And so, under the pressure of moving back to the old Xu family residence, another peaceful night passed.
Xu Chenghao lay on the soft bed, sleeping soundly, and woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. Jing Yicheng, though not complaining, picked up a pen and crossed off another day on the calendar, clearly eager for the punishment to be over.
Including today, there were only two days left.
Jing Yicheng had been counting down each day, eagerly waiting for the time to pass. Finally, on the last day, in the early hours of the morning, he snuck into the bedroom and unlocked the door.
In the dark, Xu Chenghao lay on the bed, completely unguarded. Jing Yicheng swiftly locked the door, climbed into bed, and finally found a place to release the week’s built-up tension. Xu Chenghao, who had been sound asleep, was abruptly awakened. His breathing was unsteady as he called out, “Jing Yicheng.”
“It’s me.” Worried that Xu Chenghao might be scared, Jing Yicheng turned on a small nightlight and kissed him under the dim light. “Haohao… the week of punishment is over, I’m here to collect what’s due.”
Xu Chenghao was not pleased. “Are you in that much of a hurry? Can’t it wait until tomorrow?”
Jing Yicheng replied, “It’s already 1 a.m., so it is tomorrow.”
Xu Chenghao wanted to say something but was abruptly interrupted. His words turned into fragmented gasps, and he let out a muffled moan as his eyes quickly filled with a thin layer of moisture.
“Jing Yicheng, entranced by Xu Chenghao’s reaction, suddenly intensified his originally gentle movements. Their conversation was unable to continue amidst the vigorous actions. Though Xu Chenghao occasionally voiced refusal, his words shattered before they could form complete sentences, dissolving into broken gasps and muffled groans.
And then… thanks to Jing Yicheng, Xu Chenghao, exhausted, still managed to see the rising sun.
A hungry man has no reason. Jing Yicheng pinned Xu Chenghao against the window, demanding more from him while insisting that he enjoy the sunrise. As the warm, orange sunlight spread across his skin, Xu Chenghao’s body shuddered, goosebumps rising from the stimulation, yet he had no strength left to resist, leaving him completely at Jing Yicheng’s mercy.
By the time he passed out, Xu Chenghao had only one thought in his mind—Never let a man go hungry!!!
This could be described as “lifting a stone only to drop it on one’s own foot.” After a week of recovery, Xu Chenghao’s energy and spirit were almost completely drained in a single night. The next day, he couldn’t even get out of bed and was in an even worse state than before.
Thinking about it, Xu Chenghao felt utterly miserable and was eager to vent his frustration. He suddenly sat up and angrily shouted, “Auntie, pack my things! I’m going home!”
The door clicked open, and Jing Yicheng walked in carrying a bowl. In a gentle tone, he said, “You’re too weak right now. Here, eat something first.”
Xu Chenghao became furious the moment he saw him, lay back down, and pulled the blanket over his head: “I’m not eating! If I starve to death, you’ll be the main culprit!”
Jing Yicheng dug him out from under the covers, held him in his arms, and brought the spoon to his mouth: “Be good, don’t take it out on your body.”
Xu Chenghao viciously bit the hand holding the spoon, “You’re such a jerk!”
Jing Yicheng sighed helplessly, then fed the porridge into his own mouth before bending down to kiss Xu Chenghao, feeding him directly. Xu Chenghao tried to push him away, but with their mismatched strength, it was a complete and overwhelming victory for Jing Yicheng. In the end, even when Xu Chenghao said he would drink it himself, Jing Yicheng ignored him and continued feeding him, one spoonful at a time, until the porridge was finished.
After eating his fill, Xu Chenghao nestled in the man’s arms and began his usual routine of regret: regretting why he hadn’t just obediently eaten the porridge, regretting why he’d chosen to punish himself for a week, regretting… regretting why he’d decided to make Jing Yicheng his boyfriend. Hmph!
Now that Xu Chenghao had regained his strength, he suddenly broke free from Jing Yicheng’s embrace and went to wash up. From behind the door, he asked, “Did you go to the office?”
Jing Yicheng leaned against the door frame, waiting for him to come out: “Haohao, today is Saturday.”
Xu Chenghao: “…”
So this guy had really been lying in wait all along!
Xu Chenghao was so angry that he rolled his eyes at himself in the mirror. After finishing his shower, he began picking out clothes to go out. Jing Yicheng, standing behind him, selected a set of loungewear, and despite Xu Chenghao’s resistance, directly carried him back to the bedroom and very quickly dressed him in the outfit.
Xu Chenghao was so angry that he kicked him: “You’re such a jerk! Now you’re even bullying me!”
Jing Yicheng caught his foot and lifted it to kiss: “Mm, I only bully you.”
“Sweet talk won’t work!” Xu Chenghao pulled his foot back, sat up, and said, “I don’t care, I feel awful right now. I’m going back to the Xu family estate to recover for a few days.”
Jing Yicheng replied calmly, “Haohao, are you sure about that?”
Xu Chenghao was at a loss for words. He really wasn’t sure… When it came to things in bed, Jing Yicheng could be as wild as he wanted, never listening to him. After a week of abstinence, he practically wanted to swallow him whole. If they went a few more rounds, Xu Chenghao figured he might just ascend to heaven.
Xu Chenghao felt a bit intimidated but couldn’t swallow his anger, so he sat on the bed sulking, feeling wronged. He realized that Jing Yicheng had changed—what used to be a cute, loyal puppy had now turned into a big, biting wolfdog, and he even knew how to threaten him… He was becoming less and less cute!
Jing Yicheng patted his head, “Don’t be mad. Where do you feel uncomfortable? I’ll give you a massage, okay? Your waist? Your legs? Does your butt still hurt? I have some medicine prepared—if it hurts, I can apply some.”
