SABL Chapter 99

“You can’t go back on your word.”

When his trap finally worked, Lu Yunye’s hidden fierceness was revealed. He picked up the omega – who yelped in shock – and put him on the hood of the car.

The hood of the off-road vehicle was a bit high, and Shi Yi reflexively wanted to jump down, but Lu Yunye stood between his legs, blocking the way. At the same time, he raised his chin and kissed him fiercely.

Shi Yi hadn’t recovered from the aftermath of the marriage proposal. his slender fingers clasped tightly on the car hood, his knuckles turned white.

The early morning temperature isn’t too warm, gusting over exposed skin, elevating one’s senses to the next level. Jaw clenched, he looked up dizzily at the blue skies, saw seagulls circling past, and covered his eyes with his hands in shame.

…………………………………………………….

Shi Yi knew it was wrong, and hurriedly reminded, “Not here.”

The more he spoke, the more chaotic things became. Lu Yunye put his hands on either side, and seeing how pitiful his thin waist was, he finally held back. Exhaling heavily, he carried Shi Yi back to the passenger seat.

When the sun gradually rose , Lu Yunye pulled up his trouser waist, took off his coat and wrapped Shi Yi up. It’s just that sitting felt a little awkward, so he complained in a low voice: “It feels sore…”

This time Lu Yunye seemed to have been starved for a few days, and he couldn’t relax his body out in the open. At first, his whole body felt like it was going to collapse. Shi Yi half leaned on the backrest, and fell asleep with his eyes closed.

It was already lunch time when they got back to the B&B. Those who had a good time last night finally woke up, lying half dead on the sofa in the front hall, basking in the sun.

“Lao Lu and Mr. Xiao still haven’t woken up yet?” Dai Xing called again, but no one answered. “That’s not possible. With his living habits, he has to go out and exercise by 8 o’clock in the morning.”

“Sex and happy[mfn]these 3 words in the raws were in English; so I left it as is[/mfn],” Lu Yan sipped lemonade to alleviate his hangover. “You don’t understand the happiness of having a partner.”

“Do you need a partner[mfn]as in, partner in a relationship. Not a one-night stand[/mfn] to be happy?” Dr. Song argued back. “Sure enough, you’re still a brat.”

Lu Yan stood up from his chair, walked up to Song Wei in a few steps, and made a gesture of raising one leg up, as if to step up. “Does Dr. Song want to be happy?”

“Hey,” Song Wei dodged slightly, and hugged him aside kindly. “Don’t block the sun, little ancestor.”

“Besides, our positions[mfn]they’re both tops/seme[/mfn] don’t match.”

“What position?” Lu Yunye came in from the door, holding a person in his arms. His coat was covering the person’s face, so no one could see clearly.

“Damn!” The three of them turned their heads collectively like three sunflowers staring at the person in his arms – only two slender legs could be seen dangling outside.

“You, you betrayed Shi Yi?” Dai Xing was the first to react. “Although we’ve been good brothers for many years, I won’t help you hide it!”

“It’s too much, you even brought people here!”

“What are you talking about?” Lu Yunye frowned. “Shi Yi is a little sleepy, he just fell asleep.”

The three of them looked at each other; none of them were innocent adults. Then they collectively looked over with intrigue, “You’re quite wild…”

“What did I say!” Dai Xing clapped his hands. “It’s not a waste of money to find assistance.”

Lu Yunye’s face darkened at the reminder. “I’ll settle the score with you later.”

“Hey, no, I…” Dai Xing froze on the spot, but the other party had already gone upstairs.

The two of them were completely absent from that day’s activities, because Shi Yi slept until the afternoon. When he woke up, he was hungry. His back was too sore to move, and his chest was painfully worn.

Someone had already changed him into casual lounge clothes. On the bedside table lay the round pearl. Shi Yi stretched out his hand to reach for it, but when he moved, he felt a soreness along his spine and he collapsed back into the bed, even dropping his phone.

Lu Yunye just returned. His head was wet, and he was wearing a bathrobe with only one button buttoned around his waist, revealing his honey-colored muscles, very much those scumbags in novels.

