IRDFPFCIW Chapter 67

If You're Going to Do It, Do It Big!

Jiang Tang received an email from the Imperial Capital Academy of Sciences.

The email was timestamped from midnight last night, when he was sleeping soundly.

Receiving a message in the middle of the night usually indicates some urgent situation. Jiang Tang was worried about delays, so he reached for his lightbrain without caring that he was still in bed and opened the email to check.

Once opened, Jiang Tang realized that the Academy’s email sent late at night was not about an emergency but rather an exciting good news.

The Academy’s research on natural foods had finally achieved final results, providing enough scientific evidence that natural foods indeed contain certain energy that can repair and enhance spiritual power.

Jiang Tang sat up excitedly, great! All the efforts for so long had finally paid off.

Attached to the email was a lengthy research report. Jiang Tang eagerly flipped through the report with shining eyes. Although the terminology was complicated and professional and he could only guess the meanings, his excitement remained the same.

The researchers at the Academy must have been equally excited because they couldn’t wait to send him the email in the middle of the night.

Just as he was engrossed in reading, an arm suddenly wrapped around Jiang Tang’s waist and pulled him close.

Jiang Tang looked up to meet Wen Renyuan’s handsome face.

After seeing Jiang Tang awake, Wen Renyuan saw that he first picked up the lightbrain and began looking at it, completely ignoring him at first. It was only when he hugged him that he finally acknowledged his presence.

Jiang Tang stuck out his tongue. He had almost forgotten that Wen Renyuan was still there. He wasn’t used to having someone else in bed with him.

“What are you looking at that makes you so happy?”

Wen Renyuan also sat up. Jiang Tang took the opportunity to snuggle into his arms. The two of them were cuddling together in the early morning.

“The Academy’s research finally has official results!”

Seeing Jiang Tang’s excited and slightly proud expression, Wen Renyuan felt itchy in his heart. He reached out to pat Jiang Tang’s head. “You’re amazing, baby.”

Jiang Tang felt shy at his words. “It’s nothing, really. I just contributed a little. The others are the impressive ones.”

Wen Renyuan tightened his embrace.

“No, as far as I know, this research of the Academy has been stagnant for a long time. Without you, they would never have achieved results in such a short time. And do you know how important this research is?”

Wen Renyuan held Jiang Tang’s hand. “This means that trillions of people will no longer have to endure the pain caused by the collapse of their spiritual sea. More people can stimulate or improve their spiritual power to realize more possibilities.”

“Baby, you’re really great.”

Wen Renyuan’s expression was very serious. “Every year, countless soldiers are forced to retire due to the collapse of their spiritual power, and they have to suffer from the pain of their spiritual sea until they die. Now with your help and efforts, we can change this situation. I can speak on behalf of those in the military, thank you for your hard work.”

Jiang Tang was somewhat shocked by Wen Renyuan’s words. He really didn’t expect that food could have such a big impact on the interstellar world.

Leaning against Wen Renyuan’s chest, he fell into deep thought, and suddenly a bold idea struck him.

Perhaps his superb cooking skills and rich recipe collection shouldn’t be kept private. Instead, they could be shared to benefit the interstellar world. Just a few treasures from the profound Chinese food culture would be more than enough.

Since he had this incredible opportunity of transmigrating, why not do something big and spark a unique food revolution?

The more Jiang Tang thought about it, the more excited he became. He felt the blood in his veins boiling.

He shared his idea with Wen Renyuan and watched for his reaction.

Wen Renyuan looked surprised but didn’t oppose it. He gently pinched Jiang Tang’s cheek. “So what do you plan to do specifically?”

Jiang Tang thought for a moment and said, “I want to establish a culinary academy to promote the recipes I know for free. However, the prices of natural foods are very high right now. It must be difficult for many people to afford them. Plus, deeply ingrained beliefs are hard to change…”

Jiang Tang furrowed his brow. He seemed to think things were too simple. Now that he said this, he felt that there were still many challenges ahead.

His voice gradually lowered, losing the initial excitement.

“Hey, take it easy.” A light tugging sensation on his cheek pulled Jiang Tang back to reality. Jiang Tang’s attention was drawn and he shot Wen Renyuan a reproachful glare.

“I support you.” Wen Renyuan said, “No matter what you want to do, just give it your all. I’m here for you.”

Jiang Tang felt a wave of warmth and renewed determination. He wasn’t someone who backed down in the face of difficulties, especially now with Wen Renyuan’s support. He clenched his fist and nodded firmly.

“Yes! I will work hard.”

His determination nearly made Wen Renyuan laugh. He tapped Jiang Tang’s cute nose with his finger and lowered his voice, “With your boyfriend by your side, how could there be any difficulties? Don’t forget, I’m a Marshal, and I have the royal family behind me, all supporting you.”

“…What royal family?” Jiang Tang blinked in confusion. What connection did he have with the royal family?

Wen Renyuan saw that the slightly confused look on Jiang Tang’s face was not fake, and he couldn’t help but sigh silently in his heart. Sometimes his boyfriend was sharp and clever, while other times he could be adorably clueless.

