ISMW Chapter 62

Yu Chen’s bold statement left the entire royal guard squad in awe.

Lou Di couldn’t help but ask him: “Yu Chen, are you really not afraid of being insulted?”

Yu Chen countered with a question: “If I were afraid, would I have posted that?”

“Fair point.”

Lou Di thought about it and agreed—given Yu Chen’s psychological resilience, it would be very difficult to break him. She turned to pat Fu Yanxi and Gui Yan on the shoulders, advising them: “You two should stop provoking Yu Chen in the future. He’s already fierce when he curses people, and if he keeps improving, he’ll become ridiculously strong at it.”

Unexpectedly, Yu Chen overheard her comment. After a few seconds of silent contemplation, he said: “I’ll curse less in the future.”

Fu Yanxi was drinking water at the time and burst out laughing upon hearing this, spraying water all over Gui Yan’s face. Scratching his head in apology, he said: “Sorry, Gui Yan—Yu Chen’s joke made me laugh.”

Yu Chen, however, genuinely tried to restrain himself. Instead of saying “You’re sick,” he abbreviated it to: “Go take some medicine.”

Gui Yan wiped the water off his face and stared at Yu Chen warily: “Are you planning to hit me instead?”

Yu Chen replied: “You and Fu Yanxi should take medicine together.”

Hit someone? Was Yu Chen trying to get Commander Dike to increase his training intensity even more?

“You’re the one who needs it,” Fu Yanxi said “concernedly.” “Don’t bottle things up—I’m worried you’ll turn into a psychological mess.”

Yu Chen couldn’t be bothered to argue with them. He was about to raise his middle finger to express his feelings but remembered the last time he did so. It had been mistaken as an invitation for something indecent and attracted unwanted attention from online creeps. So instead of completing the gesture, he switched to raising his pinky finger—a much less aggressive move.

“Yu Chen, this isn’t like you.” Even Lu You noticed something was off and pointedly asked: “What’s gotten into you?”

Yu Chen: “…”

It wasn’t that anything had gotten into him—it was just that ever since discovering Yun Xunlan’s peculiar fetish, Yu Chen felt strange every time he cursed someone. Was this considered cheating?

No—it definitely wasn’t.

When Yu Chen cursed people, it was because he genuinely wanted to curse them—there were no ulterior motives.

But when others cursed Yun Xunlan? That definitely counted as cheating.

Why? Because Yun Xunlan clearly enjoyed it.

He liked it so much that he needed to hear it every day; without hearing it, he felt uncomfortable. So when others insulted Yun Xunlan, it essentially made him feel good—which was undeniably cheating.

Therefore, Yu Chen absolutely wouldn’t allow anyone other than himself to curse Yun Xunlan.

After deciding to launch a campaign to eliminate any potential threats to his relationship (“green hat hazards”), Yu Chen searched Starnet and found that while the proportion of people insulting Yun Xunlan compared to the galaxy’s total population was minuscule, the absolute number was still significant. Some of these individuals were from the Corona Empire—if one account was banned, they’d create seven or eight more to continue their attacks. If not for the fact that the four major interstellar platforms were controlled by Jian Holdings, deleting comments and banning accounts might not have been so efficient; they’d have had to wait for the Galactic Empire’s royal PR department to slowly file lawsuits instead.

After pondering for a moment, Yu Chen came to a conclusion: *Fine—if Yun Xunlan has a peculiar fetish, so be it. Being with someone who has a unique preference doesn’t matter anyway. After all, Yun Xunlan loves him—otherwise, why would Yun Xunlan choose to be with him despite all the people insulting him online?*

Because what they had was love.

And so Yu Chen decided he should learn to accept his lover’s little quirks—let go of his personal refinement—and embrace a more carefree life.

Yu Chen managed to calm himself down for the second time.

He steadied his mindset and, while learning insult techniques from the online trolls targeting him, seized every spare moment. Within a 15-minute dinner break, he managed to curse out 46 idiots who had insulted Yun Xunlan—an average of three per minute. This impressive feat earned him yet another three-day ban on private messaging, despite his ban having just been lifted.

But Yu Chen still felt it wasn’t enough. He decided to register a new account and continue his tirade.

