The ML (a Tianqian aka Alpha), was forced to married the MC (a Zhongyong aka Beta). Their rs develops slowly, while the ML initially shows clear dissatisfaction with the marriage, he gradually falls in love with the MC. In the later part of the story, he even becomes so clingy. The novel includes mpreg, and the couple eventually has two adorable twins in the extra chapters (though they don’t get much spotlight). Besides the romance, politics and warfare play a huge part in this story, with intricate power struggles playing a major role in the plot.
