PID Chapter 47

Kofiiiiiii Thanks to Chocoooooooo

(5/5)

The flying boat sped through the sky, its protective barrier shielding it from the fierce winds. The gusts couldn’t stir even the slightest ripple. Inside, the rooms remained undisturbed by the outside turbulence, enveloped in silence. Yet, what transpired behind each window—the myriad dramas of life—was known only to those within.

In Chu Jinglan and Xiao Mo’s room, the black mist cage dissipated around midnight. A spiritual lamp on the table cast a gentle, warm light, bright enough to illuminate but not harsh on the eyes. However, Xiao Mo lay with his arm draped over his face, stubbornly refusing to move it away.

…Save me. Can I just switch to living in another world?

Xiao Mo had finally finished digesting all of the demonic cultivator’s core thoughts and regained clarity.

And unfortunately, he remembered everything he had done in his peculiar, intoxicated state with perfect clarity.

Including how he had rubbed up against Bai Xue Tuanzi in Chu Jinglan’s inner sea… and how he had later bitten Chu Jinglan’s finger while sitting in his lap.

He had sat there in someone else’s arms, biting their finger, and even looked at Chu Jinglan with a smug, triumphant gaze as if he were the victor…

Xiao Mo rolled over on the bed.

If I can’t switch worlds, can I at least get amnesia?

But the other party clearly wasn’t going to let him off so easily. Chu Jinglan’s calm voice broke through the silence of the room: “Awake?”

Xiao Mo didn’t respond.

But Chu Jinglan continued: “You must be awake. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be acting like this. You would—”

“I was wrong.” Xiao Mo immediately sat up, using only his core strength. His waistline arched into a graceful curve, but his back and shoulders sagged dejectedly, completely lacking any air of confidence. “Don’t say anything else—I’m awake.”

Chu Jinglan regarded him with a faintly indifferent expression.

“I didn’t expect it to have this kind of effect,” Xiao Mo muttered weakly. “It wasn’t a backlash from consuming thoughts—it felt more like… like…”

“Like being drunk,” Chu Jinglan finished for him.

Xiao Mo slumped further. “I’ve never been drunk before, but I guess that’s what it was.”

Chu Jinglan had seen plenty of drunken behavior before and could easily match Xiao Mo’s actions to those of typical drunkards—it fit perfectly. However, he suspected that Xiao Mo’s drunken state was influenced by the type of core thoughts he had consumed. For instance, the demonic cultivator’s overwhelming appetite might have shaped Xiao Mo’s behavior. If he had consumed a different kind of thought, his behavior might have been entirely different.

Chu Jinglan shared his hypothesis aloud, and Xiao Mo nodded in agreement.

With a sigh, Xiao Mo admitted: “It seems I really shouldn’t eat too much of that stuff at once.”

Although consuming core thoughts was beneficial for an Inner Demon’s cultivation—he could feel his spiritual energy growing stronger—there were limits.

If it were just him losing control, that would’ve been fine. But dragging Chu Jinglan into it as well? When their two consciousnesses collided in the inner sea…

The memory made Xiao Mo shudder involuntarily as goosebumps prickled across his skin.

The sensation had been too intense—bone-deep and unforgettable. Even now, traces of it lingered within him like an echo that refused to fade. The feeling of his entire consciousness melting was overwhelming—it was pleasurable but far too much to handle comfortably.

Chu Jinglan had been dragged into the mess and endured the chaos alongside Xiao Mo, but he had no complaints. This time, Xiao Mo was undeniably at fault.

Still, it was better to have tested this under safe circumstances than to discover it in a dangerous environment. At least now they knew—consuming too many core thoughts at once was definitely not a good idea.

Having been pulled into the ordeal, Chu Jinglan didn’t show any resentment. He simply asked, “Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?”

Xiao Mo replied, “No.”

Chu Jinglan nodded. He opened the window and cleaned up the ashes left behind from burning the demonic cultivator. Then he tidied up the disheveled bedding and pillows, preparing to lie down and rest. Since the room only had one bed, if Xiao Mo didn’t return to the inner sea, they would have to share it.

Seeing Chu Jinglan’s actions, Xiao Mo couldn’t help but speak up: “Aren’t you forgetting something?”

Chu Jinglan glanced at him. “Hmm?”

Xiao Mo raised his bound wrists and showed them to Chu Jinglan. “The ropes—you haven’t untied them yet.”

