ARIWLBBC Chapter 88

Shameless

Nais gave the boy a deep look before beginning to take out some items.

A calming spray, a reinforced tether rope, and a black gun.

“What’s this?” Bo Ge curiously held the gun and aimed it, noticing the unique design of the muzzle and the particularly thick barrel.

“A net gun. It will help you bring your master back,” Nais said with a calm smile, teaching Bo Ge how to use it. “Turn on the switch, lock onto your target, and it will auto-track. However, the range cannot exceed 300 meters, or the accuracy will be affected.”

Tucking the gun into his waistband, Bo Ge bid farewell to the sea hare and made it to the office within fifteen minutes.

After entering the office, he quickly closed the door behind him, only to be greeted by complete darkness.

The windows were tightly shut, and blackout panels blocked any natural light. Bo Ge tried calling out, “Lights on,” but there was no response.

Rather than assuming the black panther had turned off the smart voice assistant, Bo Ge was more inclined to believe that a certain panther had chewed through some wires somewhere.

With the door shut, it was time to catch the cat. Bo Ge held his breath, pulled out the net gun from his waistband, and leaned against the wall, inching forward cautiously.

In such a dark environment, the black panther had a significant advantage. Cats moved silently, and combined with their lightning-fast reflexes, they were natural-born hunters.

Compared to catching the cat, Bo Ge felt he was more likely to be caught by the cat.

Leaning against the wall, Bo Ge vaguely noticed a pair of golden eyes under the desk. Carefully creeping closer, he saw the eyes were round and motionless.

Bo Ge approached the desk with caution and lowered his head for a closer look. It turned out those weren’t the panther’s eyes at all—they were two golden buttons that had popped off the panther’s clothing.

Staring blankly at the buttons, Bo Ge suddenly caught a faint whiff of a subtle fragrance from behind. Startled, he was about to stand up when a paw landed on his shoulder. Heavy breaths brushed against the nape of his neck.

Bo Ge froze, turning his eyes slightly to the side, every hair on his body standing on end.

When had the panther gotten so close to him? Bo Ge hadn’t noticed a thing. Or perhaps, from the moment he walked in, the panther had been lying in wait behind him, ready to pounce.

A fully aroused panther had no rationality, and no one could predict what might happen next. Bo Ge kept his shoulder still and slowly adjusted the muzzle of the net gun in his hand, inching it toward the figure behind him.

It seemed that the panther noticed Bo Ge’s subtle movements. The paw on his shoulder pressed down slightly, as if warning him: I’ve caught on to your little tricks—don’t move.

Bo Ge felt the pressure.

In the old stories, when a traveler walked through a forest at night, a wild wolf might place its paw on their shoulder. If the traveler turned their head, the wolf would bite their neck. The correct course of action was…

Taking a deep breath, Bo Ge tucked the net gun securely into his waistband. Then, in one swift motion, he grabbed the large paw on his shoulder with both hands, bent forward, and yanked. The move flipped the panther onto the ground. Bo Ge followed up with a foot pinning the panther’s neck and aimed the net gun at its forehead.

“Roar!” The panther began to struggle, its blood-red eyes glowing like two flames in the darkness.

Bo Ge lifted his foot and fired the net gun. A large net shot out, instantly trapping the panther, who had attempted to flee.

Using his light-brain device to illuminate the room, Bo Ge pulled out the calming spray and gave the panther a good dose.

The panther glared at him with unwavering defiance, roaring and thrashing. But the more it struggled, the more it inhaled the spray. Before long, it unwillingly passed out, looking like a sedated house cat after a spay surgery—its tongue hanging slightly out of its mouth.

“Quan Zhang?” Bo Ge knocked on the panther’s belly. “You okay?”

A glow emerged from the panther’s abdomen, faintly red through its fur and skin.

“Good, nothing serious.” Bo Ge exhaled deeply, checked the mechanical exoskeleton on his body, and grabbed the net to drag the unconscious panther out of the office.

As he exited, he saw a pair of black boots. Looking up, he recognized the odd-eyed white cat beastman he’d seen before.

“Uh, hi,” the beastman said nervously, holding a shiny new sensor panel and avoiding eye contact with Bo Ge.

“Hello.” Bo Ge instinctively blocked the panther behind him.

“I’m here to install a new sensor panel for the Chief’s office,” the white cat explained awkwardly, lowering his gaze—only to spot the panther trapped in the net.

“This is…?”

Bo Ge’s mind raced before he forced a shy smile. “We were playing a game and accidentally made a mess of the office.”

