Chapter 6 :決定
[Decision]
The next few days, Tang Xiaobao did not go out again, after all, every time he went out, he had to follow a bunch of people, and had to buy a bunch of things he didn’t need, which made Tang Xiaobao feel very uncomfortable.
Because of his health, Ji Ling has been staying in his room for the past few days to recuperate. It was during these days that Tang Xiaobao learnt that Ji Ling was not that sick, but because he was weak from the moment he was still in her mother’s womb, and that he had survived until now because he relied on the continuation of expensive medicines every day to maintain his life. If he had been in an ordinary family, he would have died of such an expensive disease, and only a family like the Ji family could have supported him.
Originally, the main family thought that Ji Ling’s health would slowly improve as the years went by, but no one realized that he had remained half-dead until now, when the main mother of the family took over and gave birth to a healthy heir, so that his sickly body would be of little value. So they sent him down, emerge and perish on its own, although the money is not less, but look at Cai Yue’s tone, the difference is probably still somehow a little big compared to when he was living in the main family.
Knowing this, Tang Xiaobao has a little bit of ‘fellow sufferers who empathize with each other’. The way he looked at Ji Ling also was not that scary like the past. In fact, through the observation of the past few days, he felt that Ji Ling marrying himself is not like he wants to continue on one’s ancestral line. After all, the body does not allow it, and he does not look like marrying a wife, but like buying back a flower vase, as long as it does not get in the way of his business, in general he is very tolerant. As the common saying goes, the eye does not see, the heart does not bother, considering him does not exist, so unless necessary, otherwise he could not say a few words.
Sitting there, looking at the books Cai Yue gave for him , Tang Xiaobao felt very boring. Although he had come here for a few days with no worries about food and clothing, he felt very depressed. Ji Ling treats him as an ordinary decoration. Although he doesn’t make things difficult for him, it’s very awkward for the two of them to get along with each other. Until now, he did not know why Ji Ling had to share the same room with himself. Obviously, there were so many rooms here, and he could not believe that he could not find another place other than the same room with himself.
At this moment, Ji Ling was lying diagonally on the couch opposite Tang Xiaobao, looking like he was asleep. Tang Xiaobao stared at him for a few moments, and wondered if it was his fault that he felt that Ji Ling was less angry now than when he had seen him.
Tang Xiaobao looked at this kind of Ji Ling, and his heart was a little tangled. According to this situation, it’s possible that Ji Ling will die on that day, and he, as Ji Ling’s Fu Lang, will be a widow by then. He was married by Ji Ling with a lot of dowry, and his stepmother didn’t even take the dowry, at that time, for the sake of good face, even the dowry was given by Ji Ling. To put it simply, after Ji Ling died, he was penniless, and when he went out, he didn’t even have the cost to do a little business. He didn’t think that the main family would not take back the things, but leave it to him, an outsider instead.
In addition to the initial panic, after Tang Xiaobao very cleverly positioned himself and Ji Ling as an employer and employee relationship, Ji Ling hired himself to play a show that he did not know why at the beginning, Tang Xiaobao of course, tried his best to co-operate. But now that his generous princelike employer is dying, Tang Xiaobao is a bit torn because he seems to have a way to help Ji Ling. But he doesn’t know if it’s worth it or not.
Ji Ling slept for a while, and then he coughed, tearing his lungs, and eventually coughed up blood. The surrounding subordinates were busy again, the doctor came again, and started to give help again. Before Tang Xiaobao was asked to go out, he saw the doctor undoing Ji Ling’s clothes, and he looked really only skin and bones.
Waiting for the doctor to come out from the room, Tang Xiaobao was entangled for a while, but still went forward to ask, “Doctor, Ji, how is my husband’s condition?”
Only after hearing Tang Xiaobao’s words did the doctor slowly take a look at the newly married ger, and seeing that the worry on his face didn’t seem to be fake, did he open his mouth and say, “I’ve been treating Ji Gongzi since he was a child, and his perseverance up to this point is already considered a miracle, so it’s not likely that he’ll be gone one day.”
Hearing the doctor’s words, Tang Xiaobao was in a trance for a while, not knowing what he was thinking.
Seeing Tang Xiaobao like this, the doctor did not continue to say anything, just shook his head, and then left with his assistant, and then the medicine was in accordance with the usual rules, grabbed and sent to their door house.
This time the condition seemed very dangerous, until the next day Ji Ling woke up. It wasn’t until he opened his eyes and felt his weak body that he realized he had passed through another ghost gate (gate of hell). When he opened his eyes, he saw Tang Xiaobao, who came to his bedside with a bowl of something unknown.
Seemingly seeing that he had woken up, Tang Xiaobao’s eyes flashed with a trace of joy. Putting the things in his hand on the small table beside him, he personally helped Ji Ling to sit up. Looking at Ji Ling, who was about to lose even his last trace of vigour, and the sharpness in his eyes, Tang Xiaobao suddenly felt a little heartbroken. From Ji Ling’s every word and behaviour, if it wasn’t for his body, he would have been an amazingly talented man.
