Chapter 50: The Gloomy, Obsessive Alpha Boss x Obedient, Soft, Sweet Omega 2
The tiny Omega was clean and innocent, tilting his face up to look at Huo Zedong with eyes brimming with pure joy. Every pore seemed to be shouting, “Hurry, come mark me!”
A tingling sensation swept through Huo Zedong’s chest, as if a kitten’s tail had brushed against his heart.
The faint scent of Freesia filled the car. Huo Zedong suddenly felt his tie was too tight and tugged at it with one hand.
The Omega rested his hands on the armrest, his eyes sparkling. “Mr. Huo, are you going to mark me here?”
The driver, overhearing this brazen request, wiped the sweat from his forehead. *Mark him here?! With a perfectly good Beta tool like me still present?!*
Huo Zedong paused, his hand still tugging at his tie. He turned to face the Omega, a mocking smile playing on his lips. “Do you even know what marking entails?”
The Omega nodded eagerly.
The system had explained that marking involved biting the gland, after which the villainous boss would gradually start to fall for him.
Jiang Luoluo suddenly reached out a small hand and grasped Huo Zedong’s cufflink. “Mr. Huo, after the marking, will you start to like me?”
Huo Zedong looked at the small hand, raising an eyebrow slightly. “I suppose so.”
At the South City Villa, the car drove through the gate, passing layer after layer of intricately carved walls, leaving one ornate door after another behind. The Omega, peering out the window, let out a soft “Wow!” “I’ve never seen a villa this big before!”
The tiny figure’s reflection in the window revealed a glimpse of a snow-white nape, like a naive little swan lured into a gilded cage.
The most exquisite roses should be cultivated in the deepest recesses of the flower garden.
Huo Zedong lowered his gaze, a smile playing on his lips. “Do you like it?”
The little Omega turned around, his voice clear and bright. “I do!”
A large hand rewarded him with a pat on the head. “Good boy.”
“So… you’re not marking me today?” The young Omega stood at the guest room door, gazing expectantly at the tall man.
Huo Zedong lowered his head, meeting the young Omega’s gaze.
“A doctor will come to examine you tomorrow. Once we have the results, we’ll decide when to proceed with the marking.”
The Omega before him was too young, barely reaching his chin. He was tender and innocent.
Huo Zedong even doubted whether the Omega had fully matured.
He had relied on suppressants for years. His first marking would undoubtedly be intense, lasting for days and nights without sleep. He feared this fragile Omega wouldn’t be able to endure it.
But the Omega seemed oblivious to his thoughts. A hint of disappointment crossed his face, and his small hand clutched at Huo Qidong’s suit hem. “Okay, then.”
“Mr. Huo…”
The young Omega lifted his face, resembling a kitten begging for comfort. “Could you… hold me?”
Jiang Luoluo found it strange. From the moment he entered this world and saw Huo Zedong, he had felt an irresistible urge to draw close to him.
As if being near him brought a sense of security.
The system explained this as the result of their pheromones’ compatibility. Jiang Luoluo’s fingers, still clutching Huo Zedong’s suit hem, curled slightly.
It was truly astonishing.
Huo Zedong’s eyes darkened.
The omega in his arms was perfect, and it took all his willpower to restrain himself from doing more than just a gentle hug.
The omega was soft and fragrant, his small head resting trustingly against Huo Zedong’s chest. The delicate Freesia scent did nothing to soothe the turmoil within him; instead, it was like pouring oil on a raging fire.
Huo Zedong’s arms wrapped around the omega’s back, patting him gently twice before he couldn’t resist leaning down to kiss his forehead.
The omega hadn’t expected a goodnight kiss, and his eyes lit up instantly.
Two small hands rested on Huo Zedong’s shoulders as the omega tiptoed. “Mr. Huo, you’re too tall…”
He wore a slightly flustered expression of excited distress. “Could you lean down a little?”
Huo Zedong lowered his head.
A soft kiss landed on his forehead, like a tiny seal.
The Jiang Family’s omega smiled sweetly at him. “Good night, Mr. Huo.”
Huo Zedong’s heart skipped a beat, as if a restless thought had awakened within him. Even his pheromones began to leak out restlessly.
Even after returning to his bedroom and stepping out of the bathroom, he could feel the unprecedented boiling of his pheromones within him.
They roared, pressed against him, and impatiently demanded release.
The pristine white bedding was as soft as clouds, and the guest room was silent.
Jiang Luoluo tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
Perhaps it was because the autumn weather was neither too hot nor too cold, and the maid had left the window slightly ajar. The air carried the fragrance of roses, and the wind rustled the curtains, revealing the dark, heavy night outside.
He pulled his arm, resting on the velvet duvet, closer to his body, cautiously watching the fluttering curtain. He tightened his grip on the blanket.
He never used to be afraid of the dark at night.
But for some reason, now, whenever he saw the pitch-black night, a sense of dread would creep into his heart. It felt as if something terrible had happened on such a night before.
He was afraid.
Afraid of the dark.
Even more afraid of what might happen on such a dark night.
He forced himself to sleep, but the slightest gust of wind would startle him awake, his drowsiness completely gone.
