OFCC – Chapter 24

Seeing Mu Yanxi with her back to her, not saying a word, Yi Wulan hesitated before tentatively asking, “Are you still angry?”

Mu Yanxi: …

Mu Yanxi was about to go crazy with anger.

But when she remembered that she herself had asked Yi Wulan to apply the medicine, she couldn’t curse at her, even if she was so angry she wanted to spit blood and run away immediately.

She could only lie with her back to her, grit her teeth, and force a few words through them: “I. Am. Not. Angry.”

Hearing this, Yi Wulan breathed a sigh of relief.

After tidying the first-aid kit and placing it on the bedside table, she picked up the plastic wrap she had specifically brought upstairs. “What are you going to do with this plastic wrap?”

Mu Yanxi’s heart skipped a beat. She quickly snatched the plastic wrap and placed it on her side of the bedside table. “Thanks.”

Yi Wulan was a little confused. She glanced at the time. “I’ll turn off the lights then?”

Mu Yanxi didn’t respond. She felt like she was about to grind her molars to dust, her entire body filled with an unprecedented sense of frustration.

And, a tiny bit of shame.

Not even in her past life, after breaking free from the world’s consciousness and realizing Yi Jingming had deceived her from start to finish, had Mu Yanxi ever felt as mortified as she did now, burrowing her head deeper and deeper into the covers.

With a click, the overhead light went out, leaving only the dim, warm bedside lamp to conscientiously fulfill its duty of providing light.

Perhaps because of the light, after huddling under the covers for a while, Mu Yanxi started to feel like she couldn’t breathe.

“What’s there to be afraid of?” Mu Yanxi told herself with a deadpan expression. “Yi Wulan is just an old fossil who’s almost thirty and has never been in a relationship. All you have to do is use a few tricks, think a little, and you can make her die of shame and anger.”

Comforting herself this way, Mu Yanxi finally poked her head out to breathe the fresh air, deciding to turn the page on what had just happened.

Besides, it wasn’t the first time she’d embarrassed herself. There was nothing she couldn’t get over.

With her back to Yi Wulan, Mu Yanxi couldn’t see her expression. The bedroom became so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

She moved her injured foot. The residual warmth on it had gradually faded, and the cool medicine seeped into the wound, making the pain almost unnoticeable.

Thinking about it, Yi Wulan had just applied medicine for her. Shouldn’t she say thank you?

So, having finally composed herself, Mu Yanxi turned over and said with feigned calmness, “Yi Wulan?”

Yi Wulan had already lain down at some point. Hearing her voice, she turned her head slightly. “Hm?”

“Um, thanks.”

“For what?”

What else could it be? For helping me apply the medicine, of course!

The words reached her lips, but Mu Yanxi swallowed them back down.

It just felt a little strange. She had been taken advantage of so much, and she still had to thank Yi Wulan?

That made no sense.

So Mu Yanxi changed her phrasing. “Thank you for standing up for me at the Yi family’s home.”

To make her gratitude seem more sincere, Mu Yanxi even scooted a little closer to Yi Wulan.

She asked with concern, “Yi Wulan, are you sure it’s okay that you treated Yi Jingming like that at the Yi residence today? For example, will it be difficult to explain to the company or your father?”

“Someone at the company will naturally take over his work,” Yi Wulan said in a flat voice, her tone unreadable. “As for my father, you don’t need to worry.”

“That’s good.” Mu Yanxi sighed. “I’d only heard that the Yi family was large, but after these last two encounters, I’ve realized just how complicated your family is. But since you made an example of Yi Jingming today, they should quiet down for a while, right?”

In her past life, Mu Yanxi had never found out who leaked the Shuilin Fang project online and hyped it up. Since she remembered what happened before, she had to make arrangements in advance this time.

Competition from rivals was inevitable, but she suspected even more that the problem was internal to the Yi family.

“There will always be people who won’t give up.” Yi Wulan rubbed the space between her eyebrows. “Compared to earning money and power through their own achievements, more people want to take shortcuts. They are all members of the Yi family, so naturally, they have expectations for Rongjia.”

“This afternoon, before you came to the living room, quite a few people in the Yi family were talking about the Shuilin Fang project. Their level of interest is not low.”

Mu Yanxi deliberately emphasized the words ‘not low’.

Yi Wulan’s eyes lowered slightly, obscuring the emotion within them. “Okay, I understand.”

