ABLO Chapter 40

Ancheng, Military District.

A soldier in military uniform, carrying several bags, walked into the unit with a beaming smile, made his way to the high-level meeting room, and excitedly opened the door and went in.

Lu Yang sat at the head of the table, leaning back in his chair, supporting his chin with one hand. His gaze fell on a white porcelain rabbit ornament on the table. It was unclear what he was thinking, but his lowered eyes appeared somewhat gentle.

A few of his subordinates were sitting in the room, all looking down at the documents and reports in their hands, each lost in thought. The meeting room was quiet; although the meeting had not yet begun, no one made a sound.

“Major General, look what I bought for you!” The soldier pushed open the door and shouted excitedly, breaking the silence in the room.

Everyone looked over at him. Lu Yang also raised his head. His chiseled cheekbones became even more defined in the sunlight. Years in the military had given his eyes a sharp glint that made it hard for people to look directly at him.

He frowned when he saw what the soldier was holding.

Li Zhan sat below Lu Yang. He came to Ancheng with the Blue Wolf Unit two years ago. He is now the deputy general of the Ancheng Military Camp and a capable subordinate of Lu Yang.

He followed Lu Yang’s line of sight and smiled. He choked out: “Chen Xiaoer, you are just looking for a fight, right? You can take a vacation if you want. Why did you buy a green hat[mfn]green hat means that their S/O is cheating on the wearer[/mfn] for the Major General?”
