DL Chapter16

Confess

Min Zhi’s sense of smell seemed to be sealed, this must be the suppressant taking effect. But he could still faintly catch the scent of chamomile. Unable to resist, he lowered his head toward the Omega’s nape, where the pheromones were strongest. Pressing his nose against it, he took a deep breath. It was faint, yet enough to send a wave of pleasure through his entire body. The bite mark there hadn’t completely faded yet, but it would soon, returning to smooth skin with no trace left behind.

Min Zhi unconsciously licked the tip of his teeth.

He was holding someone in his arms. He knew exactly who it was, he was a pitiful soul that no one wanted. His husband had abandoned him, thrown him out, and now he had ended up in Min Zhi’s hands.

He brought his lips close to the Omega’s gland, it was hot to the touch. Just that light contact made the pheromones surge even stronger, flowing into his mouth without end. Min Zhi slowly extended his tongue and gave it a lick, causing the person beneath him to jolt, as if struck by lightning.

He ignored it, there was no stopping now. He’d tasted his favorite flavor: warm, with a touch of coolness, and the scent of chamomile. That intoxicating pheromone was enough to make him momentarily lose all sense of reason. Craving more, he gently took the warm, tender spot of flesh into his mouth and began to suck on it.

The Omega in his arms was completely drenched in his scent, every inch of skin, even down to the blood, was saturated with his pheromones. He belonged entirely to him. Min Zhi’s canines, meant for claiming territory, began to itch with urgency. He was desperate to bite down, to make his scent even stronger.

Fang Fengzhi trembled with fear, his body recoiling instinctively. He clung tightly to Min Zhi’s waist, fully aware that this Alpha was about to mark him. He also knew he couldn’t allow it to happen.

But he couldn’t resist. The overwhelming pheromones left him powerless to fight back, forcing him to yield, to be violated without resistance.

Just then, the person behind him, who had been lying close, suddenly sat upright.

Fang Fengzhi lifted his head and saw Min Zhi staring at him with furrowed brows. He couldn’t quite decipher that look. Was it anger? Confusion? It was complicated and layered. The expression startled him, and a vague sense of unease crept in.

But he no longer had a chance to escape.

Min Zhi’s pheromones suddenly erupted from his body like an explosion, flooding the entire room with the acrid scent of smoke. Normally, Fang Fengzhi might have found it appealing, but now, it was overwhelming and suffocating. The air was so saturated with Min Zhi’s pheromones that there was no space for anything else. Every breath Fang Fengzhi drew was saturated with that scent, invading every inch of his body with ruthless, overwhelming force.

He dared not breathe, but the pheromones still forced their way into his nostrils, invading his mind. Before he could react, his body gave in, his eyes flew wide open, pupils dilating, and he threw his head back with a scream as he climaxed.

The climax came suddenly and violently, leaving him dazed, his eyes half-open and unfocused. He couldn’t make out the expression on the man in front of him.

Min Zhi held his limp body in his arms.

Heat radiated from him as his pheromones spilled out uncontrollably. There was still a week left until his next scheduled checkup, yet somehow, his body had already accumulated this much. He lowered his eyes to look at the half-conscious Fang Fengzhi in his embrace.

Rationality brought countless thoughts to mind, yet strangely, he didn’t push Fang Fengzhi away. Instead, he held him even tighter, as if moved by instinct. The frail body was completely hidden in his arms, with only a pair of dangling legs exposed. If not for those legs, no one would’ve known he was cradling something so small and fragile.

And now, Fang Fengzhi had no way of escaping Min Zhi’s pheromones.

The body in his arms began to convulse violently, the spasms intense and uncontrollable, even his legs thrashed wildly in midair. It was like someone drowning, gasping for air, their body flailing in a desperate, involuntary struggle.

If Fang Fengzhi had been conscious, he would have realized this was, in truth, a brutal assault by pheromones.

The research facility extracted pheromones from Enigmas to use in pharmaceuticals. The main ingredient in the hospital’s most effective anesthetic, Infendone, was precisely this high-concentration Enigma pheromone. The effects of the drug were immediate and potent, rendering the user unconscious in an instant, eliminating all pain and replacing it with sheer pleasure, an overwhelming ecstasy that could feel like being thrust into heaven.

But hospitals rarely used this anesthetic due to its severe side effects.

There had been cases where Omega patients, unable to endure such intense pleasure, experienced fatal orgasms, dying from s*xual overstimulation. Even more concerning, many patients who had used it found themselves unable to forget the sensation, falling into dazed dependency or outright addiction.

