It was Friday night, and the streets were packed. As Kyungsoo walked through the crowd, he tried to think of how to break the news to Noeul without disappointing him—but it wasn’t something he could figure out in ten minutes.

Across the crosswalk, a guy in a white baseball cap was waving enthusiastically. Even his shadow looked like it was waving. The familiar figure took a step forward, but darting traffic forced him to step back.

Noeul started gesturing from twenty steps away. ‘Should I come over, or is hyung coming?’ Everyone around him was sneaking glances at the flailing tall guy. He could’ve just texted, but clearly, that thought hadn’t crossed his mind.

When the light turned green, Kyungsoo strode across, stepping only on the white lines. Noeul waited with a bright smile, eyes crinkled.

Kyungsoo flinched at the whispered endearment. Honey?! When he shot Noeul a horrified look, the other just tilted his head in confusion.

“Don’t. I told you not to.”

“We’ve been newlyweds for like, 30 minutes.”

That was about the game title! Kyungsoo wanted to scold him but tried to phrase it more gently—something Noeul might understand.