“A game?” The white cat’s eyes widened.

“You know, like… hunter and bunny. A chase game,” Bo Ge said, scratching his head in embarrassment. “Sorry for the trouble.”

“No trouble at all.” The white cat couldn’t help but glance again at the “bunny” caught in the net. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined the Chief would play such intense games in the office!

“Well, you can go in and fix it. I’ll take Shuangshuang and leave,” Bo Ge said apologetically. “The place is a bit messy, and the lights aren’t working…”

“No problem, leave it to me.” The white cat straightened up and confidently promised, “I’ll have it fixed by tomorrow.”

“Thank you.” Bo Ge stepped aside to let the white cat in, then hoisted the net and sprinted away. By the time the white cat noticed the chaos inside the office and tried to find Bo Ge again, the hallway was empty.

“This is… way too intense,” the white cat muttered, staring in shock at the wreckage.

Dragging the net home, Bo Ge downed several glasses of water to recover. Meanwhile, Nais prepared an emetic, which made the panther dry-heave for a long time until it finally spat out Quan Zhang.

Along with Quan Zhang came a long, soft strand of fur—something the panther must have licked into its stomach.

Nais quickly cleaned up the mess, carefully washing the battered Quan Zhang. Once cleaned, the scepter cried out as soon as it saw Bo Ge, clutching his finger and sobbing miserably.

“The Chief was fine this morning, but after watching a few of your projections, he lost control again! He even swallowed me whole! And yet I repaid his malice with kindness by bringing out the fur he swallowed. I’m just too diligent—boohoo!”

“There, there.” Bo Ge sighed, comforting Quan Zhang. It was a troublesome time. Only a month had passed since the last full heat, and it was happening again already?

“Master’s heat cycle has stabilized,” Nais reported after checking the panther. “It’s highly likely this will occur two days every month.”

“What should we do now?” Bo Ge asked, concerned. “Yesterday I upset him, and today I had to subdue him by force. He’s been glaring at me with such hatred.”

“Well, we could… tie him up?” Nais suggested tactfully. “After all, if the Chief truly goes berserk, the damage could be severe.”

“I agree!” Quan Zhang immediately raised its mechanical paw. “He won’t remember anything when he wakes up anyway.”

After some thought, Bo Ge also raised his hand. “I agree too. I’ve got a lot of homework these two days, and he’s already given me tons of extra problems to solve.”

One person and two machines exchanged glances, reaching a perfect consensus.

Later, Bo Ge finished his remaining online classes and came out for dinner. As he ate, Nais stood by, giving a report.

“Master has been securely restrained.”

“Good.” Bo Ge happily enjoyed his meal.

“But there’s a small issue,” Quan Zhang said, floating beside Bo Ge’s ear. “Master is on a hunger strike. He refuses to eat anything.”

Now he’s on a hunger strike?

“I’ll go take a look.” Bo Ge carried his dinner plate and followed Nais to a hidden door. Nais opened the door, revealing a staircase leading to a basement.

“This place has the best soundproofing,” Nais explained with a helpless shrug. “The Chief’s roars were too loud.”

“That shouldn’t matter, though,” Bo Ge said, scratching his head. “This is a no-man’s zone. Aside from me, the only other living being here is Teacher Tu, and she’s signed a confidentiality agreement.”

“So, what do you suggest?” Nais asked, listening attentively.

“Move him upstairs. This basement is freezing,” Bo Ge replied, rubbing his arms. After taking just a few steps, he could already hear the panther’s angry roars echoing through the space.

Nais opened another door, and Bo Ge saw the panther tied up tightly, secured to a frame with multiple layers of restraints.

“Roar!” The panther growled furiously at the sight of Bo Ge, thrashing violently as it tried to break free.

Bo Ge reached for the calming spray, which still had a little left, and gave the panther two quick doses.

The black panther glared weakly but furiously at the boy. Bo Ge glanced at the restraints binding the panther, then turned to Nais. “Pretty professional work, huh?”

“Thank you for the compliment, young master,” Nais replied with a smile.

“Mimi,” Bo Ge called softly as he reached out to pet the panther. “Don’t be mad. We’ll only keep you tied up for two days. Once you’re back to your senses, I promise to let you go.”

“Roar!” The panther growled angrily, clenching and unclenching its claws.

“How about some food?” Bo Ge picked up a piece of fragrant roasted meat from his plate and offered it to the panther’s mouth.

The panther stubbornly turned its head away, looking as though it would rather die than comply.

