Extra 5: Under the Iceberg (Part 2)

Fang Fengzhi’s heart swelled up and down, and he felt sad.

For himself and for Min Zhi.

At that time, he didn’t understand why Min Zhi went to find Fu Baiqi alone after his divorce and had a conflict with him. Later, he marked him so anxiously and put a ring on him, eager to ask for a status.

Later, when he saw the wound on Fu Baiqi’s gland, he came to his senses and realized that Min Zhi was seeking revenge, revenge for him.

Impulsive and impatient, these were not things that Min Zhi would do.

But now that he thinks about it carefully, he can also figure out other things.

For example, maybe every step that Min Zhi took at that time was planned in advance.

Although he seemed impatient, everything was carried out in an orderly manner. After marking him with the bottle of medicine that could temporarily put an omega into estrus, he put the wedding ring on his ring finger so that he wouldn’t be suspicious and could tie him down tightly.

These things cannot be prepared in a short time.

Without him knowing, Min Zhi began to prepare, preparing how to lock him tightly by his side.

Fang Fengzhi looked at the man in front of him, who was staring at him intently, and stepped back uncontrollably.

Min Zhi’s expression darkened at his actions. He grabbed Fang Fengzhi, about to speak, but was cut off by a baby’s cry from the room next door. Fang Fengzhi hesitated for a moment, then pulled away from Min Zhi’s grasp and walked out.

The nanny was holding the child in her arms and trying to comfort him, but it was of no use. The child was probably having a nightmare or something, and was crying heartbreakingly. Fang Fengzhi took the child, after he smelled the familiar pheromones from his mother, Min Hezhen gradually calmed down.

After crying for a while, the white and clean face was covered with sticky tears. Fang Fengzhi wet a towel and wiped the tears off the child.

Min Hezhen stared at his mother with his big eyes. The five or six-month-old child called him “Mom” in an unclear voice.

Fang Fengzhi’s heart calmed down, and he couldn’t help but kiss the tip of the child’s nose. “Zhenzhen, how can you be so cute?”

Min Hezhen laughed and kept calling him.

Min Zhi followed him in, took the bottle from the nanny, and walked to Fang Fengzhi’s side.

When the child saw him, he danced with joy, wanting his father to hold him, “b, baba…”

Min Zhi took the baby from Fang Fengzhi, cradling him with one arm while feeding him with a bottle in the other.

Min Hezhen actually drank breast milk at the beginning, but later Min Zhi heard from the nanny that it was bad for the Omega’s body and that children were naughty, and sometimes when he couldn’t suck out the milk, he would bite hard with his gums, breaking Fang Fengzhi’s skin, and it hurt so much when his clothes touched it.

Min Zhi asked him to stop breastfeeding the child.

Now, seeing Min Zhi feeding the baby with a gentle face and patting the baby’s little bottom with his hands, Fang Fengzhi’s pent-up anger was mostly dissipated. He asked the nanny to go to rest, and he was not going to go back to his room tonight.

After Min Hezhen had eaten and drunk enough, he started calling “Mom” again. Fang Fengzhi went over and held the child. Without looking at Min Zhi, he said to him, “You should go back and have some rest. I’ll stay here and take care of the child tonight.”

The man stood in front of him for a while. Fang Fengzhi could feel his burning gaze lingering on him for a while, reluctant to leave.

Fang Fengzhi sighed and said, “Let’s all calm down.”

He felt the gazes on him withdrawn, and Min Zhi said nothing more, turned around and walked out of the nursery.

Fang Fengzhi lowered his eyes and looked at the child who knew nothing in his arms. His heart was in great confusion. The problem between him and Min Zhi was like a dead knot that could not be untied or sorted out. It became a barrier that separated them.

He held Min Hezhen in his arms and lay down on the bed. The child leaned against him affectionately, blinking and feeling a little sleepy. But before long, the door suddenly sounded, and Min Zhi came in again, holding a clean bottle of milk in his hand.

Fang Fengzhi paused, frowned, but said nothing. Soon, the man lay down on the bed without saying a word and hugged Fang Fengzhi’s waist from behind.

Neither of them spoke anymore, only the sleeping child on Fang Fengzhi’s chest was still babbling, probably because he was happy after smelling his father’s pheromones. He burrowed into Fang Fengzhi’s arms, instinctively searching for his mother’s milk. But Fang Fengzhi had long since stopped lactating, and once Min Hezhen latched on, he refused to let go, biting down stubbornly as if he would never stop.

Just as he was about to push the child away, a hand reached across his chest and tightly covered it. This position made Fang Fengzhi and Min Zhi even closer, with his breasts being squeezed by the warm and strong arm. Fang Fengzhi lowered his eyes and did not move.

Min Hezhen opened his mouth and bit the hard arm meat. He bit it a few times and then retracted it, pouting his little mouth, as if he was very dissatisfied. But his mother stroked his little face and he became obedient again.

