Chapter 85: Gloomy, Obsessive Alpha Boss x Obedient, Sweet Little Omega 37
“Husband was wrong… It’s all Husband’s fault…”
The man pulled him into his arms, tightly encircling the Little Omega’s slender shoulders. His fingers brushed away the tears on his face.
Cupping his face, he whispered soothing words, afraid his voice would startle his precious baby.
“Husband knows he was wrong. Husband shouldn’t have rejected our baby.”
He bent slightly, kissing the Little Omega’s tear-reddened eye sockets. “Will you forgive your Husband?”
The Little Omega dodged his touch. “No…”
His petal-like lips pouted, and his tender, bun-like cheeks puffed out, clearly still angry.
“If you don’t want our baby, then I’ll keep it myself.”
The Little Omega’s voice choked with emotion. “It’s okay. I’ve been living well on my own. Please don’t bother me anymore.”
“I’m not worthy of you. I’m not worthy of being with you. I’m not worthy of having your baby.”
“You should marry an Omega from a suitable family. Please don’t come looking for me again.”
The more he spoke, the more aggrieved he became. Tears streamed down his cheeks, dripping onto his chin.
His lips remained stubbornly pressed together, making Huo Zedong’s heart ache.
“Who could I marry?”
Huo Zedong gently wiped away his tears, his voice soft and coaxing. “Baby, my heart is only with you. I can only marry you.”
“Husband was wrong. Husband will change.”
“Please, give Husband a chance, okay?”
The Little Omega pushed him away, wiped his tears, and walked forward.
Huo Zedong followed closely behind.
They reached the foot of the residential building. The Little Omega turned around, his watery eyes glaring at Huo Zedong with a milk-fed ferocity. [footnote] aka. little kitten [/footnote]
“Don’t you dare come up!”
He went upstairs, and sure enough, there were no footsteps behind him.
Halfway up the stairs, the Little Omega glanced back at the motionless figure in the stairwell and suddenly felt even more wronged.
He really wasn’t coming up.
Biting his lip, the Little Omega suddenly wanted to cry again.
No wonder Huo Zedong didn’t like him.
With such a twisted personality, no Alpha would ever like him.
The Little Omega continued climbing. The figure in the stairwell stirred, then lightened his footsteps and followed.
“Luo Luo!”
Just as Jiang Luoluo reached his floor, the door across the hall opened. Zhou Yucheng called out loudly, “Luo Luo, I made a late-night snack. Want to come eat with me?”
Jiang Luoluo was about to refuse when a voice echoed from the shadows of the stairwell, “He won’t.”
Zhou Yucheng stepped out of his apartment and glanced toward the stairwell.
It was the Alpha who had come out of Jiang Luoluo’s house that day.
Jiang Luoluo, seething with anger, pursed his lips and glared at Huo Zedong before turning to Zhou Yucheng.
“Great! I’m actually a little hungry~”
In truth, he wasn’t hungry at all. He just wanted to provoke Huo Zedong.
Zhou Yucheng’s eyes lit up. “I made lobster pasta and soy milk. Both are beneficial for pregnant Omegas and their babies. Don’t worry!”
Jiang Luoluo took a step forward, but before he could take another, a gust of wind swept past, and he was pulled back into Huo Zedong’s embrace.
“If my baby wants to eat, how about Daddy makes it for you?”
The Little Omega struggled in his arms. “No! No way! I don’t know you! I don’t want to eat your food…”
“Who are you anyway? Let him go! Or I’ll call the police!” Zhou Yucheng shouted.
The Little Omega in Huo Zedong’s arms struggled a little less.
He was angry at Huo Zedong, but he didn’t want him to be arrested…
Huo Zedong raised his eyelids and glanced at Zhou Yucheng, his dark pupils swirling with a cold, condescending arrogance.
“The child in his belly calls me Daddy. Who do you think I am?”
Zhou Yucheng was speechless.
The Alpha’s aura was too sharp, too oppressive, and had already made him uneasy.
“Who said he calls you Daddy? He wouldn’t call you Daddy…”
The Little Omega in his arms mumbled softly, his struggles gradually intensifying.
“He’s my own baby, I’ll let him call whoever he wants ‘Daddy’—”
His voice abruptly cut off.
He was pushed against the wall, a large hand cupping the back of his head. The man lowered his head and sealed his mouth with a kiss.
The Little Omega’s eyes widened instantly, his tear-reddened eyelids making him look vulnerable and pitiful.
The man’s arm wrapped around his waist, pinning him in place.
With nowhere to retreat and no escape, he could only be held captive in the man’s embrace and kissed.
Their intertwined breaths mingled, flushing the Little Omega’s cheeks and nearly causing him to collapse into the man’s arms.
The Alpha’s potent, liquor-like pheromones spread aggressively through the hallway.
The pheromones of a top-tier Alpha were particularly aggressive toward ordinary Alphas. Zhou Yucheng’s unease was already evident on his face. The weight of a thousand pounds pressed down on his back, his complexion turning deathly pale. He had to grip the doorknob with all his might to keep from collapsing.
The teary-eyed Little Omega, humiliated and enraged by the forced kiss in front of others, struggled to push him away. Stuttering, he stammered, “Huo Zedong, you—you—you—”
Huo Zedong’s slender fingers brushed away the water droplets from Jiang Luoluo’s lips. He soothed him, “Take your time, Luo Luo. Your husband is listening.”
“I hate you!”
