TYMRHBDES Chapter 71

Chapter 71: The Gloomy, Obsessive Alpha Boss x Sweet, Submissive Little Omega 23

Huo Zedong lowered his gaze, suppressing the destructive urge surging within him.

He spoke in a calm voice: “Handle this situation properly. Don’t let it affect him. And that person… don’t let him appear again.”

With that, he turned toward the Maybach parked at the roadside.

The sun had already set, and the sky was painted with twilight hues.

Tall plane trees cast pale shadows on the ground.

The tall, long-legged man pressed his thin lips together, radiating an aura of icy aloofness that kept others at arm’s length. His custom-tailored suit trousers clung to his long legs as he stood outside the car door.

His slender, well-defined fingers rested on the handle, but he made no further move.

The car’s reflective surface mirrored his half-lowered eyelashes. Huo Zedong didn’t open the door. After a long moment, he tapped lightly on the window and whispered, “Baby…”

He wanted to ask, “Are you afraid?”

But he knew without asking that his baby would be terrified.

Even his own father had looked at him with that same incomprehending fear, as if he weren’t his son.

How could he expect his precious baby, whose courage was no greater than a rabbit’s, not to burst into tears at the slightest scare?

Huo Zedong hesitated, then finally pulled open the car door.

As expected, the person in the back seat had red-rimmed eyes, their bright, watery gaze clouded with fear. They looked at him timidly.

Huo Zedong’s heart clenched as he croaked, “Don’t be afraid…”

“I’ll stay right here. I won’t come up…”

He had so much he wanted to say.

*Don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you. I’ll never hurt you…*

But before he could speak, tears began to stream down the person’s face in the back seat. Each crystal-clear tear, as large as a pearl, struck his heart like a hammer.

Huo Zedong’s nose tingled with a sudden ache.

His Little Omega, his eyes blurred with tears, tentatively opened his arms and sobbed as he threw himself into Huo Zedong’s embrace. “Huo Zedong…”

His soft voice, thick with tears, repeated his name over and over: “Huo Zedong…”

Huo Zedong’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he gently pulled the Little Omega closer.

His Little Omega burrowed into his chest, his tear-filled eyes searching for comfort. He sobbed and shrank deeper into Huo Zedong’s embrace, repeating, “I’m scared…”

He was terrified.

Huo Zedong lowered his gaze and gently patted his back to soothe him.

*Silly child.*

*Aren’t you afraid of me?*

*Then why would you run into my arms while still trembling with fear?*

*Didn’t you already realize how dangerous I am?*

*Shouldn’t you be hiding somewhere, or running away altogether?*

The man’s gaze deepened, but in the end, he asked nothing.

He gently rubbed the Little Omega’s head, his voice soft as if afraid of startling the person in his arms. “It’s okay now…”

He bent down and carried the Little Omega into the car, then pressed the remote control to raise the partition.

The Little Omega’s eyes were red from crying. He lay on Huo Zedong’s shoulder, sobbing softly. Tears clung to Huo Zedong’s face, cool and damp.

Huo Zedong pulled out a tissue and slowly wiped away the tear streaks from the Little Omega’s face.

He wasn’t usually a man of few words, but at that moment, he didn’t know what to say.

It would only be the same old, obvious questions. After all, he was the one who had scared the Little Omega into tears in the first place.

The Driver waited for instructions but dared not move without them. He finally asked, “Master Huo, shall we return to the villa?”

Huo Zedong didn’t answer. His long fingers brushed away the tear-stained smudges from the Little Omega’s eyelids. “Baby, do you still want to go back?”

Going back to face him alone would only make the Little Omega more afraid.

As the words fell, the Little Omega’s fair, tear-streaked face crumpled. He pouted in distress, and tears flowed like a broken string of pearls, cascading down his cheeks.

Huo Zedong was utterly flustered. He had only asked a question; he hadn’t even done anything yet. Why was the Little Omega crying even harder?

The handsome Alpha cradled the Little Omega’s face tenderly. “Don’t cry anymore…”

“If you don’t want to go back, we won’t go back…”

He had plenty of properties. He’d first settle his Bao Bei somewhere else and then coax him gently.

But as soon as Huo Zedong said they wouldn’t go back, his Little Omega started crying even harder.

He threw himself into Huo Zedong’s arms, wrapping his arms around his neck. Tears streamed down his neck as he sobbed, “I knew it…”

“I knew you were disgusted with me…”

“Wuwu, you don’t love me anymore…”

“Wuwu, you don’t want me anymore…”

“Let’s go home! Let’s go home right now!” Huo Zedong hastily agreed, and the car started moving.

Huo Zedong felt both helpless and heartbroken.

This was the first time he’d experienced this feeling—afraid of dropping him if he held him, afraid of him melting away if he kissed him. [footnote]

“捧在手心怕摔了,含在嘴里怕化了”

(pěng zài shǒu xīn pà shuāi le, hán zài zuǐ lǐ pà huà le)

🔹 Literal Translation:

“Afraid it’ll fall if held in the palm, afraid it’ll melt if held in the mouth.”

🔹 Meaning:

It expresses extreme cherishing and care, like treating someone so delicately and lovingly that you’re scared to hurt them even slightly — the highest level of tenderness. [/footnote]

He was terrified of even the slightest frown or a single tear.

He kissed his Little Omega’s cheeks repeatedly, wiping away his tears, and whispered soothingly, “Don’t cry anymore.”

“How could Husband ever bear to abandon you?”

“In this world, what could possibly be more precious than our Luo Luo?”

