Cheng Yan saw Jiang Muping walking towards them. Although he froze for a while, out of subconscious politeness, he nodded to Jiang Muping, but his movements were a little stiff.

 

Most university professors can’t remember all the names of their students, let alone professors like Jiang Muping who not only supervise master’s and doctoral students but also teach undergraduate students. Lin Weijing also looked at Cheng Yan, “Ge… Do you know the professor?”

Lin Weijing looked surprised, “How did you two know each other?”

 

 

“Why would a kid ask so many questions?” Cheng Yan avoided his question.

 

“…I’m already twenty-one.”

 

Jiang Muping glanced at Cheng Yan and revealed their latest connection in front of everyone present, “We met through a blind date.”

Cheng Yan hummed, “Keep working hard.”

 

“Ge, how did you two meet? Who introduced you to each other?”

 

“My former art teacher is Professor Jiang’s cousin.”

 

“Professor Jiang’s cousin has good taste.” Lin Weijing said sweetly, praising Cheng Yan in various ways. “Ge, do you two have a chance?”

 

“No.” Cheng Yan said simply.

 

“Ah?” Lin Weijing’s face fell. “Are you sure? Don’t you like Professor Jiang?”

 

Cheng Yan suddenly felt that there was a generation gap between him and Lin Weijing. Lin Weijing was young and seemed to have never been in love. Perhaps because of this, his doubts at this moment were childish and silly.

 

Cheng Yan laughed dumbly, “Is it so easy to like someone?”

Zhu Yu came out from the inner room, “Laoshi.”

 

The smile on Lin Weijing’s face disappeared instantly, and Zhu Yu greeted him, “Lin ge.”

 

Lin Weijing nodded stiffly.

 

Zhu Yu smiled sweetly, “It’s been a long time since we last met. Why are you here today?”

 

“I just wanted to come.”

 

Zhu Yu said “Oh” and looked at Cheng Yan, “Laoshi, there is a client coming from Jin City. He said he has an appointment with you today at three o’clock.”

“Stay by yourself.” Cheng Yan instructed Lin Weijing, “If you’re tired, go to my room and rest. Remember to take off your clothes. You are not allowed to wear outwear on the bed.”

 

“I know.”

 

“Lin ge, do you want some water?” Zhu Yu asked Lin Weijing.

 

“No, thank you.”

 

Zhu Yu was watering the potted plants on the counter with a cartoon-style kettle. Lin Weijing folded his arms and looked at him, saying calmly, “Aren’t you an apprentice? Why do you do assistant chores all day long?”

 

“These flowers are raised by the teacher. They are very delicate and need to be taken good care of.”

 

Lin Weijing walked up behind him and asked, “Is this how you please my brother?”

 

Zhu Yu was stunned. He turned around and stared at Lin Weijing for a few seconds before suddenly bursting into laughter. “I was wondering why you were giving me such a sour face. I thought I had offended you somewhere.”

 

Lin Weijing turned down the corner of his mouth and frowned slightly.

 

Zhu Yu turned around and muttered to himself, “How can someone who has good education be so stupid?”

 

Lin Weijing put his arm around Zhu Yu’s waist a

nd slapped the counter with his palm, “What are you mumbling about?”

 

“Lin ge,” Zhu Yu continued watering the flowers with his back to Lin Weijing, “Laoshi, is your brother, not mine.”
