BMHS Chapter 065.1

“Are you angry?” Yan Sui asked as he carried the person back to the room and wiping Meng Ting’s body.

“Just a little bit in the bathroom earlier, but now it’s all gone…” He couldn’t bear to stay mad at Yan Sui for that long.

Meng Ting looked at Yan Sui, his expression a little aggrieved, “What about you, are you still angry?”

Yan Sui rubbed Meng Ting’s hair and kissed the corner of his mouth again, “Not angry.”

He wasn’t even angry with Meng Ting to begin with. If he had to say he was angry, he was probably a little frustrated with himself. Being ignored by the person you like, even if Meng Ting didn’t do it on purpose, even if he had expected it, but when he actually experienced it, he still couldn’t adapt and felt uncomfortable.

Meng Ting looked at Yan Sui, clearly not believing his words, but he didn’t pursue the matter any further or argue any more. He wrapped his arms around Yan Sui’s waist, leaned against him, and his expression gradually calmed down, his thoughts drifting as if contemplating some issue.

Yan Sui tossed the towel aside, pulled the blanket over, and lay down with Meng Ting. He patted Meng Ting’s back, now it was his turn to be a bit worried about Meng Ting’s emotions. He had indeed gone too far earlier, but he had already done it, so there was no point in trying to justify himself.

“Go to sleep, whatever it is, think about it tomorrow.”

Meng Ting didn’t respond, but he didn’t move away from Yan Sui either. His eyelashes fluttered gently, his body was clearly exhausted, yet he was still caught up in some problem and didn’t want to sleep.

Yan Sui continued to pat Meng Ting for a while, then looked down and noticed that his eyelashes were still occasionally fluttering. With no other choice, Yan Sui pulled away from Meng Ting, then looked into his eyes and asked in a low voice, “Can’t sleep?”

Meng Ting’s expression paused slightly upon hearing the words, and then he shook his head as if in a daze, “No, I was thinking about a very important issue.”

“What?” Yan Sui asked next.

Meng Ting moved his body slightly upon hearing the words, as if trying to get up, but his hands and feet were weak, and after struggling for a while, he couldn’t get up at all. He looked up at Yan Sui, “I suddenly have a special idea, I want to write it down, I’m afraid I’ll forget it after a nap.”

Yan Sui, who thought that Meng Ting was thinking about him, was completely self-delusional, but he still could only pick the person up, and then went to pick up Meng Ting’s laptop. Meng Ting said he would write it, and it took almost twenty minutes before it was completed.

Yan Sui put the laptop away, returned to bed, and continued to hold Meng Ting, “Can we sleep now?”

“Mm,” Meng Ting nodded, looking at Yan Sui, and kissed him on the neck and cheek again, “Yan Sui, you’re really good.” Just a bit too prone to anger. Meng Ting didn’t say the last part, but after tonight, he had learned his lesson.

Yan Sui felt extremely helpless, but his embrace became even gentler. He kissed Meng Ting’s eyes and then patted his back. Meng Ting, free of worries, fell asleep soundly in less than two minutes.

The next day, when Yan Sui woke up, Meng Ting had already washed up and dressed. He hadn’t left the room and was still typing on his laptop on the sofa in the room, looking focused. However, as soon as Yan Sui sat up, Meng Ting’s gaze immediately turned to him.

He put down his laptop and didn’t even bother to put on his slippers. In a few quick steps, he reached the bedside, then he leaned down, hugged Yan Sui, kissed his forehead, and said, “Yan Sui, good morning.”

Yan Sui ruffled Meng Ting’s hair, feeling both distressed and slightly amused at the same time. “Good morning, why didn’t you sleep a bit longer?”

“I just got up not long ago,” Meng Ting said, rubbing Yan Sui’s cheek. Then he seemed to remember something, sat up straight, pulled Yan Sui up as well, and reached out. There was a bouquet of white roses placed by the side of the bed.

“I went downstairs earlier and cut them, I’m giving them to you.”

Yan Sui held the flower and looked at Meng Ting, his eyebrows slightly raised. It was obvious that Meng Ting was trying to make him happy.

Yan Sui held the flowers for a while, pulled Meng Ting over, kissed him on the forehead, and then got up to wash up. Meng Ting took the flowers and arranged them in the vase in the room.

When Yan Sui came out of the bathroom, Meng Ting had just finished arranging the flowers. They came downstairs hand in hand, looking as intimate as ever. Yan Manjia, who was yawning, and Zhen Han, who was reading the newspaper, were not surprised at all.

According to Yan Manjia, for couples with a good relationship, they can argue at the head of the bed and make up at the foot of the bed[mfn]床頭吵床尾和 (chuáng tóu chǎo jià chuáng wěi hé): (of a married couple) to quarrel with each other at the head of the bed and compromise at the end of it; to fight getting into bed and make up before falling asleep; to quickly make up after a quarrel; (sometimes specifically) to end an intense argument with make-up sex.[/mfn]. There’s nothing that can’t be resolved with a little rolling around.

Today, Meng Ting doesn’t have to go to the lab, so it’s reasonable to say that he should rest well at home. Yan Sui has the same idea; Meng Ting is already tired, and yesterday, he was… more than wanting Meng Ting to accompany him, he more so doesn’t want Meng Ting to really wear himself out.

“But if I go to the company with you, I can rest too. Today is the only day I can be with you all week. Don’t you want to see me?”

If Meng Ting continues to talk, Yan Sui will feel like a scumbag, but the truth is… the truth doesn’t matter. What matters is that Meng Ting wants to cling to him again. The way he lowered his head and mumbling his request, Yan Sui couldn’t refuse at all.