“If you eat like a good boy, I’ll move you upstairs. Deal?” Bo Ge patted the panther’s head. In response, the panther snapped its head up, attempting to bite Bo Ge’s hand, but the boy dodged quickly.

“Young master, are you alright?” the staff-like artifact, Scepter, asked worriedly, flying over.

“Phew.”

Bo Ge took a deep breath and turned to glare fiercely at the big cat.

“Go ahead and roar all you want! This is a no-man’s zone. Even if you scream your lungs out, no one’s coming to save you!”

Both Nais and Scepter froze, trying hard to suppress their laughter.

The sight of the human boy attempting to intimidate the panther was anything but threatening—more like adorably fierce.

The panther stared blankly at the boy for a moment, seemingly taken aback by the scolding, before hurriedly turning its head away as if to deny being charmed by his looks.

“If you don’t eat, I’ll shave all your fur off!” Bo Ge threatened, doubling down.

The panther’s ears twitched but remained unmoved.

“And I’ll take away your two little bells too!” Bo Ge delivered his ultimate threat, resting a hand on the panther’s soft belly and slowly moving downward.

The touch made the panther’s stomach tense, its tail-tip twitching nervously. Its body, oddly enough, seemed to enjoy the human’s touch despite the supposed threat.

“Choose: eat the meat or lose your bells!” Bo Ge pressed, trying to sound more intimidating.

Faced with the ultimatum, the panther fell silent, visibly torn. The boy held up two fingers, mimicking scissors, and clicked them open and shut in front of the panther’s eyes.

For the sake of preserving its dignity and escaping from this human tyrant, the panther grudgingly ate the meat offered to it.

“That’s a good boy,” Bo Ge said with a sigh of relief, feeding the entire plate of roasted meat to the big cat. Seeing how quickly it ate, he had Nais bring over two more plates.

After ensuring the panther was well-fed, Bo Ge gave it a pat on the head as a reward. The panther still snapped at him, but Bo Ge withdrew his hand quickly and clasped them behind his back, trying to appear imposing. “Nais, move this disobedient panther upstairs! Let him see who’s boss!”

“Understood, young master,” Nais replied, playing along. Despite the panther’s relentless struggle, they managed to sedate it again.

“Young master, where should we move him?” Nais pulled up a blueprint for Bo Ge to choose a room.

“Our bedroom,” Bo Ge decided, feeling a twinge of pity as he patted the panther’s large paw. “Tied up like this—won’t it hurt him?”

“If we don’t tie him tightly, the master will escape in no time,” Nais explained while loosening the restraints slightly. “Don’t worry; the master is very resilient.”

Later that night, the panther groggily opened its eyes, only to find the human tyrant standing before it, wearing thin sleepwear. The human’s sweet, intoxicating scent filled the air, leaving the panther feeling weak and powerless to resist.

“Mimi,” Bo Ge said softly, stroking the panther’s head. “We can’t sleep together tonight, so remember to stay quiet. Otherwise, I’ll have to stuff your mouth with a sock.”

The panther stared blankly at the boy, captivated by his pink lips and the slender neck so close to its face. It vaguely caught the words “sleep together.”

Sleep together?!

Did this human tie him up for his body?

Unbelievable! How could such shameless humans exist in the universe?

An excellent panther must uphold its integrity! No matter how alluring the human was, it would never give in!

The panther stubbornly turned its head away as Bo Ge reluctantly patted its belly.

Is it starting?

The panther closed its eyes, bracing itself for the human’s next move.

But Bo Ge, exhausted from the day, yawned after a few strokes and climbed into bed to sleep.

After lying still for a long time, the panther opened one eye, cautiously glancing around. The human boy who had just been standing before him, trying to tempt him, was now fast asleep on the bed.

He gave up just like that?

The panther felt a deep sense of frustration. Was the human’s idea of seduction merely stroking its belly? Where was the follow-through?

“Roar, roar!” The panther let out a loud cry. Bo Ge, a light sleeper, woke up immediately and turned to look. The panther was still tied up tightly, roaring louder than it had in the basement.

Scratching his head, Bo Ge began searching for the fuzzy socks he’d bought earlier.

The panther stopped roaring, watching the boy intently. Was he looking for tools? If it couldn’t resist the temptation, what then?

That wicked human tyrant! How dare he covet its body! The panther glanced down at itself—apart from its slightly ruffled belly fur, it was flawless!

Finally, Bo Ge found the socks, but by then, the panther had stopped roaring altogether.