Fang Fengzhi was now utterly consumed by the Enigma’s pheromones. The accumulation had become so overwhelming that its host could no longer restrain the outpour. At this point, the concentration in the room was comparable to that of the synthesized Infendone anesthetic.

Just like everyone who had ever used that drug, he was trapped in an endless climax, one completely controlled by the Enigma. It would end only when the Enigma decided it should. The Omega had no agency, no say in the matter.

His body had long since stopped ejaculating anything substantial; now only a thin, clear fluid trickled out. His nerves were on the verge of collapse, shredded by wave after wave of unbearable pleasure. He could feel himself unraveling, being dragged, no, forced, toward that so-called paradise of ecstasy.

He was powerless to resist—there was nothing he could do. All that remained were his tears, no longer soft whimpers like a fragile creature, but raw, desperate sobs that tore from his throat. He didn’t know if this would be the last sound he’d ever make.

Min Zhi was momentarily stunned by the sound of those cries. He looked at Fang Fengzhi, whose face was smeared with tears and snot, and instinctively reached out, wanting to wipe it away, but his body suddenly froze.

What was he doing?

It was as if he’d been jolted awake from a daze. In the next moment, he shot to his feet, hastily grabbed a piece of clothing to cover the Omega, and shoved him out of the room.

The auntie came hurrying over, but with a loud bang, Min Zhi slammed the door shut and locked it tightly.

Outside, the auntie’s hesitant voice filtered in, but Min Zhi stood still, eyes shut and brows tightly furrowed. A vein throbbed at his temple.

Just now… he had almost ruined that Omega.

It wasn’t until the next morning that Min Zhi finally stepped out of the room.

He saw the housekeeper alone in the kitchen. “How is he?”

The auntie didn’t know the full extent of what had happened the night before, only that Min Zhi had deliberately done something to Fang Fengzhi and then tossed him out. She looked at him with a hint of reproach. “He’s fine now. Still asleep.”

Min Zhi gave a small nod and said nothing more.

He had overestimated his self-control. He should have kept his distance from the Omega.

After breakfast, the Omega still hadn’t come downstairs. The housekeeper had prepared some food and was on her way up when Min Zhi stopped her midway. Taking the tray from her hands, he said, “I’ll take it.”

The auntie didn’t say much, but she looked at him with concern as he walked toward Fang Fengzhi’s door.

He raised his hand and lightly knocked.

The Omega was probably already awake. Soon, the faint scent of chamomile pheromones reached him, and the door opened from the inside. When Fang Fengzhi saw it was Min Zhi, his body froze for a moment, and, as a reflex, he took a few steps back. He pressed his hand tightly against the doorknob but didn’t close it.

Seeing the fearful and anxious look on his face, Min Zhi felt an inexplicable sense of frustration. “Can I come in?”

The Omega hesitated for a few seconds, then turned slightly to the side. “Come in.”

Min Zhi placed the breakfast on the small table by the side. For a moment, he didn’t know how to bring up what had happened the night before. Instead, he asked, “Is there anywhere you feel uncomfortable?”

“…No.”

He turned to see that Fang Fengzhi had deliberately put some distance between them. He also noticed the outer garment he had put on Fang Fengzhi last night hanging nearby. After a brief silence, he suddenly spoke up.

“Sorry.”

“Last night… my pheromones got out of control. I almost did something like that…”

Fang Fengzhi lowered his head, remaining silent for quite a while. The details of the previous night were blurry, but the feeling of being pushed to the edge by that overpowering pleasure still clung to him. Inside, he couldn’t help but feel an uncontrollable fear toward the Alpha standing before him.

He lifted his gaze to Min Zhi. The expression on his face seemed sincere, as if he truly felt guilty. Last night, Fang Fengzhi had indeed seen Min Zhi use a suppressant, but how could there still be such a high concentration of pheromones?

“Why…” He didn’t know how to phrase his question, but Min Zhi saw the confusion in his eyes.

“I’m not an Alpha,” he said, seeing Fang Fengzhi’s puzzled expression, he admitted, “I’m an Enigma.”

Fang Fengzhi’s eyes widened in shock.

“Sorry, I didn’t tell you earlier.”

Enigma.

Fang Fengzhi finally grasped the full extent of his predicament. Standing before him was an Enigma, the Empire’s most elite, most perilous, and most violently dominant existence.

And he had even been marked by him.
