DQGTFL chapter 48

After Xie Wanxing understood Li Siheng’s meaning, he still looked confused,

He almost thought Li Siheng was joking, but then he heard Fu Wenshan beside him mutter, “Damn, these bastards!”

Quite genuine.

Xie Wanxing turned his head sharply, catching Fu Wenshan’s embarrassed and stiff expression, looking like someone who had been exposed.

He widened his eyes, looking at Fu Wenshan suspiciously.

He had just felt a little drowsy after eating and drinking, but now he was suddenly wide awake.

Fu Wenshan coughed, his gaze shifting uncertainly.

He seemed even more suspicious.

Xie Wanxing grabbed Fu Wenshan and entered the room, closing the door and leaning against it, his face expressionless.

He looked at Fu Wenshan and asked, “What does Li Siheng’s remark mean?” He recalled it again and repeated, “When you first got with me… were you still a virgin?”

Virgin?

Fu Wenshan?

Xie Wanxing felt that he might not understand the term “virgin” very well.

Fu Wenshan’s face was faintly flushed.

In fact, he had thought several times about confessing this secret to Xie Wanxing. After all, maintaining a persona that didn’t belong to him all along was quite embarrassing.

He had never been in a relationship, nor had any experience in bed. Essentially, he was still an innocent little kid. Not to mention losing his virginity, even his first kiss was with Xie Wanxing.

But he couldn’t find the right opportunity to bring it up, especially just after being intimate with Xie Wanxing, with hormones filling the room and a sweet atmosphere. Even if he said it, Xie Wanxing wouldn’t believe him.

Now he was caught off guard by Li Siheng revealing his secret. Fu Wenshan felt no gratitude; he just wanted to pull him out and give him a beating. He felt utterly embarrassed.

Seeing him remain silent, Xie Wanxing urged him, “Come on, what does it mean?”

The more Xie Wanxing thought about it, the more he felt something was amiss, mainly because of Fu Wenshan’s silence.

Fu Wenshan had no choice. It had to be said sooner or later. He pulled Xie Wanxing to sit on the sofa, opened a bottle of mineral water for himself, took a few sips, and then said, “Literally. When I, Fu Wenshan, slept with you for the first time at Longhua Hotel, I was still a virgin.”

Fu Wenshan had a grim expression on his face, thinking, if Xie Wanxing dared to ridicule him, he would… well, he couldn’t really do anything to Xie Wanxing either.

Xie Wanxing didn’t mock him; Xie Wanxing simply didn’t believe him.

“How could it have been your first time?” Xie Wanxing recalled that day at Longhua Hotel when Fu Wenshan leaned against the headboard, smoking and saying he wanted to sponsor him. He simply couldn’t believe it. “The first time you wouldn’t be so skilled, would you? You didn’t even hesitate and wanted to sponsor right away?”

What kind of virgin was like this?!

Fu Wenshan felt utterly frustrated. “Just because I’ve never seen a pig run doesn’t mean I’ve never eaten pork. I really was the first time with you. If you don’t believe me, go ask Li Siheng, Luo He, and the others. I was clueless when I was in school. Later, I was too busy abroad, and when I returned to China to be a trainee, I had no time. Where could I find time to date? Don’t you know about all the gossip in the circle? More fake than real. Even if I didn’t have a partner, they would still make one up for me. I haven’t even touched them.”

Seeing Xie Wanxing still looking horrified, he felt a bit helpless. He tried to explain patiently, “Why would I lie to you about this? What benefit would it bring me? I just saw you so experienced and didn’t want to lose face. I didn’t want you to think my skills in bed were bad.”

But Xie Wanxing had always been quite satisfied with his skills in bed, which made Fu Wenshan feel a bit proud. He thought he truly was gifted. He felt a bit sweet inside.

Following Xie Wanxing’s lips, he kissed Xie Wanxing’s nose tip, lightly rubbing his forehead, and whispered, “Now you know, I belong to you completely. My first kiss was with you, my first love was with you. You have to take responsibility for me and not abandon me easily.”

Xie Wanxing was in a daze.

His brain had a momentary glitch. He looked at Fu Wenshan full of mistrust, this face, this figure, this skilled flirting technique, actually belonged to a virgin?! Someone who had never even been in love before?!

Fu Wenshan was still cuddling him, “I don’t care about your past flings, but I fell in love with you for the first time. Shouldn’t you treat me better?”

What a load of crap.

Xie Wanxing ruthlessly pushed Fu Wenshan away with one palm.

Xie Wanxing felt he needed to calm down. He took a cigarette from the table, lit it, took a deep drag, the taste of nicotine making him slightly sober up, and then said to Fu Wenshan, “Let me also tell you something, don’t be too surprised.”

