WWSEG – Chapter 60

Naughty

Stunned for just a second, Song Yushi calmly accepted the kiss.

Qi Ke was fiery, kissing her without a trace of pity. Her tongue wrapped around Song Yushi’s, savoring the taste of red wine between her lips and tongue. The wine’s flavor was faint, leaving only a slight bitterness, but because it was Song Yushi, she could somehow taste a hint of sweetness.

Her other hand caressed the corner of Song Yushi’s eye.

It was tinged with red, alluring as if filled with water.

Song Yushi was pressed against the cold glass wall, her exposed skin trembling. In her peripheral vision, someone walked past the frosted glass wall. The CEO at the doorway had her eyes glued to her and Qi Ke, shock spreading deep within her pupils as she watched their movements.

A long-lost rebelliousness, a familiar pleasure.

Only Qi Ke could give her this, stimulating her heart. The tip of her heart trembled, rising and falling with Qi Ke’s movements.

For Qi Ke, and for this very scene.

But unexpectedly, Qi Ke was all bark and no bite. She was only a little peeved that Song Yushi had been drinking and followed a stranger. When Song Yushi obediently wrapped her arms around her, that bit of pique vanished into thin air.

Once her anger dissipated, worries set in.

Song Yushi didn’t want to go public, and there was an outsider here. Kissing like this probably wasn’t a good idea, right? Would Song Yushi blame her when she sobered up? Would this person go out and spread rumors?

Hesitantly, her kiss softened slightly. Song Yushi looked up in dissatisfaction. She used some force, making Qi Ke stumble, and their lips pressed together again.

Lingering.

It was possessiveness at play.

“Ahem.”

After who knows how long, the spectating CEO finally came to her senses. She wanted to leave but was afraid someone might be passing by if she opened the door, so she could only stand there frozen, clearing her throat.

Song Yushi hesitated for a moment, then slowly let go of Qi Ke.

Staring blankly at Qi Ke for a while, Song Yushi murmured, “Naughty.”

Qi Ke was still dazed, only managing to utter a single syllable after a long moment: “Huh?”

How could she be the first to complain? Who was the naughty one here?!

But Song Yushi’s gaze had already shifted from her, slowly settling on the CEO at the door. The CEO felt a chill run down her spine from the look but remained composed. “Miss Song, rest assured, I won’t tell anyone about this.”

Song Yushi frowned slightly.

She retorted, “Why wouldn’t you tell anyone?”

The CEO: “?”

Qi Ke: “?”

“Isn’t it just dancing?” Song Yushi hadn’t let go of Qi Ke yet. She clutched the corner of her clothes, her fingertips turning white. Her aggrieved eyes were misty as she spoke in a strangely petulant tone, “Who can’t dance? I’m from a girl group, a master of singing and dancing!”

She looked at Qi Ke. “Isn’t that right?”

Qi Ke asked cautiously, “Captain, how much did you drink?”

Song Yushi rolled her eyes at her. “I’m not drunk.”

Qi Ke nodded.

Okay, she was drunk.

She hadn’t really been angry in the first place, just wanting to scare her. Now, her heart had long since softened. Qi Ke wrapped her arms around Song Yushi’s waist, holding her in her embrace. Clearing her throat, she said to the CEO at the door, “You saw that, right?”

The CEO: “…?”

She didn’t know if she was supposed to have seen it.

“Our captain, you see, she just likes me.” Qi Ke had just dyed her hair a light purple for a music video, which made her beautiful face look flamboyant. Adding a touch of showing off, she couldn’t look more pleased. “We’re together, and we’re very happy.”

The CEO: “…Congratulations?”

Qi Ke: “?”

Hey! Can’t you show a little envy, jealousy, and hate!

Qi Ke’s dissatisfaction was clearly conveyed. The CEO immediately added, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. I know you’re public figures and need to keep it hidden. Oh, right—”

Qi Ke, having failed to successfully show off their affection, was annoyed. “What?”

