RIACMET chapter 25

A Big "Father Confession" Scene

Even Huang Qian, who only partially understood, couldn’t help but stare in amazement at the pile of supplies.

“My goodness… Little Nian, you really are the reincarnation of a hamster!”

The other six also came to their senses and knelt on the ground in unison.

“Brother Nian, please accept the greeting of your little brother, Jian Cheng!”

Jian Cheng had thick eyebrows, big eyes, and handsome features. He moved exaggeratedly, but spoke with sincerity.

Lu Ningzhou, his companion, pushed his gold-rimmed glasses and said,

“Brother Nian, please accept my greeting from Lu Ningzhou!”

“Brother Nian, I am Zhao Lei from Yunnan Province, and I wish to serve you with all my heart!”

Zhao Lei was a tall, strong man from the north with slightly darker skin. He was the vice-captain of the team. With his 195-cm height, he towered above the rest, becoming the team’s tallest member. He had a sturdy build, sharp facial features, and a loud voice. He spoke with great energy.

“Brother Nian, I’m your senior from campus, Tang Yi. Look at me…”

Jiang Nian turned around and saw Tang Yi approaching him with a big smile. At first glance, he seemed cheerful and clean-cut. People like this usually had very good relationships with the opposite sex in school.

“Godfather! I’m Liao Yu.”

Seeing that Tang Yi had established a connection as a schoolmate, Liao Yu—who always imitated Huang Qian—also opened his mouth.

Liao Yu was a wealthy, handsome second-generation rich kid who was hard to control. He was also Cheng Jing’s former employer. He was surrounded by bodyguards and servants every day. He had everything he wanted and gave money to people when he was unhappy.

After both of his parents died in a car accident, the young master, who had inherited a huge fortune, decided to become his own bodyguard to avoid people with hidden motives.

“Hamster—oh, no. Brother Nian, my name is Zhou Rongbin. I’m 22 years old, 188 cm tall, and I weigh 160 kg. I’m single. I don’t need thighs; just a few slices…”

“…”

Jiang Nian’s expression was hard to describe when he was called “Hamster” to his face. Knowing the other party meant no harm, he simply smiled. Zhou Rongbin appeared calm and confident, somewhat like Cheng Jing. However, he didn’t expect this.

The team members weren’t far apart in age. The youngest was Liao Yu, who was 20 years old. The oldest was Zhao Lei, who was 25. Zhou Rongbin was 22. The rest, including Huang Qian, were the same age as Cheng Jing.

However, Cheng Jing’s birthday fell on the first day of the Lunar New Year, making him the eldest among his friends.

The six men wore black outerwear and were tall, long-legged, and handsome. They knelt neatly by the pile of supplies.

Huang Qian laughed so hard that her body shook. Jiang Nian couldn’t help but laugh and stammered as he spoke:

“Everyone, don’t be polite. Don’t do this. Get up, wash your hands, and get ready to eat.”

The grand scene even caused him to have a social anxiety attack. These people, averaging 185 cm in height with long legs, were a group of handsome men who appeared cold and silent when not speaking. But once they opened their mouths…where did these street punks come from?!

Cheng Jing couldn’t take it anymore, so he walked over and kicked them one by one.

“So embarrassing! Just get out if you don’t want to eat!”

He kicked Zhou Rongbin especially hard:

“You reported your height and weight, yet you’re still unmarried. You’re asking for death!”

Was this guy trying to win someone over or steal his lover?

After getting to know each other, they didn’t immediately sit around the table to eat; they walked around the house as if they’d never seen the world before. Although they had plenty of supplies, Jiang Nian’s were far superior, and most importantly, complete!

Finally, everyone curiously asked how much all this gear cost.

Jiang Nian had asked Cheng Jing this question before, but Cheng Jing hadn’t answered. This time, when everyone was eagerly waiting, they heard him say faintly,

“The total is in the millions. Some items aren’t available on the market. Those things may seem insignificant, but they’re very expensive.”

Of course, consumption of items unavailable on the market was only one factor. The most important thing was that they had two space rings, each of which was more than twice the size of this place. Naturally, they spent more money.

Everyone’s mouths fell open. Although they thought it was expensive, they all said in unison,

“It’s worth buying. Money nowadays is just scrap paper.”

Liao Yu quietly regretted not using the balance on his bank card, which was comparable to his phone number. But, think about it. If Jiang Nian had told him before the toxic rain fell that the apocalypse was coming and asked him to stockpile supplies, he probably wouldn’t have believed it.

Jiang Nian invited everyone to eat again, and the group praised him before sitting around the table.

Cheng Jing had brought back a new set of tables and chairs from a furniture store in advance, knowing they were coming. They were just the right size to accommodate the group.

The food was delicious: chicken, duck, fish, meat, vegetables, and fruit. Some of the food didn’t look like it had come out of the freezer; it was too fresh for supplies distributed in rescue operations.

Everyone was curious, but they all silently agreed not to ask. This included Huang Qian — they all stayed quiet.

They just clung to the thighs of the “two godfathers” and didn’t ask any other questions they shouldn’t have. Capable people all have secrets.

The group, who hadn’t eaten normal food in a long time, devoured the meal. Jiang Nian even brought out some red wine.

Amidst the praise of “Godfather” and “Brother Nian,” Jiang Nian got drunk.

After sending the guests off, Cheng Jing cleaned up the leftovers. He had just sat down on the sofa when Jiang Nian came out of the bathroom. Sweaty and dazed, he approached Cheng Jing with a weak voice:

“Brother Jing~”

His breath reeked of alcohol with a hint of sweetness.

“I haven’t bathed. I’m dirty…”

Cheng Jing held his restless hand with dignity. Due to the power and water outages, they couldn’t bathe together; otherwise, it would waste water.

“Then hurry up and bathe…”

Jiang Nian said as he kept pestering the man.

Cheng Jing knew Jiang Nian was drunk, so he carried him back to the room, turned on the air conditioner, and went to the bathroom.

The drunk feeling was wonderful. Jiang Nian stared blankly at the ceiling, occasionally raising his hand and gesturing out of boredom. Then, he kissed the ring on his hand with a silly smile.

Until that tall figure pressed him down. He gathered his scattered thoughts and wrapped his hands around Cheng Jing’s neck.

“Brother Jing, I think I’m drunk…”

Cheng Jing reached out and pinched his earlobe.

“So what?”

“I want to go crazy…”

Jiang Nian said, wrapping both arms around the man’s neck. He pushed the man down, flipped over smoothly, straddled him, lowered his head, and bit him with drunken passion.

The kiss was passionate and lasted a long time before quickly turning heated.

By the end of September, with the help of some other team members, all the apartment buildings in Jiang Nian’s community had been cleaned out, and all the doors that needed to be sealed had been sealed.

Although it was impossible to completely prevent zombies from appearing — after all, the community was very large, with several side doors, garage entrances and exits, and walls — it was impossible to block it completely.

However, this made the community’s survivors feel much calmer.

By this time, there were a large number of zombies outside, and corpses were scattered on the ground. It was becoming increasingly difficult for rescue teams to transport and distribute supplies, and many rescue workers were dying every day.

Moreover, as time passed, supplies dwindled, and the situation was bound to become more chaotic.

Cheng Jing came back early today, but he was in a bad mood. He greeted Jiang Nian, who was busy in the kitchen, then went to the bathroom.
