GCLA VOL. 2 CHAP 2

Chapter 2: What the heck…

“I will… for you…” He paused, his voice becoming shy. “Become even more handsome…”

“Achoo!” I quickly sneezed, interrupting his words. It was strange, why did it not feel out of place at all when he said those words with such reluctance.

He immediately raised his face, still blushing, but even with his face flushed, his expression remained serious. His emerald green eyes remained focused as he said, “You should rest now, I will protect you.”

“Um… I haven’t finished what I was saying earlier…” I awkwardly looked at him.

A hint of embarrassment flickered in his emerald green eyes, and his face grew even redder as he lowered his head. “Um, please continue.”

I searched my mind for a while before finding the right words. I didn’t know how to explain my complex feelings as a young girl to this wolf who had a different thought process from mine. “I don’t know how to say this to you, but because of Chen Zihan and Fu Su, I find myself inexplicably irritated by good-looking guys. I’ve never let you into the room before, if it weren’t for that scumbag Fu Su!” Just mentioning Fu Su made me want to kill him. “So… I’ll just say it straight, I feel a bit awkward with you in human form, could you maybe…”

A silver light flashed from him, and in an instant, a majestic and handsome silver wolf, about the size of a fully grown Husky, stood by my bed. The earrings on his wolf ears proved that it was Mo Ming.

I smiled in relief and couldn’t help but reach out and gently pat his body. “It seems like we’re starting to understand each other, this is a good beginning. Thank you for accommodating me.”

“This is what I should do.” His sharp wolf face leaned close to mine, his emerald green eyes gazing at me for a moment before he slowly lowered himself, silently watching me. Under his front paw was my phone.

I closed my eyes with a sense of peace and whispered, “I hope we don’t go to the demonic realm… I hope I never have to see Fu Su again…”

I understood their dilemma. Among the useless house, the best family would be Mo Ming and Maomao’s family. They were part of the Wolf God family, and Mo Ming was even a member of the royal palace. However, they were not true god families, they were beast gods.

In the useless house, the oldest and closest to the true god families was actually the most inconspicuous one. Always malnourished and fainting at the slightest movement, Jiang Yan, who was a descendant of the Jiang family, was a true god’s child.

But he could be considered a fallen family… Look at how well the Light God is doing, while Jiang Yan can only drink some dog blood.

No matter who stood up for me, this was not a simple conflict between students, but a conflict between god races. Jiang Yan had said that among the god races, they emphasized harmony because when gods fought, it would be earth-shattering!

And I was just a small mortal in a small place, and moreover, an individual. I was as insignificant as a cell, who would make a big fuss over one cell?

Not to mention that I wouldn’t feel right about it myself. This was originally a personal grudge between me and Fu Su, involving others would be too low of me.

I can handle my own affairs. I’m not the kind of girl who is so weak and helpless that she needs the male lead or male supporting character to come save her. That kind of girl is just waiting for the male lead or male supporting character to rescue her. This plot doesn’t suit someone with my hot-tempered personality.

I prefer taking revenge with my own hands!

Therefore, I will not let everyone offend Fu Su for my sake and create a stir in the immortal realm for attention. I need to deal with Fu Su, who enjoys being the center of attention, with a colder attitude.

Fu Su took advantage of this and relentlessly teased me, unleashing the evil that had been brewing inside me for a long time.

But!

Are we humans so easy to bully?

Wait until I recover from this illness, and see how I deal with him!

But why am I getting hotter as I sleep?

What’s wrong with this house? It was like hugging an iceberg last night, but now it feels like hugging a volcano. Damn it… I’m thinking about things that are not harmonious again. This dual state of ice and fire is torturing me!

It’s too hot!

This feeling is no different from sleeping under a down comforter in the middle of summer. It’s making me wake up from the heat!

“Ugh…” I uncomfortably wipe away the sweat on my forehead, but when I raise my hand, I touch something fluffy!

Huh? I remember I didn’t bring a doll to bed.

Could it be…

The fluffy object is still breathing, rising and falling, and it’s burning hot! I can also hear heavy breathing in my ears: “Huh… Huh…”

My hand freezes immediately. In my hand is his smooth fur, and each strand of fur carries warmth, just like an electric blanket!

No! No! Absolutely not!

