GCLA VOL. 2 51

Chapter 51: Don’t Underestimate Xia Xiaolan

The moment our eyes met, I was yanked backward by an immense force. Fu Su lunged towards me, and then I saw the space distort, my body sinking into the air behind me as if I were falling into a soft balloon.

Fu Su followed closely. I was pulled away from my world. As ash drifted past my eyes, I saw a crack in space, and beside the crack stood the black-clad BOSS, holding a black sword!

My eyes widened in shock. Seeing Fu Su about to cross over, I shouted, “Ambush—”

But Fu Su seemed not to hear me at all. His eyes were fixed on me as he charged through the crack without hesitation. Instantly, the black-clad young man leaped out from behind him and lunged with his sword. Fu Su spun around in mid-air, his flying sword rising to block the attack. I felt relieved. Fu Su was so powerful!

The rope around my waist suddenly loosened, and I fell into the ash. As I lay on the ground, a white figure flashed in my peripheral vision. She swept past me with her sword, flying towards Fu Su.

“Fu Su, watch out!” I shouted. Fu Su immediately turned to look at the white-clad woman.

But the woman suddenly spun around in mid-air and thrust her sword towards me. I quickly raised my hand to activate my shield, but the sword flashed down. I felt nothing, and then my hand disappeared from my wrist. Blood spurted out.

I was completely stunned. My hand…was gone!

My severed hand landed in the ash, the blood staining the surrounding area crimson.

“Ah————” Fu Su’s furious roar echoed from ahead.

Before me, the white-clad woman continued to thrust her sword at me. I didn’t know why she wanted to kill me, but the eyes of her white mask were cold and emotionless, as if she were merely cutting down a blade of grass. She felt nothing.

Suddenly, a red figure flashed in front of me. He shielded me with his body. I watched helplessly as the white-clad woman’s sword pierced his back. A hint of a smile finally appeared in her eyes.

My head buzzed. I had been used. I was just bait!

Their target was Fu Su!

“Fu Su!” I clung tightly to the body in front of me, watching as the white-clad woman withdrew her sword from his back, the blood splattering on the ground, staining the swirling ash.

The black-clad young man behind her, his eyes visible beneath his black mask, flickered with surprise.

Fu Su held me tightly, one hand covering the wound on my wrist. My blood overflowed between his fingers, staining his right hand red.

“Don’t look!” he whispered hoarsely in my ear.

“Fu Su!” I trembled as I covered the wound on his back, tears streaming down my face. “Don’t worry about me!”

But he didn’t listen to me, just like every other time. He never listened to anyone. He continued to cover my wound with his hand, divine light flickering beneath his palm. My bleeding slowly stopped, but his back was soaked in blood.

I glared at the white-clad woman. The black-clad BOSS stood before her, looking at her coldly. “We agreed, only Fu Su. Why did you hurt her?”

“Hmph, I can’t stand the sight of mortals.” Cold, contemptuous words came from the white-clad woman.

Fu Su’s weight pressed heavily against me. He was losing strength. I looked at my severed hand lying not far away, and my heart suddenly became strangely calm.

“She’s still useful to us!” the black-clad BOSS practically roared.

Good, they were turning on each other.

I pulled the Youjing from my pocket, held Fu Su with one arm, his hand slipping无力地 from my wrist. I buried my face in his neck and whispered, “Hold on…I’ll take you back.”

“Hmph…with you…” he said weakly, his breath warm against my neck. “You…run…”

I released the Youjing and whispered, “Go to my hand.”

The Youjing quietly flew towards my severed hand lying in the ash. Then, with a flash of blue light, my hand stood up on its own and came running towards me, fingers wiggling, instantly breaking the tense atmosphere.

The blue light immediately caught the attention of the black-clad BOSS and the white-clad demoness. They looked at me, and I glared back. “I won’t let you kill Fu Su! Even though he’s annoying!” I looked at my hand. “Come back!”

The black-clad BOSS’s eyes widened in surprise. “Stop her! She’s going to escape!”

The white-clad woman chuckled. “How can she? Her real body is still here!”

I glared at them, holding Fu Su tightly. As my hand leaped back onto my shoulder and gripped firmly, I shouted, “I’m going back—” The first thing that came to mind was the luxurious hotel room I had booked. The white-clad demoness didn’t move, as if watching a play. The black-clad BOSS leaped towards me. As he reached for me, I glared at him angrily. “I can’t let my money go to waste—It was expensive—”

Instantly, a powerful burst of energy erupted from me, blasting the black-clad BOSS away. His black mask flew off, landing in the ash. The space beneath me became like a soft balloon, sucking me in. I only saw the black-clad BOSS fall to the ground, his face hidden by the brim of his black hat.

My vision brightened. I was sitting on my large bed, holding Fu Su. The room was quiet. There was no black-clad BOSS, no white-clad demoness, no blood, no ash. Only the bright lights of the quiet room.

Eh? I had forgotten to take the room key with me!

Fortunately, it was still inserted, and the lights and air conditioning were on.

“We’re…back!” I snapped back to reality and quickly laid Fu Su down. Ignoring my own injuries, I took out the gun and struggled to tear open Fu Su’s clothes with one hand. I looked anxiously at the hand gripping my shoulder. “Come and help!”

My hand jumped down from my shoulder and started to pull at Fu Su’s clothes. I saw the sword wound. I had never seen a wound like that. Divine light flickered around it, and it was still expanding. Was this the damage caused by a divine artifact?!

I immediately aimed the gun at Fu Su’s wound. “Even though you’re annoying, I’d still be sad if you died! So, I won’t let you die! I don’t want to be sad over a scumbag like you—” A beam of light shot out from the gun, colliding with the divine light around his wound. The divine light began to melt away, like flakes peeling off, within my pink light.

Jiang Yan was right. This gun’s destructive power and healing ability were inversely proportional. The weaker its destructive power against humans, the stronger its healing ability.

And the stronger its destructive power against pure-blooded Gods, the weaker its healing ability. Sweat beaded on my forehead, and my body felt weak. I wiped the sweat haphazardly, smearing blood from my wrist onto my face. I looked at my wrist, which was enveloped in Fu Su’s divine light. He had been injured for me, and even in that moment, he was still trying to stop my bleeding.
