ICAWZ Chapter 142

ARC 4: Kiss

Ah Sui liked shiny things, but he wasn’t necessarily fixated on Blairand’s wings. In fact, he found the way the female zerg had blushed just now even more attractive, but he always hid it away, like a treasured secret, never letting him see.

The more Blairand hid, the more Ah Sui wanted to see.

Ah Sui asked again softly, his voice innocent, alluring without realizing it: “Can you show me? Please?”

His fingertips, calloused from years of work, gently traced along Blairand’s shoulder blades, stirring a faint ticklish sensation. The female’s body trembled uncontrollably for a moment, and behind him, a pair of translucent wings quietly unfurled, drooping weakly, devoid of any threat.

Seeing this, Ah Sui reached out to touch the edge of the wing, but Blairand quickly cried out, “Don’t—!”

However, it was too late. The seemingly delicate edge of the wing was surprisingly sharp, slicing a small cut into Ah Sui’s fingertip. A vivid red bead of blood slowly oozed from the wound, stark and striking.

Ah Sui exclaimed in admiration, “Your wings are incredible—stronger than my sword.”

Blairand frowned at the sight, taking Ah Sui’s hand and bringing it to his lips, gently sucking the blood from his fingertip. When he pulled away, a faint red stain remained on his lips. In a low voice, he warned, “On the battlefield, a military female’s wings turn into weapons. You shouldn’t touch them so freely—you could get hurt.”

The more beautiful something is, the more dangerous it tends to be. The wings of the southern female zergs could easily slice through an enemy’s throat, and, if needed, they could even release toxins that were nearly incurable, causing instant death.

Blairand, perhaps intentionally trying to frighten Ah Sui, paused before adding, “My wings are highly poisonous. If you got poisoned, I wouldn’t be able to save you.”

Ah Sui was startled and instinctively looked down at his cut fingertip. “Huh? Does that mean I’m poisoned?”

Blairand gently touched his fingertip. The wound was shallow, barely visible now. “Not this time. But if you keep touching carelessly, who knows next time.”

Hearing this, Ah Sui obediently pulled his hand back, lowered his head, and buried his face in Blairand’s shoulder, sounding a little dejected. “I won’t touch them recklessly anymore,” he muttered.

Blairand only wanted Ah Sui to be more careful, not to forbid him entirely. After a moment of silence, he asked, “You… really like my wings, don’t you?”

Ah Sui nodded quietly. Hidden from Blairand’s view, his eyes turned into little crescents as he smiled, bright and gentle. “I like you..r wings.”

Ah Sui had a habit of pausing dramatically when he spoke. When Blairand heard the first three words, his heart suddenly tightened, only to subtly relax when he heard the last one. Yet, along with the relief came an inexplicable sense of disappointment.

Blairand reached behind him, and with a flash of white light, his wings retracted. In his palm lay a shimmering fragment of his wing, translucent like a delicate snowflake but surprisingly firm to the touch.

He took Ah Sui’s hand, hesitated briefly, then placed the wing fragment gently in his palm. “This is for you.”

A female zerg’s wings will naturally heal over time unless severely damaged. Southern females cherish their wings more than life itself and would never reveal them lightly, let alone give away a fragment.

Ah Sui froze for a moment, then instinctively asked, “Will your wing be missing a piece?”

Blairand shook his head. “No, minor cuts on the wings will heal on their own.”

Ah Sui felt a mix of joy and uncertainty. “Does it hurt?”

Blairand thought to himself that this male was overthinking again. After all he’d endured, a small cut didn’t matter. “It doesn’t hurt.”

Ah Sui asked, “Then you really gave it to me?”

Blairand replied, “Really.”

Ah Sui: “No take-backs?”

Blairand chuckled softly. “No take-backs.”

Upon hearing this, Ah Sui suddenly let go of Blairand and began scurrying around, like a little hamster, searching through his things. Finally, he found his long sword under his seat, and, beaming with excitement, he offered it to Blairand. “You gave me your wing, so I’ll give you my sword!”

Ah Sui was broke, and this sword was the most valuable item he owned. He felt that since Blairand had given him something so precious, he had to reciprocate.

Blairand knew how much Ah Sui treasured that sword; he even wanted to sleep with it in his arms at night. Surprised, Blairand quickly held his hand down, frowning as he murmured, “Are you silly? I only gave you a small fragment. How could you give me your only weapon for self-defense?”

Ah Sui simply replied, “It doesn’t matter if I’m giving it to you.”

Ah Sui looked down at the wing fragment in his palm, then at the sword in his left hand. “You treasure your wings the most, and I treasure my sword the most. They’re the same, so there’s no need to feel embarrassed.”

