GCLA VOL. 2 CHAP 1

Volume 2

Chapter 1: It’s Disastrous Everywhere Without a Background

If curses could come true, I would definitely curse Fu Su to become the ultimate bottom! The ultimate uke! Every man in the immortal realm should have a turn with him before I can calm down.

This goddamn scum is so damn annoying!

But why?

My mind is filled with countless question marks. Why is Fu Su insisting on targeting me?! I don’t think I’m some Mary Sue protagonist who has caught his special attention. This is just becoming more and more frustrating.

No, I can’t sleep without getting answers. I have to go and ask my strategy encyclopedia: Senior Jiang Yan. Maybe he can analyze it for me.

After taking a Tylenol pill, I went downstairs again. When I reached the ground floor, I saw everyone gathered around, looking at Senior Jiang Yan’s phone. Immediately, I had a bad feeling, and I was almost ninety-nine percent sure that it was that photo.

Just then, Mao Mao and Mo Ming also came back, with Mo Ming carrying a beautiful food box in his hands. Mao Mao saw everyone huddled together and curiously asked, “What are you all looking at?”

Si Yino and Qing Ming immediately moved away and went about their own business. Si Yino touched his little white snake, and Qing Ming went to flip through the coffee table. Obviously, something was up! Every time they have a guilty conscience, they act the same way!

Senior Jiang Yan hurriedly placed his phone behind him, and Mo Ming’s emerald green eyes showed confusion. Mao Mao naturally knew they were hiding something, so she squinted her eyes and took steps towards them, saying, “What the hell are you guys up to?”

But Senior Jiang Yan looked at Mo Ming, and I walked out from the staircase. Mao Mao saw me, and I quickly stepped behind Senior Jiang Yan, snatching his phone. Immediately, Mao Mao and Mo Ming crowded around.

On the phone was Fu Su’s campus Weibo account, and sure enough, there was a photo of him pretending to kiss me!

“First time dating a human girl, feels great~~~”

“Feels great my ass!” I hated him so much that my teeth were grinding. I grabbed the phone and threw it! This jerk is completely schizophrenic on Weibo, being cute everywhere!

“No!” Senior Jiang Yan immediately grabbed my hand and shouted, “My phone is innocent!”

“Xiao Lanjie!” Mao Mao panicked, “I thought you hated Fu Su! He just left! How could you! You’re cheating on my brother with Fu Su!”

Mo Ming’s expression instantly darkened. He clenched the food box tightly, and his whole body was enveloped in a cold and murderous aura. His ears were raised high, and the gem earrings on his earlobe shone with an eerie light.

“I didn’t! I didn’t! I didn’t!” I was so angry that I stomped my foot, and for important matters, you have to say it three times. “It was staged! Staged! Staged! Just like this!” I glanced at everyone in the living room and noticed that Xiao Nuo’s height was just right. I pulled Xiao Nuo over and held his face, leaning down.

Xiao Nuo’s eyes instantly widened to their fullest.

My lips stopped at the corner of Xiao Nuo’s mouth, and I pointed at him for everyone to see. “See? See? See? Just like this! Fu Su framed me! Xiao Nuo was at the door at that time!” I let go of Xiao Nuo, so angry that I wanted to kill someone. “Why does he have to slander me like this?! Why does he have to target me?!”

Everyone looked at Senior Jiang Yan in unison. “Why?” Indeed, Senior Jiang Yan is recognized as the Baidu Encyclopedia.

“Why?” Qing Ming also looked at Senior Jiang Yan.

Mo Ming clenched the food box tightly, his slightly lowered face now completely pale. His chest was heaving, and the murderous intent was overwhelming, as if he was about to shatter the food box!

Senior Jiang Yan furrowed his brows and once again assumed the appearance of a knowledgeable scholar, as if he were a well-known figure in the Six Realms: “It is very likely because Xiao Lan is the only one without a background.”

Everyone froze, Si Yino, Qing Ming, and Mao Mao all turned to look at me, nodding in agreement: “Oh~~~”

I looked at him angrily, “What do you mean?”

Senior Jiang Yan hadn’t answered yet, but sighed helplessly: “Fu Su has a bad personality, everyone knows that. He used to bully freshmen before, but because this is the Academy of Gods and Demons, the number of immortals is not like the billions in your mortal realm. We don’t have many people in total, and we all know each other. The elders in our families are also acquainted, we were relatives even thousands of years ago. So when Fu Su bullied others, those families naturally complained to the Fuxi family. The Fuxi family is a large family, they care about face. Among the immortals, they emphasize harmonious coexistence, even more so than your mortal world presidents. So, Fu Su was quickly warned by the family. Before you arrived, Fu Su hadn’t bullied anyone for a long time. Judging from the lack of updates on Weibo, he had been quiet for a while, until you appeared and he became active again.”

