SMS CHAPTER 57

Missed You So Much

Yan Chengfeng was completely stunned.

But after all, he was a proud and hot-blooded young alpha. How could he possibly let his omega take the lead in something like this? The moment he realized what was happening, he immediately flipped over, pinning Zhen Ning down once again and reclaiming control.

They were both doing this for the first time, so they were clumsy and awkward.

Yet neither of them was willing to admit defeat. Both stubbornly pressed on, refusing to yield. Yan Chengfeng was a nervous wreck inside, but he tried his best to appear composed. It wasn’t until he lowered his head that he noticed Zhen Ning was trembling slightly too.

The room was silent—so quiet that every tiny sound was magnified. The faint dripping of water from a faucet in the bathroom was still audible.

At first, their breathing was steady, but at some point, it grew erratic.

Later, Yan Chengfeng noticed something was off. When he looked down, he saw that Zhen Ning had turned his face away, sinking his teeth into Yan Chengfeng’s arm.

He bit down hard with 100% force. Yan Chengfeng yelped in pain. When he looked closer, he saw tears glistening at the corners of Zhen Ning’s eyes.

Seeing Zhen Ning cry threw Yan Chengfeng into complete panic.

Zhen Ning wasn’t someone who talked much. Even when he cried, he didn’t make a sound. The tears simply rolled down his cheeks in silence, one after another. Watching this, Yan Chengfeng’s heart clenched, as if something was tearing it apart. He froze, not even daring to breathe.

“What’s wrong?” Yan Chengfeng became incoherent. He clumsily tried to wipe the tears from Zhen Ning’s face. “Don’t cry, okay? Did I… do something wrong?”

Zhen Ning still didn’t answer.

“…What’s going on? Say something.”

Yan Chengfeng couldn’t bear to see him cry. His heart ached along with him. He didn’t know whether to move or stay still, so he lowered his head and frantically kissed Zhen Ning’s tear-streaked cheek. “Hey, I know I’m clumsy. Don’t cry, Zhen Ning. Just tell me what’s wrong…”

Zhen Ning didn’t speak for a long time. His eyes were slightly red, and after a while, in a hoarse voice, he finally said, “…Move faster.”

So that was it—he thought Yan Chengfeng was being too slow.

After that, Yan Chengfeng couldn’t even tell whether the wetness on Zhen Ning’s face was from sweat or tears. All he knew was that Zhen Ning’s cheeks and lips were warm to the touch, and kissing them felt damp.

The fresh scent of white tea tentatively blended with the slightly tart aroma of unripe apricot. Bit by bit, the sourness transformed into the sweetness of ripe fruit—its flesh soft and juicy, gradually infused with the fragrance of tea.

Yan Chengfeng was a chatterbox by nature, the type who couldn’t stop talking no matter what he was doing.

His breath was scorching, as if a fire was burning inside his chest. Just looking at Zhen Ning made his heart feel full, leaving him unable to hide his thoughts or words.

He lowered his head, leaned close to Zhen Ning’s ear, and began mumbling incoherently.

He said, “Zhen Ning… your skin is so hot. Everywhere is so hot.”

He said, “Don’t cry. Even your tears are hot. But I think you really like it when I do this…”

He said, “And honestly, I feel so good too.”

With every sentence, Yan Chengfeng’s words grew bolder, more explicit. Zhen Ning couldn’t handle hearing such things—his ears were so red they seemed about to drip blood, and his eyes burned unbearably. He didn’t even have the strength to open his mouth to scold him.

In the end, all he could do was turn his face away, close his eyes, and gasp for breath in uneven intervals.

Yan Chengfeng especially loved seeing Zhen Ning like this—his head tilted to the side, his eyelashes trembling, his demeanor restrained yet deeply emotional.

During breaks, Yan Chengfeng liked to hold Zhen Ning from behind, biting down on the glands at the back of his neck. It made him feel as if, by keeping that piece of flesh between his teeth, Zhen Ning would never be able to escape from him.

It made him feel like some kind of animal.

Pressing his lips to Zhen Ning’s ear, Yan Chengfeng held him tightly, his breathing hot and labored. Murmuring indistinctly, he said, “…I missed you so much, Zhen Ning.”

He felt Zhen Ning stiffen slightly.

Yan Chengfeng was extremely concerned about his pride. This was a common flaw among young, hot-blooded alphas.

Saying “I like you” had already been a rare feat for him, but for the past three years, he had never once mustered the courage to confess just how much he had missed Zhen Ning.

Every day, he had feigned indifference, pretending that acting carefree was the cool thing to do. But the truth was, from the moment Zhen Ning left, he had thought about him constantly.

He had missed him deeply.

And now, finally, he had the chance to say it aloud.

Zhen Ning’s heat lasted four days, and during that time, the two of them barely left the hotel room.

Like a beast experiencing indulgence for the first time, Yan Chengfeng started out clumsy and inexperienced, carefully testing every step. But once he found his rhythm, it was as if he had discovered an entirely new world. He became insatiable, acting as if he wanted to devour Zhen Ning completely, to make him a part of his very being. The concept of stopping simply didn’t exist.

Their kisses mingled with sweat, and at times, Yan Chengfeng felt as if Zhen Ning were melting into his arms.

Even though it was Zhen Ning’s heat, Yan Chengfeng felt as though he needed Zhen Ning even more than Zhen Ning needed him.

During breaks, they went through several bags of chips they had brought along. Yan Chengfeng also ordered plenty of takeout, eagerly trying to feed Zhen Ning himself.

But Zhen Ning, exhausted from Yan Chengfeng’s relentless tossing, refused to even acknowledge him. He turned his back and buried himself completely under the blanket.

Scratching his head, Yan Chengfeng had no choice but to eat Zhen Ning’s share as well. He figured he’d just order a fresh meal for him once he woke up.

