Shi Yi half leaned against the bathroom wall, softly brushing his teeth.

Apart from the initial stuffy feeling, there wasn’t any other discomfort. Outside the room, Lu Yunye was talking on the phone, and his big slippers made a dull slap as he paced around.

After washing and drying his face, Shi Yi’s eyes were drawn to a small shiny object by the sink.

Lu Yunye hung up the phone and walked into the bathroom, only to see an outstretched hand. “What did you do last night?”

In the palm lay a small ear bone stud.

Lu Yunye was really wronged this time.

In view of the fact that this ear stud had brought him a lot of benefits, Lu Yunye casually put it aside. Shi Yi didn’t notice it the last few days, why did he suddenly see it today?

“I didn’t do anything,” Lu Yunye raised two fingers. “I swear.”

Shi Yi stared at him in disbelief, and pulled open the neckline of his pajamas to check. After reassuring that nothing happened, he muttered softly, “I’ll trust you just this once.”

“Don’t keep looking,” Lu Yunye helped him cover his collar. “I might really be tempted to do something if you continue.”

“I’ll keep this.” Shi Yi held the ear stud in his palm, and slipped out from the alpha’s embrace.

During breakfast, instead of reading the newspaper Lu Yunye turned on the TV. It was a real-time live broadcast of the police being parked at the entrance of Yunye Media headquarters.

“What’s going on?” Shi Yi’s eyes widened, and the fried egg almost fell out of his mouth.

“I received a report last night that the current acting president of the Lu Group, Lu Jingyan, is suspected of money laundering, smuggling and other illegal activities. He will be suspended, pending investigation.”

“All projects involved in the case are also suspended, and await follow up from the task force.”

“You did this?” He looked at Lu Yunye in surprise.

Lu Yunye was slowly spreading peanut butter on the bread. After spreading it evenly, he handed it to Shi Yi. “Lu Jingyan did it on his own, I just gave him a slight push.”

With Lu Jingyan and his assistant suspended, the directors have no leader, and operations and sales are collectively paralyzed. Within an hour, the stock price will definitely plummet.

Lu Yan said over the phone: “Brother, all directors who are dissatisfied have sold their stocks and left. The rest are waiting for you to come back.”

“Are the police still there?” Lu Yunye asked.

“They’ve finished seizing evidence and left,” Lu Yan continued, “Lu Jingyan has been missing since last night, and no one knows where he’s hiding.”

“And his little lover named Meng Wen, when he saw the police, he cried and began to complain, saying that Lu Jingyan sexually abused him, and also used pheromones to pressure him. His mental state doesn’t seem healthy and has been taken to the hospital.”

“En,” Lu Yunye murmured, “Keep an eye on him, don’t let anyone run away.”

“Yessir.”

Lu Yunye hung up the phone and finished his breakfast in a leisurely manner, without any intention of going to the company.

When he turned on the computer, some keen consulting companies had already picked up the scent, and the valuation of Fleeing Rabbit skyrocketed.

Recently, Fleeing Rabbit has switched from online food delivery to an offline pop-up store, with two lines in parallel.

After renting a storefront in a large shopping mall for a few hours, products can be delivered to all parts of the country through extremely fast supply chain logistics. Prices are reasonable and even students can afford it. In just one day, someone else’s worth of income for several weeks or a month is generated.

Shi Yi sat down beside him, not sure what was going on his Lu Yunye’s head. He has changed a lot during his time at home, and become more gentle. This made him a little worried. When Lu Yunye returns to the company, will he change back to the domineering President from before?

Seeing his nervous expression, Lu Yunye realized that he might be a little worried. He stretched out his hand to wrap around Shi Yi’s waist, and pulled him into his arms. “Don’t worry, it’s fine. I’m just waiting…”

Before he finished speaking, the phone rang abruptly. Lu Yunye glanced at the screen, it was an unknown number.

A smile curled up on the corner of his lips, and he shook the phone, “Here it comes.”

He swiped to answer, “Hello?”

A distraught voice came from the opposite side: “Lu Yunye, you’re bullying me!”

“Are you a shareholder of Fleeing Rabbit? Despicable! Shameless! Buying shares privately!”

“I’m not as despicable as you, cousin.” Lu Yunye said word by word. “But, you’re out.”

“The third basement of No. 348 Ding Guifang, I’ll wait for you here.” Lu Jingyan hung up the phone after finishing speaking.

Shi Yi looked up the address and found an underground boxing gym.

Lu Yunye beside him had already stood up, but Shi Yi reflexively pulled him back: “You can’t go.”

How can he go to that kind of place? It’s too dangerous. If Lu Jingyan secretly interferes, won’t he be in danger?

“It’s okay.” Lu Yunye patted his head. “He is my cousin. We have been fighting tit for tat for decades. It’s time for us to have a good discussion.”