“You’ve woken up, I’ve boiled you a bowl of porridge, drink some, it’s good for your body.” After helping Ji Ling up, Tang Xiaobao put the congee that he had made up his mind in front of Ji Ling, ready to feed him.
Only to see Ji Ling looked at the bowl of congee with difficulty, and then looked at Tang Xiaobao who was looking at him expectantly, and seemed to be weighing up what to do.
Seeing Ji Ling for half a day did not open his mouth, the originally very nervous Tang Xiaobao now more fidgety, stalemate for a while, and then he suddenly thought that he himself is a very suspicious and just married over/ into the door’s Fu Lang, how can they be assured of the food he made entered into his mouth. Just as Tang Xiaobao slowly lowered the hand holding the spoon, Ji Ling slowly opened his mouth and took a bite.
After sizing up Tang Xiaobao for half a day, he was sure that someone as stupid as him shouldn’t dare to harm himself, and since his own guards were standing right next to him, it was even more unlikely that it was something poisonous. He just woke up and didn’t want to eat, and just the moment when he wanted to open his mouth and refuse, he accidentally tasted the flavour and couldn’t stop.
Tang Xiaobao fed the congee to Ji Ling one bite at a time, and when the bowl reached the bottom, he revealed a big smile. He knew that no one could resist his food.
He didn’t know if it was because of the food or because of his own psychological effect. Ji Ling felt a little bit warmer, and even had a trace of strength. At this time, seeing Tang Xiaobao smiling silly looks, he really felt a little stupid. Suddenly he felt that he himself who just suspected him was not that good too. How can a person this stupid, think of harming people?
Seeing Ji Ling after eating, still staring at his hand’s bowl, Tang Xiaobao felt a little bit happy, but still very reasonably as he said: “If you like, I will cook for you every day. Just now, you just woke up, so you can not eat too much.”
Ji Ling nodded his head and turned his face away, not wanting to look at his silly smiling face.
Noticing Ji Ling’s dislike, Tang Xiaobao didn’t care at all, seeing that he liked to eat what he made. He thought that this was not enough for him to stuff his teeth, so he thought of making some more to make it easier for him to eat later. The patient, that is, needs to eat smaller, more frequent meals.
I’ve been here for a long time, and I finally have some use for it, and it’s still my favourite, cooking.
Waiting for Tang Xiaobao to give an explanation, then happily ran to the kitchen, watching Tang Xiaobao leave, Ji Ling then looked towards Feng Ling who had been standing there guarding, and coldly asked, “How long have I been in a coma, and what has happened in this period of time?”
Seeing Ji Ling speak with vigour, Feng Ling was a bit surprised at the beginning, then heard the content of the question, and quickly answered truthfully, “The young master was in a coma for a day, and there were no major events in the house.”
Just, the moment he recalled of a person who was very happy as he ran out, he received his own young master’s gaze, or he better said his own observations out, “Young Madam, when the young master coma, he seems to be very worried, and then when young master is about to wake up, he seems to be decided, and go to the kitchen, boiled it for a long time before boiled out of that small bowl of porridge.”
Hearing his subordinate’s words, Ji Ling lifted his eyes to look at him and faintly said, “You seem to like him a lot.”
Feng Ling lowered his head and didn’t say anything.
Cai Yue, who had been following Tang Xiaobao, watched as he happily came out with an empty bowl, originally thinking that his young master would again not eat anything as usual, or even meet with a sharp rebuff. But looking at his expression, she didn’t expect that he had actually finished eating.
Seeing Tang Xiaobao running towards the kitchen without stopping, he hurriedly followed, and then watched him very skilfully chop vegetables to prepare the pot. The chef standing by the side looked at the young madam’s hands, and stood by himself, a little entangled. He could only tentatively ask Tang Xiaobao, “Young madam, do you need help?”
Seeing the fat man beside him come to him, very careful between the tones, Tang Xiaobao realized that he had forgotten something in his excitement, so he hurriedly said towards the kitchen people who wanted to help: “No need, I’ll cook another bowl of congee. You guys only need to tell me where the ingredients I need are.” Moreover, there are some things that need to pass through his hands, only then it would be useful, otherwise it is still no different from ordinary ingredients.
Seeing him say something like this, the chef breathed a sigh of relief. He felt that Tang Xiaobao was just having a whim or prompted by a sudden impulse. If the Young Master knew that he had let the Young Madam cook by herself, it would be no joke.
Just see Tang Xiaobao very quickly fried half-cooked vegetables and poured it out, put in the prepared casserole, in order to fool people, casually put some supplements into. He instructed the subordinate who stood behind him with fear and trepidation to use what kind of fire, how long to cook, and to call himself after the cooking was done.
Seeing the subordinate’s sincere and fearful response, Tang Xiaobao turned around and prepared to go back. Cai Yue, who followed Tang Xiaobao to leave together, took a look at the porridge, she could smell the sweet smell, and then looked at the back of the person in front of him who looked very relaxed and in her eyes, she didn’t know what he was thinking.