But their next meal was delayed for a long time because Zhen Ning’s next round of heat had already begun.

At some point—after who knows how many times Yan Chengfeng had bitten down on Zhen Ning’s glands and refused to let go—Zhen Ning, overwhelmed by a mix of pain and overstimulation, finally reached his limit. He slapped Yan Chengfeng square across the face.

Zhen Ning’s voice trembled as he gasped for breath, cursing, “Yan Chengfeng… are you a dog?”

But he was so physically drained that the slap had no force behind it. Instead of hurting, it felt more like he had deliberately brushed his hand against Yan Chengfeng’s face.

Taking advantage of this, Yan Chengfeng pressed his face into Zhen Ning’s palm. He didn’t say a word, just panted softly while staring straight into his eyes.

His gaze made Zhen Ning feel like something wasn’t right.

Zhen Ning: “You—”

“Mm-hmm, I’m a dog.” Yan Chengfeng kissed Zhen Ning’s palm, then leaned down again, pressing his body back against him. Pleading, he said, “Just one last time, I promise. This is really the last time…”

As the temperature warmed and spring arrived, the new season finally began, with the Summer Split just around the corner.

Teams generally made some personnel adjustments during the break between the Spring and Summer Splits, but the changes weren’t usually as drastic as those made during the transfer period. As a result, most of the starting rosters announced for the Summer Split remained largely unchanged from the Spring Split.

“…And then there’s the gossip about DXG’s coach and data analyst. I heard they just got divorced, so their relationship is super tense, but they still have to work together… Hmm, that’s all for the new season gossip for now.”

The gossip queen, Tao Luo, had already gathered plenty of juicy news for the upcoming season. “Oh, and one more thing. Do you remember ZC’s top laner, Flame? The one called Zhang Shao? Today, ZC officially announced that he’s temporarily out of the lineup due to health issues, and a substitute will be playing in his place for the Summer Split. But I heard from Li Feng that it might actually be because he had a falling-out with ZC’s management, and he’s also struggling with some mental health issues. It’s complicated… hard to say for sure.”

Tao Luo thought for a moment before adding, “Alright, that’s it. No more gossip this time.”

Nearby, Xu Hao sighed. “That guy’s Shadow Assassin plays were insane. It’s a shame. If a top laner can’t handle the pressure mentally… that’s definitely fatal.”

Tao Luo: “Yeah. But to end up benched before even playing a single match in the Summer Split? I bet his performance in training matches wasn’t great. Ah, the harsh life of esports.”

As she spoke, she turned her head absentmindedly, then suddenly widened her eyes at what she saw.

“Octopus Xu…” she whispered, “don’t you think that after this break, Yan Kitchen and Zhen Ning’s relationship… seems even weirder?”

Xu Hao stayed silent for a moment, then feigned ignorance. “I don’t think so. You’re overthinking it.”

But Tao Luo anxiously pointed into the distance. “No, but really, I feel like their relationship is awful now. Look over there—”

Xu Hao: “…?”

Following her finger, Xu Hao looked over, just in time to see Zhen Ning and Yan Chengfeng standing by the water dispenser at the end of the hallway.

Yan Chengfeng was saying something while reaching out to touch Zhen Ning’s shoulder, but Zhen Ning dodged his hand. His expression was cold as he said something in response.

Yan Chengfeng scratched his head, looking guilty.

Zhen Ning said nothing more. He picked up his water and walked toward the training room, his expression unpleasant. His steps were a bit unsteady as he turned to leave.

Yan Chengfeng’s face was complicated. He clearly wanted to reach out and help him but hesitated for a long time before finally putting his hand down. In the end, he just stood there, watching Zhen Ning walk away.

Tao Luo bit her finger, distressed. “Look at those two! Zhen Ning is obviously upset. Did they fight? Can’t they just talk it out?”

Xu Hao’s expression became even more complicated.

Tao Luo was a person of action and couldn’t tolerate such an obvious sign of “internal discord” within the team.

She marched straight over to the absent-minded Yan Chengfeng by the water dispenser, grabbed him, and started scolding him without holding back.

At first, Yan Chengfeng was confused, but as she went on, his gaze gradually turned blank. Finally, he sighed and nodded. “It’s true, this is my fault. He probably… hates me more than anything now.”

Tao Luo was distressed. “Did you say something stupid with that big mouth of yours? Or did you do something wrong? Otherwise, how could Zhen Ning be this angry?”

Yan Chengfeng: “It’s my fault… I went back on my word and broke my promise. He has every reason to be mad at me.”

Tao Luo pointed a finger at him. “If you made a mistake, go apologize to him immediately. As the captain, you need to learn how to reflect on yourself, and more importantly, how to maintain a good relationship with your teammates. Got it?”

Yan Chengfeng pondered for a long time, then eventually nodded. “You’re right. I really went too far this time. I’ll go find him right now.”

Tao Luo watched Yan Chengfeng’s retreating figure with satisfaction and placed her hands on her hips. “Maintaining team relationships is such a heavy responsibility. Good thing there’s a kind-hearted person like me around.”

Xu Hao couldn’t bear to watch anymore and sighed. “…Gossip Queen Tao Luo?”

Tao Luo: “Hmm?”

Xu Hao interrupted her coolly. “Haven’t you always claimed to have the sharpest nose? Just now, didn’t you notice anything unusual about Yan-ge?”

Tao Luo gave Xu Hao a puzzled look.

“The smell on Yan Kitchen?” She sniffed the air. “Let me think… hmm, nothing special? Just his usual tea scent, plus Zhen Ning’s fruity smell—”

Tao Luo suddenly froze in place.

Xu Hao patted her shoulder with a look of pity, then turned and walked toward the training room.