The Little Omega yanked open the door and slammed it shut on Huo Zedong before he could react.
Two soft, small hands covered his face, his cheeks burning with heat.
“I’m going to sleep! Don’t follow me!”
Outside the door, Huo Zedong stared at the locked door, then squeezed the key in his pocket.
He couldn’t push too hard.
Even in negotiations, give-and-take and measured pacing were more effective.
“Alright,” he said, his voice slightly hoarse. “Get some rest, Luo Luo. Your husband will pick you up for breakfast tomorrow.”
He turned and glanced at Zhou Yucheng, who was still panting heavily. A faint smile tugged at his lips before he turned and left.
Jiang Luoluo leaned against the door for a long moment before sneaking over to the windowsill and carefully pulling back the curtain a crack.
The black car that had been parked outside their coffee shop was now parked in the parking lot beside their apartment complex’s garden.
Huo Zedong approached from the other side, looking up at Jiang Luoluo’s window.
The Little Omega hastily pulled the curtain closed.
When he opened it again, the familiar figure had vanished.
A hint of disappointment flickered across Jiang Luoluo’s face.
He patted his stomach, then climbed into bed and drifted off to sleep.
In the opposite building, a light flickered on in the window directly across from his.
A week had passed in the blink of an eye.
The Little Omega sat by the coffee shop window, glancing outside again.
Still no one.
He stirred his coffee with a spoon, a hint of annoyance in his movements, and pursed his lips.
Perhaps his recent coldness had discouraged Huo Zedong, who had suffered a setback and stopped coming.
Yesterday afternoon, Huo Zedong had left early, and the Little Omega had no idea where he’d gone.
And yet, he’d sworn he was the Little Omega’s darling, his precious treasure…
Men were all liars!
Less than a kilometer away, Huo Zedong sat in the back seat of a car, next to a flamboyantly dressed “woman.”
The “woman” adjusted the fake breasts stuffed into her bra, lifting them with both hands, and pleaded, “Brother Huo, can you let me go? I’ll die of embarrassment if I go out like this! How will I face my sister-in-law in the future?”
“Brother, look at my face! You’ve ruined it!”
The “woman” stared at the phone’s front-facing camera, tears welling up in her eyes.
Her hair was styled in large waves, her lips painted crimson, and her false eyelashes were so long they could trap flies.
She wore a deep V-neck black knit dress, and a Gi silk scarf was wrapped around her neck to hide her Adam’s apple.
Even she couldn’t bear to look at herself. She wailed at Huo Zedong, “Brother! You’re my real brother!!”
Huo Zedong glanced at her, then averted his gaze with a look of disgust.
“When you were plying me with alcohol, drawing my blood, and keeping me in the dark about his whereabouts, why didn’t you remember I was your brother?”
The words deflated Zheng Yang like a punctured balloon.
When he first saw Huo Zedong, he’d been so guilty he’d tried to run, only to be blocked by the assistant. After a few sentences, he felt brainwashed.
Externally, he’d accidentally leaked Jiang Luoluo’s address, betraying his pregnant little sister-in-law. Internally, he’d plied Brother Huo with alcohol, drawn his blood, and kept him in the dark, betraying Brother Huo again.
Zheng Yang sighed deeply. He was simply in debt to both of them!
In a few moments, the car pulled up across from the coffee shop. Huo Zedong tilted his chin, signaling Zheng Yang to get out.
Clutching the door handle tightly, Zheng Yang struggled internally. “Can I not go?”
Huo Zedong raised an eyebrow. “What do you think?”
Zheng Yang glanced at Jiang Luoluo sitting by the coffee shop window, then turned back to persuade Huo Zedong. “I don’t think this plan will work. Omegas need to be coaxed. If you push your sister-in-law too hard, she might refuse to come back with you!”
“That’s none of your concern.” Huo Zedong pushed open the door, walked around, and opened the opposite door. “Get out.”
Zheng Yang stretched out his leg and grimaced at his own unbearable outfit: black stockings and high heels. Gritting his teeth, he muttered, “You’re ruthless, Huo Zedong!”
“Don’t you dare regret this!”
He leaned on Huo Zedong’s arm to get out of the car. Having never worn high heels before, he nearly stumbled. He lurched forward, wrapping his arms around Huo Zedong’s neck, and then poked Huo Zedong’s chest with his large hand, perfectly matching his 185cm height. In a high-pitched voice, he whined, “You deadbeat, why aren’t you holding me?”
Huo Zedong looked at him with a complicated expression, his face turning green. “Take your filthy paws off me.”
Zheng Yang winked at him and quickly stood up straight, his arms, clad in black lace gloves, clinging tightly to Huo Zedong. “Are you trying to make your sister-in-law jealous? From now on, I’ll cooperate perfectly, darling~”
Inside the window, the familiar car pulled up, and the Little Omega’s eyes lit up. He quickly pretended not to care, averting his gaze and focusing on the book on the table.
Half a minute passed, and there was no movement from the car.
He turned a page and glanced furtively at the vehicle.
Huo Zedong, in a casual black suit, opened the other car door.
Was there someone else?
The Little Omega wondered, his watery eyes blinking.
The next second, a tall, extremely voluptuous woman emerged from the car and threw herself into Huo Zedong’s arms.
The Little Omega’s pupils instantly contracted.
“He’s my own baby. I’ll let him call whoever he wants ‘Daddy’—”
—And that, officer, is when Jiang Luoluo caught emotional fire in the stairwell.