Although Xiao Mo could easily break free from the ropes at any time, he deliberately extended his wrists toward Chu Jinglan, clearly expecting him to untie them.

Chu Jinglan lowered his gaze to look at Xiao Mo’s wrists. The slender, pale hands were wrapped in bright red ropes—the contrast between crimson and snowy white was strikingly vivid. The red appeared decadent against the pure white skin, while the white seemed even more delicate under the bold red.

From Xiao Mo’s wrists, Chu Jinglan’s eyes traveled up to meet his gaze. Xiao Mo’s dark red eyes had faded back to their normal black hue, and he was quietly watching Chu Jinglan.

Underneath his sleeve, Chu Jinglan’s fingers twitched slightly—but he didn’t lift his hand.

Instead, he simply lay down and closed his eyes, leaving behind a single sentence: “Untie them yourself.”

After lying down, Chu Jinglan turned his back to Xiao Mo and shut his eyes. Moments later, he felt the mattress dip slightly as Xiao Mo shuffled into bed beside him. From behind him came Xiao Mo’s voice: “Are you angry?”

“No,” Chu Jinglan replied.

“Then why won’t you untie me?” Xiao Mo asked.

“It’s something you can easily do yourself,” Chu Jinglan answered flatly.

“But you’re the one who tied me up—it’s only natural that you should untie me,” Xiao Mo said matter-of-factly as he poked Chu Jinglan’s back.

The residual sensation of their spiritual collision in the inner sea still lingered faintly in Chu Jinglan’s body. The moment Xiao Mo poked him, his entire body reflexively tensed up. He turned sharply and grabbed Xiao Mo’s wrist with a swift motion, blurting out: “Don’t move—”

The words were almost identical to what he had said earlier during their chaotic encounter in the inner sea. Realizing this, Chu Jinglan froze mid-sentence and fell silent.

Xiao Mo’s cool wrist pressed against Chu Jinglan’s warm palm. Now that he had grabbed it, letting go felt awkward—but holding on felt equally uncomfortable.

Xiao Mo had deliberately provoked him into turning around. The touch of their skin reignited some of those lingering sensations from earlier. Though it made him slightly uneasy, Xiao Mo managed to suppress his reaction and maintained an unaffected expression. He even pretended to study Chu Jinglan seriously before nodding lightly: “Hmm, seems like you’re really not angry.”

On a bed that wasn’t particularly large or small, two young men lay side by side—not too close but not far apart either. Every detail of each other’s expressions was within clear view. In fact, one could probably count every strand of each other’s lashes if they wanted to.

Chu Jinglan heard his heart beat inexplicably faster for a moment before slowly returning to normal.

Sharing a bed with someone like this—it was a first for him.

It seemed many of his firsts involved Xiao Mo.

The same could be said for Xiao Mo.

Finally giving in with a sigh of resignation, Chu Jinglan released Xiao Mo’s wrist and lowered his gaze as he personally untied the ropes binding him.

Without the interlude of the demonic cultivator, their flying boat journey proceeded peacefully and smoothly. The flying boat successfully arrived at Yuan City in Hengdu Prefecture within the estimated time.

The Phantom Moon Secret Realm was a hundred li away from Yuan City. Xiao Mo and Chu Jinglan had to continue their journey. The two arrived near the Phantom Moon Secret Realm two days before it opened, by which time the surroundings were already crowded with people.

The major factions occupied prominent positions. The teams from the Cloud Peak Six Sects and the Immortal Alliance were particularly noticeable, as was the Jinxiu Pavilion. Xiao Mo spotted the young master Wang who had been seasick on the flying boat.

Notably, the leaders of both the Cloud Peak Six Sects and the Immortal Alliance were actually at the Divided Spirit stage.

Even though their cultivation would be suppressed to the peak Nascent Soul stage after entering the secret realm, their combat experience and accumulated aura would still be superior to other Nascent Soul cultivators, giving them a significant advantage.

Xiao Mo hoped to avoid confronting them when competing for treasures.

The affiliated sects of the two major forces followed behind them. The Huanjian Sect was inconspicuous among the Immortal Alliance forces, with few people paying attention to them.

Dai Zisheng was not present for this journey. The team was led by a Nascent Soul cultivator. Mu Jian was there, and so was Su Baimo.

Su Baimo had made rapid progress recently. According to him, he had gained some insights and had already reached the middle stage of Foundation Establishment.

But in reality, he had practiced dual cultivation with someone.

