Meng Ting’s feet moved, stretching out from under the blanket, and then he used both his hands and feet to embrace Yan Sui. He didn’t know what comforting words to say to Yan Sui, so he could only express his feelings through the hug.
“Are you going to send someone to look for him?”
It had only been an hour or two since he last saw Yan Yu, and even if he had left Country F, he wouldn’t have moved that quickly. If Yan Sui went looking for him, he would definitely be able to find him.
However, Yan Sui shook his head. “He can’t be found.”
Yan Yu had been missing for nearly twenty-eight years, and during these more than twenty years, he hadn’t been idle; otherwise, Yan Manjia wouldn’t have searched all over Country F without finding him. Perhaps he never left Country F, or maybe the surveillance by Yan Manjia and Yan Zhengbo was of no use to him at all.
If he wants to come to Country F, he would come to Country F; he always comes and goes freely. The men of the Yan family were not useless; Grandpa Yan often told him this, and perhaps this holds true for Yan Yu as well.
Moreover, if he wants to see him, he doesn’t only have the option of searching for him; there are other ways, like figuring out why he frequently appears in Country F, understanding He Yue’s current situation, or uncovering the truth about what happened back then…
At that time, he wouldn’t even need to search for Yan Yu; he would appear on his own.
This was also his feeling, even stronger than the feeling of breaking ties with He Wan.
Meng Ting fell silent for a moment, then decided not to continue discussing this somewhat heavy topic with Yan Sui. “He didn’t let me follow him, so I didn’t. I came back to find you but couldn’t, and only realized it was late when I checked the time.”
“A little girl told me that if you apologize, gifts make it easier to get forgiveness. I helped the owner at a perfume shop, and as payment, he gave me money, which I used to buy flowers.”
He intended to give that bouquet of flowers to Yan Sui as an apology, but Yan Sui pulled him back, not paying much attention to the flowers, which were still on the living room floor.
Meng Ting wasn’t short on money; on the contrary, whether it was the dividends from the shares Yan Sui gave him or the funds from the Meng family, he had enough to buy the entire shop, whether he wanted a perfume store or a flower shop.
But Meng Ting felt it was different. Buying flowers for Yan Sui with money he earned himself felt more sincere.
“You don’t seem to like it?”
Meng Ting asked gloomily, and then without waiting for Yan Sui’s reply, he perked up again, “I’ll get you something better next time.”
Although the bouquet was carefully chosen by him, the flowers available at the flower shop were limited; no matter how well he picked, it still wasn’t good enough. It made sense that Yan Sui didn’t like it.
Yan Sui’s hand slid to the side of Meng Ting’s neck, bringing their gazes together, and then he leaned in slightly and kissed his lips, saying, “I like it.”
Just now, he could only see Meng Ting, and didn’t even have time to pay attention to the flowers in his hand, unaware that Meng Ting had specially chosen them to apologize to him; he thought they were just another gift from someone else.
Meng Ting gently pulled his arm around his neck, bringing their foreheads into contact. After a moment, Meng Ting smiled and said, “That’s good.”
“Are you still angry?”
Meng Ting rubbed his nose against Yan Sui’s and asked softly. This was the first time Meng Ting had ever seen Yan Sui upset, or more specifically, angry at him.
“Are you scared?” Yan Sui’s grip on him remained firm, only allowing Meng Ting to move around in his embrace. It was unlikely that he would be able to escape that hold for the time being.
Meng Ting thought for a moment, gently shook his head, then nodded.
“I’m afraid you’ll always be angry with me and won’t talk to me anymore.” He was also afraid that Yan Sui would no longer want him because of this.
Although Meng Ting didn’t voice his greatest fear, Yan Sui saw right through it. He sighed softly, turned his face away, pressed his cheek against Meng Ting’s, and solemnly said in his ear, “That won’t happen. I will want you; I will always want you.”
“I’ll remember your words, Yan Sui. I will remember them forever,” Meng Ting said, then used all his strength to hold Yan Sui tighter.
“Good,” a smile finally appeared on Yan Sui’s face as he gently patted Meng Ting’s back. He had indeed reacted too strongly earlier, but even now, the fear and guilt he felt were still too intense to ignore.
Meng Ting was important to him——very important. Yan Sui reaffirmed this point once again.
After a long while, Meng Ting quietly said, somewhat out of place, “I’m hungry.”

After Yan Sui took the person away, Ashe hesitated about whether to barge into the suite or not. He was afraid that Yan Sui would use the same tactics he used against them to deal with Meng Ting. But this was his wife; how could he be treated the same way as those rough-and-thick-skinned brothers of theirs?
He wandered outside the suite, and then the door swung open.
Yan Sui came out, holding the person, his breath completely steady, while Meng Ting appeared unscathed as well. Ashe’s heart finally settled a bit.
He opened his arms, wanting to give Meng Ting a hug, but as soon as his hands were outstretched, Yan Sui’s gaze turned cold, and he quickly retracted his hands.
“Meng Meng, where have you been? Both Yan and I were going crazy.”
Meng Ting looked at him, then glanced at Yan Sui and sincerely apologized, “I’m sorry, it was my fault.”
“No, no, no, it was my fault…”
As they spoke, they headed towards the restaurant, and in the end, they didn’t reach a conclusion about who was more at fault.
The dinner was quite lavish. After Ashe settled his heart back in his stomach, he became lively again. Yan Sui didn’t speak much, and Meng Ting occasionally nodded, but it didn’t stop Ashe from talking from start to finish. As a price, he was stuffed with a belly full of dog food by Yan Sui and Meng Ting.