“I’m actually a fan of Miss Song. I just wanted to chat with her alone, I had no other intentions. Please don’t fight because of me.” The CEO paused, then added, ”I’ll be leaving now.”

The sound of high heels, clack clack clack, fled the scene.

In the banquet hall, someone had grabbed the microphone. The strings of an instrument were plucked, and a soft, tender song began. Song Yushi leaned on Qi Ke’s shoulder. They were pressed close, the sensation of their touch more distinct.

Out of the blue, Song Yushi suddenly said, “So soft.”

Qi Ke chuckled, unable to resist reaching out. She bent her index and middle fingers, pinched Song Yushi’s nose, and gave it a little shake. “My little captain, do you have any idea what you’re saying right now?”

Song Yushi couldn’t breathe but didn’t resist. She just opened her mouth, taking small breaths. She gave Qi Ke a soft look, having actually heard the question. “…I know.”

She nuzzled against her again and muttered under her breath, “You’re here anyway.”

Qi Ke froze.

“Say that again?” Qi Ke wasn’t sure if she had misheard.

But Song Yushi was unwilling to repeat it. She was comfortable in Qi Ke’s arms and didn’t want to move, nuzzling against her from time to time. Qi Ke’s mind was buzzing, the feeling of unreality growing stronger.

It wasn’t that she had never seen Song Yushi drunk before.

She would be so honest as to answer any question, unlike her usual self, and she would be very uninhibited in bed. But she had never been like this—so completely trusting, a little bit proud and spoiled, with a honey-sweet tongue.

Qi Ke held her by the waist, pressing her against the wall, wanting to hear more.

Song Yushi shifted her position in dissatisfaction, narrowing her eyes slightly, trying to regain her captain’s authority. But in Qi Ke’s eyes, it was devastatingly cute, and she ended up having her cheeks pinched.

Song Yushi blinked, even more bewildered.

“Captain…” Qi Ke licked her dry lips, deliberately lowering her voice. She leaned close to Song Yushi’s ear, coaxing her, “Who did you just say was being naughty?”

The tip of her tongue touched her earlobe, tickling it.

Song Yushi tried to pull back, but behind her was the frosted glass, leaving no room to retreat. She placed her hands on Qi Ke’s shoulders and said, “You’re the naughty one.”

Qi Ke asked, “How am I naughty?”

Song Yushi toyed with Qi Ke’s shoulder strap, listing her crimes. “You said you’d come back after you were well-rested. A red-eye flight is very tiring.”

“Your heart aches for me?”

“My heart aches?” Song Yushi tilted her head, then nodded seriously. “My heart hurts a lot.”

Qi Ke cupped Song Yushi’s face, her kiss landing gently on her long eyelashes, and confessed, “Because I was scared. Even though you’re so easy to lead astray, it still took me a lot of effort to whisk you away. But I was just afraid…”

And then what she was afraid of became reality.

She was just a little tired when she arrived, so she found a random room to rest and touch up her makeup, only to see her little captain following someone in.

Looking so easy to deceive.

The thought made her angry all over again. She grabbed Song Yushi’s fidgeting hands. “So why did you go into a strange room with a stranger? Do you even remember you have a girlfriend?”

Song Yushi sobered up for a moment.

She didn’t know why either. Maybe she didn’t want to refuse too quickly and let Zhong Yi notice something was up. Or maybe it was a sense of fate, that she was meant to walk into the room where Qi Ke was.

But all of that was too abstract. She hesitated for a long time before just rubbing against Qi Ke’s palm and saying softly, “I was drunk.”

Qi Ke laughed. “Now you’re drunk?”

Song Yushi was acting uncharacteristically spoiled.

Qi Ke was no longer angry, but she still felt she should get a little something for herself. She squeezed Song Yushi’s waist and said, “Captain, let’s discuss something.”

“…What?”

“I’m going to ask you some questions, and you have to answer honestly. No lying.”

“…”

“I’m still angry!”

“…” Song Yushi fell silent again for a moment, then slowly leaned on Qi Ke’s shoulder, carefully kissed the corner of her mouth, and said, “Go ahead and ask.”