“You’re Husband’s favorite little treasure, aren’t you?”

“Why are you still crying?”

“Let Husband take a look… are your eyes all red from crying?”

The person in his arms finally stopped crying, but clung tightly to him, burying his entire body in Huo Zedong’s embrace and clutching his sleeve with trembling fingers.

As if afraid he would run away.

Huo Zedong’s heart melted into a puddle of tenderness, as if gently scratched by a kitten’s paw.

“Aren’t you afraid of Husband?”

The man’s fingers gently stroked his face, a mixture of sourness and sweetness welling up inside him.

“Why is it that the more afraid you are, the tighter you cling to me?”

The little omega in his arms looked up at him with tear-reddened eyes, his delicate nose tip also red, making him look even more pitiful.

His voice, hoarse from crying, was soft and clingy, yet also strangely defiant. “Just because I’m scared doesn’t mean I can’t hold onto you!”

The little omega wiped his eyes with a pale hand, then rubbed the tears from the back of his hand all over Huo Zedong’s shirt.

His thick, long eyelashes fluttered, casting a wide shadow beneath his eyelids, tinged with a hint of spoiled stubbornness. He repeated softly, “Anyway, I’m holding onto you.”

From the moment he entered this world, Lin Zhiyi knew that his target, Huo Zedong, was no good. After all, he was the villain boss who could destroy the world.

When Lin Zhiyi recounted his injuries, mixed with the intensely traumatic experiences that had driven him to madness, he was genuinely terrified. Waiting alone in the car, he was still afraid.

But when Huo Zedong finally appeared before him, he could no longer restrain himself. He was scared, he was wronged, and he couldn’t stop himself from throwing himself into Huo Zedong’s arms. Only by Huo Zedong’s side did he feel safe. He knew Huo Zedong wouldn’t hurt him.

After a moment of silence in the car, Huo Zedong suddenly lowered his head and kissed his eyes. The sharp lines of his face softened slightly, the corners of his eyes crinkling with a smile. His voice was low and husky.

“Of course you can hold onto me. What part of me hasn’t my husband let you touch?”

The Little Omega’s face flushed slowly, his cheeks turning a deep crimson. He couldn’t match Huo Zedong’s thick-skinned boldness and naturally couldn’t argue with him. Meeting the man’s deep gaze, he flusteredly reached out his small hands to cover Huo Zedong’s eyes. “You promised to buy me ice cream! I haven’t even had any yet!”

The man chuckled softly, a slight curve forming beneath his palm. Huo Zedong pulled down his little hand and kissed it. “Alright, tonight our baby will definitely get his treat.”

As if struck by lightning, Jiang Luoluo quickly snatched his hand back and pointed vaguely out the window. “Let’s buy it here!”

A Maybach worth tens of millions of yuan stood parked at the roadside. Huo Zedong, impeccably dressed in a suit, stood in line outside a famous domestic milk tea shop known for its quality and affordability. He spent three yuan on an ice cream cone.

It was the original flavor matcha double scoop.

The little Omega beside him was delighted. He took the cone from Huo Zedong, bit off the tip, and closed his eyes in bliss.

The crowd was too dense. Fearing Jiang Luoluo would be jostled, Huo Zedong wrapped an arm around him, carefully shielding him from the crush.

“He’s so handsome!!!!”

“Look over there!!”

“My god, there’s at least a twenty-centimeter height difference! The cutest height disparity ever!!!”

“Quick, give me some space to take a picture!!”

“Oh my god! This is wallpaper material straight out of the camera roll!”

The target demographic for this milk tea shop was young women, and it was currently the busiest time of day.

When the distinguished Huo Zedong arrived with Jiang Luoluo, it caused quite a stir. However, most people remained reserved, stealing glances or nudging their companions to take a look.

Now, as they turned to leave after making their purchase, the crowd’s shipping fervor intensified. Huo Zedong found it difficult to pretend he couldn’t hear them.

Though their voices were excited, there was no malice in their words. Huo Zedong reached out to shield Jiang Luoluo’s face, blocking the gazes directed their way.

“Let’s go, Baby.”

Let them be.

As they moved away from the crowd, Jiang Luoluo licked the melting ice cream, tilting his head to look at Huo Zedong and cooing, “Husband, I want to finish it before we get in the car~”

Huo Zedong stepped in front of him, blocking the curious stares and wishing he could hide him away.

His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard, his gaze deepening. “Baby, you can’t eat like that in public.”

Jiang Luoluo tilted his small face up to look at Huo Zedong and gave him a soft, mischievous smile, like a Kitten brimming with mischief.

“No~”

“I like eating it this way~”

As if deliberately trying to provoke Huo Zedong, he repeated the action a few more times.

He even casually wiped the ice cream from the corner of his mouth with his finger and popped it into his rosy lips.

His eyes, shimmering with water, blinked innocently, carrying a hint of spoiled arrogance.

Huo Zedong watched him helplessly, a fathomless darkness swirling in his gaze.

His clear, low voice lingered slightly at the end of the sentence, as if questioning him: “Just those few tricks? Anything else?”

The Little Omega suddenly felt a dangerous aura emanating from the other man. He bit his lip, clutching his ice cream cone.

“N-no… that’s it…”

“Oh?” A large hand landed on his shoulder. Huo Zedong leaned down slightly, as if he hadn’t seen enough and was still unsatisfied.

“That’s all?”

Jiang Luoluo stammered, then answered honestly, “Really, that’s all.”

The other hand brushed across his lips, the man’s voice laced with an indescribable undertone. “Is that so?”