“So… just because I’m a mortal!” I was furious, “I deserve to be used as a substitute for everyone’s entertainment?!”

Everyone fell silent.

Mo Ming suddenly put down the food box and turned to leave. Mao Mao immediately grabbed him, “Brother! You can’t go find Fu Su!”

When Mo Ming turned to look at him, his emerald green eyes were already flashing with a chilling light! It was really emitting a green light, which startled Mao Mao.

“Calm down!” Qing Ming also stepped forward and restrained Mo Ming. Mo Ming’s eyes narrowed, and he shouted, “Let go of me!” He struggled, and if it wasn’t for Qing Ming holding him back, he might have already rushed out.

“Calm down, Mo Ming!” Senior Senior Jiang Yan also stepped forward and held Mo Ming’s shoulder. “If you go find Fu Su, the topic will still revolve around Xiao Lan. The campus headlines will become about you and Fu Su competing for Xiao Lan’s favor, causing a scene on campus! Who will be the unlucky one then?”

The green light in Mo Ming’s eyes gradually faded.

Mao Mao also nodded repeatedly, “Yeah, yeah, yeah!”

“Poor Xiao Lan…” Si Yino hid behind Xiao Bai, looking at me sympathetically.

I massaged my temples with a headache, and Mao Mao apologized as she approached me, “Xiao Lan, I’m sorry. The Fuxi family is a true divine family, so we… can’t really intervene in your matter with Fu Su…”

“I understand… I get it…”

“But as long as you’re in this house, we won’t let him come in!” Mao Mao hurriedly added, filled with deep remorse for not being able to help me.

I touched my face, “I’ll figure something out.” I picked up the food box from the coffee table and took a few steps, stopping, furrowing my brows, and then turned around. With my head down, I walked briskly towards Mo Ming, grabbing his wrist and pulling him behind me, leaving him stunned.

I pulled him all the way back to my room, closed the door, and then made him sit on the edge of my bed. I sat on the floor and started to channel my frustration into my appetite.

Mo Ming sat cross-legged in front of me, silently watching me. As I ate, tears fell. The guy I had a crush on turned out to be a scumbag, and the guy who bullied me was a scumbag god. Am I destined to collect scumbags in this lifetime?

Xia Xiaolan, you’re really clueless, you’re really blind.

“Shh.” Mo Ming silently handed me a tissue. The aura of killing intent emanating from him grew stronger and stronger. His face remained lowered, his ears, once soft and droopy, now stood upright with tension.

I took the tissue and wiped away my tears and runny nose, glaring at him fiercely. “Don’t let Fu Su come in!”

“I know,” he said in a low voice, his face still lowered. “I absolutely won’t let him get near you again!” His words were filled with a fierceness as if he would bite Fu Su to death if he saw him.

I handed him my phone. “I’m going to sleep. If anyone calls for me, you answer.”

He paused, lifting his slightly bluish face due to holding his breath. His emerald green eyes flickered, and he solemnly took the phone from my hand.

“Can I really answer?” he asked, looking at me seriously.

I nodded, thinking for a moment before adding, “But only say that I’m sick and resting, and I’ll get back to him later.” I had to give him some instructions, just in case he said something strange.

“Alright. I understand.” He tightened his grip on my phone, looking as if he were guarding some important nuclear weapon.

I took a deep breath, lay down, covered myself with the blanket, and with Mo Ming watching over me, I was confident that that scumbag wouldn’t dare to come in!

However, something felt off. I turned my head and glanced at Mo Ming. He was staring at me intently with those emerald green eyes. Although he was staring to protect me, it was still difficult for me to fall asleep under that gaze.

I turned to face him. “Mo Ming, let’s discuss something. Can you… change your appearance? Right now… I have a bit of a… liking for guys…” I bit my lip, and he froze. I awkwardly looked at him. “I know, it’s my mistake for liking scumbags, but right now I really have a bit of… especially for handsome guys like you…”

His face immediately turned red, and the tense combat-ready expression slowly faded as he lowered his face. Even his ears, which had remained upright, began to droop into his silver-gray hair. Then he spoke, “I know I’m handsome, but I’m glad to hear you admit it.” There was a hint of joy in his tone.

“…” I was speechless for a moment. So, everyone here is so conceited?

“We’re good-looking, and it makes our master proud,” he continued, speaking with a serious tone. “You will be envied by countless people for having me.”

I blinked, uh… I think I’ll just go to sleep honestly. If I say too much, I don’t know what strange things he might say or do.
