TYMRHBDES Chapter 89

The Gloomy, Obsessive Alpha Boss x The Sweet, Compliant Little Omega (41)

Unfortunately, the man holding him from behind only called out, “Wife,” and made no further moves.

The man’s deep voice was slightly hoarse, making the endearment all the more alluring.

The Little Omega’s face flushed crimson, as if on fire. He buried his head in the covers and pleaded softly, “Husband… can we get up now? We have to serve tea to your parents today. I can’t be late…”

His shoulder blades were being covered in dense kisses, causing him to tremble slightly. He was then pulled forcefully back into the man’s embrace.

“No need to rush. My parents will understand.”

Understand?

Understand what?

Understand that a single night of bliss is worth a thousand gold coins?

The Little Omega’s eyelashes fluttered, and he whined softly, “Husband…”

As soon as he called out the endearment, the man holding him chuckled softly, “Wife…”

This endearment completely delighted Huo Zedong.

His precious treasure was finally and completely his, brought home as his wife and pampered in his villa.

Carrying his child.

Nowhere else to go but by his side.

After much soft pleading and several kisses, Huo Zedong reluctantly agreed to get up.

After washing up and getting dressed, the Little Omega, looking radiant in his new clothes, gingerly held his stomach as he walked out of the bedroom.

The scent of two intertwined pheromones lingered heavily in the room, a clear indication of the night’s wild abandon.

He dared not look back, hurrying to open the door, but a large hand caught his. “Take it easy, darling.”

The Little Omega’s cheeks flushed slightly as he continued walking, the color deepening with each step.

By the time he reached the staircase, his face was crimson.

Huo Zedong, thinking his legs were weak, reached out to carry him down. The Little Omega slowly shook his head. “I can manage.”

In the living room, Father Huo and Mother Huo had been waiting patiently for the newly married couple.

The slender Little Omega walked with an awkward gait, as if his legs were barely able to move.

Though the weather wasn’t cold, he wore a high-collared shirt, covering himself completely.

Their son, on the other hand, looked refreshed and satisfied, every line of his face radiating contentment.

Father Huo averted his gaze, while Mother Huo wore a look of helpless resignation.

The tea ceremony concluded quickly. Seeing the Little Omega’s pale, exhausted face, Mother Huo didn’t press him to stay. She quickly urged Huo Zedong to take him back to rest.

Clutching a box of jewelry, the Little Omega obediently bid farewell to his in-laws.

After escorting the Little Omega back to their room, Huo Zedong was summoned back downstairs, where he faced a rare scolding from both his parents—a mixed-gender double-team he hadn’t experienced since childhood.

In the late stages of pregnancy, the Little Omega found walking a bit difficult. His belly was too large, and the baby inside loved to kick and wiggle, like a little piglet rooting around. The baby was growing rapidly, taking up more and more space. After just a few steps, the Little Omega would usually start panting. He wasn’t one for physical activity anyway; if Huo Zedong hadn’t been there to coax him out, he could have easily spent the entire day sprawled on the sofa, playing games.

Strangely, despite his reduced activity, the Little Omega’s appetite had increased significantly. He was always hungry and had developed a craving for sweets. Often, when Huo Zedong was away, he would sneak into the kitchen and pester the chef for treats.

After eating his fill, he would settle into the rocking chair on the balcony, swaying gently as he watched the sunset paint the sky with vibrant hues. He’d wait there for his husband to finish his work in the study.

Sometimes, Huo Zedong would take too long, and the Little Omega would slowly waddle over to the study. Though his body was heavy and cumbersome, he moved with the agility of a little penguin, peeking curiously through the study door.

As if sensing his presence, the man at the desk looked up. His handsome face softened with a mixture of amusement and affection. He pulled the Little Omega onto his lap and kissed his soft lips.

“What did you sneak to eat this afternoon?”

The Little Omega shook his head innocently, his soft voice denying he’d eaten anything.

But his acting was terrible. Every mischievous thought flashed across his face, making his deception transparent.

“If you didn’t sneak anything, why are our baby’s lips so sweet?”

Breathless from the kiss, the Little Omega’s eyes glistened with moisture. In a coquettish voice, he blamed Huo Zedong for not staying with him, which had driven him to sneak snacks.

His face, dazzlingly beautiful, wore an air of spoiled entitlement.

He resembled a rose carefully cultivated in the deepest part of a garden, or a golden canary cherished in the palm of a hand—delicate and precious.

The final months of pregnancy flew by especially quickly. He was spared the unpleasant morning sickness of the early stages and didn’t have to endure Huo Zedong’s tireless advances like he had in the middle trimester.

Yet, whenever his husband’s gaze fell upon him, a hint of resentment lingered in his eyes.

The Little Omega remained blissfully carefree, while the baby in his belly ran wild, occasionally bulging against his skin in a prominent bump.

Tiny fists or little feet, their shapes were clearly discernible.

By the 38th week of pregnancy, fetal movement had noticeably decreased.

Perhaps with less space to move, the baby’s movements had become more restricted.

As usual, after dinner, Huo Zedong held the Little Omega’s hand and led him on a stroll through the garden. Suddenly, the Little Omega stopped.