Mu Yanxi had never experienced this kind of wealthy family infighting. The Mu family’s shares had been allocated long ago; Mu Yanqing was responsible for making money, and she was responsible for spending it. She praised her sincerely, “Yi Wulan, it’s really impressive that you were able to take control of Rongjia.”

Yi Wulan raised an eyebrow. “Just say what’s on your mind.”

“I just wanted to praise you. Look at you, you’re beautiful and capable, and there are plenty of celebrities in the entertainment industry who want to ride on your coattails.” Mu Yanxi changed the subject, looking at Yi Wulan with feigned sadness. “Besides me, have you really never had anyone else before?”

“Why don’t you think about yourself, Miss Mu?” Yi Wulan said meaningfully. “Yi Jingming, Guan Zhou… and there were quite a few people in the Yi family who wanted to marry you back then. Why don’t you tell me first how many male confidants you have?”

Mu Yanxi’s gaze didn’t waver in the slightest. She curled her lips. “Yi Wulan, are you angry?”

“I’m just playing along with you.”

“Then…” Mu Yanxi drew out her words, her fingertips playfully twirling a strand of Yi Wulan’s hair. “Why don’t you play along and tell me if you’ve had any other female or male confidants before?”

The topic circled back and was thrown to Yi Wulan again.

“None.” Yi Wulan pulled her hair back.

“Aren’t you clear about the matter with Yi Jingming and Guan Zhou? As for the others in the Yi family,” Mu Yanxi’s lips slowly curved into a smile as she blinked, “is it my fault for being too beautiful?”

Yi Wulan sized Mu Yanxi up for a moment and didn’t deny her statement.

She just slowly averted her gaze. “It’s getting late. Let’s get to sleep.”

Mu Yanxi looked thoughtful and curled her lips. “Okay.”

About half an hour later, as the sound of long, steady breaths came from beside her, Mu Yanxi slowly opened her eyes and asked, “Yi Wulan? Are you asleep?”

The only response was the same steady breathing.

They were only a hand’s breadth apart, so close that Mu Yanxi could feel each of Yi Wulan’s even breaths. The faint scent of shower gel mixed with Yi Wulan’s usual cool, woody fragrance, continuously suffusing the air.

As their breaths mingled, the base of her ears grew hot.

Mu Yanxi closed her eyes, trying to calm her chaotic thoughts.

But the more she tried, the more she thought about what she was about to do. And so, the harder it was to calm down.

As she was studying Yi Wulan, she was suddenly drawn to a speck of red—on Yi Wulan’s neck, just below her earlobe, was a very light-colored red mole.

Mu Yanxi couldn’t resist and gently touched it with her finger.

The mole was on the sensitive side of her neck. The sleeping Yi Wulan moved unconsciously, but it was Mu Yanxi’s finger that trembled first.

She quickly moved her hand to the back of Yi Wulan’s head and gently sent over some of her special ability, trying to make Yi Wulan sleep more deeply.

To hide her own guilt.

A dozen or so seconds later, Mu Yanxi withdrew her hand and looked at Yi Wulan from the side, contemplating the best way to proceed.

If Yi Wulan were awake right now, she would definitely stop her, and might even get angry enough to go sleep in the next room.

But Yi Wulan was fast asleep, leaving her free to do as she pleased.

Thinking this, Mu Yanxi felt a sense of triumph, as if she had evened the score.

Outside, the stars gradually hid behind the clouds, as if making an early exit. Inside, under the soft glow of the bedside lamp, the air seemed to congeal.

Mu Yanxi carefully climbed out from under the covers. The good luck gems on her anklet clinked together, making a faint sound.

Mu Yanxi froze, turning her head to look. She could almost still feel the touch of Yi Wulan’s palm on it from earlier.

Delicate, and coolly warm.

The hem of Mu Yanxi’s nightgown fell casually, spreading over Yi Wulan’s body. The transparent plastic wrap was pulled out, hovering over Yi Wulan as she measured it, yet she hesitated to act.

When she finally tore off two suitably sized pieces of plastic wrap, she used her fingertips to gently place them over Yi Wulan’s lips, one on top and one on the bottom, leaving a gap in the middle.

Mu Yanxi lowered her eyes and adjusted it, trying to make the plastic wrap adhere more closely to the skin around Yi Wulan’s lips, smoothing out every single wrinkle.

