After breakfast, Lu Yang personally sent Ruan Mian to the hospital. Ruan Mian worked the whole morning. Doctor Wang said that everyone worked hard yesterday, and it was a shift holiday today, so he let everyone go off work early.

Ruan Mian left the hospital at two o’clock in the afternoon. He had nothing to do, so he walked around nearby. He happened to see someone selling ice cream, so he bought two and ran to the military district alone to pick up Lu Yang after getting off work.

By now, most people in the military district knew him. After all, he was the fiancée of the district’s youngest Major General, making it hard not to attract attention. If Lu Yang and Ruan Mian love each other, then he would rather give up and bless them, but if they are just together for a forced engagement, then he doesn’t think they need to do this.

Lu Yang touched his chin and thought for a while, “My feelings for Mian Mian are more than just liking him. It’s more than friendship, more than love—there’s also a familial bond. We have been together since we were young, and we will continue to be together in the future. That’s enough.”
