SDVPP Chapter 76

Return

After the heavy snowfall came a bright, sunny day. The morning light filtered through the gap in the curtains and fell onto the bed.

The thick quilt was messily strewn about. Someone’s pajamas had half fallen onto the floor, while the other half was tangled up in the bedding.

Chi Han was woken up by the glare of the light. He sluggishly opened his eyes and half-squinted at the time.

Nine o’clock…

Chi Han yawned. The spot down there felt strangely swollen and sore for some reason. He burrowed back into the warm quilt, and when his legs moved, he only realized that something didn’t feel quite right.

Why did it feel like something was missing down there??

Chi Han shivered. Unwilling to give up, he reached down to feel around.

Chi Han: “……”

Where did his big pair of underwear go?!!

And not only did he touch his own thing, but he seemed to have touched someone else’s, too.

Chi Han’s whole body stiffened, drawing in a sharp breath: “!!!”

Fortunately, he’d pulled his hand back the moment he made contact. The person behind him was still pressed up against the back of his neck, their breathing soft and shallow.

Chi Han was now completely wide awake. Everything that had happened after he got drunk last night played back in his mind like a movie, slowly unfolding—and he even remembered all the details clearly.

It was he who had pulled Rong Xu onto the bed.

It was he who had kissed him and wouldn’t let go.

And it was still him!

He even stripped the man’s pants off!

Chi Han covered his head with the quilt and screamed silently, wishing he could go back and give himself a brutal beating for what he did last night.

The main thing was—last night, he had been way too embarrassing. It was one thing to take the initiative and make a move, but he even chickened out at the critical moment, crying and covering his butt while begging Rong Xu to wait.

The problem was, Rong Xu actually did feel sorry for him and really didn’t go any further. He had only pulled Chi Han under him and gave him a few hard bites to vent his frustration.

Chi Han still remembered Rong Xu’s expression from that time.

Too scary. He looked like he could swallow someone whole.

But…

Chi Han peeked his eyes out from the quilt and couldn’t help but carefully recall the experience.

As long as the backside wasn’t touched, he really did feel great. He even kind of wanted to do it again.

The tips of Chi Han’s ears burned hot. He quietly turned around.

The bare skin brushing against each other made it hard not to react.

Rong Xu’s palm was still resting on his waist. The warmth of that hand pressed against his lower abdomen. When Chi Han turned over, that same hand shifted position—now landing squarely on his butt.

Chi Han held his breath and bit his lip, carefully reaching out to grasp Rong Xu’s wrist, trying to lift that hand away.

The jade dice on Rong Xu’s wrist rolled back and forth with the movement. Chi Han quickly reached out to grab it. In another second, it would’ve rolled somewhere very awkward.

Just then, the hand that had nearly been pulled away suddenly pressed down again. The clearly defined five fingers even curved inward, gently kneading him once.

Chi Han’s entire body went numb. He looked up and crashed straight into a pair of ink-dark eyes, so intense it was like the smoldering fire inside nearly set him aflame.

Although they didn’t go all the way last night, Rong Xu still tossed and turned for a long time.

Chi Han had ended up crying himself to sleep.

Now, just thinking about that scene made his whole body burn with heat.

“Chi Han, do you still remember last night?”

Rong Xu applied a bit of pressure with his hand, and the two of them were suddenly pressed tightly together.

They were both very much awake.

Chi Han’s face turned bright red. He pressed his palm against Rong Xu’s shoulder, his gaze evasive, and replied—completely ignoring his conscience—“N-no, I don’t remember!”

Rong Xu propped himself up, the bluish-purple bite marks on his neck fully exposed.

Chi Han instantly went silent.

He did that???

Rong Xu was bathed entirely in the morning light. Even his hair seemed to shimmer, like an ethereal immortal who had stepped out of a painting—cold and aloof—only to be entangled by love and fall into the mortal world.

Chi Han looked at Rong Xu, a bit overcome with emotion, eyes full of infatuation.

The immortal’s thin lips parted slightly:

“Chi Han, you don’t remember?”

“You cried the entire night yesterday.”

Aaaahhhh!!!

Click—a crisp sound. The filter shattered completely.

Chi Han reached out to cover Rong Xu’s mouth, but Rong Xu’s eyes held a smile. He lightly licked Chi Han’s palm, the corners of his eyes laced with affection, like an enchanting spirit capable of stealing one’s soul.

Chi Han felt a sudden wetness in his palm, and his mind went completely blank.

Who could possibly endure this?!

Rong Xu adored the way Chi Han’s eyes were filled with only him. He lowered his head and kissed from the corner of Chi Han’s lips to the tip of his nose, finally stopping behind his ear—the most sensitive spot on Chi Han’s body.

