DL Chapter34

Alienation

They didn’t make it to the end.

Perhaps because he felt guilty for his rough behavior towards the other party just now, Min Zhi’s movements became gentle and slow. Now the atmosphere in the room is not as intense and hot as at the beginning, but a light, sticky, wet heat surges, like soaking in a hot spring pool.

After crying, Fang Fengzhi was exhausted physically and mentally. He became a little drowsy from Min Zhi’s gentle kiss. His tongue, which was entangled with his, unconsciously retracted, and his mouth slowly closed but forced itself to open again.

The kiss stopped, and he slowly separated his lips from Fang Fengzhi’s. He opened his eyes in confusion, and the next second, he saw Min Zhi approaching him, and he closed his eyes reflexively. In the darkness, he felt Min Zhi’s kiss falling on his eyelids again, “Go to sleep.”

Fang Fengzhi’s mind abruptly eased, the grip of his hands around Min Zhi’s waist slackened, and in the very next moment, he slipped into complete unconsciousness.

The Omega’s breath was like a gentle breeze hitting Min Zhi’s face. He was still lying on Fang Fengzhi without moving away. He stared at the sleeping person with a heavy gaze. He felt that he seemed to have gained some weight recently. There was some flesh on his cheeks, and his face was also healthy and rosy.

Somehow, this made Min Zhi suddenly feel hungry, an impulse rising from deep within his belly, forced him to unconsciously want to open his mouth, bite down on Omega’s soft flesh with his sharp teeth, and eat him into his stomach.

Of course he would not do that. He thought, Even if he was a giant beast, he would only hold Fang Fengzhi in his mouth, lick him back and forth, and suck the scent of his body.

Min Zhi’s heart paused. He was displeased by his own obscene and disgusting thoughts, and his face became very ugly.

He stood up and went back to the bedroom without saying a word. The light in the bedroom was still on. Min Zhi lowered his head and glanced at the hot and uncomfortable thing between his legs. It was so hard that it was sticking out of his pants.

Instead of closing the door, he walked to the table expressionlessly and took out a small bottle of medicine. This was a special medicine for Enigma and Alpha. After taking it, one would temporarily lose the sense of smell and would not be affected by the pheromones of Omega. Min Zhi took a few pills, and within two minutes he could no longer smell anything in the air.

He walked out of the room and went to the guest room again.

The Omega slept more peacefully than before, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. Min Zhi approached the bed and, by the soft glow of the bedside lamp, caught sight of the mole on Fang Fengzhi’s eyelid. Though the dim light rendered it slightly blurred, Min Zhi was certain it must be a vivid red at this very moment.

His heart faltered with an irregular rhythm, and his gaze drifted across that flushed face and slightly swollen lips…

The hunger in his stomach came back.

He still thought Fang Fengzhi smelled delicious. At this moment, he couldn’t smell the pheromones, so it definitely wasn’t that scent, it was the kind of fragrance that made someone look irresistibly appetizing, as if they would taste just as good as they looked.

Min Zhi stepped closer, bent down, and just as he had envisioned, pressed his lips against the side of Fang Fengzhi’s face. After a few seconds, he parted them slightly and sank his teeth in with a delicate bite.

“Umm…”

Fang Fengzhi let out a muffled sound but didn’t wake up.

Min Zhi didn’t repeat the motion. Instead, he closed his mouth, but the inexplicable itch lingering on his teeth could only be soothed by biting into the flesh of the Omega. He clenched his teeth tightly, struggling to keep himself under control.

Min Zhi closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It was a long moment before he slowly pulled away, then leaned down again.

Fang Fengzhi had only just fallen asleep and was lying on his side, still undressed from the waist down. Min Zhi tugged the quilt away, revealing his lower body. The place where he was hit was already red and swollen. He sat on the bed and put his hand on it. That place was very hot and soft. At this moment, Min Zhi didn’t think about anything in his mind, he just bent down according to his wish and opened his mouth to suck his buttocks.

His tongue touched the swollen area, its temperature even cooler than the heated skin there. He slowly tightened his teeth and bit the soft and tender flesh. His strength was a little too strong, and his teeth and flesh were squeezed together. Feeling the softness of Fang Fengzhi’s buttocks, Min Zhi felt a momentary relief from the itch in his teeth, but at the same time, it only seemed to make the sensation intensify. Min Zhi’s blood became hot, and he almost left a mark on it. Fang Fengzhi suddenly groaned, kicked his legs a few times, and woke up.

“What’s wrong…?”

He was obviously not awake yet and had no idea what Min Zhi was doing to him.

Min Zhi stood up. Fang Fengzhi’s buttocks were still stained with his marks, but he pulled the quilt over the Omega and covered him with it. He looked calm and said, “It’s nothing.”

When he turned his head, he happened to meet Fang Fengzhi’s confused and sleepy eyes, like a puppy’s.

His heart suddenly jumped.

He stretched out his hands and covered Fang Fengzhi’s eyes, “Go to sleep quickly.”

The strange feeling from the buttocks became insignificant due to sleepiness. Soon, Fang Fengzhi could no longer resist the sleepiness and fell asleep again.