Jiang Luoluo turned on the bedside lamp and glanced at the window again. As if making a firm decision, he reached out and dialed the phone on the nightstand.
“Hello, I’d like to ask, which room is Mr. Huo in?”
Having received his answer, Jiang Luoluo threw off his covers, slipped on his slippers, and dashed out of the room.
The hallway lights blazed like daylight. Jiang Luoluo jogged down the corridor until he reached the third floor and the dark brown rosewood door of Mr. Huo’s room. He raised his hand to knock, but his fingers paused in mid-air for a moment before slowly retracting.
It was so late; Mr. Huo must be asleep.
A whiff of strong liquor-laced pheromones seeped from beneath the door, calming Jiang Luoluo’s racing heart.
He leaned against the wall and slowly sank to the floor.
Mr. Huo had brought him home but hadn’t marked him. This meant Mr. Huo didn’t like him that much yet.
If he kept bothering Mr. Huo, Mr. Huo might start to see him as a burden…
Not to mention he was a disabled Omega with a damaged gland…
He touched the back of his neck.
A disabled little burden—no one would ever like him.
Jiang Luoluo slowly crouched down.
He wouldn’t knock.
He’d just stay here for a while until he wasn’t scared anymore, then leave.
If Mr. Huo knew nothing, he wouldn’t dislike him.
Weariness washed over him, and Jiang Luoluo yawned softly.
Not long after, the door opened from the inside, revealing a pair of long legs.
Huo Zedong bent down and scooped up the small figure huddled by the door.
The person in his arms was light as a feather. Their drowsy eyes fluttered open for a moment, and recognizing him, they murmured sleepily, “Mr. Huo.”
Huo Zedong responded gently, his heart melting. “Why didn’t you knock?”
The little Omega, now lying on the bed, clutched his blanket, burying their cheek against the pillow and rubbing it as if they loved the scent. Drowsily, they replied, “I was afraid you wouldn’t like Luo Luo.”
Huo Zedong’s usually sharp gaze softened, and the sharp lines of his jaw were bathed in a warm glow from the lamp.
He carefully tucked the blanket around the Omega and settled on the other side of the bed.
The little Omega slept soundly in their new room, his gentle breaths fluttering against the alpha’s chest.
Huo Zedong, however, found himself unusually sleepless.
The little Omega, who had been sleeping peacefully on the other side of the bed, somehow managed to wriggle over and burrow into his arms. When he tried to restrain him gently, he whimpered with a tearful voice, insisting on clinging to him.
He had never realized how intoxicating the fresh scent of Freesia could be. It burrowed into his nostrils, shallow and deep, silently ensnaring him, drawing him in.
Huo Zedong’s Adam’s apple bobbed rapidly.
He wasn’t exactly a paragon of virtue. He could easily give in.
After all, the Omega was already in his arms, sleeping in his bed. He could do whatever he wanted.
The young Omega also seemed to adore him, repeatedly asking in a soft, coquettish voice, “Mr. Huo, can you mark me…?”
There was no need for him to torture himself like this.
Huo Zedong reached out to touch the back of Jiang Luoluo’s neck beneath his pajamas. The sleeping man shivered slightly but didn’t pull away, remaining nestled in his arms, completely unguarded.
The touch of his fingertip was delicate, yet a flame ignited in Huo Zedong’s eyes.
The scent of Freesia grew increasingly potent in the air. Huo Zedong’s Adam’s apple bobbed again as he leaned down.
He inhaled deeply.
A powerful desire surged through his body. A thought urged him to bite through the gland, inject his pheromones, and claim the man in his arms as his own.
His mind roared with a thunderous crash, and Huo Zedong’s eyes turned bloodshot.
He released the person in his arms and quickly got out of bed, heading to the bathroom and locking the door behind him.
In the early morning, Jiang Luoluo stretched with a small yawn. Before he even opened his eyes, he realized an arm was draped across his waist.
He snapped his eyes open and stared at the sharp contours of the man’s face before him, his cheeks flushing crimson.
His small hands slowly retreated to cover his burning face, and Jiang Luoluo didn’t dare to breathe.
No wonder he’d slept so soundly. It must have been Huo Zedong’s pheromones that had intoxicated him.
He blinked at the man for a moment, and the arm around his waist lifted to ruffle his hair.
The man’s voice was husky with a hint of sexiness. “Awake?”
Jiang Luoluo nodded and whispered, “Mr. Huo.”
Huo Zedong opened his eyes. “Why did you come over last night? Was that room uncomfortable?”
“It wasn’t uncomfortable.” Jiang Luoluo quickly denied it. “I’m afraid of the dark.”
He had been terrified of the dark ever since he’d first arrived in this world. Unfamiliar with the Jiang Family’s home, he hadn’t slept at all that night, instead staying awake all night with his stuffed animal clutched tightly.
“Afraid of the dark?” Huo Zedong raised an eyebrow, finding this curious. “Aren’t you afraid of me?”
Jiang Luoluo shook his head, his round, watery almond eyes sparkling with a carefree smile. “No~”
As soon as the words left his lips, he seemed to realize something. He sniffed the air with his small nose and asked in a soft voice, “Mr. Huo~ What’s that smell~?”