“Got it,” Yan Sui pulled the person into his arms, kissed Meng Ting’s hair, nodded at Yan Manjia who stayed at home, and then took Meng Ting away.

Meng Ting followed Yan Sui for a few steps, then turned back and waved to Yan Manjia, but the gesture was meant to express thanks. It was obvious that Meng Ting had learned all these tricks to please people from Yan Manjia. Of course, there were still some that he hadn’t practiced yet.

However, he couldn’t help but yawn when he got into the car, and was pulled into Yan Sui’s arms, “I’ll call you when we get there.”

Meng Ting thought for a moment before responding with an ‘mm’. Yan Manjia didn’t mention how he should please people in the car, so he decided to stick to the usual habits he had with Yan Sui.

It’s just that he indeed got up a bit too early, and he was really exhausted from all the fuss yesterday. Zhao Bing, because the most important person for Yan Sui was in the back seat, kept his driving skills sharp. There was a familiar scent at the tip of his nose, and Yan Sui had completely mastered the technique of coaxing him to sleep. In just two or three minutes, Meng Ting was asleep again.

When he woke up again, it wasn’t in the car, nor in the break room of Yan Sui’s office, but lying on the sofa, covered with a blanket, with his head resting on Yan Sui’s thigh.

He completely fell back into a deep sleep and has no memory of how he got from the car to the sofa.

Meng Ting had not yet fully woken up when Yan Sui’s hand came down. He gently rubbed Meng Ting’s hair, helping him to wake up.

At the same time, he was still speaking, “Alright, let’s adjourn for now.”

“Yes…” Several voices responded, and before long, the office was completely quiet again.

But Meng Ting still felt a bit dazed. Did Yan Sui really take him to the meeting while he was asleep?

As Meng Ting suspected, Yan Sui did exactly that. He couldn’t be sure if some of Meng Ting’s symptoms had improved, and he didn’t want to try. He knew better than anyone that Meng Ting needed to rest well.

At the entrance of the Yan Building, he didn’t wake Meng Ting. He took off his clothes, covered Meng Ting’s head, and carried him to the office without disturbing his deep sleep as much as possible.

All the way, Yan Sui walked with unparalleled calmness, but people around him kept bumping into each other or gasping in shock. Yet, Yan Sui just brought his sleeping wife to work.

Wang Feng was also a bit surprised, but his professionalism meant that even if he were surprised, it wouldn’t affect his work efficiency. According to Yan Sui’s request, a table of suitable height was set up for him next to the sofa, and Yan Sui continued to work with Meng Ting in his arms.

During the meeting, he also let people come in. Everyone noticed the situation on the sofa and consciously lowered their voices.

One of Yan Sui’s hands was always holding a pen or clicking the mouse, but the other hand was always covering Meng Ting’s ear. He could immediately tell whether Meng Ting was sleeping well or not.

As he expected, even with some noise, Meng Ting was not disturbed at all. Since getting on the car, he had already been asleep for almost three hours.

Meng Ting blinked, seeming a bit embarrassed, or perhaps just moved. But one thing was certain: Yan Sui was truly no longer angry with him. Even so, he still wanted to please him, to make him happy.

“Yan Sui, do you like me accompanying you like this?”

Yan Manjia said that the more he clings to Yan Sui, the happier Yan Sui will be. He somewhat understood her words but also wanted to confirm with Yan Sui once more.

“Like,” Yan Sui continued to ruffle Meng Ting’s hair, a slight smile appearing on his face. He knew how shocking his actions were, but he didn’t feel it was inappropriate. No matter how much he spoiled or loved Meng Ting, he never felt it was too much.

“Mm,” Meng Ting nodded, slowly sitting up. He then reached out and wrapped his arms around Yan Sui’s shoulders, shifting closer and resting his head on Yan Sui’s shoulder. “Once I’m done with this busy period, I’ll make more time to be with you.”

“You are more important than perfume, more important than anything.”

Meng Ting doesn’t know much about anything other than perfume, but he is very certain about his own heart. He has always been very clear about what is most important to him. People sometimes can’t help but worry about gains and losses, but Meng Ting doesn’t seem to have such troubles.

Yan Sui’s hand caressed Meng Ting’s cheek, then touched his lips again, “I understand.”

After the two of them talked it out, Yan Sui’s frustration over the past few days seemed to have turned into a little fun between them. Looking back on it now, Yan Sui seemed to find it quite memorable.

After finishing lunch, they went to the company’s cafeteria to show off again. There weren’t many people working overtime on the weekend, but those who came basically knew about the morning’s events. Meng Ting didn’t care about outsiders’ opinions; in his bright eyes, he could only see Yan Sui. He was already quite skilled at serving food and refilling dishes, having taken over Wang Feng’s tasks.

Around three o’clock in the afternoon, Yan Sui took Meng Ting out of the Yan Building, but they didn’t go straight back to the Yan residence. Following Meng Ting’s request, they went to see a movie together, and then drove to Meng Ting’s restaurant for a romantic candlelight dinner before finally heading back to the Yan residence.

Meng Ting and Yan Sui have really never had such a simple date before. Yan Manjia’s suggestion was quite appropriate, but actually, the more important point is that Meng Ting and Yan Sui already have a good relationship. They don’t need to do anything, just being together makes them happy.

After a night of warmth, they quickly fell asleep. The next day was Monday again. Yan Sui went to work, and Meng Ting continued to the lab.
