TSA Chapter 67

Grade S Equipment

The third boss, which had been an immense struggle last time, was taken down in under 15 minutes this time, dropping two pieces of purple equipment.

[System Announcement] Player [Night Owl] struck swiftly, forcing the Skeleton Mage to drop [Skeleton Staff] and [Skeleton Robe] before fleeing in disgrace.

[Skeleton Staff]

Restriction Level: 30 or above

Limited Profession: Priest

Grade: A

Durability: 200/200

Attributes: Basic Attack +81, Intelligence +37, Constitution +24, Healing Effectiveness +61

[Skeleton Robe]

Restriction Level: 30 or above

Limited Profession: Priest

Grade: A

Durability: 200/200

Attributes: Basic Defense +80, Intelligence +33, Constitution +27, Agility +12

Both pieces of purple gear were for priests, but the staff was undoubtedly superior in terms of stats. Weapon drops were rare, and players often struggled to obtain a suitable purple weapon, making this staff an extremely valuable find.

Night Owl asked, “Anyone need these?”

Upon hearing this, Feng Tian and Alice both looked at Ran Qi. With two items and three priests, Ran Qi, the top healer in the team, naturally had the first pick.

Ran Qi shook his head and said, “I don’t need them. You guys choose.”

The second-highest healer was Feng Tian, so he had the priority to choose next.

After thinking for a moment, Feng Tian said, “I’ll take the robe. Give the staff to Alice.”

Feng Tian’s current staff was a blue-grade weapon from a Level 35 Challenge Dungeon. While it wasn’t as good as the purple staff, the difference wasn’t too significant. Plus, since he was already Level 41, he would need to replace his weapon soon anyway. On the other hand, Alice had just recently leveled up from a lower tier, and most of her gear was self-crafted. Since her skill proficiency wasn’t as high, her crafted equipment had slightly weaker attributes. With this staff, her healing output would improve significantly.

“Thank you!” Alice’s eyes lit up with excitement.

With the equipment distributed harmoniously, the team continued toward the next stage.

The fourth stage was the Abyss of Endless Monsters—a closed-off training ground where an endless stream of enemies would pour out from four doors, wave after wave, seemingly without end. Although their levels, attack power, and defense had significantly improved since their last attempt, the sheer number of enemies could still be overwhelming. Carelessness could easily lead to a wipe.

Last time, Night Owl had assigned Four Seasons to be the main tank, with Windstorm Jiangnan—a War God—using a shield to assist Gu Le as an off-tank. With September Sky joining the team this time, Windstorm Jiangnan could focus purely on dealing damage.

“We’ll use the same strategy as before. Four Seasons will be the main tank. Coke, you, and September Sky will work as off-tanks to pull mobs from the other three doors. Alice will heal you, and Cain will help clear the mobs. You already know what to watch out for—explain it to them.”

The main tank role in this stage was relatively easy, as they only had to hold the mobs coming from one door and continuously eliminate them. The off-tanks, however, had more responsibilities—they had to carefully manage the number of mobs, track which enemies were spawning from each door, and prevent the team from accidentally triggering additional waves too soon, which could disrupt the overall battle rhythm.

Night Owl was intentionally training Cain, Alice, and September Sky to be the core members of the second team for Invincible. He wanted them to gain hands-on experience rather than just following orders for easy rewards.

“No problem!” Gu Le agreed readily.

Four Seasons immediately switched to defensive gear, transforming from a 2,300-HP berserker into a super tank with over 5,000 HP.

Gu Le and September Sky worked together to pull the remaining mobs, gathering them in one place. Cain helped clear them, ensuring that exactly three mobs remained from each door. Fortunately, the different enemies had distinct appearances, making it easy to avoid mistakes. Alice stood nearby, healing them as needed. The four of them managed to stabilize their side of the fight.

Meanwhile, Night Owl’s team was clearing mobs at an astonishing speed. The newly spawned enemies barely had a chance to move before they were wiped out. With their increased power, an additional tank, and an extra healer, their efficiency had greatly improved.

Soon, the sixth wave of rhino monsters appeared. These two rampaging monsters would charge wildly across the battlefield—last time, one had directly crushed Gu Le to death.

“Everyone, be careful! September Sky, Cain, and Alice—watch out for their charges!”

This time, they were prepared. They lured the monsters toward a corner and closely monitored their movements. Whenever the rhinos started their charge, they swiftly repositioned, narrowly avoiding disaster multiple times and preventing the beasts from unleashing their full destructive potential.

Night Owl’s team swiftly took down the two rhino beasts, successfully clearing all the mobs from the first door. He then led the main force to the second door, and Cain didn’t even need Night Owl’s reminder—he immediately eliminated the three remaining mobs there.