“Don’t move,” Lu Yunye helped position him back on the pillows, feeling guilty about the things he did earlier “I’ll get you whatever you want.”

Shi Yi originally wanted to touch the pearl, but he lost all desire after seeing a certain someone return. Instead, his anger flared up. HIs waist felt even more sore and his back hurt, so he just closed his eyes and ignored him.

“Drink some water.” Lu Yunye didn’t mind at all. He helped him up and drank some water. Then he set a tray on the bed full of small side dishes, such as seafood rice porridge, crab roe buns, sweet shrimp, and abalone soup. Everyone looked fresh and tasty, well-suited to Shi Yi’s taste.

Still angry, Shi Yi planned to shake his face and refuse, but he was so hungry that he ate heartily before putting down his chopsticks and closing his eyes to rest.

Lu Yunye has always been shameless in front of his wife, so after putting away the tray, he squeezed into the bed, pawing at his chest.

“What are you doing?” Shi Yi glared at him, his voice was no longer clear and smooth.

Probably because he endured too much in the morning and hurt his throat.

“You need to apply medicine,” Lu Yunye got an ointment from somewhere, dipped it in with his index finger, and lightly touched a wound.

Shi Yi turned his head in embarrassment, but the ointment was really effective. He only felt a coolness, and even the itchiness faded a lot.

“There’s still the back,” Lu Yunye made a gesture at his waistband.

“I’ll do it myself!” Shi Yi’s face flushed.

“I’ve already seen and tasted it, why are you shy again?” Lu Yunye sighed helplessly. His wife is too thin-skinned, so he can only coax him some more.

“Why haven’t you left yet?” Shi Yi kicked him under the quilt.

“Go where?” Lu Yunye was at a loss.

Shi Yi gritted his teeth: “I want to use the medicine.”

“Why are you afraid of me watching?” Lu Yunye pretended to be serious and said, “I’ll worry if I don’t see you apply it.”

Shi Yi threw the medicine at the shameless hooligan wordlessly.

Seeing that someone was about to get angry again, Lu Yunye hurriedly got up. “Okay, I’ll go.”

Shi Yi’s  worried voice came from behind: “Don’t let Lu Yan and the others know.”

“Of course, they don’t know anything.” Lu Yunye promised speciously, then took out his phone and threatened his friends one by one.

According to the plan, they would go out to sea today, and then come back to soak in the hot spring at night. But Shi Yi has no strength, and his body is still injured, so his participation is out of the question; instead, Lu Yunye just ran to the terrace to enjoy the breeze.

The beach became noisy again at night, as if day and night were complete opposites, and the voices of people were neither far nor near. Shi Yi lay on the rocking chair and yawned, when he suddenly received a call from Qiu Qiu.

Shi Yi hasn’t been in the office recently, and with the end of year holidays, there hasn’t been much work either. His secretary, Qiu Qiu, will notify him if there’s anything, and won’t contact him during this time unless there’s special news.

Shi Yi connected, “Hello, Qiu Qiu?”

“Mr. Shi, Feiyi’s public listing has been approved!” On the other end of the phone, Qiu Qiu almost cried with joy.

“What!” Shi Yi forgot about the discomfort in his body, and stood up abruptly. “When?”

“Just this afternoon, I just received the news,” Qiu Qiu said excitedly. “I’m planning to send emails to the relevant directors after letting you know.”

“What’s the matter?” When Lu Yunye entered the door, he saw Shi Yi standing there holding his mobile phone, not caring that his clothes were buffeted by the wind.

“Lu Yunye, Feiyi is about to go public.” Shi Yi threw himself into Lu Yunye’s arms, his eyes a little red. Although he hoped for this day when he submitted the application, he did not expect it to go so smoothly.

“Soon, you’ll be worth several billion, and at such a young age.” Lu Yunye chuckled. “It’s a good thing I proposed early, otherwise a pearl might not be possible.”

“I want to tell Dad.” Shi Yi wiped his eyes and dialed Shu Wen’s number.