After finally getting it placed just right, Mu Yanxi stared at the red lips so close to her, and her breathing became ragged.

She didn’t know if it was out of fear or anticipation.

But now that she had the upper hand, she felt more triumphant than anything else. She wanted to say something teasing, but felt it was pointless since Yi Wulan couldn’t hear her.

She didn’t know how long that bit of power she’d transferred would last. Delays could bring complications, so it was better to get it over with.

With that thought, Mu Yanxi no longer hesitated and leaned in directly.

Mu Yanxi’s actions were direct, but in truth, she had no experience herself.

Her only other kiss had been a chaotic act while she wasn’t fully conscious.

There was no time to look up instructional videos now, so she simply pressed on Yi Wulan’s shoulders and leaned in.

There was no technique to speak of. In her haste, she used too much force, pushing past Yi Wulan’s lips and bumping into her teeth.

“Oof…” Mu Yanxi jerked back, rubbing her aching lips. She could faintly taste a hint of blood.

Mu Yanxi had thought that with the two pieces of plastic wrap, she could both avoid direct contact and conveniently transfer her power to heal Yi Wulan.

But she never expected that her action would push past Yi Wulan’s lips and hit her teeth, nor did she expect that even with the plastic wrap, as their lips brushed, she could still clearly feel the fine texture of the other’s lips.

Soft and slightly cool, with a hint of moisture, and what seemed to be the sweet, fresh scent of toothpaste.

It was far clearer and more real than her memories from after she sobered up.

It made the base of her ears turn red uncontrollably.

That brief, fleeting kiss was clearly not enough to transfer her power.

Mu Yanxi bit her lower lip, hesitating for several seconds before leaning in again and smoothing out the plastic wrap once more.

Even though Mu Yanxi was the one taking the initiative, the heat in her face kept rising, a faint blush spreading across her cheeks, as if she were the one being taken advantage of.

She braced her hands on either side of Yi Wulan, but for a simple kiss, she struggled for a long time to find the right way to approach it, as if nothing felt quite right.

A strand of her hair fell and gently brushed the hollow of Yi Wulan’s neck. Mu Yanxi casually pushed it aside.

Unexpectedly, her other supporting arm began to lose strength. Seeing that she was about to fall on and wake Yi Wulan, Mu Yanxi made a split-second decision, quickly closed her eyes, and kissed her.

Her movement was flustered, but the angle was extremely precise, and the force wasn’t as reckless as before.

By the time Mu Yanxi realized it, her lips were already pressed against the plastic wrap.

The thin barrier between them was a form of self-deception. The more Mu Yanxi tried to distance herself from the intimate contact with Yi Wulan, the more intensely the sensation on her lips reminded her of what was happening.

Yi Wulan’s thin lips brushed against the center of hers, bringing a ripple-like tickle.

The cool air gently brushed against her skin but still couldn’t quell the heat in her heart. The healing power transferred silently, intertwining with their breaths, slowly and precisely spreading to the injured areas inside Yi Wulan’s body.

It was like a silent yet turbulent tide.

Mu Yanxi controlled her power, letting it seep thread by thread into each of Yi Wulan’s injured meridians, slowly enveloping them and merging with them. It felt like healing, but also like a kind of fusion. The feedback from her power made her tremble slightly.

With her cheeks and ears flushed bright red, Mu Yanxi tried hard to focus her mind and put all her thoughts into the healing.

Inexperienced and clumsy.

By the time the last bit of power in her core was depleted, strands of Mu Yanxi’s hair were stuck damply to her neck. She was like a little fox completely drained of its essence, without even the strength to wag her invisible tail.

She peeled the two now-crinkled pieces of plastic wrap from Yi Wulan’s lips as if cleaning up evidence, with no energy left to do anything else.

Then, her body as soft as if boneless, she snuggled against Yi Wulan’s shoulder and fell into a deep sleep.

Perhaps because she had carried her obsession with Yi Wulan getting better into her sleep, Mu Yanxi, while replenishing her power, dazedly began to dream.

She dreamed of her high school opening ceremony.

The leaders of every school year seemed to share a common ailment of dragging things out. After proclaiming the school’s achievements since its founding to the new students, they would then paint a grand picture for them, filling them with aspirations and hopes for the next three years.

On stage were passionate speeches; below were new students in identical uniforms, bored out of their minds.

