He paused and then added, “Don’t even think about it.”

He had often seen people on the star network who were obsessed with their cats, living with them, eating, sleeping, and working with them. Some even carried their cats while working, sleeping with them, and willingly became corporate slaves for their cats. The star network was filled with all sorts of holographic projections of cats…

He hadn’t really understood it before, but now, upon hearing that Fu Mingxiu wanted to raise a cat, he suddenly became alert.

After spending months together, Ye Qin had figured out Fu Mingxiu’s tactics. Though Fu Mingxiu looked like a proper person, he had been able to kill both people and Zergs without batting an eye before. Now, whenever he wasn’t happy, he would act spoiled in various ways. At first, Ye Qin always fell for it, but now, he had… at least a little bit of self-control.

“No.” Ye Qin said, walking behind the wicker chair and pressing Fu Mingxiu back into a reclining position.

Ye Qin leaned down and brought his face close to Fu Mingxiu’s ear, chuckling softly, “A cat is impossible… but how about a son?”

He paused for a moment and then added, “A daughter might be even cuter.”

Fu Mingxiu, who was forcefully pressed into the wicker chair: “…”

He was shocked by Ye Qin’s request and for a moment forgot to think.

Holy crap, he almost forgot! Omegas can get pregnant!

“No way!” It took him a while to snap out of his shock.

He had never considered this concept before. Back when he was doing missions, he had been an Alpha, and for several years, he had stayed in places without Omegas. Although this ABO world seemed to break all norms and made no sense to him, he hadn’t really encountered the more outrageous parts of it. Everyone around him was either Alpha or Beta, and life was pretty simple for him.

Moreover, he never had any missions that involved Omegas, so he didn’t have much of an understanding of them. And since Omegas rarely wandered the streets, they seemed like an insignificant part of the world to him.

After finishing his mission, he quickly moved on to others, not realizing how many years had passed. So to this day, Fu Mingxiu still didn’t really understand Omegas.

To him, he was just a man, and the concept of having children never crossed his mind.

But now, Ye Qin’s words reminded him.

Holy crap, theoretically, he could get pregnant now!

“Why?” Ye Qin frowned at the refusal, “…You don’t want to have children with me?”

“Uh…” Fu Mingxiu felt like he had unknowingly touched a nerve. He wasn’t sure what to say.

It wasn’t about whether he wanted to or not. He was a man! Why on earth would he want to have children?!

Fu Mingxiu couldn’t accept this change right away.

Luckily, he quickly found his previous rhythm and started acting again.

He reached up and grabbed Ye Qin’s hand that was pressing on his shoulder, biting his lip, “Ah Qin, giving birth hurts… I don’t want to have children QAQ.”

His hand slid up Ye Qin’s arm, finally resting on Ye Qin’s cheek. He placed the other hand on Ye Qin’s face, cupping it and gently lifting his head to peck Ye Qin’s cheek.

“Ah Qin, please don’t make me have children, okay?” he asked softly.

Ye Qin’s green eyes seemed to darken a little more.

If only he weren’t standing behind Fu Mingxiu, it would have been so tempting to just kiss Fu Mingxiu’s lips until they were swollen.

“Even if you don’t want to, you still have to,” Ye Qin said. “You said you wanted to be my Omega, but you won’t give me children? Where’s the logic in that?”

The next day, Fu Mingxiu woke up again around one or two in the afternoon and began to feel deeply worried.

It wasn’t that he had a delayed reaction, and it took him this long to be scared. It was just that Ye Qin hadn’t given him any time to think.

Fu Mingxiu sighed in relief, then immediately asked the system, “Brother System, do you have anything that can make someone infertile? Pills or ointments, anything?”

“No,” it answered.

“Then what good are you?” Fu Mingxiu grumbled.

The system: “…”

Alright, just a moment ago he was calling it “Brother System,” and now it was being scolded.

Men’s minds were like the bottom of the sea, impossible to fathom.

“Then what should I do? There’s no contraceptive here…” Fu Mingxiu said, feeling troubled. “Should I sneak out and get a sterilization?”

He thought a vasectomy was a good idea but then became worried, “System, do you think it’s selfish of me to not want to have children with Ye Qin?”

“He’s the emperor of the empire. Although he says otherwise, I know he plans to be with me. If he has no children, wouldn’t that be… not very good?”

But to have children… he couldn’t accept it just yet.

And although he could live out his life in this world without any problems, he would eventually return to other worlds. By then, he’d have lived several lifetimes, but his child would have passed away early… how sad would that be?

“This world has advanced technology, can’t you just have one grown outside of your body?” the system wanted to roll its eyes.

“Right.” Fu Mingxiu slapped his forehead.

“And even if not, do you think you can sneak out?” the system mocked.

Fu Mingxiu: “…”

So, the conclusion was that the system didn’t have anything that could make him infertile, he couldn’t sneak out to get a sterilization, and even though he wasn’t pregnant yet, it was still a huge worry.

The only solution was to persuade Ye Qin. After all, Ye Qin could grow a child outside the body, and with current technology, the child would be just like a normal one.

He asked his personal doctor, “Is it still possible for an alpha to get pregnant after undergoing surgery to become an Omega?”

He looked charming in a suit, with a touch of elegance, but in military attire, he appeared cold and stunning.

“Where are we going?” Fu Mingxiu asked.

“To have you checked out and condition your body so it’s easier for you to get pregnant,” Ye Qin said seriously, trying to scare him.

Fu Mingxiu was indeed frightened.

He had wanted to go out, but if the purpose was this, he’d rather stay inside!

However, Ye Qin used to listen to everything he said, and now that he had made a mistake, no matter how unwilling, he was still dragged to the hospital.

Fu Mingxiu followed the medical staff to the examination table, appearing calm on the surface but internally panicking.

He underwent some tests, which took over an hour, and then someone delivered the results to Ye Qin.

When Ye Qin heard the first half of the sentence, his previously relaxed expression tightened again.
