OLF3C Chapter 6

Brother, I'm here! Don't be afraid!

Lin Shen was genuinely caught off guard.

He never expected to hear such a familiar line… in this kind of position.

He was stunned!

Mo Juecheng’s high nose bridge brushed ambiguously across his cheek.

The breath from the other party lightly brushed against his ear.

They were very close — Lin Shen felt like he could not only feel the warmth from Mo Juecheng’s chest…

He could even hear that lively heart in his chest, beating faster and faster — thump, thump…

“Then…” Lin Shen licked his lips, “you agree to let me tutor you?”

He was really desperate!

It was already the first monthly exam of the first semester of senior year.

Golden October! [mfn]Golden/Best time to start studying is during October[/mfn]

There were barely eight months left before the college entrance exam.

Even if they started cramming now, it wasn’t guaranteed that Su Tiantian and Mo Juecheng could finish the full Five-Three review set in time.

Mo Juecheng narrowed his eyes.

He had thought this was just Lin Shen’s way of trying to get his attention.

But it turned out the guy was more interesting than he thought.

If you’re going to put on an act, you better go all the way, right?

“Alright.” Mo Juecheng let go of Lin Shen.

He was feeling bored lately anyways. Might as well use this amusing little guy to kill time.

“Su Tiantian has to join too!” Lin Shen boldly pushed his luck.

He figured Su Tiantian might be difficult to deal with too.

Mo Juecheng was bound to have more sway than he did.

After all, in the novel, that strong-willed, never-gives-up, sunshine-y heroine…

was once forced to be Mo Juecheng’s “personal maid.”

Mo Juecheng: “…”

Lin Shen looked at him expectantly. “Let’s wait for Su Tiantian to finish her exam, then we can start from today. Is that okay?”

He would’ve felt bad suggesting this to anyone else.

After all, they just went through six full subjects — an intense simulation of the college entrance exam.

A little break would usually be fair.

But Mo Juecheng literally turned in a blank physics test with just his name on it.

Anyone who can’t answer a single question — at this final eight-month sprint — does NOT deserve a break!

Mo Juecheng: “…”

Back in the classroom, Su Tiantian shivered.

She suddenly felt a chill down her spine.

Su Tiantian: “???”

The physics test lasted 90 minutes.

Su Tiantian stayed until the very last second.

Even though she couldn’t answer many questions, she still carefully filled in the whole sheet with her own ideas.

She was the last to leave.

As she walked past the teacher’s desk, homeroom teacher Li Xuqian was frowning down at a test paper already marked.

Su Tiantian couldn’t help but sneak a peek—

Full marks!

She gasped softly, eyes drifting to the name—

Lin Shen!

LIN SHEN?!

Su Tiantian was dumbfounded!

She walked out of the building in a daze…

Only to see the guy who just scored a perfect physics test—

No! The same guy who cornered her in the back of the classroom at noon.

She really thought he was going to do something inappropriate, but all he asked was if she had prepared for the physics exam…

That same Lin Shen was now waving enthusiastically at her under the big tree outside the school building.

“Su Tiantian, over here!”

Lin Shen saw her and called out immediately.

They had been waiting quite a while.

Mo Juecheng’s expression had grown colder by the minute.

During the thirty-minute wait for Su Tiantian, Lin Shen had done a lot —

Most importantly, he’d used everything he knew to draft a strict but humane study plan for both of them, especially Su Tiantian.

“Can I help you?”

“Su Tiantian.” Lin Shen smiled at her complex expression. “Starting today, I’ll be tutoring you both.”

“???” Su Tiantian was completely lost.

The combination of Lin Shen, Mo Juecheng, and Su Tiantian was already eye-catching enough on its own—

And even more so within the campus of Xing Shang High School.

Mo Juecheng, a true legend—a campus heartthrob known as the “Ice Demon.”

Su Tiantian, a stubborn and spirited transfer student who wouldn’t back down from anyone—not even Mo Juecheng.

Lin Shen himself coming in dead last every month wasn’t all that surprising.

But—he had an older brother, Lin Yuan, a former school legend and academic genius who had consistently ranked first during his time.

And a younger brother, Lin Che, currently in the elite class of second year—ridiculously handsome and always ranked number one.

Everyone who passed by couldn’t help but glance at the trio.

Before long, this bizarre combination had already become the talk of the school.

Lin Shen, Mo Juecheng, and Su Tiantian walked side by side toward a Rolls-Royce Phantom parked not far away.

Before they reached the car, they suddenly heard hurried footsteps from behind.

Lin Shen felt a sudden tug on his arm as someone yanked him back.

Caught off guard, he stumbled straight into the person who had pulled him.

He collided with a firm chest that made him wince slightly from the impact.

After pulling him in, the person extended an arm protectively, shielding him in a clearly defensive gesture.

“Ge, I’m here!”

Then came the clear and pleasant voice of a young man above his head.

“Don’t be afraid!”

TL: Hi! Since it has been a while, some of the terms might have changed. I’ll try my best to keep them consistent throughout~