Mu Yanxi hung her head. Having gotten out of the habit of eating breakfast over the summer, she had barely eaten anything that morning. After standing for an hour, she gradually began to show mild symptoms of low blood sugar.

The grade director’s lengthy speech finally ended. As applause broke out around her, she thought she was free, only to find out there was an additional speech from an outstanding graduate.

Mu Yanxi’s head drooped under the scorching sun, her whole body listless.

But just then, a clear and beautiful voice suddenly came from the stage, pulling her wandering thoughts back. “Hello everyone, I’m a senior from the class of ’10, Yi Wulan…”

Mu Yanxi looked up. The senior on stage was tall and slender, wearing a white shirtdress. It was a simple style, yet she wore it with an air of elegance and nobility.

The hair on her right side was pinned back with an exquisite barrette, and her loose hair danced lightly in the wind. Almost without warning, she entered Mu Yanxi’s sight, evoking an imperceptible emotion.

Mu Yanxi’s gaze followed Yi Wulan until she left the stage and was out of sight, only then did she look away.

After that came one new student speech after another, and the vice principal’s final remarks.

By the time the opening ceremony ended, Mu Yanxi’s face had turned pale from low blood sugar.

Students came and went on the path, walking in groups.

With a pained expression, Mu Yanxi picked a large, shady tree and sat down, trying to alleviate the dizziness from her low blood sugar. The sun grew hotter, and the oxygen in the air seemed to thin. The people on the field were all strangers; no one paid any attention to her.

She was like an abandoned puppy, as if she had been forsaken by the world.

Just before her clear world blurred completely, a pair of white canvas shoes appeared in her line of sight.

Mu Yanxi tried hard to open her eyes, and the dizziness from her low blood sugar dissipated slightly, allowing her to finally see what was in front of her.

She lifted her head slightly and saw the familiar shirtdress. The person exuded the unique grace and vitality of youth. It was Yi Wulan.

Yi Wulan slowly bent down, then glanced at her phone, as if confirming something.

Her hair slid down from her shoulder with the movement, and even the exquisite barrette fell uncontrollably.

Mu Yanxi reached out and caught it in her hand.

When she looked up to hand it back, she met a pair of bright, peach-blossom eyes that seemed to hold affection.

“You…”

Before she could say another word, those peach-blossom eyes crinkled. “Is Mu Yanqing your elder sister?”

Mu Yanxi was slightly taken aback and nodded.

The near-midday sun was intensely colored, and a halo of light surrounded Yi Wulan, as if she were outlined in a sacred and gentle glow.

Before her dizziness could overwhelm her again, like an angel descended to earth, she extended a hand to her.

The dream came to an abrupt end.

Mu Yanxi slowly woke up. A few slivers of light were already filtering through the window.

Remembering what happened before she went to sleep, Mu Yanxi turned her head and carefully studied Yi Wulan’s features, trying to find some sign of the healing power’s effects on her face.

It wasn’t until her gaze lingered on Yi Wulan’s lips that she froze slightly.

She could almost recall the glistening sheen they had, which, combined with their naturally tender red color, made them look incredibly tempting now.

So much so that she didn’t dare to look directly at them.

While Yi Wulan was still asleep, Mu Yanxi quickly released a trace of her power to check how well Yi Wulan had absorbed it the previous night.

The good news was that her power could now reach the injured areas unimpeded. It no longer needed to clear layers of meridians, clearing a new blockage each time just to get there.

At the same time, the barrier obstructing the healing, which had started to loosen after she was drunk last time, was also gradually fading.

The real healing was beginning, unlike before when her power could only skim the surface and provide some mental relief.

Just as Mu Yanxi breathed a sigh of relief, a familiar voice suddenly sounded by her ear. “You’re awake?”

The voice was soft, tinged with the laziness of someone who had just woken up, and very pleasant to the ear.

Mu Yanxi tore her gaze away from Yi Wulan’s lips and slowly, with great difficulty, met the pair of peach-blossom eyes that were now open.

Like a child caught doing something wrong, she quickly averted her eyes the next second.

Then she nervously retreated to the other pillow. “You’re, you’re awake too.”

“Mm.”

Yi Wulan quickly got out of bed. Hearing a rustling sound behind her, Mu Yanxi turned her head.

She saw Yi Wulan pull the wheelchair closer to the bed. Her calves, not covered by her robe, were smooth and delicate, just rather thin, with no signs of muscle atrophy.

