TYMRHBDES Chapter 73

Chapter 73: The Gloomy and Obsessive Alpha Boss x Sweet and Obedient Little Omega 25

Huo Zedong’s expression remained calm, showing no hint of the joy one might expect from an expectant father. He listened as if he were hearing something utterly inconsequential.

His thick, dark eyebrows even furrowed slightly. “Is the situation bad?”

If things were going well, he wouldn’t have deliberately sent his assistant to distract Luo Luo.

The doctor nodded. “Firstly, Young Master Jiang is too young and physically frail to carry a pregnancy to term. Secondly, there’s the impact of the glandular defect mentioned during the previous genetic testing…”

“In short, this embryo is very fragile. There’s a risk of fetal demise at any point during the first three months, making it difficult to survive to full development. Even if it successfully passes through the early and middle stages of pregnancy, the late stages and delivery will pose another major challenge. In the worst-case scenario, even the pregnant omega could…”

The doctor hesitated, unable to bring himself to utter the final outcome.

Huo Zedong understood the unspoken words, his eyelids lifting slightly in a detached manner.

“So your recommendation is to have the procedure done as soon as possible?”

“At three months, surgery isn’t necessary; medication will suffice. However, I’ve noticed Young Master Jiang’s recent physical condition hasn’t been great. It might be better to wait until his morning sickness subsides before proceeding. This would minimize both the physical and psychological harm to him.”

“Understood.”

Huo Zedong’s obsidian eyes darkened under the bright fluorescent light as he turned to the doctor. “I’ll trouble you to explain the precautions for this period.”

“First, during early pregnancy, Omegas may experience symptoms similar to those during their heat cycle, such as feelings of insecurity and an urgent need for reassurance from their alpha.”

“At this time, a small injection of pheromones into the back of the neck or simple physical intimacy can have a calming effect on the vulnerable Omega.”

“However, it’s crucial to remember that the embryo is unstable during the first three months. We generally advise couples to abstain from sexual intercourse during this period.”

As if recalling something, Huo Zedong suddenly asked, “Could his frequent complaints of abdominal pain lately be related to this?”

The doctor nodded. “Yes.”

Footsteps approached from outside. Huo Zedong instructed, “Don’t tell him about the pregnancy yet.”

There was no need to tell a child who couldn’t be kept, to let him experience anticipation only to plunge into the abyss of pain. [footnote] T/N: Now I remember the plot! Pew, I almost became angry for no reason. You guys, drama is becoming juicy…  [/footnote]

The Butler saw the doctor out, and Jiang Luoluo, yawning, snuggled into Huo Zedong’s arms. He carried him upstairs.

Perhaps it was too much for one day, or maybe he’d cried too much. The exhausted little Omega lay in the bathtub, playing with the flower petals floating on the water’s surface for a while before drowsiness finally claimed him.

His soft, light-golden hair was soaked, and a layer of damp mist clung to his snow-white face. His water-red lips were as soft as flower petals.

With his eyes closed, his wet eyelashes clung together in delicate clumps, resting silently against his lower eyelids.

The pearl-white bathtub was filled with a thick layer of pink and white rose petals. He lay nestled among the layers of petals, both delicate and vulnerable, like a little princess from a Western fairy tale waiting to be awakened by a kiss.

Huo Zedong reached out to brush a strand of hair from his face. Sensing the movement, the little Omega nuzzled his soft cheek against Huo Zedong’s finger.

His soft voice, dampened by the bathroom’s humidity, grew even more endearing and obedient. He murmured unconsciously, “Husband…”

Huo Zedong lowered his head and kissed his forehead.

Two strong, powerful arms reached into the water with a splash, pulling out the Little Omega.

A pristine white towel was unfurled, wrapping him completely.

Eyes closed, the Little Omega sat on Huo Zedong’s lap, his wet head half-tilted, resting against Huo Zedong’s chest.

Huo Zedong held the hairdryer, patiently drying his hair, but his mind kept replaying the doctor’s words.

A fleeting image flashed before his eyes: the moment he pulled the Little Omega from the water, his fair, flat stomach showing no sign of a bulge.

He sighed silently, kissed the Little Omega again, carried him to bed, and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, a small hand emerged from the covers, curling unconsciously.

The person under the blanket rolled around on the large bed, softly calling out, “Husband…”

The bedroom remained silent, with no response.

Jiang Luoluo peeked out, his slender legs sliding across the sheets. After a quick wash, he slipped on his slippers and headed out.

Huo Zedong had a habit of exercising, so he should be out running at this hour.

As Jiang Luoluo descended the stairs, he initially intended to find Huo Zedong. However, seeing the busy servants in the kitchen, he changed his mind.

He strode past with his chest puffed out, every inch a proper young master.

When the servants greeted him, he nodded affably. When the head chef reported the breakfast menu, he gave an approving nod. “Sounds good. Nothing to add.”

Then, while no one was looking, he slipped into the cold drinks section, expertly concealing an ice cream bar behind his back before swaggering out.

Luo Luo had always had a sweet tooth and a fondness for cold treats. Lately, his body had been burning up from the inside out, radiating heat like a little furnace.

So everything icy and refreshing—from cold drinks and slushies to ice cream bars and frozen yogurt—had become his absolute favorite!

