LG Chapter 48

Chapter 48

Translator: She.Wee
Chapter: 48

Noeul gently lowered his gaze. His eyelashes quivered slightly, revealing his pale eyes that stared straight at him. Soon after, lips, slightly cold, came down and pressed precisely against his own.

Even while wriggling uncomfortably as if bothered by his tied hands, Noeul did not pull away from the kiss. Neither did Kyungsoo.

The strange atmosphere lingered, and once again, the sound of bones being ground came from the laptop. Yet, neither paid any attention to it.

The slightly chilly and dry air surrounded them, with only the sound of each other’s movements and heartbeats filling the space.

When Noeul, who had been gently biting Kyungsoo’s lower lip with a soft noise, rested his forehead against his and smiled faintly, Kyungsoo’s heart skipped a beat once more.

“…What a waste of money.”

“Huh? What do you mean…?”

“It’s not working at all.”

That fucking calming pill. I guess it just doesn’t work on me…

Kyungsoo mumbled blankly. Noeul, with a soft smile, kissed him again.

The two naturally toppled onto the bed together. Time didn’t wait for them as the movie continued to play. Until the three-hour-long film ended and the laptop screen turned black with its screensaver, they didn’t leave the bed.

Kyungsoo struggled to open his eyes, feeling that the pillow he was hugging was unusually warm.

Today, it was Noeul who had fallen asleep while holding him.

But his back ached terribly—either from the wrong sleeping position or from Noeul holding him all night.

Rubbing his sore waist with his hand, he gazed down at his lover.

“…Noeul-ah.”

At his small whisper, Noeul didn’t wake up easily.

Kyungsoo stared affectionately at him, gently brushing away the strands of hair that had fallen over his face.

The curtain was open, and a ray of sunlight slanted across Noeul’s cheek, making his light-colored hair shimmer in the light.

Beautiful.

Kyungsoo murmured soundlessly.

Yesterday, he felt like he could kill him, but now, seeing Noeul sleeping so peacefully, his anger had subsided somewhat.

He had never been like this before. Could it be that he was secretly weak to looks?

Grinning absentmindedly while staring at Noeul’s face, Kyungsoo finally raised his head to check the time.

“…Oh crap!”

“…Mmm…”

Noeul stirred slightly.

Kyungsoo shook him to make sure he woke up before shouting,

“Cheon Noeul! Get up now! I’m late!”

Of all things, he had slept at Noeul’s house, and if he didn’t leave right away, he’d be late.

One more tardy mark, and he’d be stuck with school service duties.

Kyungsoo hurriedly kicked away the clothes scattered on the floor, grabbed his uniform draped over the chair, and picked up his bag.

“Hey! I’m leaving first!”

“…Yeah…”

Rubbing his sleepy eyes, Noeul waved a hand lazily.

As he watched Kyungsoo’s back disappear through the front door, Noeul blinked in confusion, wondering why his boyfriend was wearing his school uniform.

Kyungsoo, having sprinted madly, barely made it to the school gate, breathing hard as he proudly passed through.

However, the math teacher’s gaze on him was anything but ordinary.

“You punk, you’re a senior now, and you’re still pulling pranks like this? Even if it’s April Fool’s…”

Who the hell did it this time?

Kyungsoo smirked and turned around—but there was no one else behind him.

Confused, he pointed to himself and asked, “Me?”

The teacher let out a hollow laugh.

“You’re seriously playing dumb?”

“…What do you mean?”

Frowning, Kyungsoo looked down at his clothes—and finally understood.

Except for the school details, his uniform’s color scheme was the same as Noeul’s.

He had grabbed the wrong uniform.

No wonder the pants felt too long on his way here. He’d thought it was just because he had lost weight from not sleeping properly last night.

“Hey, that’s Kim Kyungsoo! That punk even rented a uniform for April Fool’s!”

“Man, live life like Kyungsoo. His pranks are on another level.”

“Earlier, he told the math teacher it was his birthday too, crazy guy.”

“……”

Kyungsoo became the April Fool’s Day hero, the center of attention.

As soon as school ended, Kyungsoo rushed straight to Noeul’s house.

He couldn’t enter without the door code, so he waited outside for about ten minutes until Noeul arrived late.