I squint one eye and when I see a sleeping wolf face, I immediately jump up in shock: “Ah—ah!”

“Thump!”

I fall off the bed.

The silver wolf is immediately startled awake, lifting his face and staring blankly at the wall in front, as if he hasn’t fully come to his senses.

“Xiao Lan!” Jiang Yan suddenly bursts through the door. Maomao, Si Yino, and Qing Ming all appear at the same time. Damn it! I thought you guys were here to watch the show, how did you arrive so quickly! It’s like you teleported.

“Clap!” The blood bag in Jiang Yan’s hand falls to the ground again.

Maomao immediately covers his face. “Brother… you’re so fast…” Maomao sheepishly hides behind Qing Ming.

Qing Ming gave me a thumbs up: “Good!”

Good? Good my foot! Not good at all!

Si Yino held Xiao Bai and stared blankly, the eyes beneath his long bangs shining brightly. His fair face blushed and he shyly lowered it, while the corners of his mouth started to curl upwards, revealing a sinister and mischievous expression.

Jiang Yan calmly picked up the blood bag from the floor near the door, but his green eyes flashed with a chilling light: “Mo Ming, is this really okay? Taking advantage while Xiao Lan is unconscious?”

Mo Ming turned his wolf face towards Jiang Yan, his emerald eyes showing a cold expression: “This is my business, it has nothing to do with you.”

The room began to fill with a sense of killing intent, coming from Jiang Yan and emanating from Mo Ming. The impact hit me head-on, and the other three were just watching with smirks on their faces!

“Did you get Xiao Lan’s consent?” Jiang Yan raised an eyebrow as he held the blood bag, narrowing his eyes. He slowly brought the pale lips to the blood bag, taking a sip. The blood instantly stained his lips, making him look like a beast that had just finished feeding, bloodthirsty and chilling.

“She agreed,” Mo Ming confidently said.

“I didn’t!” I immediately protested, “I only said you could stay in my room, but how did you end up in my bed!”

Jiang Yan stepped closer, standing beside me, reeking of blood.

Mo Ming remained serious, his expression solemn: “I’m doing this for your own good.”

“Huh?”

“People with a fever need to sweat it out. I’m hot, and it helps you sweat.” As Mo Ming earnestly finished speaking, my jaw dropped in disbelief.

So, he climbed into my bed for my own good? To help me sweat and recover faster?

Shouldn’t I blame him for climbing into my bed?

Doesn’t anyone think this is abnormal?!

“Yes!” Maomao emerged from behind Qing Ming, his face covered in fur that couldn’t hide his blushing cheeks. “My brother is right, we wolves have high body temperatures, so it’s warmest to sleep with us.” Maomao seemed incredibly excited, as if he had just witnessed something inappropriate for children.

Mo Ming stared at Jiang Yan, who was still looking earnestly at him, while Jiang Yan stared back, holding the blood bag in his mouth.

“The temperature in the house can change. In just a few minutes, it can turn into a sauna. Do you need me to warm your bed?” Jiang Yan gently helped me up and looked down at Mo Ming. “Hmph, as a guardian, have you gone too far?”

Under Jiang Yan’s intense gaze, Mo Ming looked at him for a moment, then confidently spoke up: “I forgot.”

“Cough!” Jiang Yan coughed, holding the blood bag. He grabbed my arm. “Xiao Lan, you’ll sleep in my room.”

“That is absolutely impossible!” Mo Ming immediately jumped off the bed and in a flash, he grabbed my arm before I could escape. With his piercing green eyes, he stared at Jiang Yan who was the same height as him. “I will never let my master become your food!”

Jiang Yan squinted his eyes slightly and looked at Mo Ming’s serious face for a moment before sitting down in place. “Then there’s no other way, the old method, let’s do it together.”

Mo Ming’s gaze followed Jiang Yan as he sat down, solemnly observing him for a moment before nodding. “Alright.”

And so, these two characters sat side by side in my room. Jiang Yan continued to drink from the blood bag, while Mo Ming crossed his arms and stared ahead.

The whole room suddenly fell silent, even the three outsiders who had been watching the scene from outside the door were now speechless, staring at Mo Ming and Jiang Yan who remained silent.

I… stood stiffly on the side, between them. Why did I feel like I was the outsider here?