“The company has already been taken back. Isn’t it enough to be the CEO?” Shi Yi was so anxious that he was about to cry. “You…”

“Baby,” Lu Yunye grabbed his shoulders and squeezed hard to calm Shi Yi down. “This isn’t just an ordinary competition, this is a competition to be the wolf king.”

This is not an ordinary competition where afterwards, they can shake hands, make peace, and call each other brothers. This a battle to determine the winner and the loser; the loser will be expelled forever, and there is no room for redemption.

“What’s more…the police can’t find him now,” Lu Yunye hugged his omega. “I want to bring him back with my own hands.”

Shi Yi lowered his head and said nothing. He finally gritted his teeth and said, “Then I’ll go with you!”

“No way!” Lu Yunye refused immediately, “You are an omega, you shouldn’t go to that kind of place!”

“You’re going to push me away again!” Shi Yi gritted his teeth. Hands balled into fists, his blood vessels could be vaguely seen on the back of his plain hands. “It was like this last time, and it’s the same this time! You keep everything from me!”

“If I go, one more person will help you observe and distract Lu Jingyan’s attention. Why can’t I go?” Shi Yi continued, “Or, do you not have the confidence to protect me at all?”

Lu Yunye looked at omega tearing up in anger, ready to confront him. His expression suddenly relaxed, and he even laughed out loud. “Baby, are you begging me as a boyfriend?”

“I didn’t say that.” Shi Yi turned his head awkwardly.

“Then I have no reason to ask you to accompany me.” Lu Yunye gently wiped away his tears, and kissed his forehead. “Obediently wait at home for me to come back.”

After finishing speaking, he turned around and strode towards the door without a second word.

“I am!” Shi Yi shouted with his eyes tightly closed, his voice full of tears.

Lu Yunye’s back suddenly stopped, and his voice trembled when he spoke again: “You said this yourself, you can’t go back on your word.”

“Whoever regrets is a dog,” Shi Yi angrily pushed him away, and walked out of the room first.

Lu Yunye touched the place where he was hit, and his smile couldn’t stop widening.

The place where Lu Jingyan made an appointment is very hidden. The above-ground part is an ordinary bar, but various gray[mfn]as in illegal or borderline illegal[/mfn] businesses happen underneath. The boxing arena on the third basement floor is open from 10p.m. until just before 6 a.m. Based on the layout alone, it resembles an abandoned circus.

Professional boxers seldom come here to fight, because there is no guarantee of safety, and many spectators here want to see extreme things. There are dark red marks sprinkled across the iron cage, and the air in the arena is disgusting.

The boxing ring is very empty during non-business hours. Occasionally, one might see addicts who had taken drugs last night and are still awake. Shi Yi tightened his coat around him, feeling the non-stop cold air creeping into his neckline.

The warm hand holding his own, and the faint cedar smell isolated those unpleasant smells.

Lu Jingyan was standing in one of the iron cages.

The long-term lack of sleep made him look a little scary. There were two large shadows under his eyes, his eyes were red, his breathing was abnormally fast, and there was a crazy light in his eyes.

Even as an outsider, Shi Yi could tell that he took drugs.

“Cousin, you’re here.” Lu Jingyan grinned, and threw over a pair of dirty gloves.

Suddenly, when he saw the omega behind Lu Yunye, his smile widened even more: “You really like him.”

“Tell me, why did you ask to meet?” Lu Yunye was obviously not in the mood to dilly-dally.

“Come and fight,” Lu Jingyan pointed at the gloves on the ground. “Put down everything and come and fight with me.”

“Fighting you like this doesn’t benefit me.” Lu Yunye put his hands in his pockets, raised his chin slightly, and still had that superior expression.

Even Shi Yi beside him was taken aback suddenly. Lu Yunye’s good temper in front of him almost made him forget what kind of person he was.

“You don’t dare,” Lu Jingyan clenched his fists. “Except for the honor given to you by your parents and your S-level differentiation, you’re nothing. You don’t even dare to fight me.”

“No need to taunt me. It’s just an elder brother teaching his younger brother a lesson, what’s hard about that? Only…” Lu Yunye looked at the filthy, ragged boxing glove on the ground that had been worn by who knows who. “I can’t use that.”

He faced Shi Yi and smiled lightly: “Baby, can I borrow something from you?”

“What?” Shi Yi took a breath, and Lu Yunye raised his hand to untie his tie.

He originally planned to go to the company today and specially chose a silk jacquard tie. Now he was held in Lu Yunye’s palm and wrapped around his right hand.

Lu Yunye tied a knot around his wrist with his teeth, and then took off the coat and handed it to Shi Yi: “Help me watch it.”

It was the coat Shi Yi designed, carrying Lu Yunye’s warmth.

“I will feel bad if the clothes are damaged.”

After speaking, Lu Yunye jumped into the iron cage with a light leap. He rolled up his sleeves as he walked, unbuttoned his collar, and pulled out the hem of his clothes from his belt. When he stood in front of Lu Jingyan, he was already in a very relaxed state.

He lowered his head and kissed the tie on the back of his hand: “Come on.”