The moment Noeul saw Kyungsoo wearing his uniform, he burst into laughter.

“Hey, hey, what… Why are you…?”

Noeul was dressed just as usual, not wearing a uniform at all.

Kyungsoo was sure he was wearing Noeul’s clothes, but it wasn’t like Noeul had rushed out to buy a new uniform this morning either.

Pointing at his outfit with a stammer, Kyungsoo asked,

“Why… aren’t you wearing yours…?”

Noeul, squinting his eyes with a grin, answered,

“I have three sets of uniforms.”

“……”

Thinking about how he had been laughed at all day for the sake of others’ amusement, Kyungsoo clenched his fists tightly.

When he tried to change into his gym clothes earlier, girls had snatched his clothes and taken photos of him instead.

The humiliation weighed on him alone, and it was unbearable.

Changing back into his neatly folded clothes in Noeul’s room, Kyungsoo slung his bag over his shoulder and stepped toward the entrance.

Perplexed, Noeul turned to him and asked,

“Hyung, where are you going?”

“Home.”

“Why?”

Kyungsoo’s eyes shifted to the powered-on computer.

It seemed like Noeul assumed he was leaving to play games.

“I’m studying these days.”

“…Why?”

“Not that kind of studying… real studying.”

“So… why?”

Noeul tilted his head in genuine confusion.

Though they often played games together, Noeul remained a top student, unlike him.

And when asked why, Kyungsoo could only mutter,

“Midterms are coming up.”

“But you attend classes at school, right?”

His blood pressure spiked, just as Minjae had predicted.

Clenching his fist tightly, Kyungsoo raised it threateningly, only for Noeul to grab it gently, wrapping his own hand around it.

“No, don’t hold me back. I’m really going to study this time.”

Noeul had good grades, so college was practically a given for him.

But Kyungsoo? Except for math, his grades were abysmal.

Staring at Noeul’s innocent gaze, Kyungsoo blurted out words that would haunt him later.

“…I need to get into college too, you know.”

He only said it out of frustration, wanting to leave quickly.

Noeul thought for a moment before smiling.

“Then maybe we can go to the same school?”

“…I guess so?”

“I’ve always wanted to go to school together and eat lunch with you every day! I even tried transferring to your school, but they wouldn’t allow it.”

“You… tried to transfer?”

“Yeah. Got called to the principal’s office for that.”

The absurdity of it all left Kyungsoo speechless.

With a completely nonchalant expression, he spouted nonsense again. Sometimes, Cheon Noeul’s way of thinking was bizarre beyond imagination. And his ability to put thoughts into action played a part too.

“But I’m not planning to lower my academic goals, you know?”
“…Who told you to? Just don’t get in my way if you can’t help.”
“Why can’t I help? I can support you so you can focus on studying!”
“Yeah, sure.”

Like you could actually help me.

Kyungsoo turned away without hesitation. But that evening, he finally realized what Noeul had meant.

[Chat Log]:
Ji9star: [Breaking News] Sunset put a bounty on Meowie again! But if you kill him, you’re dead meat…
Poseidon Captain: ??
Ji9star: LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
HalloweenEggplant: LMAO what the heckkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Ji9star: This time, it’s not about reporting his location but keeping him pinned down. Apply trade requests or debuffs, LOL.
ParkRoach: What the heck LOL
Ji9star: Couple fight LOL
Me: Fuck off.
Ji9star: Getting used to it now? Meowie’s reactions have gotten so mild LOL.
Poseidon Captain: Hmm… Since Meowie said he’s focusing on studying, this actually works out, doesn’t it?

Just as they said, the moment Kyungsoo logged into the game, dozens of people would swarm him, bombarding him with messages, party invites, and trade requests to the point where he couldn’t make any progress. It was so overwhelming he couldn’t even move to the next map.

And just like that, Kyungsoo was forced to quit gaming for months.

Studying, in a way, was also a habit. Some people instinctively picked up books and studied out of routine, while others, like Kyungsoo, needed considerable time to mentally prepare before they could focus. Still, it seemed that effort did pay off—his grades had improved significantly in the finals and the June mock exams.