After registering the new account, Yu Chen refreshed his Starnet interface and was immediately pushed a new post—related to him.

Clicking into it, Yu Chen saw that the post was made by someone named “Fish Expert.”

The username style instantly reminded Yu Chen of the online creep who had mistaken his middle-finger gesture as an invitation for hookups. Upon further inspection, Yu Chen confirmed that the account owner was indeed that same internet pervert.

Their account name had evolved from “Novice Fish Keeper” to “Fish Master” and now to “Fish Expert.”

*Let’s see what nonsense they’re up to now,* Yu Chen thought as he frowned and clicked on Fish Expert’s new post.

To his surprise, Fish Expert was actually speaking up for him in this post—

**[Fish Expert]: I’m here to provide evidence. In the P1 chart listing all accounts claiming to have been harassed by “Lanlan’s,” at least four-fifths of them—even if they aren’t controlled by the same person—are clearly part of the same group or organization. These accounts’ real IP locations are all in the L3698 galaxy cluster of the Corona Empire, and they’ve all posted malicious comments about Yun Xunlan before. Attached are screenshots of the evidence.**

Yu Chen clicked into the images attached to Fish Expert’s post and saw that not only had this person provided screenshots of deleted malicious comments targeting Yun Xunlan from those accounts, but they also included screenshots of private messages showing Yun Xunlan sending red packets to those users.

The screenshots covered all accounts except for newly registered ones within the past week or accounts that had never posted anything before—everything else had evidence attached.

In the comment section of Fish Expert’s post, a highly upvoted comment read:

**[Holy crap? Now I really believe Major Yu was falsely accused. This account owner is infamous as the number-one hater of the Third Highness—they send red packets to anyone who insults him!]**

Other netizens followed up:

**[Seriously?]**

**[You guys don’t know? A blogger ranked third in their family once tried baiting this person and actually received a red packet after being spotted. The blogger didn’t claim it and later posted proof to avoid being sued by the royal PR department. You can check it out.]**

**[I checked—it’s true. Incredible! Major Yu has suffered so much injustice that even Corona’s dogs are coming forward to clear his name.]**

**[Wait—the account owner’s IP is in the Galactic Empire, not Corona. Also, I looked at their daily posts—they’re ridiculously rich…]**

**[The account owner is from the Galactic Empire? What is the royal PR department even doing? Why haven’t they shut down this wild dog’s account and sued them yet?]**

To be honest, if Yu Chen weren’t a royal guard and if his argument with “San’er Lacks Calcium” hadn’t involved Yun Xunlan, this matter wouldn’t have gained much traction—even if it had been turned into a PDF. The controversy wouldn’t have reached such heights; after a few days, it wouldn’t even trend locally.

But Fish Expert’s post directly tied the situation to Yun Xunlan—and that changed everything dramatically.

……

The comment section under Fish Expert’s post initially included a few discussions about Yu Chen, but within just a few minutes, Yun Xunlan’s fans caught wind of the situation and swarmed in. They pushed the post to the top of the trending page, and suddenly, no one was paying attention to Yu Chen anymore. Instead, the comments were flooded with mentions demanding the Galactic Empire’s PR department deal with Fish Expert’s accusations. This ultimately triggered a new wave of anti-corruption investigations.

Some netizens dug deeper and discovered that Fish Expert’s “support” for accounts insulting Yun Xunlan could be traced back as far as five years. Despite this long history, Fish Expert’s account remained active, leading netizens to speculate whether Fish Expert might secretly be a high-ranking traitor within the Galactic Empire.

Otherwise, how could they have survived years of reports without being dealt with? Such immunity would require significant power and connections.

If not a high-ranking official, then perhaps they were connected to Jian Holdings. After all, everyone knew about the long-standing feud between Jian Holdings and the Galactic Empire’s royal family. Since Jian Holdings had shares in the major platforms, it was likely that the platforms wouldn’t ban Fish Expert’s account either.

Yu Chen shared these suspicions.

When his beloved et-S7 had been snatched away by this person in a brazen act of theft, Yu Chen had privately investigated Fish Expert but found no information. The only thing he could confirm was that Fish Expert’s IP was located in Central City on Imperial Star, meaning the person behind the account was likely also in Central City.

