Same author as I Truly Am Not A Wise King!
Gong Du is the most unpopular deity in the Three Thousand Divine Realms, controlling worldly diseases.
Every world has a protagonist group that gathers all the world’s fortune.
His job is to escort the protagonist group while also providing them with enough trials to obtain fortune.
Gong Du painstakingly creates obstacles for the protagonist group while simultaneously acting as their teacher/senior/comrade to provide guidance.
But his ending has already been predetermined—destined for death.
World One:
[Federal Admiral overthrown by revolution, side effect of role-playing: stomach disease]
Gong Du plays the gentle white moonlight teacher while using his Federal Admiral identity to create trials for the protagonist group.
Later, he uses his Admiral identity to kill his own white moonlight persona, forcing the protagonist group to strive harder to overthrow the Federation.
But… before dying, Gong Du looks at the protagonist group crying their hearts out and falls into silence.
World Two:
[Supernatural world, side effect of role-playing: Capgras delusion syndrome]
Golden sunflowers always follow the sun; the flamboyant youth holds flowers and disappears in the sunlight.
“I die in the past, guarding your future.”
World Three: Ancient treacherous minister arc
Statements from various protagonist groups:
In countless worlds, there exists such a person.
Sometimes walking alone on a path covered with thorns.
Sometimes dying in the darkness before dawn.
Sometimes servile and flattering, yet straightening their spine before death.
Sometimes never able to grasp the light they swore to protect with their life.
This person is their teacher/senior/companion, a guide to many, and also their most untouchable regret.
PS: The protagonist is not a good person—very scummy, extremely scummy. A master actor who follows scripts perfectly without breaking character, quietly selling misery with expertise. All relationships are friendship/familial oriented.
PPS: Specific warnings + reading guide in the author’s notes of Chapter 1
One-line Summary: Want to understand the beautiful, strong, and tragic script?
Theme: Look at people comprehensively