It wasn’t with Dai Zisheng or Mu Jian, but with a certain Golden Core disciple from the Huanjian Sect.

That Golden Core disciple was already betrothed, but lacked self-control. After being seduced, he only dared to secretly engage in dual cultivation with Su Baimo without making it known, which perfectly suited Su Baimo’s intentions.

This way, neither Dai Zisheng nor Mu Jian would know that he had already been intimate with someone else.

In the original story, everyone thought Su Baimo’s first time was with Mu Jian, but in a place unknown to readers, Su Baimo had easily gone to bed with someone else.

In Su Baimo’s storage device lay a bottle of medicine, which the Golden Core disciple who was having an affair with him had found at his request. It was said to be very rare, and even Nascent Soul cultivators who came into contact with it would be consumed by burning desire.

It was a romance drug meant for scheming against others.

Su Baimo lifted his eyes to look at Mu Jian.

Unable to find a suitable opportunity in the sect on ordinary days, he hoped to find a chance to make his move in this secret realm, to make Mu Jian fall for his trap and become entangled with him. After all, Mu Jian’s status, cultivation, and appearance were all far superior to that Golden Core disciple.

Omg??? Su Baimo, I was actually kinda liking your character before but it plummeted significantly

    1. juni says:

Right? At the start, he was like this cunning little fox character, pretty standard QT stuff. But now, drugging someone to get intimate? Eww, that’s just nasty.

      1. Apple says:

Naaa. I saw this beforehand. It felt like all of his achievements were done underhandedly. And he is a double tea. Whitelotus and green tea bitch. If you can create a harem with diverse background like him most of the time it’s their greediness that powers their desire. Which I’m not really mad or anything… Im amazed actually. But yeah…! This aint unique to some extent. Admirable sometimes. But anoying to be one of the canonfodder if you’ll be stuck with him in a story

        1. Rua says:

Agreed 100%!! I actually quite enjoy ambitious shous that aren’t afraid to pursue their goals even if it involves some scheming or making a harem, but using underhanded green tea methods like drugging others to gain benefits or ruining people’s engagements or marriages like a homewrecker? Nahh that ain’t it ._. To be fair he was already labeled a scum shou to begin with, but it got real as soon as he started openly flirting with Dai Zisheng in front of Chu Jinglan, his fiance at the time…

          1. Yenna says:

Me too, I enjoy such characters, but using such underhanded tricks made my expectations for Su Baimo go away. But still amazed by his character tho.

      2. Fujiwara says:

I was actually thinking before if he really was lucky to actually stumble on Mu Jian in that situation or maybe he has something to do with the aphrodisiac lol. Not that surprising he really did it. But I’m actually quite astounded he still has the gall to act innocent and justified even in his own pov after everything he has done.

  2. jiangyuhua says:

i kinda amazed by su baimo tho. not in a good way, but amazed by his character setting. now we only need answer why original chu jinglan did what he did. due to su baimo’s scheme too? or he actually didn’t do all that for sbm after all?

    thanks for the chapter!

    1. Elle says:

Actually I think CJL didn’t do anything for SBM at all 🤔 look, in the chapter of the “tears” that “moved CJL”, the ML wasn’t looking at SBM, but at Xiao Mo. I actually think… Maybe I’m wrong… That Xiao Mo actually exists in the og story. It’s just that because the book uses SBM as the Main Character, we only see what SBM can see/understand.

  3. RaceID says:

so basically what would happen is that Si Baimo would successfully drugged Mu Jian, but then Xiao Mo would eat up that desire leading to something happen between him and Chi Jinglan

  4. spicysoup says:

The slutty shou is back… 😂😂😂

  5. Ketkai says:

can’t believe he was allowed in this journey. Su Baimo surprises me each time i see him. Dang he didn’t slack off that plan. Really picked and dual cultivated with a scum person who’s betrothed. And now plans on ruining Mu Jian 💀
Excited how mc will ruin his plans again.

Previous commenter makes me curious OwO really wonder how he captured ml in the novel.

  6. Ayumi says:

  7. Tyler says:

    That homewrecking wh*re is back

  8. Guest says:

His plans of dual cultivation was already mentioned a few chapters ago but I’m still flabbergasted, what the heck?

  9. Addictedtofiction says:

Compared to other slutty shous I’ve read about su baimo carries the crown, he is not only good at tea arts but is also ready to take action to achieve his goals, the guy is not just sitting around waiting for strong cultivators he takes whoever he gets then plan for the next one. It’s sick but impressive
