xu Shi Yao’s cheek.
“What’s up?” Xu Shi Yao laughed and asked.
“I’m just telling them that even though their senior didn’t have a girlfriend, he has the best boyfriend in the world.”
“They can’t see us anyway.”

Before he finished, his words were swallowed by Xu Shi Yao’s sudden kiss. At that moment, as the class bell rang and the surrounding noise faded into silence, their tangled lips parted, and Xu Shi Yao held Wu Chun in his arms.

“Nothing.” Xu Shi Yao whispered in his ear, “I just want to hold you.”