Damn it—Fish Expert really was a perverted creep!

And possibly even a perverted alpha male creep!

As a male alpha himself, Yu Chen had been harassed by this person before. Yun Xunlan was also a male alpha, and now Yu Chen strongly suspected that Fish Expert’s hatred for Yun Xunlan stemmed from unrequited love—if they couldn’t have Yun Xunlan, they wanted to destroy him!

Five years ago, his wife was only thirteen years old!

Damn it—this person had maxed out their “scumbag buff!”

The more Yu Chen thought about it, the angrier he became. Meanwhile, some netizens added fuel to the fire in the comment section:

**[Hurry up! Someone go call Major Yu to curse this person out!]**

**[Major Yu, come challenge this person to a fight! @Lanlan’s]**

**[Dear Major Yu, if you curse this person out for us, we’ll help you curse out those insulting you. @Lanlan’s]**

There were countless similar mentions, but even if no one had tagged him, Yu Chen would have done it anyway.

Just as Yu Chen opened his new account and clicked into the private chat window with Fish Expert, Commander Dike appeared at the cafeteria door and began shouting at him from afar: “Yu Chen! Are you done eating yet? Finish up quickly and get to training! You can argue with people online after you’re done.”

Fu Yanxi burst out laughing again: “Commander Dike—you know about this too?”

Dike clicked his tongue and replied meaningfully: “I know plenty of things. You little brats don’t understand anything.”

“Commander Dike,” Gui Yan asked curiously, “did Yu Chen do something wrong? Why is he training every day now? I see him doing extra training morning, noon, and night—it’s almost as frequent as his susceptible periods.”

“He didn’t do anything wrong. I’m doing this for his own good—to help him reach SSS rank sooner,” Dike said with a raised eyebrow. “Gui Yan, if you want to rank up too, I can arrange for you to join Yu Chen in extra training.”

“No need! No need!” Gui Yan waved his hands frantically in fear. “Commander Dike—I’m not in a hurry. I’ll take things naturally. Please continue focusing on helping Yu Chen instead.”

Commander Dike was a bit puzzled: “Yu Chen, why are you always in your susceptible period? How about I give you the night off and you go see a doctor? Pheromone imbalance isn’t something to take lightly.”

Yu Chen wanted to explain that he wasn’t experiencing pheromone imbalance but didn’t know how to describe his frequent susceptible periods as “love sickness.” Since his relationship with Yun Xunlan wasn’t public, everyone still saw him as single—there was no reason for him to have “love sickness.”

Coincidentally, Yu Chen needed to visit Pei Xingtin to get a Level III specialized injection to suppress his pheromone pressure and maintain the appropriate level for an SS-class alpha. So he agreed with Commander Dike: “Alright, I’ll go see the doctor.”

Meanwhile, Yun Xunlan, alone in his office, was very pleased to see that his latest post had been pushed to the top of the trending page. He continued taking screenshots of private messages and comments from netizens insulting him, saving them and organizing them into text versions for his *Bedtime Reading Collection*.

He said to the system: “Good thing I have backups of malicious comments and transaction records—they’ll help clear Yu Chen’s name.”

Recently, Yun Xunlan had been completing his daily tasks quickly and efficiently, leaving the system with little to say. Now, however, the system couldn’t help but marvel: “You sly human—two birds with one stone, huh? You’ve helped Yu Chen clarify things while collecting a bunch of insults for yourself. You’ll be able to complete your tasks lying down every day from now on.”

Yun Xunlan replied calmly: “The insults don’t matter. What’s important is that I don’t want my baby to suffer unjust accusations.”

“But there are so many people reporting you now,” the system reminded him. “Be careful not to have your real identity exposed.”

“It won’t happen,” Yun Xunlan said confidently. “I’ve already spoken with Wenxi—he’s encrypted my information. There are only a handful of people in the galaxy who can crack his encryption algorithm. If these people do manage to uncover my real identity, they won’t make it public—they’ll contact me directly first.”

In short, Yu Chen’s side had received clarification, while Yun Xunlan didn’t have to worry about completing his tasks—a situation not just beneficial for both sides but overwhelmingly successful.