But quitting gaming entirely was impossible. Occasionally, he logged in to unwind, but thanks to that damned bounty Cheon Noeul had put on him, he couldn’t play properly. Even logging in with a secondary character didn’t help. And since Noeul had done it with the intention of helping him, he couldn’t exactly tell him to stop.

Yet, every time Kyungsoo saw his face, the urge to punch him melted away completely.

Today, after sitting in the study room for two hours without focusing, Kyungsoo abruptly stood up, grabbed his wallet and phone, and stormed out of the library. His head felt overheated, desperate for a release from all the pent-up stress.

Since it was vacation, the PC cafés were packed. After walking a bit more, he finally found a spot and, out of habit, double-clicked the Illusion game icon—then shook his head.

There was no point. He wouldn’t even make it past the next map, and he wasn’t desperate enough to buy a new character slot. Besides, if Noeul happened to be online first, he’d probably send a message like:
“Hyung, what are you doing here? ㅇㅅㅇ”
Subtly pressuring him to log out.

“…Cheon Noeul, you bastard.”

Kyungsoo gritted his teeth and muttered to himself. So, he decided to play the FPS shooting game he used to enjoy with his friends. Before logging in, he went to the homepage and reset his nickname.

“Please set your account nickname.”

Tapping his mouse with his fingers, Kyungsoo thought for a moment before setting his nickname to “Sunset.” Since he was playing to relieve stress, he figured that shooting enemies and getting cursed at under Noeul’s name would help him vent his frustrations even more efficiently.

In this game, players were divided into skill-based ranks, and the system matched players randomly with those of similar levels. The ranks ranged from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, to Grand Master. Since he only played occasionally to help his friends, his rank remained at Platinum.

He had once reached the Master rank back when he played more seriously… Reminiscing about the past, Kyungsoo clicked the random match button.

Apparently, several new characters had been released since he last played—six unfamiliar ones appeared on the selection screen. One of them, a character wielding a massive bazooka, caught his interest. When he selected the character, someone spoke in the team chat.

[RedOcean: Sunshit out;]
[Sunset: ? Do you know me??]
[RedOcean: How would I know you? LOL. Why are you throwing the match from the start?]

The mention of “Sunshit” reminded Kyungsoo of Noeul’s nickname, “Sunset.” However, it seemed like the player didn’t actually know him. Kyungsoo realized he had chosen a character named “Thunder,” explaining the misunderstanding.

[PpyongHammerBangBang: Why isn’t anyone playing healer? Someone pick healer, please;;]
[Sunset: Stop whining and play it yourself.]
[PpyongHammerBangBang: Sunset, shut up.]

Since they were cursing Noeul, not him, Kyungsoo felt no sting from the insult. Smirking, he ignored PpyongHammerBangBang’s words. Was this character really that bad? Curious, he tested out the character’s attack in the waiting area. The speed was slow, but the feel of the bazooka’s impact was satisfying.

[ACHOO: LOL, I’m throwing too.]
[PpyongHammerBangBang: Ugh;;;]

Following Kyungsoo’s lead, other teammates also began changing characters randomly.

“The gate has opened. Charge into the battlefield!”

Fortunately, it was a familiar map. Kyungsoo followed RedOcean closely and turned on team voice chat, putting on his headset.

– Ugh, our team has a Thunder.
– Hey, switch! Who picks Sunshit in Deathmatch? F.
– Sunset, go die.

Since it wasn’t a ranked match, Kyungsoo felt no need to take their words seriously. This was a Team Deathmatch—winning only required staying alive and killing the most enemies.

[Sunset: If I don’t die, it’s fine, right?]
[RedOcean: Are you even good at aiming? Never seen anyone play Thunder well.]
[Sunset: Nah, first time LOL.]

– Hahaha, our Noeul said it’s his first time playing.
– Die! Stop getting in the way and just die!

[Sunset: Why tell me to die without even giving me a chance?]
[PpyongHammerBangBang: Sunset, just quit the game and go free dive in the Han River, LOL.]
[RedOcean: Haha, perfect since it’s hot, huh? LOL.]

Kyungsoo realized Thunder was mainly for long-range attacks, but the attack speed was painfully slow. After getting killed once, he began to consider switching characters as the team kept blaming him.