Min Zhi turned off the bedside lamp, and Zhenzhen slowly calmed down.

He thought that this night would pass like this, but he heard Fang Fengzhi’s low voice again.

“Back then, I saw…” Fang Fengzhi paused for a moment before continuing, “Fu Baiqi’s gland was severely damaged.”

He had previously thought that Min Zhi was venting his anger, but now he thought that it might be more than that. “It’s not just for revenge.”

Min Zhi lowered his eyes. He had always known that Fang Fengzhi was very smart. “At first, yes.”

But when he was slashing it with the sharp weapon, he thought again, if this place was destroyed, there would no longer be such a thing as “Destiny” for Fang Fengzhi anymore.

“The existence of ‘destiny’ is really enviable.” They seem like a perfect match, they were born to be together.

After getting the answer, Fang Fengzhi’s heart skipped a beat. This was the first time that Min Zhi had openly expressed his jealousy, bigotry, and greed. Fang Fengzhi opened his mouth but didn’t know what to say. He felt powerless and tired. He had given Min Zhi everything he could, but Min Zhi was still not satisfied. He wanted “destiny”.

The next day after getting off work, Fang Fengzhi did not go home. He could not find a solution to the problem and was even more disgusted with Min Zhi’s distrust of him, so he accepted his colleague’s invitation to go to a barbecue restaurant for a midnight snack.

With so many people gathered together, it was impossible not to drink. Fang Fengzhi had a child and a handsome and wealthy husband, so he should be the focus of this drinking party. They asked him to drink for the purpose of gossiping. Fang Fengzhi saw their intentions and felt a little dizzy after a few drinks. He simply leaned back in his chair and ignored them.

On weekdays, he didn’t like to be with his colleagues. They treated him with indifference, which made him feel that he couldn’t fit in. He used to be troubled by these things and wanted to quit his job and return to town. But after marrying Min Zhi, perhaps because he had a happy family, his colleagues’ various attitudes towards him seemed to be more tolerable.

After a brief day at work, he returned to their warmth home. A kiss and a hug from Min Zhi were enough to wash away all the day’s frustrations.

Thinking of this, he suddenly felt a little restless.

He half-stood up, bid farewell to his colleagues, and walked out. Everyone was drunk, and no one cared who was missing or who was added. He walked out the door, turned around, and leaned against the telephone pole, thinking about whether to take the subway or a taxi, when someone hugged him from behind.

Surrounded by the familiar smell of gunpowder, he looked up at Min Zhi. The person he had been thinking about was right in front of him, but he didn’t want to say anything. He had already taken off his watch, so how did Min Zhi find this place?

Min Zhi pushed his hair aside and looked at Fang Fengzhi’s groggy eyes. “You drank so much.”

“Are you unhappy?”

Fang Fengzhi’s nose felt sore, and he turned his head away. Min Zhi was asking questions even though he knew the answer. He didn’t want to admit it. Min Zhi’s words that day really made him feel too aggrieved and sad. They had reached a dead end and could not survive if they couldn’t get out of it.

Min Zhi half leaned over, carried Fang Fengzhi on his back, and even nodded. Fang Fengzhi was like a lifeless doll, letting him do whatever he wanted, neither accepting nor resisting.

He carried him on his back for a long time, through the bustling crowd, and arrived at a dim path.

“Do you feel uncomfortable? Do you want to vomit?”

“No…”

The two fell silent once more. They walked for a long time, and the road gradually emptied. In the end, only the two of them remained, strolling along at an unhurried pace. “I called you, but no one answered.” Min Zhi said, “I was very worried, so I asked someone from your company. He told me that you came here to eat with them.”

Min Zhi rarely gave such a long explanation, fearing that he would think that he had spied on Fang Fengzhi’s trip again. Fang Fengzhi lowered his eyelids. Min Zhi did not understand that the problem he was entangled with was never that Min Zhi spied on him, but trust.

He leaned on Min Zhi’s broad shoulders and glanced at the car that had been following them at a moderate pace. Fang Fengzhi felt a sharp pain in his eyes, and he blinked, “Don’t go anymore, get in the car.”

Min Zhi paused, “Okay.”

After getting into the car, Fang Fengzhi leaned against the window, closed his eyes, and gave off a clear signal that he didn’t want to talk.

Min Zhi sat next to him, and Fang Fengzhi did not respond. Fang Fengzhi being like this made him feel uncomfortable, irritated, and anxious, but he could do nothing about it. When passing the brightly lit elevated bridge, he saw the obvious mist on the window where Fang Fengzhi was leaning against. Min Zhi was stunned, turned around to look at Fang Fengzhi’s face, and saw those red eyes.

Min Zhi’s heart suddenly tightened, and he felt so sad that he couldn’t breathe. He lowered his head and kissed the Omega’s eyelids, then hugged him in his arms, “I’m sorry…”

“Tell me, what should I do?”

What should he do? He didn’t want to make his wife sad.