This wasn’t the first time Mu Yanxi had seen those calves, but caught off guard, she suddenly remembered the scene from her dream last night.

The calves beneath the shirtdress had stood firmly in canvas shoes, supporting her entire weight, and later, carrying her as well. They were so steady and full of life, not limited in movement like they were now.

Mu Yanxi stared at Yi Wulan’s calves, slightly lost in thought.

“What are you…” Yi Wulan noticed Mu Yanxi’s gaze, but she had never been secretive about her legs. She wasn’t like other patients with leg injuries whose self-esteem would be crushed by a single glance from others.

Even though that car accident had taken away many wonderful things in her life, she still had her pride.

But she had only spoken two words when she froze, her gaze slowly falling to her own knees.

“Hm?” Mu Yanxi also came back to her senses, just in time to catch the flash of surprise in Yi Wulan’s eyes. “What were you going to say?”

But by then, Yi Wulan had already lowered her eyes again. “Nothing. It was probably my imagination.”

Their conversation didn’t have much logic, but Mu Yanxi surprisingly understood.

A flash of delight appeared in her eyes.

Mu Yanxi slowly placed her palm on the back of Yi Wulan’s hand, as if to comfort or encourage her. “You’ll get better.”

Yi Wulan shook her head helplessly but said nothing.

After Yi Wulan left for work, Mu Yanxi sat on the bed, her mind wandering back to the dream she had before waking up.

Normally, a dream wasn’t something to dwell on, but when she had looked at Yi Wulan’s legs just now, the dream had felt so real, as if she had personally experienced it.

But when she tried to search her memories, her mind went blank. Those distant memories were nowhere to be found.

Mu Yanxi spent a few minutes before deciding to ask someone. She opened her phone’s contact list, found Mu Yanqing’s number, and announced imperiously, “Where are you? I’m coming to find you.”

Mu Yanqing had just flown back from another city and was planning to go home to catch up on sleep. She gave her an address. “You’ve been here before. When you get here, use your fingerprint and let yourself in.”

After hanging up, Mu Yanxi threw off the covers and got out of bed. As her feet touched the floor, she happened to see the injury on her ankle.

With her power, her body’s healing ability was much faster than before. After one night, the skin was already intact, with only a faint circle of bruising remaining.

She put on her slippers and took a few steps; walking didn’t cause much trouble. After quickly washing up, she chose a blue Bugatti and drove toward the address Mu Yanqing had sent.

Mu Yanqing happened to be in the living room. Seeing her sister, she handed her a pair of slippers. “Why the sudden urge to come to my…”

Her words died in her throat when Mu Yanxi took off her shoes. The bruise on her ankle stood out defiantly against her fair skin.

Mu Yanqing put down the slippers, her face full of worry. “Xiao Xi, how did you injure your foot?”

Mu Yanxi was silent for a moment, then quickly slipped her foot into the slipper and walked toward the living room. “It’s nothing, I just bumped it accidentally.”

Mu Yanqing scanned her up and down a few times, then her gaze landed strangely on Mu Yanxi’s rare dark circles, and she had a sudden realization.

“You finally couldn’t stand that cold, dog-like temper of Yi Wulan’s and decided to run away from home? Ah, I tell you, there are plenty of fish in the sea. You’ve finally seen the light?”

Mu Yanxi explained, “…No, I just didn’t sleep well last night.” And was too lazy to put on makeup today.

Mu Yanqing made a look of complete understanding and nodded in gratification. “Elder Sister understands. It’s okay, sweetie.”

Mu Yanxi: …

Mu Yanxi felt that she and Mu Yanqing were not on the same wavelength at all and couldn’t be bothered to explain.

She just started rummaging through the coffee table drawer, following their usual storage habits.

Sure enough, she found it full of snacks.

She picked through the pile of snacks, ordered Mu Yanqing to make her a cup of milk tea, and completed her not-so-healthy breakfast.

After eating and drinking her fill, she finally remembered her original reason for coming.

So she asked casually, “Elder Sister, do you still remember things from my high school days?”

“What, suddenly feel like reminiscing with your elder sister?” Mu Yanqing remarked. “The way Xiao Xi acted cute back then was much more adorable than now.”

Mu Yanxi cleared her throat, her eyes darting slightly. “I-I just wanted to ask, do you remember my high school opening ceremony…”

She tried to organize her words but didn’t know how to bring it up without making it seem like she was deliberately mentioning Yi Wulan.