Fu Wenshan didn’t take it seriously and smiled at him, “What is it?”

Xie Wanxing exhaled smoke, his eyes still seductive, just like the day they met at Longhua Hotel, charming and provocative.

He said calmly, “Actually, I was also a virgin.”

Fu Wenshan was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.

“How could that be? You’re not capable of lying to me like this,” he laughed at Xie Wanxing, thinking he was joking with him. “Are you afraid I’ll mind? I don’t mind… well, I do mind, but I really don’t think your past matters. Those are all things before meeting me.”

Fu Wenshan certainly didn’t take it as seriously as he pretended to.

At the moment, he was almost green with jealousy. The thought that such a good-looking guy like Xie Wanxing had been seen by others as well almost drowned him in aged vinegar.

But he didn’t think it was a problem. He might feel jealous, but he wouldn’t lose his reason.

However, Xie Wanxing gave him a frustrated look. “Shut up, I fucking mean it.”

The smile on Fu Wenshan’s face abruptly disappeared.

He finally realized that Xie Wanxing was not joking.

Now it was Xie Wanxing’s turn to explain.

Xie Wanxing scratched his head, feeling quite annoyed. “I’ve never been in a relationship, it’s my own fault, I’m picky and haven’t met anyone I like. Then I accidentally slept with you, and I felt pain for two days afterwards, so I was annoyed when I saw you.”

Fu Wenshan was dumbfounded.

The amount of information today was too much for him to digest for a moment.

But he quickly remembered something. “But Li Siheng said he saw you on the set that one time, with a little boy who was very handsome, and you were even holding hands with him? Wasn’t that your… lover?”

Xie Wanxing frowned, momentarily unable to recall. After rummaging through his memory for a while, he finally remembered what happened.

He was even more speechless. “Damn, that’s my cousin, blood-related. He’s been clinging to me since we were kids and wanted to see what my work site was like.”

He pulled out his phone, retrieved a photo from the album, and handed it to Fu Wenshan. “Is this him?”

The photo showed a family portrait, with a fair and handsome young boy standing beside Xie Wanxing, probably seventeen or eighteen years old. Although Fu Wenshan had never seen him in person, he immediately believed it.

The explanations were all sorted out.

The air was unusually quiet.

Both of them were seriously doubting life.

Xie Wanxing asked puzzledly, “But you were a virgin, how could you be so… skilled?”

Fu Wenshan replied, “Acting.”

Xie Wanxing agreed, “You’re wasting your talent by not becoming an actor.”

Fu Wenshan also praised, “You’re very professional too, no wonder you’re an actor.”

They glanced at each other and both felt like idiots.

Xie Wanxing stood up. “Don’t talk to me for now, I want to be alone.”

He opened the balcony door and went out.

One inside, one outside, they each occupied a corner of their own, pondering life.

Xie Wanxing finished a cigarette and lit another one, feeling that tonight was really a lot to take in. First, he met his boyfriend’s childhood friend, and then he found out that his supposed experienced boyfriend was actually a virgin like himself.

The slightly cool night breeze blew on his face, carrying the moisture of the rain.

He felt a bit amused, thinking that they were really a pair of drama queens.

But he hadn’t been standing on the balcony for long before the drama queen couldn’t stand the loneliness and squeezed in.

Fu Wenshan hugged Xie Wanxing from behind, hanging onto him like a large dog.

Both of them felt a very subtle emptiness, and neither spoke as they sat on the balcony, feeling the cold wind for quite some time.

….

The cold wind couldn’t calm their minds.

Eventually, both of them took a shower and went to bed.

No matter how surreal the day had been, people still needed to sleep.

Neither of them felt like doing anything, as if they had really turned into elementary school kids, lying obediently on the same bed.

After a while, Fu Wenshan felt no drowsiness at all.

“I feel like everything that happened today is too unreal,” Fu Wenshan murmured. “I feel like I’ve been through twists and turns all the way, worrying and not daring to confess to you, I’m simply an idiot.”

Xie Wanxing felt the same way. “Yeah…”

The two idiots looked at each other and suddenly laughed, then shared a kiss.

Fu Wenshan reached out to pull Xie Wanxing into his arms, deepening the kiss as he asked him, “So… are we each other’s first love?”

It sounded quite beautiful.

However, Xie Wanxing deliberately teased, “You are, but I’m not. My first love was at sixteen.”

Fu Wenshan knew Xie Wanxing was referring to the stranger who saved him, but he didn’t care, stubbornly insisting, “Is that even considered a first love? That’s just youthful ignorance. I am your first love.”

His tone was quite firm.

Xie Wanxing couldn’t be bothered to argue with him, but he chuckled softly without retorting.

The two held hands under the blanket, their eyes reflecting each other’s faces.
