ATIMFL – Chapter 2

Peaches Cloud Mist Tea

The taxi driver asked, “Where to?”

“Tianshui International.”

Li Chu blurted it out, then paused for a moment.

This was what popped into her head when she thought of her residence, even the specific unit and room number were crystal clear. But apart from that, everything else was still blank.

The taxi driver didn’t notice her strange expression. He was probably a beta, unable to smell the scent on her, and didn’t give her any odd looks.

Li Chu breathed a sigh of relief and couldn’t help but touch the back of her neck, which was a little sore.

Having read the entire novel, she naturally knew what this situation was. She took a photo with her phone, and when she saw the bite marks on it, her hand couldn’t help but tremble slightly.

Li Chu felt completely overwhelmed. This feeling of holding the script, only to find the beginning drastically changed, felt even more difficult than starting a game with nothing and having to grind for everything.

After reaching her destination, Li Chu sprinted all the way home and then collapsed onto her large bed, continuing to feel overwhelmed.

Her body and mind were exhausted, but the soreness on the side of her leg and the swelling between her thighs made her very uncomfortable. She still managed to drag herself up and go to the bathroom for a shower.

The bathroom mirror clearly reflected the marks on her body. Li Chu almost couldn’t catch her breath. The female lead looked like such a gentle, classic beauty, why did she like biting people so much!

She didn’t dare look anymore, and was too embarrassed to look at the area between her thighs. She rinsed away the stickiness between her legs and quickly washed herself clean.

Li Chu collapsed onto the bed, wrapping herself in the blanket. She wanted to sort out the current situation, but the female lead turning into an Alpha and giving her a temporary mark gave her a massive headache.

She sniffled and drowsily fell asleep.

While she was deep asleep, over on the other side, Ning Manqing’s agent had already broken down the door.

Ran Yanru knew Ning Manqing had come for an appointment. But when she couldn’t contact Ning Manqing all night and the next morning, she rushed over.

Her expression changed drastically the moment she entered, and she stopped the assistant she brought with her outside. She was an Alpha, so she could naturally smell the thick, intertwined scents of Alpha and Omega pheromones in the room. She initially thought she’d gone to the wrong place, but seeing Ning Manqing lying on the bed, she knew she hadn’t.

A surge of anger rose in her chest. The thought of Ning Manqing suddenly differentiating and being taken advantage of by some Alpha made her want to kill someone.

She approached with a heavy heart, then her expression gradually turned strange.

Wait a minute… It seemed like her own artist and friend had differentiated into an Alpha and taken advantage of some Omega?

Ah, this… Ran Yanru looked at Ning Manqing with a heavy heart, her eyes conveying her condemnation.

I never thought you were this kind of person!

The teasing mood lasted only a moment. When Ran Yanru found that Ning Manqing couldn’t be woken up and had a high fever, she immediately helped her get dressed and rushed her to the hospital.

Li Chu slept from morning until evening, but her sleep wasn’t peaceful. The harsh screech of tires gripping the road and the loud crash of vehicles colliding jolted her awake, her forehead covered in cold sweat.

It took her a while to calm down and remember that she had transmigrated into the book. The memories from before she fell asleep resurfaced, and along with them came the original owner’s memories.

Regarding her background, the original owner was somewhat unfortunate.

Her father had an accident at a construction site when she was four, and she and her older brother were raised by their mother. Although conditions were tough when they were young, her brother dropped out of junior high school to work and help support the family, so she didn’t have too difficult a time.

But during her third year of high school, her brother incurred gambling debts outside, came back to take some of the family’s savings, and then ran off, never to be contacted again, leaving her and her mother to face the creditors.

The creditors were all neighbors from their hometown. Considering the original owner was in her final year of high school and about to take the college entrance exams, and her mother kept pleading with them, they didn’t push too hard. Nevertheless, the original owner was still greatly affected. Her grades were already average, and her scores barely got her into a provincial teacher’s training college.

The original owner didn’t really like studying. She didn’t want to repeat the year and just wanted to finish college quickly, then work to earn money and pay off the debts. She started school early; during her third-year internship, she had just turned twenty.

She was working as an intern teacher at a rural elementary school, and it was here she encountered a turning point in her life.

Director Yan Xing was a relatively well-known director in the industry. In a film he was shooting, there was a role for the second female lead, a rural female teacher. He hadn’t found a suitable actress, feeling none fit the image he wanted. But upon seeing the original owner, he immediately decided it had to be her, even though she was an outsider to the entertainment circle.

Becoming a star was naturally much better than being a rural teacher. To be honest, she didn’t have much acting skill, but in that movie, she was essentially playing herself. So after the film was released, she gained some fans, was signed by her current company, and officially entered the entertainment circle.

But apart from that movie, her performances in several other TV dramas were mediocre. However, she had high aspirations. She was jealous of Ning Manqing and considered her a lifelong rival because, in that initial film, Ning Manqing, also a complete newcomer, played the female lead. Afterward, Ning Manqing steadily built her career with every role, regardless of its size, earning a good reputation. In comparison, the original Li Chu seemed utterly mediocre.

This time, she drugged Ning Manqing and prepared to take photos, planning to threaten Ning Manqing into giving up the female lead role in a movie she had. Her calculations were meticulous: not only could she threaten for this resource, but she could also threaten for others, like variety shows, and simultaneously leech off Ning Manqing’s popularity by tying their names together.

After digesting these memories, Li Chu felt that this person truly deserved her fate as cannon fodder.

Not only did she have a bad character, resorting to despicable means to threaten people, but she was also quite stupid. Would those resources have the same effect in her hands as in Ning Manqing’s? Instead of thinking about improving her acting skills, she focused on these crooked ways. Who else would flop if not her? Fortunately, she hadn’t thought of using the ‘casting couch’, otherwise Li Chu would have an even bigger headache.

However… in the original owner’s memories, she was a Beta. Why had she become an Omega?

This question was as unanswerable as why Ning Manqing had differentiated into an Alpha. Li Chu decided not to dwell on it.

Li Chu thought about acting skills and felt a bit worried.

In her previous life, she was just a makeup artist with broad interests. Although she was somewhat adjacent to the entertainment circle, she had never received relevant training.

The faint stinging pain on the back of her neck reminded her of how things had gone off track. She banged her head on the bed in frustration.

In the original plot, Ning Manqing differentiated into an Omega and was perfectly compatible with the male lead. They fell in love while advancing their acting careers; the whole story was sweet, captivating, and satisfying. But now, Ning Manqing had become an Alpha, and she had… with her…

Thinking about the sensation of that Cloud Mist Tea pheromone entering her body, Li Chu couldn’t help but bite the tip of her tongue.

She shouldn’t have drunk that glass of water just because she was nervous and her brain short-circuited. It would have been so much better to pour it out. But there was no medicine for regret.

She was crying buckets internally. She didn’t want to get entangled with Ning Manqing, the female lead. She just wanted to quietly be a salted fish and leave the entertainment circle!

Li Chu dejectedly scrolled through her phone. Her agent had already seen that the original owner was a lost cause and was in a state of semi-abandonment. The original owner hadn’t had any work engagements for half a month, and the agent hadn’t contacted her much either.

There was nothing on her phone except some spam messages. However, the surveillance monitor connected to some software had recorded a lot of things.

Li Chu choked on her own saliva and coughed until her face turned red. She had intended to turn it off, but… it was actually… kinda good to watch .