But Mu Yanqing was quicker to respond. “Your high school opening ceremony? The principal sent me an invitation back then, but I had a Xinyu shareholders’ meeting so I couldn’t go.”

Hearing this, Mu Yanxi knew Mu Yanqing remembered. She sighed and continued to probe, “Yeah, it’s a bit of a pity to think about. Everyone in our class really admired the upperclassmen who came back to school.”

“Admired?” Mu Yanqing scoffed and started ranting disdainfully. “What was there to admire? Don’t think I don’t know just because I wasn’t there. Weren’t all those admiring gazes on that dog Yi Wulan? She just used that face of hers to trick you ignorant high school students. If I had gone, would that dog Yi Wulan have even had a chance?”

Mu Yanxi’s fingertips curled sharply, but her face remained calm. “Oh, Yi Wulan went too? How come I don’t remember?”

“You had low blood sugar back then. It was Yi Wulan who took you to the infirmary and notified me. You forgot that too?”

“I…” Mu Yanxi’s mind was in chaos. After getting the confirmation, she didn’t know how to react for a moment.

“What ‘I’? It’s fine if you forgot.” Mu Yanqing patted Mu Yanxi’s shoulder. “With a face that’s just a little bit worse than mine, Yi Wulan really isn’t worth remembering.”

Then, Mu Yanqing lowered her eyes and sighed. “Sigh, look at you. Your taste was pretty good back then. How did you grow up and start thinking Yi Wulan was good-looking?”

Mu Yanxi’s expression also became dazed.

It wasn’t because her taste had changed, but because she was certain that her memory contained the opening ceremony, the outstanding student’s speech, and the scene of Mu Yanqing rushing over after her low blood sugar episode.

But Yi Wulan was completely absent from it.

Mu Yanxi pulled her thoughts back from her memories and took a sip of her milk tea, but she couldn’t suppress the confusion and suspicion in her heart.

“But everyone makes mistakes in judgment sometimes.” Mu Yanqing paused, her expression suddenly becoming excited. “When I got off the plane, I heard my assistant report on a project.”

Mu Yanxi: “What project?”

Mu Yanqing leaned in with a sly grin. “I heard Yi Wulan won the Shuilin Fang project? She’s been developing a new app these past two months and is tight on funds, so isn’t she coming to me for a partnership? Heh, since she bullied you like this, I’m going to cut off her funding and wait for her to come begging before we talk.”

Mu Yanxi: …

Mu Yanxi suddenly felt a little guilty and lowered her head, silently chewing on her milk tea straw.

But she still corrected her, “Elder Sister, seeking financing from you is called a partnership, not begging. Even without you, other banks would be fighting to partner with her. Don’t mix so much personal emotion into business.”

Mu Yanqing promised again, “Don’t worry about that. Anyway, Elder Sister will definitely help you get your revenge.”

Although Mu Yanqing had a carefree, gloating expression on her face, she was secretly observing her sister’s expression.

Seeing that Mu Yanxi’s face showed no trace of worry or anxiety, Mu Yanqing immediately relaxed, so gratified she almost wanted to cry.

Had her little sister’s heart finally been broken, and was she planning to leave Yi Wulan?

Mu Yanqing rubbed the back of Mu Yanxi’s head, her voice growing excited again. “Xiao Xi, you’ve finally grown up! You’ve finally learned to let go and walk away from this marriage that was never right for you. Your elder sister is so, so happy!”

Mu Yanxi felt that her sister must have stayed up too late, so she quietly tried to explain, “Elder Sister, it’s really not what you think.”

Mu Yanqing: “Don’t worry, Elder Sister understands. You’ve already sacrificed once for our family’s marriage alliance. Elder Sister will definitely not let you feel troubled over something like a divorce. Since you’re letting go, you have to let go completely. It’s okay that you’re not worldly enough to fight that old schemer Yi Wulan. Elder Sister will definitely help you fight for your rights.”

Mu Yanqing pulled Mu Yanxi to a side bedroom. “You can stay here with Elder Sister for the next few days.”

She forcefully pushed the homeward-bound Mu Yanxi inside.

Looking at Mu Yanxi’s straight back, Mu Yanqing was so happy that even her fatigue from staying up all night dissipated.

Her constant efforts to break up this marriage had not been in vain after all.

Her little sister was finally going to let go!