– Hey, Sunset, you fucker! We need a healer! Go pick healer!

[Sunset: ㅗ]

Far from relieving stress, it was only piling up. Hearing Noeul’s name being thrown around so carelessly felt wrong. Kyungsoo regretted his decision—he shouldn’t have used Noeul’s name. Now, Noeul was being insulted for no reason.

Just then, he spotted the enemy team rushing in from the opposite side. Fortunately, they hadn’t noticed him yet. Kyungsoo quickly took cover inside a building, climbed to the second floor, and began charging his ultimate ability. Targeting the heads of the moving enemies, he launched his fully charged attack.

Boom! The bomb exploded, sending the enemies flying.

“BbeolBbeolBbeol killed (+100).”
“POLIG killed (+93).”

Before his position could be discovered, he jumped down and hid behind a barrier. Testing the skills further, he found that while the speed was slow, the heavy impact made the character satisfying to play—as long as he aimed carefully.

“ALL K killed (+100).”
[Sunset: GG.]

– What? You said it was your first time playing…
– There’s a camper hiding in the bushes!

In a Team Deathmatch where the goal was to reach 50 kills first, Kyungsoo alone had already secured 9 consecutive kills. Even after he was finally taken down, the mood shifted. The same players who had cursed Noeul earlier were now calling him “hyung-nim” and giving him callouts about the enemy’s location.

Still, Kyungsoo decided not to use Thunder anymore. Instead, he switched to a healer character, Illusion’s Moon Fairy, who floated around the battlefield, healing allies. Dodging attacks gracefully, he kept the team’s health up.

– Hey, heal!
[PpyongHammerBangBang: Heal me, I’m low!]
[Sunset: ㅗ]
[PpyongHammerBangBang: ?? Why?]
[Sunset: You insulted Sunset earlier.]
[RedOcean: Sunset?
[PpyongHammerBangBang: Ew, third-person speech, gross.]

Kyungsoo refused to heal only the players who had insulted Noeul. With half the team being ignored, the match ended in defeat as the opposing team reached 50 kills first.

After the game, Kyungsoo reported every player who had made offensive remarks. He leaned back in his chair, feeling unsettled.

He thought he’d feel better hearing Noeul’s name cursed out loud, but it was more upsetting than expected.
Just moments ago, he had been cursing Noeul in his own head. But hearing strangers join in felt completely different.

Suddenly, he wanted to see Noeul.

“It’s hot… Should I just study in his room today?”

Muttering to himself, Kyungsoo got up from his seat earlier than usual.

—It was only much later that Noeul would find out about the nickname and burst into excitement, practically tackling him in amusement.

The atmosphere at school was suffocating as CSAT approached. Unlike the pale, anxious faces around him, Kyungsoo remained relaxed. Some resented his calm demeanor, especially since he was faring so well.

Even Kwon Tae-yeol, who had never taken studying seriously, was now intensely focused on memorizing words and solving problems.

The one-year bet with Noeul had already expired several months ago. However, neither Noeul nor Kyungsoo mentioned it at all. On weekdays, they only exchanged messages, while on weekends, they either went to the library together or spent time at Noeul’s house.

Whenever Kyungsoo struggled with a problem he couldn’t understand, Noeul would give him a hint, adding a playful condition. Since the conditions were never unreasonable, Kyungsoo had never once refused. Compared to his other friends, Kyungsoo’s third year of high school was relatively calm and peaceful.

However, there were times when he questioned whether this was truly right. Of course, being with Noeul made time fly, and he enjoyed it, but… both he and Noeul were biologically and mentally male. Though he never mentioned it aloud, it was a thought that crossed his mind occasionally whenever their bodies pressed together.

“Just confess after the college entrance exams. What’s the point of dating now?”
“Why would I confess? I should make him confess to me.”

Hearing the conversation from the back of the quiet classroom, Kyungsoo scratched his cheek and rested his chin on his hand, lost in thought.

“Besides, if you think about it… we’re not even really dating yet.”

Sure, his feelings for Noeul were growing stronger, but then again, maybe it was just the stress of exam preparations. Maybe it was the need for emotional support or even just physical relief. Despite being far less stressed than others, Kyungsoo still found himself deeply troubled by these thoughts.