But Huo Zedong kept a close eye on him, instructing the Butler and servants to guard the kitchen and prevent him from overindulging, especially in the morning.

Now, with the kitchen in a frenzy and Huo Zedong busy exercising, it was the perfect opportunity for a sneaky ice cream snack.

Jiang Luoluo furtively hid in a corner of the sofa, glanced out the window to check for onlookers, then scanned the room for passing servants. With nimble fingers, he tore open the wrapper.

His first bite revealed a crisp chocolate shell and a creamy, milky core. Crushed almonds and hazelnut chunks danced on his tongue, their cool, refreshing texture adding depth to the experience. Luo Luo’s eyes curved into happy crescents.

This was his dream ice cream bar!

*Too bad I didn’t grab another one!* Jiang Luoluo thought regretfully. *It was so chaotic back then, no one would have noticed if I’d taken another!*

He popped the ice cream back into his mouth, just as he was about to take a bite, a cold voice drifted into his ear.

“Is it good?”

He was about to nod when he realized something was wrong. Huo Zedong was standing right behind him.

*Oh no, oh no, oh no! My ice cream is doomed!*

His mind was a complete mess, but his mouth acted honestly, taking another bite as if determined to eat as much as he could while he still had the chance.

A large hand reached over his shoulder, enveloping his small hand and gripping the wooden stick of the ice cream. With effortless ease, Huo Zedong snatched his dream treat away.

Huo Zedong walked over and leaned down to pinch the Little Omega’s cheek, who was curled up on the sofa. “Little glutton, you sneak snacks when you think I’m not looking.”

Milk from the ice cream had smeared across the Little Omega’s water-red lips. Dressed in loose white pajamas, he looked up at Huo Zedong, his wet eyes blinking innocently.

After hearing Huo Zedong’s words, the Little Omega softly protested, “I only had one bite…”

“Not even one bite. You can’t eat such cold things in the morning.” Huo Zedong’s face turned stern, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.

With his cold demeanor, anyone who saw Huo Zedong knew to keep their mouths shut. But his Little Omega wasn’t afraid at all.

Instead, he clung to Huo Zedong’s leg with a mischievous look, pleading softly:

“Please, Husband~”

“Huo Zedong is the best husband in the world~”

“Just one bite, okay, husband?”

“Just a tiny bite~ Just a tiny bite is all I need~”

Huo Zedong steeled his heart and refused. “No.”

The Little Omega pouted.

Huo Zedong sighed and knelt down to coax him.

“Our Baby’s tummy hasn’t been feeling well lately, right? The doctor told us yesterday that you can’t eat anything cold in the morning. It’ll irritate your stomach and make you feel even worse.”

The man’s hand gently caressed his Little Omega’s cheek. “Let’s be good and wait until lunchtime, okay?”

The Little Omega hesitated for a moment before slowly nodding.

Huo Zedong had just returned from his morning run.

Though the July morning wasn’t yet hot, the exertion had left him sweating.

He wore a simple black T-shirt and lightweight black athletic pants that outlined his long legs.

Now, those legs were bent as he knelt to meet his Little Omega’s gaze. Beads of sweat glistened on his forehead and temples.

Even his neck was coated in a thin sheen of perspiration, and his Adam’s apple gleamed with moisture.

Pure, unadulterated pheromones.

Jiang Luoluo reached out a finger, tracing the man’s sharp jawline down to his Adam’s apple. He then held up his finger for Huo Zedong to see. “Hubby, you’re sweating so much!”

The little omega’s voice was soft and sweet. His outstretched finger was pale pink, with beads of sweat from Huo Zedong’s face clinging to the tip.

Huo Zedong’s Adam’s apple bobbed quickly. “Mm.”

The butler’s voice carried from nearby. “Young Master, shall I begin setting out breakfast now?”

Without turning his head, Huo Zedong remained fixedly staring at the little omega’s face. “Later.”

The butler’s footsteps faded away. The little omega tugged at his hand. “Want to take a shower?”

Given Huo Zedong’s personality, he wouldn’t usually sit down to breakfast after a morning run without showering first.

Huo Zedong stared at his face, his voice low. “Wait a little longer.”

Jiang Luoluo blinked. “Wait for what?”

He looked utterly innocent, like a curious child.

Huo Zedong coughed, then lowered his head, gesturing. “The fabric of your pants is too thin.”

Jiang Luoluo followed his gaze and flushed crimson.

He fell silent, obediently waiting beside him.

The two remained silent for a long time. Jiang Luoluo, growing bored of waiting on the sofa, finally whined, “Are you ready yet?”

He looked down and saw that the situation was finally less obvious. He then happily shook Huo Zedong’s hand. “Hubby~ I’m ready~”

Huo Zedong held his hand as they walked upstairs. “You little rascal.”

After turning away the Little Omega, who had been peeking in at the bathroom door, eager to help, Huo Zedong wiped the water from his face in the mirror.

He brushed his hair back, revealing his full forehead.

It was rare for the little thing to show such consideration.

Unfortunately, his body was so delicate now that even if he came in to help, he’d only get in the way.

Most likely, he’d just cause trouble and then beg for forgiveness with tear-filled eyes.