“Who am I?”

“…Qi Ke.”

“What’s your name?”

“Song Yushi.”

“Who is the most beautiful person in Sweet Day?”

“Qi Ke.”

The question-and-answer session became smoother and smoother, but Qi Ke grew nervous.

“Do you like waking up early?”

“No.”

“What’s your favorite fruit?”

“Cherries.”

“Do you love me?”

“…”

Like a record that suddenly got stuck halfway through a song, in the abrupt silence, Qi Ke could hear Song Yushi’s breathing. It made her own heart hang in suspense, especially clear in the quiet.

Thump.

Thump, thump, thump.

“I love you.”

The arrow was nocked on the taut bowstring. Song Yushi finally released it, firing the fatal shot that struck Qi Ke squarely in the heart. It transformed into a tender feeling, both sour and sweet.

Colorful cellophane candy wrappers rained down, leaving Qi Ke dizzy and dazzled.

But Song Yushi was incredibly clear-headed. She straightened up, cupped Qi Ke’s face, stood on her tiptoes to kiss Qi Ke’s forehead, and repeated with sincere devotion, “I love you, Qi Ke.”

No need to beat around the bush.

She loved her. The answer was beyond doubt.

When she wasn’t sober, she loved her.

When she was sober, she loved her too.

Zhong Yi thought Qi Ke was acting strange.

Qi Ke took a sip of her Coke and said with a grin, “I know.”

Zhong Yi: “?” Know what?

Qi Ke: “Strangely cute.”

Zhong Yi: “…”

“Alright, I didn’t know you were coming back today.” Zhong Yi felt a little guilty. “But the Captain went out with that CEO and never came back. That means the two of them are getting along great. You have to accept this fact, okay?”

Qi Ke was still grinning, in such a good mood that she could go on stage right now and sing a powerful song.

“The Captain?” Qi Ke leisurely lifted her chin, motioning for Zhong Yi to look at the entrance. The CEO in the white dress, who had gone off somewhere to collect herself, was just coming back in. Qi Ke elegantly swirled her wine glass, the stars on her nails shimmering. She smiled faintly. “She’s in my bed.”

Zhong Yi: “???”

Zhong Yi: “!!!”

Zhong Yi: “…………”

Scared sober.

“What’s the situation?” Zhong Yi leaned in. “Did you two really get back together? How could you be so unfriendly? After all the public displays of affection I had to endure back then, you didn’t even tell me?”

Qi Ke gave her a cool look. “Answer my question first.”

Zhong Yi was very obedient. “What?”

Qi Ke was very amiable. “Did you guys make a bet with the Captain? Like, if she got back together with me, something would happen? Hmm?”

Zhong Yi: “…No!”

Qi Ke: “You hesitated for two seconds.”

“Really, no!” Afraid of being implicated, Zhong Yi immediately threw Chengzhi under the bus. “The Captain said it herself! If she got back together with you, she’d dance to 《Cherry》 in a stadium of 100,000 people! Nobody set her up. Her determination not to get back with you was rock solid back then.”

“Tsk, tsk.” Zhong Yi lamented. “The Captain’s resistance is way too weak.”

“What do you know?” Qi Ke cursed under her breath. She remembered how in the smoking room, Song Yushi had petulantly shouted, “Who can’t dance?! I’m from a girl group, a master of singing and dancing!” So that was why. The smile returned to her lips. “She loves me.”

Zhong Yi: “?”

Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey! She wasn’t going to eat this dog food!

Spitting mentally, Zhong Yi went to find the CEO, wanting to clear things up with her and comfort her fragile heart. But before she could get close, she saw the CEO walk out again, holding her phone.

Zhong Yi happened to want to get some fresh air too.

Just as she pushed the door open, she saw the feared CEO of Lin Group leaning against the corner with her back to her, whispering excitedly, “It’s real, it’s real! Qi Yu is real! I’ve shipped a real couple!”

Zhong Yi tripped.

Damn! She’s a CP fan too!