A few days later, he accidentally discovered two of his friends kissing in the gym storage room.

“What the hell—Han Do-young and Kwon Tae-yeol?!”

His mind went blank. Were there really other guys kissing each other besides him and Noeul? And so close by? He hadn’t noticed anything before. Even when the three of them hung out together, there was never any sign of it! Weren’t they childhood friends? Eyes wide in shock, Kyungsoo stared at the scene, unable to process what he was seeing. Suddenly, his gaze met Do-young’s.

“…….”
“…….”

What the hell are you guys doing here? What if someone sees you…?

Kyungsoo quietly backed away, closing the door and fleeing as fast as he could.

After that incident, Do-young never approached him first. Sometimes, Kyungsoo felt like he was being watched, but Do-young never said anything. Kyungsoo, too, couldn’t bring himself to approach Do-young or Tae-yeol. It was hard to accept that his friends were in that kind of relationship.

…Were they also losing their minds from exam stress like him? Kissing when bored, and if things heated up, even going further?

Kyungsoo, who had been convincing himself that his own feelings were just stress-related, felt deeply disturbed, like he had witnessed his parents’ intimate moments. It was uncomfortable enough that he avoided thinking about it too deeply.

A few days later, Kyungsoo called Do-young out and hesitantly asked:
“Are you guys… dating? Or are you just, you know… doing it?”

Do-young, who had been calmly staring at him, answered, “We’re dating.”

Kyungsoo’s jaw dropped.
What, already? Did they get further than me and Noeul?!

“…Since when?”
“What do you mean ‘just kissing’? That’s weird as hell.”

“…….”

Kyungsoo felt like the weird one. And by extension, Noeul too.

It really was strange, kissing without even being in a relationship.

Spending time with someone who celebrated every single anniversary—from the day of their first kiss, the day they met, the day they first got into a fight, and even the day they first made love—Kyungsoo had forgotten what being “normal” meant. The calendar on Noeul’s desk was filled with red markings, noting every special day.

“…….”

Dating before the college entrance exams was just a distraction, right? It would only interfere with studying.

Kyungsoo decided that after the exams, he would confess to Noeul and admit he had lost their bet.

The air was so cold that every breath came out white. It was freezing enough to feel like his entire body would turn numb—of all days, why did the exam day have to be like this?

“Did you pack your markers? What about your exam ticket?”
“Yes, I did.”
“Regular markers aren’t allowed. They have to be the special computer-readable kind. Let me check.”
“Of course I know! Do I look stupid?”

“And, um… here, take this blanket in case it gets too cold later…”

Kyungsoo accepted the sky-blue blanket Noeul handed him. He felt fine, but Noeul had been fidgeting nervously all week, as if he were the one taking the test instead.

Kyungsoo reached out and gently patted Noeul’s head to reassure him. Noeul, still fiddling with Kyungsoo’s uniform tie, asked cautiously,
“Aren’t you nervous? Should I get you some calming pills…?”

“No way. I hate those things.”

Thinking back to that awful night, Kyungsoo bit his lip in frustration but soon ruffled Noeul’s hair playfully and grinned. Seeing Kyungsoo so relaxed seemed to finally ease Noeul’s worries a bit.

Kyungsoo then took off his scarf and wrapped it around Noeul’s neck instead.
“I’m going. Wait for me.”

Noeul grabbed his hand, his face visibly calmer now, and gave him a bright, beautiful smile.

“I’ll be waiting for you, Kyungsoo hyung.”

That sounded much better than a simple “Good luck.”

Kyungsoo smiled faintly and replied,
“…Okay.”

“I was going to give you my good luck charm, but it’s the one you gave me, so I left it at home. I was scared it might get damaged.”

“What was it?”

“A letter.”

“Oh, that? I don’t need it.”

Kyungsoo thought that for Noeul’s birthday in a few months, he should write a proper letter instead of something like, “Happy birthday, me.”

“I’ll give you all my luck for a week. I hope you get everything right!”

“Why just a week? Give me a month’s worth.”

“…No. I need to save some for the Christmas loot box next week.”

This punk. He could’ve at least pretended, but instead, he was annoying.