“Chi Han, help me…”

Rong Xu gently bit that soft patch of skin behind his ear, locking him tightly in his embrace. His voice gradually dropped lower: “It hurts here…”

By the time the two had worn themselves out, the brilliant sunlight had nearly filled the entire room.

Chi Han’s face was flushed red, the bed a complete mess, with only the blanket covering him from the lower abdomen down.

Rong Xu lifted the blanket and got out of bed. His long, straight legs stepped onto the carpet as he reached into the wardrobe and took out a pair of black underwear, bending down to pull them up from his ankles.

Chi Han’s gaze followed that strip of black fabric, starting from the fair calves, to the well-proportioned thighs, and finally…

Finally, he couldn’t help but shut his eyes. When he opened them again, Rong Xu had already put on a pair of silk pajama pants.

Chi Han suddenly felt a trace of disappointment.

Realizing that, he was startled. He slapped his face hard a few times and quickly forced the thought out of his mind.

Rong Xu, wearing only pajama pants and barefoot, got back on the bed and leaned over to look at Chi Han. “What’s wrong? Is your head hurting?”

From Chi Han’s angle, he was looking directly at Rong Xu’s firm abs, rising and falling with his every movement.

Chi Han pinched his own stomach. While there wasn’t much fat, his abs definitely weren’t that defined.

He couldn’t resist and reached out to touch them a few times.

…They felt pretty nice.

Rong Xu’s expression instantly turned dangerous. He raised his hand and pinned Chi Han’s wrist down beside his ear.

Chi Han really couldn’t take any more. One more round and he was going to need an herbal tonic just to survive.

With a clever twist, he broke free from Rong Xu’s hand, dragged the blanket with him, and scooted all the way to the innermost edge of the bed, pointing and accusing: “The bedsheet’s all dirty because of you!”

Rong Xu rubbed his fingertips along the sheet. It still seemed to hold some of Chi Han’s warmth. Seeing Chi Han pretending to be fierce made him chuckle softly. “I’ll change it.”

“And the blanket too! That’s stained!”

“Mhm, okay.”

“And my pajamas!”

“Mhm.”

Rong Xu picked up the clothes on the floor and walked a few steps toward the bathroom. Then, as if remembering something, he turned back and chuckled lowly. “But Chi Han, it seems like you were the one who made more of the mess last night.”

Chi Han froze. The next second, shame and rage surged up together. He just wanted to slam his head into the wall and die.

Aaaaahhhh!!

He should’ve known all along. Rong Xu was totally one of those white-on-the-outside, black-on-the-inside sesame rice dumplings!!

He was so mad he could explode!

After the New Year, the two of them had a few wonderful days together.

They walked the dog in the morning, spent the day going out or grilling at home, and snuggled up at night playing games and watching movies. It couldn’t have been more comfortable or carefree.

On the seventh day of the new year, Rong Xu booked his plane ticket. Tomorrow, he would begin his final round of rehabilitation training.

Unlike their parting a year ago, this time, Chi Han was by his side.

In the airport terminal, people bustled about—most of them dragging luggage and holding tickets, rushing along with anxious expressions.

Geng Xue had planned a post-New Year trip with her roommates. At the moment, she was carrying her suitcase and going through security.

She held her arms out for the staff to scan her for any contraband. Her gaze happened to drift toward the boarding gate in the distance.

And she froze instantly.

Two boys stood very close together, the taller one gently fixing the collar of the other’s shirt. Then he leaned down and planted a soft kiss on his cheek. The boy who was kissed reached up and grabbed the other’s hand, fingers interlocked tightly.

Even through the crowd, the intimacy between them was unmistakable.

Geng Xue recognized them at a glance—it was Chi Han and Rong Xu.

She covered her mouth, and her eyes turned red in an instant.

Back when they had just entered their final year of high school, Rong Xu had taken a leave of absence. Geng Xue had felt down for a long time. She thought the two of them were really going to be separated.

Now, catching sight of this scene out of nowhere, the knot she’d held in her heart for a whole year suddenly unraveled.

It was so wonderful.

They hadn’t been separated after all.

Holding back tears, Geng Xue picked up her suitcase and sat down on a waiting bench to collect herself.

She took out her phone, opened WeChat, and sent Chi Han a message:

[Chi Han, you have to be happy!]

A few seconds later, her phone buzzed with a reply from him.

Chi Han: [Thank you. I’m really happy right now.]

It was as if sand had gotten into her eyes. Geng Xue couldn’t help but cry while smiling. She quickly pulled out a tissue to wipe her face clean and took a deep breath.

So good.

They were still together.

She grabbed her suitcase and strode toward the boarding gate, her heart feeling clear and bright.
