Shi Yi’s first estrus lasted for a long time, as if his body wanted to make up for what it missed before. He became coquettish, narrow-minded, and needy, demanding his alpha to be by his side in everything he did. If he was unhappy, he would scratch and kick people like a cat.
However, it was limited to this. He had no anxiety, no insomnia or nightmares, and when he curled up in the alpha’s arms, he felt like a baby returning to its mother’s womb. Lu Yunye used to wonder what he would see if he broke Shi Yi’s cold shell?
He received an extremely soft and immature Shi Yi, who was more real with a petty temper that made his heart itch. It was just a weak core that was stronger than anyone else, more tolerant than anyone else, and made Lu Yunye hasten to coax him well. If the other party is sad, he will also feel distressed.
Housekeeper Wang and the cooking aunt left for a few days. Only part-time workers came to clean the villa on a regular basis, and every day it was often as if a typhoon passed through the villa. The study, kitchen, dining table, and sink had to be cleaned anew.
Unlike Lu Yunye who always wanted to hide himself during the susceptible period, Shi Yi is like a child exposed to new things, constantly exploring and demanding various difficult ways to play.
As he was commanded around, Lu Yunye also felt a little secret joy—that is, only a top alpha has this ability to cooperate; anyone else would have to hold the wall and be asking to get out.
After his estrus ended, Shi Yi’s body was covered with marks. Lu Yunye didn’t escape either – his body was scratched and bruised all over by a certain kitten.
The scar left by the complete marking scabbed over, turning into a thin scar. Only the positions of the two canine teeth are still visible. Shi Yi wasn’t satisfied, and asked Lu Yunye to bite a better one with his strict vision as a designer.
He stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, facing the morning light, looking at the photo of the mark on his neck, pointing and making suggestions.
“Don’t say anymore, ancestor.” Lu Yunye hugged him from behind, and put his broad palm on the omega’s abdomen.
Feeling the warm touch on his waist, Shi Yi looked down and suddenly realized a fact that he had ignored: “You didn’t use…”
“Just found out?” Lu Yunye sniffed the side of the omega’s neck. “Do you want one?”
Shi Yi’s conditioned reflex was to shake his head. Even if he finally decided to combine with someone, he was not ready for a new life at all. But there was nothing he could do, and he hurriedly cried out: “What should I do, Lu Yunye…”
“Just in case…”
“I’ve already taken medicine.” Lu Yunye comforted in a low voice, “There won’t be any.”
“You took medicine?” Shi Yi raised his head blankly. “Don’t you want our child?”
“If we have it, you will cry in fear, and if you don’t have it, you still have to ask.” Lu Yunye lightly bit the side of Shi Yi’s neck, grinding lightly in punishment. “You aren’t ready, nor is it the best time. When you’re ready later, you’re afraid it won’t happen?”
Shi Yi’s face turned red. “I never said that.”
“You were crying and begging me to give it to you before, did you forget?” Lu Yunye poked his weak spot, pretending to be melancholic and said, “After giving you a lot, you turned back to deny me. I’m sad…”
Shi Yi stretched out his hand to cover his mouth, but the man quickly pinched his wrist and kissed the base of his fingers lightly.
“There seems to be something missing here,” Lu Yunye pondered, and then took out an exquisite velvet box from his pocket.
Shi Yi only felt a chill at the base of his finger, and when he focused his eyes again, there was a silver ring on his ring finger. The diamond in the middle was shining blue, wrapping around his finger perfectly.
He was startled, and raised his hand to look at the ring. “When did you buy it?”
“I ordered it a long time ago, but it wasn’t ready before, and was delivered recently.” Lu Yunye raised his hand, clasped his fingers, and held the hand firmly in his palm: “Do you like it?”
“Why a diamond? It’s too eye-catching…” Shi Yi muttered in a low voice. “Where’s yours?”
“Baby, you can’t even tell the difference between an engagement ring and a wedding ring? Wedding rings should only be worn on the wedding day.” Lu Yunye hugged him a little tighter. “This is just my stamp for now. Drilling of blue diamonds has stopped, and there is no second one in the world. With such a big seal, I’m not afraid of others snatching you away.”
