Jiang Yue felt someone cutting into her body.
In excruciating pain, she opened her eyes to find herself amidst a dilapidated ruin, where a gigantic, colorful spider was rapidly crawling on the collapsed building across from her.
Several aircraft-like silver flying objects circled overhead, and bullets, shimmering with red light, intertwined to form a dense network of firepower, enclosing the spider, which was as large as a small building.
Green viscous fluid sprayed from the spider, corroding the exterior walls of the small dilapidated building, emitting a sizzling white smoke.
Is she dreaming?
Otherwise, how could she witness such a strange scene?
She tried to widen her eyes to see more clearly. However, in the moment her eyeballs shifted, she caught a glimpse from the corner of her eye of the doctor cutting into her hand and extracting a red worm-like creature similar to a leech from inside.
Countless pairs of long, slender, pale pink legs spread out from its abdomen, flailing wildly in the air.
Jiang Yue was terrified of insects the most. She rolled her eyes white and promptly fainted.
Heavens, she was just going to an anime convention, but on her way back, a Cadillac ran a red light and sent her flying. Her girlfriends screamed in high-pitched terror beside her, and then everything went black as her body crashed heavily to the ground.
But that’s no reason to have a nightmare!
Moreover, why could she still feel intense pain even after fainting? It felt as if someone were crushing her nerves with a searing hot iron.
In the midst of excruciating pain, Jiang Yue’s brain experienced a brief blankness. Her soul was imprisoned in an incredibly quiet space. In this silence, Jiang Yue lost the concept of time; it could have been a second or even as long as ten thousand years. Suddenly, a chaotic sound of electric currents reached her ears.
Beep beep beep…
Doo doo doo…
After the sound of electric currents, her body regained brief awareness. The next second, Jiang Yue lost consciousness once again.
After a long period of time, Jiang Yue’s consciousness revived once again. A strong smell of disinfectant rushed into her nostrils, and she heard a deep male voice saying, “The survivor of a major accident, luckily her physique is strong enough. The parasitic eggs had just hatched and were removed, and her body has no significant damage.”
Another man’s voice came, “Out of all the victims in that slum, only one survived like this. The others were completely parasitized by the Zerg Race. I really don’t know how she managed to survive.”
“What happened afterwards?”
“What else can we do? To prevent any remaining eggs, that area is undergoing high-temperature sterilization. Many of those parasitized by the Zerg Race still retain their consciousness, but there’s no other choice. They end up being burned alive.”
“The current situation is indeed severe. The mutated strains are highly infectious, and the Zerg Race is lurking. Internal strife within our federation is also ongoing.”
“Why worry? Even if the sky falls, there will be someone taller to hold it up.”
The two doctors continued their conversation as they walked out of the ward, casually closing the door behind them. Shortly after, Jiang Yue heard two more people approaching, seemingly arguing outside the door.
“I’m telling you, if you dare lay a finger on my brother again, I’ll break your neck,” a woman said angrily.
A cocky and arrogant male voice responded, “Anyway, I’ve already marked him. You can’t change that fact even if you kill me.”
The man continued to grumble, “Damn it, mind your own business. Do you really want me to teach you a lesson?”
Suddenly, in her semi-conscious state, Jiang Yue caught a whiff of strong tobacco, the scent of cheap cigarettes.
Why light up a cigarette at the slightest provocation?
Jiang Yue’s eyelids felt extremely heavy, yet her consciousness remained sharp. She heard the woman snort coldly, followed by a whiff of pungent liquor.
Jiang Yue was deeply puzzled. She even began to suspect if this were her dream, and if her body might be lying in a hospital bed being treated.
As Jiang Yue was mentally grumbling, she suddenly heard a man’s scream, followed by the woman’s cold laugh: “The smell of inferior alphas is truly nauseating.”
Alpha?
As an enthusiast of ABO literature, Jiang Yue certainly knew what an alpha was.
She couldn’t help but feel like an old pervert, clinging to colorful things even at the brink of death, reliving them in her dreams.
With this thought, Jiang Yue suddenly felt a wave of sadness.
Her phone!
Her phone!
Her phone!!!
Her phone containing 400GB of indescribable images, documents, short films, and spicy pictures!
Is being hit by a car not enough? Does she have to experience a social death as well?
This is too cruel!
In her panic, Jiang Yue struggled to open her eyes.
Hit by the car so violently, Jiang Yue never thought she would open her eyes again. But when she did, there wasn’t the anticipated pain. Instead, there was an inexplicable feeling of vitality coursing through her body.
She blinked her sore eyes, and through the blurred vision, she saw the white ceiling of the hospital and the IV drip beside her. As her vision cleared, she sat up and looked at the empty bed next to hers, feeling a pang of sadness.
There was no one waiting by her bedside for her to wake up.
As a wealthy young woman, Jiang Yue had thin ties with her family. Her parents divorced when she was very young, each forming new families. She, as their daughter, seemed a bit superfluous, so she ended up living with her grandparents.
Fortunately, she was materially well-off. Her parents never mistreated her; she had cars and houses at a young age, with a monthly allowance of half a million. She lived a luxurious life without having to struggle, all thanks to her parents.
Perhaps they were too busy, or maybe the hospital hadn’t found her parents’ contact information yet. It’s also possible they were busy with business matters and couldn’t come immediately.