Cain’s strong battle awareness, September Sky’s stable tanking, and Alice’s excellent healing instincts left Night Owl very satisfied with their performance on their first deep abyss dungeon run.

[World] Meteor Shower: Learned something new! Tomorrow, when we run the Abyss Dungeon, we should also form a team with three healers and three tanks! Best if one of the tanks can switch between Berserker and Tank, so they can tank when needed and deal damage when needed!

[World] Maple Leaf: Easier said than done… Let’s see you put a team like that together! Not wasting time learning, not at all *orz*.

[World] Summer Fireworks: If it were that easy, we would’ve cleared it long ago. The real issue is our gear—gotta farm more Challenge Dungeons to build up better equipment before taking on the Abyss Dungeon!

[World] Returning to the Sea: The pros make it look effortless, but when we run it ourselves, it’s a completely different experience! The moment those two rhinos start charging, we just start dying left and right…

[World] Pick up the Year: Exactly… I’m suddenly questioning my entire existence… [Crying in the Wind emoji]

Last time, it took them over forty minutes to clear all four gates. This time, they did it in under twenty.

As the last monster fell with a wail, the four gates shook violently before shattering simultaneously. Two giant Snakes slithered out.

Having learned from their previous run, Gu Le and September Sky each took one serpent while the rest of the team unleashed their full firepower. The battle was over in less than fifteen minutes.

Just like last time, the Snake monsters were stingy, only dropping two materials for crafting the Cat Demon set, which Ran Qi collected.

The Flaming Three-Headed Bird in stage 5 was also dealt with smoothly. With three healers keeping them up, no matter how intense the flaming attacks were, they weren’t a real threat.

When the Flaming Three-Headed Bird boss finally fell, Xiao Hei and Xiao Bai shot forward like lightning, but Xiao Hei was just a bit faster, grabbing the loot off the ground first.

“Haha, even Xiao Bai is rushing over—does that mean there’s some real treasure?” Gu Le chuckled.

“Holy crap! Orange gear!!!” Soul Chaser’s voice almost cracked.

[System Announcement] Player [Night Owl] unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, sending the Flaming Three-Headed Bird fleeing in disgrace, leaving behind its long-cherished [Flame Shield].

[Flame Shield]

Restriction Level: 30 or above

Limited Profession: Warrior

Grade: S

Durability: 500/500

Attributes: Basic Defense +400, Constitution +120, Strength +60, Attack Reflection 20% (When attacked, there is a 20% chance to reflect the opponent’s skill damage).

Compared to Grade A gear, Grade S equipment had a significant stat boost. And that attack reflection effect? It made this shield an absolute top-tier item for warriors.

[World] Pathfinder: A once-in-a-lifetime sight! So this is what an S-grade item looks like! I finally got to see one!

[World] Big Orange: Damn, that’s the legendary orange gear? It really is extraordinary! I’m so jealous!!! When will I ever get my own orange gear…

[World] Bear Hardship with Equanimity: The pro’s luck is unreal! Rubbing for some good luck!!

Four warriors in the team could use the shield, and with its Strength bonus and attack reflection, it was useful for both War Gods and Swordsmasters. Since they all had different roles in combat, checking DPS or tanking stats wasn’t the best way to decide.

Night Owl thought for a moment before suggesting, “Let’s just roll for it.”

It was the fairest method—whoever won, it was fate. No one could argue with that.

“Alright!” The four warriors had no objections.

Gu Le went first and rolled a 36.

“Damn, I’m doomed…” He immediately pulled a long face.

Windstorm Jiangnan went next and rolled a 67.

Then September Sky rolled an 82, making everyone hold their breath as they turned to Four Seasons—only to see him roll a 99, instantly crushing the competition…

“Wow, this roll-off is intense!” Plume Ink patted his chest in excitement.

“Hahaha, well deserved! We’ll be counting on you as the main tank for the Level 45 Abyss Dungeon!”

As soon as Four Seasons equipped the shield, his HP soared past 6000, and his gear score shot up dramatically. The shield wasn’t just powerful in stats—it looked amazing too. With its golden base and fiery red patterns, it had an incredibly striking design.

“No worries, we’ll run it again—there will be more chances.” Seeing Gu Le eyeing the shield with longing, Ran Qi walked over to comfort his friend.

“Haha, I’m not that hung up on it!” Gu Le quickly snapped out of it and grinned. “With you, the Lucky King, in our team, we’re bound to get even better drops next time!”

“Yeah!” Ran Qi couldn’t help but laugh as well.