Kyungsoo smirked and flicked Noeul’s forehead. Noeul just laughed, as if even being flicked felt good. His cheeks were bright red from the cold. Kyungsoo adjusted Noeul’s scarf a bit higher and said,

“Go home. You can play games if you want.”

“Huh?”

“No, play the game. If you don’t, you’ll die.”

“…Hyung, are you mad? What’s wrong all of a sudden?”

He wasn’t mad at all. Seeing Noeul’s suddenly serious expression, Kyungsoo had to hold back the laughter threatening to escape.

“I’ll call you as soon as it’s over.”

“Yes! Call me first!”

Noeul, whose expression had brightened instantly, buried his face in the white scarf and waved his hand. Kyungsoo, feeling reluctant to part, slowly walked away, blending into the crowd of students entering the school gates.

He hadn’t felt nervous at all, but the moment the proctor entered the assigned classroom, his fingers stiffened. The contents of the open textbook blurred in front of his eyes. He memorized the page as if taking a photo and strangely enough, the exam questions seemed to match everything he’d just reviewed. For the ones he didn’t know, he counted the answer choices and picked the missing number.

“Kyungsoo, how was it?”

“Dunno.”

He had answered everything he knew but hadn’t checked his answers. Now, it all depended on how many guesses were right.

“Heading home? Let’s go together.”

“No, I have somewhere to go. You go ahead.”

Sending his friends off first, Kyungsoo started walking toward Noeul’s house. The bus would be crowded, and it would only take 30 minutes on foot. Plus, there was a PC café along the way.

Stopping at the PC café closest to Noeul’s house, he took a seat, pulled out his exam slip from his bag, and called Noeul.

-Hyung!

“It’s done. You’re the first person I’m calling.”

Hearing Noeul’s giddy laugh on the other end, Kyungsoo balanced his phone on his shoulder while downloading the PDF file for the answer sheet and began checking his scores.

-Where are you now?

“….”

-Hyung?

“…I got everything right in Korean.”

-What? You? No way.

He had guessed an entire passage in the non-fiction section… Now, he was more nervous than when taking the test. His trembling fingers alternated between the computer screen and the back of his exam slip.

“….”

How was this possible? The questions he’d solved were wrong, yet his guesses were all correct. Kyungsoo blinked dumbly.

“I’ll give you all my luck for a week. I hope you get everything right!”

No way… Suddenly, goosebumps rose on his arms. He shivered and exhaled.

-Hyung?

Without answering, Kyungsoo hung up and clicked the game icon, logging in. The Christmas season update had just changed the loading screen illustration.

[Player ‘MeowieMeowMeow’ has logged into the game.]

[Couple] MeowieMeowMeow: Cancel the reward.
[Couple] Sunset: ㅇㅅㅇ!!!

Kyungsoo kept clicking to decline the endless invites. Instead of canceling the reward, Noeul moved his character into the guild zone and swung his weapon wildly around Kyungsoo’s avatar.

[Global] Sunset: What are you all doing? Stop bothering Meowie! ㅇㅅㅇ

His attacks miraculously avoided only Kyungsoo, causing him to chuckle. The familiar players who had gathered backed off.

[Global] Hamster: ?
[Global] Snowflower: Is he crazy…?
[Global] Aslen: Must be dementia LOL.
[Global] Anamato: LOL Dementia LMFAOO

The mage character, AppleCookie, was still poking around and accidentally swung their staff at Kyungsoo. Luckily, it was a miss, but Noeul didn’t even seem to care about the damage. He immediately knocked AppleCookie out and added,

[Global] Sunset: I can offer condolence money ㅇㅅㅇ.

Then, Noeul used a money-throwing skill, scattering coins all over the area.

[Global] AppleCookie: Starting your toxic behavior again? Got your cooldown back?

[Server] Snowflower: Everyone, the Sunset Event Round 3 is officially over!

Kyungsoo opened the couple window. They had been eligible for the in-game wedding ceremony for a long time but kept putting it off. Without hesitation, he clicked the heart-shaped “Propose” button.

‘Please enter your heartfelt proposal message!’