Once his breathing had calmed, Min Zhi finally withdrew his hand. He stared at the Omega for a few seconds, then suddenly straightened up and walked out. Afraid of waking him, his movements were quiet, so quiet that his footsteps made barely a sound. But in truth, his whole body was tense, his jaw clenched tightly, and veins bulged at his temples, making him look almost grim.

He silently closed the door, then suddenly slammed his fist hard against the nearby wall. His breathing was ragged, and his face was so dark it was almost frightening.

His fist stayed tightly clenched; after a brief moment with his eyes shut, he finally opened them once more.

LHe had been telling himself to control it, to restrain himself.

But still, he kept making mistake after mistake.

With a blank expression, he pulled out the cigarettes from the bottom of the drawer. He didn’t smoke much, and the pack was nearly full. He took one out, placed it between his lips, and the lighter made a soft click.

Min Zhi took a puff and turned to walk to the balcony.

Winter was almost here, and the night air was cold. The moment he stepped outside, the chill swept away much of the warmth from his body.

He had always believed that pheromones were the root of all the mistakes.

Now, it seemed that this reason was nothing but a complete lie. He wasn’t interested in Omegas, but even without the pheromones, he still felt desire for Fang Fengzhi.

When did this start?

Was it when he saw the injury on his forehead? When Fang Fengzhi cried out in pain? Or was it even earlier?

He wasn’t sure. By the time he realized it, it was already too late.

Min Zhi lowered his eyes, pressing the half-smoked cigarette into the ashtray. After the smoke was extinguished, the cigarette tip was crushed and couldn’t return to its original form. The warmth on his body seemed to dissipate, but inside, it felt like a fire was still burning.

He still hadn’t forgotten that Fang Fengzhi was Fu Baiqi’s wife.

The next morning when he woke up, Fang Fengzhi’s lower back still ached, and the area between his thighs felt sore and uncomfortable. He noticed a tube of ointment on the bedside table, probably left by Min Zhi.

After applying it, he felt much better.

Neither of them mentioned what happened last night. There was no explanation as to why, without the control of pheromones, they had ended up doing such things.

When Fang Fengzhi went downstairs, he saw that Min Zhi was already ready, holding his bag and walking out. He was half an hour earlier than usual.

He overheard the housekeeper asking, “Sir, aren’t you having breakfast today?”

“En, got some matters to attend to.”

Fang Fengzhi didn’t show any expression. When he returned to the villa in the evening, the housekeeper told him that Min Zhi wouldn’t be home for dinner. Min Zhi didn’t return even late into the night. Fang Fengzhi sat in the living room, going over the materials his colleague had sent him, thinking that Min Zhi probably wouldn’t come back tonight.

As Fang Fengzhi was finishing up his work, he heard the sound of the garage door opening.

Fang Fengzhi froze for a moment. A few minutes later, he heard the sound of the villa door lock clicking, and the hallway light turned on.

The villa seemed suddenly filled with the sound, no longer empty. His eyes were fixed on the screen, but he made no move.

The smell of gunpowder entered the room with its owner. Fang Fengzhi lifted his eyes and saw Min Zhi walking over, stopping a short distance away from him.

“Still working?” The tone was cold and distant, which made Fang Fengzhi pause.

“Huh… en.”

Their eyes met, but Min Zhi looked away first. He raised his hand and looked at the watch on his wrist. “It’s late. Go to bed early.”

After saying that, he turned around and walked upstairs without even looking back.

Fang Fengzhi quickly came to his senses, lowered his eyes, and continued with the work at hand.

He understood what Min Zhi meant.

After that, they kept a distance from each other tacitly. They rarely talked and seldom ate together. Their relationship became more like strangers.

The bite marks on the back of his neck began to heal slowly. Fang Fengzhi could sense Min Zhi’s pheromones gradually fading from his body. At this point, he began to crave it intensely in an effort to hold onto it. Just as someone would feel unwell from a deficiency in certain nutrients, Fang Fengzhi would sometimes develop a fever, especially at night. The absence of pheromones left him restless and unable to sleep.

But he did not ask Min Zhi for help.

Then the pheromones on his body became weaker and weaker, and he could hardly smell any smell of gunpowder.

Min Zhi was returning home from work when he ran into Fang Fengzhi. They didn’t exchange words, just offered each other a polite nod. One after the other, they made their way to the door in silence. What struck him as odd was that despite standing so close to Fang Fengzhi, he could barely detect his own pheromones on him. Alongside the familiar chamomile scent, there were traces of multiple unfamiliar Alpha scents mingled in as well.

He remembered that Fang Fengzhi took the subway back to the villa, so it was not surprising that he was squeezed with other Alphas. Min Zhi narrowed his eyes and looked at the back of Fang Fengzhi’s neck. The gland was hidden in the collar, and only a part of it could be vaguely seen through the gap. The wound was almost healed.

He suddenly stopped.

That feeling came again, his teeth were itchy, and his body was filled with an unbearable hunger.

Fang Fengzhi walked for a distance and found that the footsteps behind him stopped. He turned his head and looked at Min Zhi in confusion, as if he wanted to ask, “Why did you stop?” But in fact, he just glanced at the man behind him, then turned his head and walked back.