After all, Feiyi was founded by Shu Wen. At first, it was just an insignificant studio. The designers and models were all students. Their clothes were first sold to university students, and it grew bigger and bigger little by little.

Afterwards, his father’s condition gradually deteriorated, and Feiyi’s projects were constantly being blocked by Shi Jinpeng. The listing plan was put on hold again and again, and only recently restarted after the Shi family was cleaned up.

Shu Wen was touring volcanoes with Shen Qing’an in Bali when the call came in. The two immediately lost their interest in sightseeing and booked tickets to go back after receiving the news.

As soon as Shi Yi returned home, he was so busy that his feet didn’t even touch the ground. From preparing to sign the listing agreement and preparing the announcement, to responding to wave after wave of congratulations… Several people asked to see Shu Wen, but his father hasn’t looked after the company’s affairs for many years and has not shown up in recent years.

After all, Feiyi’s initial investment depended on the Shi family. At first, he couldn’t do without Shi Jinpeng’s support when he opened a studio because of his hobby. But it was also this person who brought him misfortune for half his life, and completely ruined his path of becoming a designer.

Shu Wen couldn’t tell how he felt about Feiyi. It was a mix of good and bad, stagnating in his heart, unable to dissipate for a long time.

Lu Yunye and Shi Yi drove to Shen Qing’an’s residence. It was the first time that the courtyard was so lively. The Chinese New Year decorations had not been removed yet, and the family was reunited.

“Here, I bought it for you.” Shu Wen took out a small ornament from his bag. It was a pair of kissing fish carved out of coral and colored with pure plant dyes. They were round and very cute.

“It was heavy,” Dr. Shen complained with a smile. “He chose it, but didn’t want to carry it for fear of damaging it.”

“Then I’ll carry it myself next time.” Shu Wen said.

“Oh, that’s not what I meant. Didn’t you carry back all the big and small bags you bought?” Dr. Shen gave someone a chopstick of cold salad. “Here, have some.”

“Thank you Dad, we like it very much.” Shi Yi took the ornament and said, “It fits right on the desk.”

In fact, similar ornaments can be found in boutiques, which have an even broader range of styles, but Shu Wen has rarely gone out for many years, and is almost out of touch with the outside world. Everything is novel for him, so he buys a bunch of them all the time.

But as long as he is willing to go out, and with Dr. Shen’s company, he will get used to his new life in a short time. Shi Yi comforted himself and felt grateful from the bottom of his heart.

Halfway through the meal, Shi Yi gently put down his chopsticks: “Dad, Feiyi’s ribbon-cutting ceremony…”

“I won’t go,” Shu Wen interrupted gently. “There are too many people. It’s chaotic and too noisy.”

“Don’t you want to go back and have a look?” Shi Yi asked eagerly, bringing up work with Shu Wen for the first time. “The company has changed a lot, some people have left, and many new employees have joined. We even won some foreign awards last year.”

But Shu Wen shook his head, and replied softly, “I’m very relieved that Feiyi is in your hands.”

“Uncle, the Shi family no longer holds any shares in Feiyi.” Lu Yunye said suddenly. “I have already transferred the purchased shares back to Xiao Yi, and Feiyi has nothing to do with the Shi family now.”

“No one can take it away.”

Shu Wen’s hand holding the chopsticks stopped suddenly. At the beginning, he designed Feiyi’s logo as a pigeon, hoping that one day the company would be able to stand out from the tight encirclement without being restrained by anyone. Shi Yi has done that, yet he’s still trapped in the past.

Seeing Shi Yi’s downcast expression, Shu Wen’s heart ached. He didn’t care about it all these years and let his child carry the burden alone. Xiao Yi must have suffered a lot of grievances and hardships.

So he stretched out his hand, and rubbed Shi Yi’s head as he often did a long time ago.

The latter raised his head and forced a smile: “Dad, you still treat me as a child. It’s okay, I can also…”

“I’ll go.” Shu Wen said with a light smile.

“You’ve worked hard these years.”

The Feiyi part of the plot is also wrapping up.