Huo Zedong assumed he was just being clingy and didn’t want to walk anymore. He was about to coax him into taking two more laps when the Little Omega stammered, his small hands clutching his belly:

“Husband… I think he’s coming…”

Huo Zedong’s expression instantly changed.

At the hospital, the medical team Huo Zedong had invested in earlier, working alongside the obstetricians, wheeled the Little Omega into the delivery room.

Huo Zedong, barred from entering, paced anxiously outside, his usually calm and composed face etched with worry.

Though the hallway was quiet, Huo Zedong was convinced he could hear the Little Omega’s faint cries.

His heart felt as if a giant hand had seized it, squeezing it until his chest ached with sharp, throbbing pain.

His precious Luo Luo was still so young, needing coaxing even to drink water or take medicine. Huo Zedong couldn’t imagine how terrified he must be facing this alone.

Luo Luo was also timid, like a startled little rabbit. Without Huo Zedong to comfort him, he would surely cry inconsolably at the slightest upset.

His chest tightened with anxiety, Huo Zedong dialed a number. “I need to go in and be with him during labor.”

Once inside, he found his precious Luo Luo indeed crying.

Perhaps because the surrounding faces were unfamiliar, Luo Luo dared not cry out loud, instead clutching the sheets and silently shedding tears.

“Don’t be afraid, we’ll all be here with you. There’s no danger,” the understanding Omega midwife whispered soothingly. Jiang Luoluo nodded, tears streaming uncontrollably from his eyes, tracing paths down his temples and into his light golden curls.

“I’ll stay with him,” Huo Zedong’s deep voice resonated. The Little Omega’s spirit lifted, his tear-blurred eyes searching for the familiar figure.

Like a little rabbit finally finding refuge after falling into a trap, Luo Luo bit his lip, wiping away his large, glistening tears with a delicate hand. He whispered, “Husband…”

Huo Zedong, clad in sterile scrubs, sat on a chair beside the bed. His large hand gently wiped away the tears clinging to the Little Omega’s eyelashes, then he lowered his head to kiss his forehead.

“Your husband is here. Don’t be afraid.”

The midwife watched the Alpha’s back in shock, about to intervene, but the attending physician shook his head.

In their society, while Omegas were rare and precious, they received little respect.

In an Alpha-dominated world, Omegas were treated as mere breeding tools. According to their established norms, childbirth was an Omega’s natural duty.

Even when the birthing process posed significant risks, they turned a blind eye.

They relentlessly promoted the “Omega Sacrifice Theory,” brainwashing Omegas with the same message repeatedly:

“Childbirth is every Omega’s mission.”

“Every Omega must endure this moment. Just bear with it.”

“Great Omegas have given birth to countless children, making immense contributions to society. They are noble Omegas, willing to sacrifice for the greater good.”

Yet few ever asked if those Omegas felt pain or fear when pushed onto the delivery bed.

Alphas who could mark multiple Omegas stood high above, waiting outside the delivery room for their children to be born, never accompanying the birth.

That was something only beta couples, who indulged in such feminine sentiments, would do.

As Alphas at the apex of the social gender pyramid, they wouldn’t stoop to witness such a bloody and tedious spectacle.

They even boasted about it proudly, fearing that witnessing such a bloody scene might ruin their interest in Omegas forever!

Even when hospitals repeatedly explained that medical instruments would shield them from the bloody details, and that accompanying the birth wouldn’t expose them to anything gruesome, it made no difference.

So the practice of male partners accompanying births persisted, with Alphas accompanying their partners in less than one in a thousand cases.

This situation had become so commonplace that midwives had grown accustomed to it, even instinctively trying to drive away any Alpha who entered the delivery room.

It was the attending physician’s gaze that reminded her.

The midwife silently stepped back a few paces, her gaze shifting from disapproval to admiration and envy.

The Little Omega sobbed twice, clutching Huo Zedong’s hand as if it were a lifeline.

His face was abnormally pale from the pain, his hair soaked with sweat, his watery eyes filled with a hint of fear. His voice was barely a whisper:

“Husband, you shouldn’t come in…”

During the late stages of his pregnancy, he had done some research online and learned a bit about this kind of birthing support.

No Alpha ever came in.

And he knew he must look terrible right now, something he didn’t want Huo Zedong to see.

He was also afraid that Huo Zedong would react the way the internet said they often did—that seeing him like this would make him lose interest…

The Little Omega’s face was deathly pale, and his soft, milky voice trembled as he gently reminded him.

Huo Zedong’s heart ached. He brushed a long finger across the Little Omega’s cheek, then bent down to kiss his forehead.

“Why shouldn’t your husband come in?” he asked softly, his eyes so gentle they seemed to seal off the world. “My wife and child are both here. Tell me, darling, should your husband be here or not?”

The Little Omega blinked, tears welling up in his eyes again.

Huo Zedong stayed by his side, completely focused on him. He kissed his cheek, whispering soothing words.

“Darling, guess whether our child will look more like you or me?”

“Hmm… how about we bring out all the vintage wines from the cellar for the full moon celebration?”

“If it’s a little Omega as beautiful as our darling, we’ll save the best bottles and bury them underground. We’ll dig them up when she gets married…”