He cherished his sword just as much as he valued Blairand’s wings. With that, he held his sword out to Blairand, urging, “Take it—it’s yours.”

Having someone offer their most prized possession so freely was deeply moving, and Blairand couldn’t pretend otherwise. His fingers twitched slightly, and he couldn’t help but reach up to gently touch Ah Sui’s face, which was soft and delicate, like cotton candy. “You already gave me a tassel from your sword before. I love that tassel—you don’t need to give me anything else.”

Ah Sui blinked in surprise. “Really?”

Blairand nodded, “Yes, really.”

They were too close, their chests filled with joy, and even the air around them felt sweet. In a daze, Ah Sui seemed to catch the scent of Blairand’s fragrance and couldn’t help but lean down to bury his face in Blairand’s neck, inhaling deeply. “You smell so good.”

It was the scent emitted by a female zerg in heat…

Ah Sui, perhaps influenced by the aroma, unconsciously rubbed against Blairand’s neck. “I… feel a little uncomfortable…”

Blairand noticed something was off with Ah Sui, his face heating up. He gently pressed his forehead against Ah Sui‘s, their eyelashes almost brushing against each other’s skin. Finally recalling their earlier discussion, his voice became low and tender. “Come in; I’ll help you…”

Blairand pulled Ah Sui into the bathroom they had just been in, and with a clatter, Ah Sui‘s sword fell to the ground, left lonely in the corridor.

Ah Sui didn’t understand what Blairand was doing. With his back pressed against the cool tiled wall, he felt as if he were under a spell, unable to help but wrap his arms around the golden-haired beauty in front of him. Blushing, he whispered, “Can I hold you?”

Blairand silently gave his consent.

Ah Sui tightened his embrace a little more, his gaze soft and innocent. Without knowing how, he instinctively leaned in, planting gentle kisses along Blairand’s neck, each one like a fleeting dragonfly landing on the water’s surface.

Blairand nestled against Ah Sui, his voice a bit hoarse. He wiped between his fingers with a towel, his light blue eyes shimmering with an unspoken emotion, like a pool of water reflecting hidden feelings. His chest rose and fell unevenly as he said, “Ah Sui, don’t tell anyone about today, okay?”

Ah Sui didn’t fully understand but obediently nodded. “Okay.”

His own voice had also become hoarse.

Ah Sui’s gaze fell on Blairand’s flushed lips, as if he wanted to do something but hesitated. In the end, it was Blairand who sensed Ah Sui’s intention. Blushing, he leaned in and kissed him, exchanging a tender, inexperienced kiss. “And don’t let other females do this to you, okay?”

In that moment, as they kissed, it felt like fireworks exploded in their hearts, filling them completely and leaving no room for anything else. A quiet desire for possession began to take root.

Ah Sui nodded obediently, his fingertips gently entwining in Blairand’s golden hair, harboring a secret thought only he knew. “Then you shouldn’t let other males hug you, okay?”

Blairand turned his head and kissed Ah Sui’s ear, his soft, cool lips brushing against the skin as he whispered two words: “Only you.”

Only Ah Sui.

The young lord of the southern zergs had always maintained his purity; he had never been embraced like this by any male before.

The wind had calmed, and the snow had stopped; another new night had passed.

The first to rise in the camp was always the chubby cook responsible for logistics. He was in charge of stirring the pot, with a few assistants helping to chop vegetables and start the fire, working efficiently and methodically.

Xu Cenfeng hadn’t had much sleep in several nights. This morning, while sitting by the fire to warm himself, he suddenly saw Ah Sui emerge from the starship, holding his sword. Ah Sui seemed to be in a good mood, glancing around before finally walking over to Xu Cenfeng. “Brother Cenfeng!”

Xu Cenfeng paused in his warming motion. “What are you doing out here?”

Ah Sui sat down next to him, looking a bit confused. “I’ve always come out at this time. I’m actually half an hour late today.”

Xu Cenfeng casually asked, “Why were you half an hour late?”

Ah Sui had gotten up every morning without fail to practice martial arts for over a decade, so it was unusual for him to suddenly be late by a day.

Hesitating for a moment, Ah Sui’s gaze wandered as he replied, “I overslept.”

Xu Cenfeng suddenly noticed that Ah Sui’s face turned red when he spoke, and he realized a bit too late that he shouldn’t have asked that question. Just as he was about to change the subject, he saw Ah Sui, unable to resist his conscience, hesitantly lean in to explain, “Brother Cenfeng, it’s not that I overslept; it’s just…”

“Don’t say it,” Xu Cenfeng interrupted.

Ah Sui continued, “I just…”

“Not a word,” Xu Cenfeng insisted.

Ah Sui persisted, “But I…”

“I don’t want to hear it,” Xu Cenfeng cut him off again.