“So exaggerated, I don’t want to wear it…” Shi Yi said with disgust, but his eyes were already attracted by the blue diamond. The ring band is slightly wider, so it didn’t look feminine, and the perfect design of the ring made it impossible for him to see any mistakes.
Lu Yunye looked at his eyes and said intentionally, “Don’t like it? If you don’t like it, I’ll change it.”
“No!” Shi Yi immediately clenched his fists and hid it behind his back. “You’ve already proposed marriage, so why go back on your word?”
“That’s right, we’re already engaged and a ring has been accepted. There’s nothing left except to make it formal,” Lu Yunye put his head on Shi Yi’s shoulder, like a big pitiful dog. “When does Mr. Shi plan to marry me and get the certificate?”
Obtaining the certificate… Shi Yi was taken aback for a moment, inexplicably remembering that in May last year, after finishing a bunch of property notarizations, he went to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get married and then hastily went back to work.
In the photo, there are two people in black and white shirts, with a clear boundary between them that could fit another person. His expression in the photo is trepidatious and anxious, lacking the joy of getting married.
This unqualified marriage certificate has already been returned by Lu Yunye, and he has not even opened the two green books from back then.
With all kinds of emotions stuck in his heart, Shi Yi hesitated for a while, and choked out a sentence: “…Now?”
“Yes, now. I can’t wait to marry you.” Lu Yunye said sullenly.
Shi Yi doesn’t understand the process of getting married. Doesn’t it take time to prepare those notarized materials?
“Don’t we still have to notarize…”
“We are marrying, it’s not a contract.” Lu Yunye blocked Shi Yi’s mouth with a kiss. “Notarize what? Notarize me to your name to serve you forever?”
“You’re not willing?” Shi Yi raised his eyes.
“Of course I am,” Lu Yunye let go. “But now, we should go to the Civil Affairs Bureau.”
One day at the end of April, without looking at auspicious dates, not considering birthdays – even their clothes were sloppy because a certain alpha couldn’t wait – they sat to get their photos taken.
A familiar counter with a bright red background.
“Oh, it’s too close, you look tense.” The photographer was a lively little girl this time. “Mr. Lu, you’re going to push Mr. Shi out of the frame.”
“Take a picture with us arm in arm.” Lu Yunye demanded.
“Another one like this.”
The little girl put her hands on her hips angrily, “I’m the one taking photos, and will charge you an extra five yuan to develop the photos.”
“Okay, be serious.” Shi Yi persuaded, but he couldn’t control his smile either. When he raised his head, the upturned corner of his mouth was perfectly caught in the frame.
After getting the photo, Shi Yi still couldn’t help bending over in laughter. “You smile like a husky.”
“What’s the matter, marry a dog and follow the dog.” Lu Yunye covered his hand, and the fingertips of the two of them scanned the rather funny photos together.
“I can finally go back and prepare for the wedding,” Lu Yunye chuckled. “How about inviting all the employees from Yunye and Feiyi?”
“You’re crazy,” Shi Yi chided. “Why so extravagant? It’s wasteful.”
“That depends on how extravagance is defined, and for whom it is wasted on.” Lu Yunye embraced him. “It’s a happy event that only happens once in a lifetime, so it’s worth it.”
Blushing, Shi Yi turned his head awkwardly, but the upwards curl of his lips couldn’t be suppressed no matter what.
“It’s so sad that you don’t kiss me like this.” Lu Yunye sighed pretendingly. Beside him, Shi Yi suddenly turned around, stood on tiptoe and kissed him on the lips.
While he was in a daze, Shi Yi turned around and ran away with brisk steps, blending into the bright spring.
“Don’t run!” Lu Yunye stroked the cherry blossoms by the roadside, and chased after him, setting off in a cloud of pink petals.
In front of him is a bright future, and behind are old dreams.
This time, he won’t let him leave again.