Jiang Yue subconsciously sighed and looked at the back of her hand where the IV drip was inserted. As a wealthy girl who seldom did any manual work, she had delicate bones and fair, tender hands. Every time she received an IV drip, the back of her fair and tender hand would inevitably turn bruised.
At first glance, Jiang Yue didn’t recognize whose hand was in front of her.
Clearly, it was a hand belonging to a male. Unlike the delicate structure of female hands, these hands appeared slender and powerful, with long, elongated fingers and faintly protruding veins on the back, exuding a cold yet sensual charm.
It was a hand full of strength, and Jiang Yue was stunned for a moment. Subconsciously, she moved her fingers.
Then she saw the fingers of that hand move as well.
She tried lifting her index finger, and then the index finger of that hand lifted up too, forming a graceful arc.
Jiang Yue’s body was covered in goosebumps.
She tremblingly raised her left hand in front of her eyes, and the powerful and slender palm came into view, with square-shaped nails neatly trimmed.
What about the pink gradient cat-eye gel nails she had done yesterday?
Could someone please tell her what was happening?
Was it a dream?
It must be a dream, right?
It must be a dream, right?
She ripped out the needle and staggered off the bed, running frantically to the bathroom.
Halfway there, she stopped abruptly. Jiang Yue looked down at her legs below her waist and felt that her legs were so—long.
They were so long that she started feeling a bit afraid of heights.
Jiang Yue, who was 1.65 meters tall, couldn’t immediately adapt to the sudden change in perspective caused by her suddenly elongated legs. For a moment, she even felt dizzy.
Covering her forehead, she ran to the bathroom. As she looked up, Jiang Yue stared at the person in the mirror with wide eyes.
The woman in the mirror had her hair tied up in a high ponytail, with deep-set eyes, a straight nose, and beautifully thin lips with a slight upward curve at the corners, featuring subtle yet perfectly placed lip pearls, forming a very beautiful and flawless smile.
Her eyes were particularly striking, resembling the deep-set eyes of European and American people. Both her upper and lower eyelashes were very dense; when she blinked, her lashes formed a dense black patch, like delicate black feathers.
It was a strikingly handsome face.
But the protrusion on her chest reminded Jiang Yue that she was still a woman.
From being slender and delicate to being handsome and tall, Jiang Yue didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.
Fortunately, young people are more accepting. Jiang Yue numbly washed her face in the bathroom.
As Jiang Yue reached the door, she suddenly felt the urge to urinate. Out of habit, she started to undo her pants, preparing to sit on the toilet. Then, her hand unexpectedly touched something she shouldn’t have and could never have imagined having.
It was a considerable length of a stick-shaped object with a cross-sectional area that was impressive.
It was warm and hung between Jiang Yue’s thighs in a semi-soft state, causing her to feel a slight weight.
The urgent need to address this physiological issue was pressing. Jiang Yue stood in front of the toilet and began to relieve herself.
To be honest, this was the first time Jiang Yue had ever stood to urinate outside of showering…
After finishing, she took some tissue and looked at the visually impactful object that had suddenly appeared on her body, unsure whether she should wipe it or not.
Wiping it felt a bit awkward.
Not wiping it made her feel uncomfortable.
Jiang Yue was torn for a long time, but finally mustered up the courage to gently wipe it with two fingers holding the tissue.
She buttoned up and walked out of the bathroom, feeling extremely overwhelmed.
The extent of her distress couldn’t be described in just a few words.
She returned to the ward in a daze, looking down at her chest and reaching out to pinch it.
It wasn’t the familiar softness. They had become very firm, like two warm stones.
Well, at least she didn’t have to worry about sagging breasts now, Jiang Yue thought, trying to find some humor in her misery.
She rubbed and pressed her two “stones” in front of her chest, poking at them intermittently when the nurse walked in.
The nurse gave her an odd look and said, “I know you female alphas like to show off your humps, but isn’t this a bit too freaky?”
Jiang Yue was taken aback. “Female alpha?”
The nurse glanced at Jiang Yue’s chest, thought for a moment, and added, “Of course, male alphas with well-developed humps also like to show off. It’s the nature of alphas.”
Jiang Yue was bewildered again. She looked at the nurse cautiously and asked, “Are you an omega then?”
The nurse gave her a strange look and replied, “Of course, I’m an omega.”
Jiang Yue stumbled to the counter, wearing a silver metal bracelet on her wrist. The material of the bracelet was very peculiar, feeling just like human skin; she couldn’t feel anything when it was worn on her wrist.
She didn’t know what this thing was. Wandering around the hospital, she found a seemingly leisurely male patient and told him that she had hit her head and couldn’t remember anything.
The patient, a beta, was very enthusiastic and eager to help.
After a morning of chatting, Jiang Yue finally learned some basic social norms. It was the interstellar era, with ABO dynamics, Zerg races, and something called mutants.
Her silver bracelet on her wrist served as a personal terminal, equivalent to an ID card and a phone.
As for the two stone-like things in front of her chest, commonly known as breasts, their scientific term is humps. As the name suggests, they function similarly to the humps of a camel, storing energy.
So, the endurance and stamina of female alphas are incredibly impressive, while male alphas excel in bursts of energy. Besides this, there are no other differences between female and male alphas.
The beta guy glanced at Jiang Yue’s chest, his eyes filled with envy. He sincerely praised her, “Wow, with such development, your endurance must be amazing!”