Seeing that Jiang Tang hadn’t reacted yet, Wen Renyuan reminded him, “The two people in the palace are my father and mother. The prince is my brother.”

This wasn’t a secret. Although he had concealed his identity when entering the military, he also started from the bottom and accumulated military merits. He earned his way up to Marshal before revealing his connection with the royal family.

The title of the youngest marshal was already dazzling, and with a royal background, Wen Renyuan had consistently topped the list of “The Most Wanted Men in the Entire Galaxy to Marry”, and it remainted at the top until now.

Countless men and women were drawn to him because of his status. But looking at Jiang Tang like this, he appeared completely unaware of his royal identity.

Wen Renyuan couldn’t help but feel that he had stumbled upon a fairy treasure.

Jiang Tang’s eyes widened slowly, and his mouth formed an “O” shape when he looked at Wen Renyuan’s face.

Wow, his boyfriend was not only a Marshal but also a prince of the empire!

As someone who had transmigrated from Earth, how could he have known all this? Jiang Tang swallowed hard. “…Is this true?”

Before Wen Renyuan could nod, Jiang Tang jumped up and hugged his neck.

Wen Renyuan quickly supported Jiang Tang’s butt, fearing that he would fall off the bed.

It suddenly felt like he had hugged a thigh, a top-notch golden thigh! No wonder so many people sought various ways to get close to someone like him. It felt incredibly satisfying to hug such a thigh!

“I must have saved the Milky Way Galaxy in my previous life,” Jiang Tang chuckled, wondering how he could have such good luck.

No, he was just a chef in his previous life. Jiang Tang changed his words, “Not in my previous life, but the life before that. Hehe.”

Wen Renyuan had never heard of the Milky Way Galaxy and didn’t understand why Jiang Tang changed his words to “the life before that”.

Watching the smile on Jiang Tang’s face, he reflected on how he had once cared about others mentioning his identity, as if being a “prince” could erase all the hardships he faced in the military. But now he felt that having this identity wasn’t a bad thing.

Wen Renyuan just wanted to see his beloved boy smile like this more often.

As for the things he would do for this smile, some he could share with Jiang Tang for a bit of couple fun, while others were better left unsaid to avoid annoyance.

For example, the Jiang family who didn’t know how to die or live.

To prevent Jiang Tang from facing public opinion in the future, Wen Renyuan originally planned not to take harsh measures against the Jiang family. He intended for them to self-destruct.

But some people really wouldn’t cry until they saw the coffin and had to challenge his bottom line.

They even got involved with the useless side branch of the Gu family. Wen Renyuan and Gu Lin cleaned them up thoroughly over the past two days. He imagined the two people expelled by their families for self-protection now probably looked like lost dogs.

A flash of interest crossed Wen Renyuan’s eyes. What would their fate be?

On a remote border planet far from the Imperial Capital Star, a burly man emerged from the depths of a narrow alley.

He looked fierce, with a long and terrifying scar across his left cheek. As he walked out, he casually adjusted his belt and tied it hastily.

A person waiting in the corner for an unknown amount of time approached, and a beam of light illuminated his face. It was Gu Hao who was expelled from the Gu family’s side branch.

Gu Hao looked at the fierce man with a hint of trepidation, but he also carried a sense of smug satisfaction that men often understand. He mustered his courage to extend his hand and said, “Don’t forget to pay after you’re done.”

The man glanced at Gu Hao, who was still trying to act like a rich young master, and sneered. What kind of decent person would come here? To make money, he even pulled out his used shoes to lure others.

But the man smacked his lips as if he was savoring it. It was said that the person had only recently lost his virginity. Although he wasn’t very vigorous in bed, his face was decent and the s*x was still enjoyable.

The man then readily pulled out a bag of star coins and tossed it over.

Gu Hao quickly caught it, weighed it in his hands, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

“Pleasure doing business. If you need it, feel free to come back.”

After saying that, ignoring the man’s mocking expression, Gu Hao lifted his head and straightened his waist, imagining that he was still the extravagant young master, and swaggered straight to the nearby casino.

Gu Hao poured all his money into the casino again. He was convinced that he would soon earn back his losses and even double it and become rich.

When that happened, he would take revenge on Gu Lin, the military, and those people in the Gu family who had kicked him out overnight to avoid being implicated by him!

Jiang Bai lay in a corner of the room on a tattered mat, looking like a nearly broken doll.

He appeared to have lost a lot of weight, and the once pampered skin he had in the Jiang family for over a decade now resembled withered petals. Jiang Bai stared blankly at the ceiling with his eyes wide open. The corners of his mouth was swollen and cracked, and his body was covered with terrifying bruises left by different people.

Every part of him felt as if it had been crushed.

Hearing Gu Hao’s hurried footsteps as he left, he finally reacted.

Jiang Bai gasped heavily, and his chest, which was almost as thin as ribs, heaved as if he were about to collapse, but his throat was too parched to make any coherent sound, only producing a hoarse rasp.

But soon, another unfamiliar man entered the room.

Seeing Jiang Bai in such a state, the man clicked his tongue in disgust but soon the sound of unzipping his pants broke the silence.

In the end, Jiang Bai fell silent again.