Xu Chenghao slapped his hand away: “I’m feeling upset inside right now.”
Jing Yicheng couldn’t help but laugh, pulling him into his arms and gently comforting him: “This time you’re only this tired because we accumulated too much ‘public grain.’ As long as we pay it on time in the future, this definitely won’t happen again.”
“You’re still threatening me.” Xu Chenghao said unhappily, “Jing Yicheng, you’ve changed. Not only do you not listen to me anymore, but you even dare to threaten me to death! You’re not cute at all anymore!”
Jing Yicheng replied, “But Haohao is cute, especially when you’re sulking—it’s particularly cute.”
Xu Chenghao was so annoyed that he didn’t want to speak. He stood up, trying to move away from him. Jing Yicheng quickly pulled him back into a tight embrace: “Don’t be mad, don’t be mad. What I mean is that Haohao is cute, whether you’re angry or not, you’re always cute.”
Xu Chenghao, feeling wronged, said, “Jing Yicheng, I hate you!”
Jing Yicheng replied, “It’s okay, I love you.”
Xu Chenghao: “…”
This conversation wasn’t going anywhere.
Still, Xu Chenghao was both physically uncomfortable and mentally irritated. He lifted his head and bit down hard on Jing Yicheng’s cheek, leaving a ring of teeth marks, then kicked him several times.
Jing Yicheng, feeling distressed, said, “Your foot’s red… Haohao, if you’re angry, just bite me. Otherwise, hitting me only ends up hurting yourself, and it makes me feel bad.”
Xu Chenghao: “…”
His pride was hurt—time to run away from home!
Xu Chenghao’s furious and flustered expression was so adorable that Jing Yicheng couldn’t help but feel both amused and softened. He held him tightly, patiently comforting him over and over, practically wanting to offer the other side of his face for Xu Chenghao to bite as well.
Jing Yicheng didn’t know if others found it annoying when their lovers threw a tantrum, but whenever he saw Xu Chenghao get upset with him, revealing a side that no one else saw beneath his gentle facade, it made him feel incredibly happy and secure.
Because when someone is willing to show you their bad side, it means they trust and rely on you. They’re not pretending and are completely at ease around you, which better shows their sincerity towards you. That’s why Jing Yicheng wished that all of Xu Chenghao’s temper tantrums were directed at him. After all, he saw Xu Chenghao’s outbursts as acts of affection and absolutely adored them.
That afternoon, an account of Jing Yicheng’s that hadn’t been updated in ages suddenly posted something new. The photo showed only the side of his face, with the sharp, cold lines of his jaw being prominent, but the most eye-catching thing was a bite mark! The caption was a simple three words: “So cute.”
Everyone who rushed to check it out: Huh??? Is he complimenting himself again???
If he’s calling himself cute, just how unclear is he about his own self-awareness? Everyone immediately dismissed that idea, examined the photo for a while, and finally concluded… Jing Yicheng was showing off his relationship!
He was praising the bite mark as cute, and the person who left the bite mark as cute. As for the only person Jing Yicheng would compliment like this, it could only be the one who made him shut down his research lab and stay together every day, treating them like a treasure—who else could it be!
The mostly single researchers: “…”
Suddenly, they felt miserable. Not only did Jing Yicheng, a leading figure in the research field, have more hair than them, but he also found a boyfriend before them! This is simply too much—leaving them with no way to live!
However, no matter how indignant they felt, when it came time to comment, no one dared say anything. At most, they liked the post and commented ‘Wishing you eternal happiness.’
Zuo He quietly replied: “The two gentlemen have such a good relationship. Wishing you 99.”
He originally just wanted to flatter them, but shortly after he sent the message, Jing Yicheng’s assistant directly messaged his account, asking: “Are you there?”
Before the assistant could say anything more, Zuo He hurriedly replied: “I swear I really didn’t say anything bad to Mr. Xu that day! I just asked him to help plead for mercy from Mr. Jing, nothing more! I didn’t do or say anything else!”
Assistant: “…”
Assistant: “I think you’ve misunderstood. I’m just here to inform you that the boss is in a good mood today. He’s waiving the rest of the punishment for the captain and all the executors. As for the rest, it’s up to you to handle.”
Zuo He stared at the message on his phone, stunned for a long time with his mouth hanging open: “Really? Thank you, Mr. Jing! Thank you, assistant!”
Assistant: “The one you should really thank is Mr. Xu. The boss is only happy because of him.”
Zuo He: “Thank you, Mr. Xu!!”
He had known that Xu Chenghao was extremely important to Jing Yicheng. He knew that pleading with Xu Chenghao would definitely yield results. But he hadn’t expected the surprise to come so quickly, and instead of reducing the punishment, it was completely waived. It was like happiness upon happiness!
Zuo He felt that he absolutely had to thank Mr. Xu in person.
…
There’s no wall that can block out the wind. As soon as the captain and the others were released, rumors about Zuo He pleading for mercy began to spread everywhere. Once everyone realized how much weight Mr. Xu’s words carried, some daring individuals began secretly trying to find his contact information and sending him messages.
“Mr. Xu, hello, I’m XXX. We’ve been wanting to discuss a collaboration with your partner. Could you pass on the message?”
“Mr. Xu, hello, we really need Mr. Jing to take on an order. Could you please persuade him to return to the research lab? Thank you.”
“Mr. Xu, I’m…”
“Mr. Xu…”
Without using any special software and completely unaware that Jing Yicheng had been quietly showing off their relationship, Xu Chenghao was completely baffled.
What on earth had happened???
Yours truly was almost swept away by the floods 😭😂 I’m fine now though so welcome back to me lol. Thanks for your Patience 🤗😍🥰