Proposal message? Kyungsoo didn’t hesitate. He placed his hands on the keyboard. His avatar, MeowieMeowMeow, knelt before Sunset.

♡ MeowieMeowMeow: Cheon Noeul, I lost. Marry me. ♡

[Global] Hamster: Is this guy hacked???
[Guild] PoseidonCaptain: No way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Guild] HalloweenEggplant: Turn down the volume, Guild Master.

A moment later, Noeul accepted with a message.

“……Ah.”

Kyungsoo tried to turn off the guild chat but accidentally hit the wrong tab again.

[Server] Sunset: LOLLLLL Sure ㅇㅅㅇ

Who even responds on server mic like that… Kyungsoo let out a short sigh, caught between laughter and frustration, his expression complicated.

[Guild] PoseidonCaptain: T_T
[Guild] ParkRoach: Ack, finally LOLLLLL
[Guild] PeaPea: Seriously, make sure to PvP for real this time, please. If you forget like last time, I won’t let it slide TT
[Guild] MeowieMeowMeow: It was an accident T^T

[Guild] ParkRoach: I’m broke, so I’ll just watchㅜ
[Guild] PoseidonCaptain: What is thisㅠ Wedding gifts?TT
[Guild] neutaaaa: Ah, wedding gifts LOLLLLL

Kyungsoo moved to the palace wedding hall with Noeul. Though uninvited, Melody and Poseidon’s guild members were quietly sitting among the guests, waving their weapons around. There were also random strangers who came just for buffs, and a few players Kyungsoo vaguely recognized from passing by.

[Couple] Sunset: Hyung, we’re really dating now!!!
[Couple] MeowieMeowMeow: Got it, LOL
[Couple] Sunset: I win! ㅇㅅㅇ
[Couple] MeowieMeowMeow: Congrats congrats.

The wedding was full of chaos. A group of players barged in, opposing the marriage, something unheard of in the history of Illusion weddings. Noeul, gritting his teeth, vowed to submit a request to introduce PvP even in public maps and wedding venues.

When it came to Noeul, things never went smoothly. Even setting aside all the incidents, just dealing with Cheon Noeul alone was overwhelming. He was loud, stubborn, reckless, a hassle… and, also… cute. Kyungsoo couldn’t hold back his laughter anymore as Noeul excitedly called him on the phone.

The future seemed daunting, but he was charming enough for Kyungsoo to embrace all the chaos that came with it.

    1. shewee says:

  10. Polly says:

Everything ended up fine, but the sleepover I’d been hoping for, which was on par with the Guild Member Next Door cake, was very disappointing… To be honest I’m ready to cry ттттттттттт

  11. Cami says:

Disculpa, hoy sale nuevo capitulo o terminó ya😭?

  12. Ceridwen says:

Man this chapter gave me whiplash 😬 they seriously passed a whole year with only kissing?! And I’m confused about the sleepover, they seemed like they were building up to them “doing it,” but then suddenly they just did a huge time jump? Was his back hurting the next day supposed to indicate they actually did sleep together and the author simply chose not to describe it? Feels like they would have at least mentioned something about it in the year if that was so.

I’ve read this entire story in less than a week after I read all the Guild Member pages I could find then the novel chapters that haven’t been drawn as comic pages yet, so maybe that’s why this feels fast… Sunset is toxic AF (though there’s something enticing about a “wild beast” mmorpg god – tier griefer being tamed by lOvE) but I really want to see them actually be together after all that lead up 😭 ugh, I really have to get some work done now, but I’ll be looking forward to reading the side stories before bed tonight, though I can see there are only a few chapters left…

    1. shewee says:

Ikr! I was confused too! I had checked multiple times but this is how it was in the raws. However the side stories are not this simple. Hehe

  13. Mxngo says:

NO, THIS CAN’T BE YET OVER! NOT RIGHT AFTER MY EXAMS, THIS IS SO UNFAIR 😭😭 MY BABIIIIIIEEEEESSS!!!!

  14. Ceridwen says:

A thought I just had while rereading the whole story (yes, I’m obsessed)… I hope the Poseidon guild members figured out Nouel isn’t actually an elementary school student, otherwise the idea of him being in a relationship with Kyungsoo suddenly becomes a lot creepier 😅😅😅