Xu Cenfeng, after saying that, simply stopped warming himself by the fire and got up, heading straight back to his starship, leaving Ah Sui sitting there in a daze.

“…”

Ah Sui had wanted to share his joy with Xu Cenfeng, but it seemed he wasn’t interested at all. With a sigh, he got up to head back for a meal. Just then, he spotted a group appearing on the mountain path not far away—Black Fang, who had gone into the city to contact buyers but returned empty-handed.

“Damn it!”

Black Fang was never one to hold back his curses. Upon returning to the camp, he kicked over the fire pit, startling the surrounding space bandits. Second-in-command Carlos happened to come out of the starship and frowned, asking, “Weren’t you in the city to contact buyers last night? What happened? Was the price not right?”

Black Fang spat on the ground in frustration. “Ugh! You have no idea. The Black Eagle Alliance plans to do business in Hossburgh too. Their ambush in the wild was just to delay us! They arrived in Hossburgh five days ago and contacted all the buyers; they didn’t leave us a single deal!”

Carlos was taken aback. “What about the other buyers? Can’t you land a single deal?”

Black Fang swore in annoyance, “The rest are just a bunch of broke fools. They think they can buy a male zerg for a hundred thousand star coins? I’m not doing a losing deal!”

Hearing that their profits were being threatened, Carlos’ expression immediately darkened. Even the other small leaders gathered in surprise. “What?! A hundred thousand star coins for a male zerg? We’ve always started at fifty thousand! A hundred thousand isn’t even enough for our fuel costs to travel back and forth between the West and North!”

“Those filthy zergs from the Black Eagle Alliance! We need to show them who’s in charge!”

“If we don’t fight back, they’ll think we’re easy to bully! Second Leader, you need to give us a clear order on when we’ll strike!”

Carlos pondered for a moment but suddenly glanced at Ah Sui not far away, a cunning look crossing his face. “What clear order can I give? When it comes to fighting, we should follow the orders of the big boss. Whatever the big boss says, that’s what we’ll do.”

Ever since Carlos was soundly beaten by Ah Sui last time, he had become much more subdued, but it was obvious that he wasn’t truly honest; he was merely temporarily submitting to Ah Sui’s strength.

Going to war with the Black Eagle Alliance was a serious matter. Winning would be great, but if they lost, Ah Sui would completely lose the troops’ morale, and Carlos and Black Fang would easily find a reason to remove him from his position as the big boss.

Ah Sui could see that Carlos had ulterior motives. Noticing that the other leaders were looking at him, he maintained his composure and casually performed a sword flourish. “I’ll discuss this with the strategist first, and I’ll give you all a reply tonight.”

Carlos saw that Ah Sui wasn’t falling for his tricks and immediately pressed, “Big Boss, should I send someone to gather intel on the Black Eagle Alliance now?”

Ah Sui looked at him with confusion. “Weren’t you dead set against fighting the Black Eagle Alliance last time? You took off in the starship without a second thought. Why are you willing to engage now?”

His tone was curious, as if he were merely asking a casual question, but it exposed Carlos’s past cowardice. Carlos’s face flushed with embarrassment, shifting from blue to red, and even the other small leaders couldn’t help but laugh aloud.

At this critical moment, it was Black Fang who stepped in to smooth things over, his voice rough and hearty. “Big Boss, last time we weren’t well-prepared. Now that we’ve recovered our strength, the enemy is visible while we remain hidden. As long as we seize the opportunity, we can surely make the Black Eagle Alliance suffer a devastating defeat!”

Ah Sui repeated, “You all go gather information first. I’ll discuss it with the strategist and then get back to you.”

Quike and the others, who had been training nearby, instinctively slowed their movements when they overheard Ah Sui’s conversation with Black Fang.

Both the Black Eagle Alliance and the Klayt Alliance had been long-standing targets for the military, and if they could get the two factions to fight amongst themselves, it would not only allow them to rescue the male zergs being traded but also let them reap the benefits. It was truly a golden opportunity.

Julian exchanged a subtle glance with Quike, his expression calm. “Let’s hold off on releasing the dragonfly for now. We need to observe the pirates’ movements. If war seems inevitable, we can pass the news along at that point.”

Quike, however, expressed his concerns. “But the strategist is so refined and doesn’t seem to like fighting at all. If the Big Boss consults him, he probably won’t agree to go to war, right?”

As he spoke, he instinctively glanced over at Ah Sui, only to find that Ah Sui wasn’t looking for Xu Cengfeng. Instead, he had turned and entered the starship where Blairand was. Quike couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise, “Huh? Why isn’t the Big Boss going to consult the strategist?”

Julian hinted knowingly, “You still don’t know? The Big Boss has already appointed a new strategist.”
