The top floor arrived, and the elevator doors opened. Zhong Wanqiu stepped out without ceremony. The corridor was slightly dim. Rubbing her eyes, Zhong Wanqiu headed straight for the office ahead. Along the way, she passed the emergency exit stairwell.
Zhong Wanqiu wasn’t thinking about anything. She just wanted to see Leng Muxun and demand answers. Then, a soft, uninhibited sound from the stairwell- ‘ Mm… Ah… Oh…’-made her pause. Her curiosity and concern grew, pulling her toward the stairwell as suspense built.