Even people taking care of their son weren’t as meticulous as Yan Sui. Anything he could do didn’t require Meng Ting to lift a finger. Thus, he finally understood that he had worried for nothing before; how could Yan Sui possibly lay a hand on Meng Ting?
After dinner, Ashe no longer mentioned the originally planned river outing. The day’s events had somewhat shaken the three of them, and while Yan Sui now appeared to have recovered, it was hard to say to what extent.
“The driver is on standby at any time. Just give a call if you want to go anywhere; I won’t disturb you.”
Ashe also had his own troubles to deal with. He was unable to avoid the situation with Yan Sui and Meng Ting, so he naturally had to look for other places.
After parting in the elevator in front of the restaurant, Yan Sui turned his head and looked at Meng Ting. “Do you still want to go out for a walk?”
Meng Ting studied Yan Sui, hesitating for a moment before shaking his head. After such a long time, he felt a hint of fear——fear of getting lost and possibly never seeing Yan Sui again. Therefore, he decided not to venture out for the time being.
“Alright, let’s go back to the room.”
Yan Sui gently touched Meng Ting’s cheek and then led him toward the elevator.
***
After taking a shower, it was still early. Meng Ting leaned against the window, gazing at the city’s countless lights. His eyes were calm, and his heart was at peace. When Yan Sui came out of the bathroom, he walked over to the window and embraced him. Suddenly, Meng Ting’s tranquility was stirred with a few ripple of emotions.
The two stood quietly in each other’s arms for a while before Meng Ting turned to Yan Sui and asked, “Are we going home tomorrow?”
Although Country F was fun and he liked the Rose Manor, he knew this wasn’t their home. Their home was where they got married, in Xia Country, in Haicheng.
“Going home,” Yan Sui said, tilting his head to kiss Meng Ting’s cheek. He wrapped his arms around him, turning Meng Ting to face him. The two locked eyes and then slowly leaned in, sharing a gentle kiss that carried a hint of the night breeze. The kiss lasted for a long, long time, completely lost in each other.
As their lips parted, Meng Ting’s eyes were still not fully open when Yan Sui kissed him again. This time, the kiss was not just tender; it also held an uncontrollable desire. The two of them kissed while making their way to the sofa, unwilling to spare even a moment to return to the room.
“Don’t be afraid; I won’t hurt you,” Yan Sui whispered in Meng Ting’s ear before taking his already flushed earlobe into his mouth. Meng Ting let out a soft cat-like mewl, and the blush on his face deepened a bit more.
“Yan Sui… aren’t we going back to the room?”
“No,” Yan Sui replied firmly to Meng Ting, gently turning him over and leaning down to bite his Adam’s apple. The brush of his tongue sent Meng Ting’s body into a state of weakness, his eyes widening slightly as familiar yet not fully adapted desires surged within him.
His instinctive reaction was to lift his foot and hook it around Yan Sui’s waist, but he quickly felt it was inappropriate and tried to retract it. However, Yan Sui had already pinned his foot down, not allowing him to pull back. “Just like this, don’t move.”
“Okay, okay…” Meng Ting responded, his eyes narrowing slightly. In his hazy gaze, he saw Yan Sui’s passionate yet restrained expression, just like the look he had when he kissed every inch of him earlier that evening. At that moment, he hadn’t been in the mood to notice, but now he was.
The thought of wanting to make him happy from last night resurfaced. His hand moved away from the sofa cushion and climbed up Yan Sui’s chest. He leant slightly forward, mimicking the strength and technique of Yan Sui’s kisses, and began to kiss earnestly.
Yan Sui wanted to remind Meng Ting not to move, but the words wouldn’t come out. He held the person down, preventing the two from tumbling off the sofa, continuing his own actions while enduring Meng Ting’s unrestrained ignition.
Meng Ting, however, ran out of strength halfway through the kiss. He grasped Yan Sui’s hand and licked his fingertips, considering his kiss complete, but Yan Sui’s reaction was even more intense than before.
Last night’s fuss had made Meng Ting sick, and at this moment, Yan Sui still retained a bit of rationality. However, when it came to matters like this, Meng Ting turned out to be a self-taught little vixen whose sole purpose was to suck him dry. If he could still endure this, he would be unworthy of being a man.
He first had Meng Ting help him out with his hands, and only then did he get to the main event. Despite this, both he and Meng Ting felt as though they were going crazy.
“Not yet… ready? I think it should be fine…”
Meng Ting was lying on the sofa’s back, his toes slightly curled up, and his entire body was glowing pink. He felt soft all over, his hands and feet weak, having been stimulated to the point of release several times, yet Yan Sui behind him showed no sign of stopping.
“Ah, hm…”
He finally managed to utter a complete sentence, which quickly turned into a somewhat strange, soft call.
“No need to hold back; I like your voice.”
Yan Sui gently wrapped his arm around Meng Ting, supporting his body as it was about to lean over again, and leaned in close to his ear, speaking these words.
“Yan Sui…” Meng Ting tilted his head to call out, noticing a bit more red in his eyes. He continued to call, “Yan Sui, Yan Sui…”
The slightly hoarse voice, yet filled with unconscious tenderness, was utterly intoxicating.
Yan Sui tilted his head and kissed Meng Ting’s lips, finally releasing it. This long and exhausting love affair has finally come to an end.
